Quantized Output Feedback Control of Networked Control Systems with Packet Dropout
Mei Yu,Shuang Bai,Ting Yang,Jianhua Zhang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2018 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.16 No.5
This paper considers the quantized dynamic output feedback control of networked control system(NCS) with random packet dropout in both sensor-to-controller and controller-to-actuator channels. The packet losses in the two links are modeled as two independent Markov chains and the NCS is modeled as a Markov jump system. The stochastic switching signal for the quantized output feedback controller is designed to be a function of the number of successive packet loss in both of the two channels. Quantization density varies with the networked load condition. Then a sufficient condition of the stochastic stability with a prescribed H¥ performance level is established based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii function approach. Furthermore, a quantized output feedback controller is obtained via the cone complement linearization method. Finally, simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Intensive computational complexity is an obstacle of enabling multiview video coding for real-time applications. In this paper, we present a fast macroblock (MB) mode selection algorithm for B frames which are based on the computational complexity analyses between the MB mode selection and reference frame selection. Three strategies are proposed to reduce the coding complexity jointly. First, the temporal correlation of MB modes between current MB and its temporal corresponding MBs is utilized to reduce computational complexity in determining the optimal MB mode. Secondly, Lagrangian cost of SKIP mode is compared with that of Inter16×16 modes to early terminate the mode selection process. Thirdly, reference frame correlation among different Inter modes is exploited to reduce the number of reference frames. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can promote the encoding speed by 3.71~7.22 times with 0.08dB PSNR degradation and 2.03% bitrate increase on average compared with the joint multiview video model.

A method of simultaneous determination offive flavonoids during the growth of Fructus Sophorae byb-cyclodextrin (b-CD-) modified capillary zone electrophoresiswas developed. The effects of various parameterssuch as buffer concentration, pH, applied voltage, andb-CD concentrations were investigated. After a series ofoptimization processes, the determination of five flavonoidsin Fructus Sophorae was successfully achieved in20 mmol/L borax buffer (pH 9.5), 25 kV applied voltage, and 8 mmol/L b-CD. The linearity, detection limits, repeatability, and recovery were satisfactory. Thus, theproposed b-CD-modified capillary zone electrophoresismethod was satisfactorily used to analyze Fructus Sophoraesamples. The results can be useful for the quality controland medicinal resource development of Fructus Sophorae.

Given the low accuracy of power quality disturbance (PQD) detection, a PQD detection method based on the wavelet packet transform (WPT) and improved complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise (ICEEMDAN) is proposed in this paper. First, the wavelet packet transform is used to preprocess the signal to suppress noise interference. Then, ICEEMDAN technology is adopted to calculate the local mean value by adding adaptive noise. In addition, different intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) are obtained through residual subtraction. Furthermore, the effective IMFs are calculated by the permutation entropy method to reduce false modal components and to suppress residual noise. Finally, a Hilbert transform (HT) is performed to extract the detection signal parameters. The obtained results demonstrate that this method can improve the detection accuracy and PQD speed, which results in a strong anti-noise capability.

In the last three decades, most immigration to Taiwan has been through cross-border marriage, and most (90%) of the people who have immigrated through cross-border marriage have been women. Although new immigrants are now the fifth largest group in Taiwan, they have made large contributions to Taiwan society and to their families in Taiwan. However, mainstream society still has a negative stereotype of new immigrants. Discrimination occurs in daily life. Even governmental systems and policies may not treat new immigrants fairly. These phenomena impact the daily experience of new immigrants and the enforcement of their rights. This article is the product of studies by the author during 2009-2013. It describes the challenges and stigma experienced by new immigrants from Southeast Asia and Mainland China after entering Taiwan through cross-border marriage. These new immigrants gathered to fight against the stigma. Finally, the anti-oppressive practice of the community-based immigration services is discussed.

In this study, polypropylene (PP) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) are used to coat stainless steel(SS) wrapped yarns, the product of which is then fabricated into conductive textiles. Afterwards, the tensile properties, surface resistivity, and electromagnetic shielding effectiveness (EMSE) of conductive textiles are evaluated, therebydetermining the influences of the MWCNTs content. The test results show that using MWCNT can effectively improve themechanical properties of the coated yarns and conductive woven fabrics. In addition, 5 wt % of MWCNT provides the wovenfabrics with a lower surface resistivity and higher EMSE. The influences of the lamination angle and number of laminationlayers on EMSE are investigated, and the maximum EMSE of -49.89 dB occurs when the lamination angle is 0 °/90 °/0 °.

The effects of lights with different wavelengths on the growth and the yield of extracellular polysaccharides of Nostoc flagelliforme cells were investigated in a liquid cultivation. N. flagelliforme cells were cultured for 16 days in 500 ml conical flasks containing BG11 culture medium under 27 μmol·m-2·s-1 of light intensity and 25oC on a rotary shaker (140 rpm). The chlorophyll a, phycocyanin, allophycocyanin, and phycoerythrin contents in N. flagelliforme cells under the lights of different wavelengths were also measured. It was found that the cell biomass and the yield of polysaccharide changed with different wavelengths of light. The biomass and the yield of extracellular polysaccharides under the red or violet light were higher than those under other light colors. Chlorophyll a, phycocyanin, and allophycocyanin are the main pigments in N. flagelliforme cells. The results showed that N. flagelliforme, like other cyanobacteria, has the ability of adjusting the contents and relative ratio of its pigments with the light quality. As a conclusion, N. flagelliforme cells favor red and violet lights and perform the complementary chromatic adaptation ability to acclimate to the changes of the light quality in the environment.
