      • 2-(N, N- dimethylamino) phenyl triisopropoxy titanium 화합물의 카르보닐 화합물에 대한 첨가 반응 연구

        카르보음이온 화학은 탄소-탄소 결합을 형성하는 유기합성분야에서 가장 중요한 부분중의 하나이다. 고전적인 카르보음이온, 예를들어 알킬리튬 또는 Grignard시약은 카르보닐 화합물에 대해 높은 반응성을 나타내는 반면 낮은 선택성을 갖는다. 반면에 RTiX₃(R=methyl, allyl)로 표현되는 유기티타늄 화합물은 카르보닐 화합물에 대해 화학적이고 입체적인 선택성이 높은 것으로 알려졌다. 본 연구에서는 2-(N, N-dimethylamino phenyl) triisopropoxy titanium을 합성하여 이것의 카르보닐 화합물에 대한 반응성을 본 결과 다른 유기티타늄 화합물과 같이 알데히드 화합물에 선택적인 반응성을 나타내는 것을 알수있었다. Carbanion chemistry is one of the most important field in organic synthesis, expecially for the formation of C-C bond. Though the classical carbanions, for example alkyllithium or Grignard reagent, Show high reactivity for the carbonyl compounds, but they react with low selectivity. On the other hand, it is well known that organotitanium compounds generally expressed as RTiX₃(R=methyl, allyl) have high chemo-and stereoselectivity. In this study 2-(N, N-dimethylamino phenyl) triisopropoxy titanium was prepared in situ from 2-(N, N-dimethylamino) phenyllithium and chloridetriisopropoxytitanium and was added to carbonyl compounds in order to investigate its reactivity. As a result this reagent was proved to have the same aldehyde reactivity as the other organotitanium compounds.

        기름골 기름의 산화안정성 및 지방산조성

        착유방법을 달리하여 얻은 기름골 기름을 37℃와 60℃에서 저장 중 산화안정성을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 저장 중 기름의 산가는 기간이 경과함에 따라 증가하였는데, 37℃에서 저장한 것보다 60℃에서 저장한 것이 높게 나타났고, 유기용매로 추출한 기름의 산가가 가장 높았다. 2. 저장 중 기름의 과산화물가는 37℃에서 저장한 기름의 경우 점차적인 증가를 보이다 저장 120일 이후 급격한 증가를 보이고 150일 이후 다시 감소하는 경향을 나타내었고, 60℃에서 저장한 기름은 37℃에서 저장한 기름보다 같은 저장기간에서 과산화물가 더 높게 나타났고, 그 경향은 저장 210일째까지 증가가 지속되어졌다. 3. 지방산은 oleic acid가 가장 주된 지방산으로 존재하고 있었고, 지방산은 저장기간이 경과함에 따라 palmitic acid, stearic acid, linolenic acid에서 근소한 증가와 oleic acid, linoleic acid는 약간의 감소 경향을 보였으나 저장에 따른 뚜렷한 변화는 볼 수 없었다. This study was carried out to investigate the oxidative stability and fatty acid composition during storage of chufa oil. Chufa oil was roasted at 170℃, 150℃, non-roasting or solvent extracting and stored at 37℃ or 60℃. The acid value and peroxide value of chufa oil at 60℃ were higher than their at 37℃. The acid value of chufa oil showed the trend of increase in all the samples and that of solvent-extracted oil was the highest during the storage period. The peroxide value of oils was gradually increase on the 120th day but significantly increased between 120th and 150th day. Oleic acid was the major fatty acid in chufa oil. Palmitic acid, stearic acid and linolenic acid increase and oleic acid and linoleic acid decreased during storage period. They were changed slightly and the obvious differents were not observed according to storage period.

        The effect of chitosan in soybean koji preparation and characteristics of chitosan-koji were investigated. Aspergillus oryzae KCTC 6096 and Aspergillus kawachii KCCM 11458 was used for koji preparation. a-Amylase activity of soybean koji prepared with 0.25% 10cp chitosan was excellent relative to 30 cp chitosan and 1.6 times higher than non-added soybean koji. Acid and neutral protease activities of soybean koji prepared with 0.25%, 10 cp chitosan were showed simillary higher value than non-chitosna added koji. The period of koji preperation was reduced 30% by adding chitosan.

        한우, 칡소 및 제주 흑우 Calpain-Calpastatin 유전자 다양성

        The aim of study was to investigate genetic diversity for the calpain/calpastatin gene in three Hanwoo breeds [(Brown (n=62), Brindle (n=81) and Jeju Black (n=30)]. Random samples from three breeds of Hanwoo were selected and genotyped for the 7 SNPs of calpain/calpastatin using TaqMan method. Allele frequencies were investigated for CAPN1/CAST gene. Allele frequency of CAST2 SNP was 0.75, 0.59 and 0.22 for Brown, Brindle and Jeju black, respectively. The CAST3 revealed allele frequency of 0.59 and 0.57 in Brown and Jeju Black, while it showed very low allele frequency (0.07) in Brindle. In particular, favorable allele (G allele) for the CAPN1-2 SNP which was shown a strong association with tenderness in Taurine and Indicine cattle revealed 16% and 17% higher allele frequency in Brown Hanwoo (0.82) comparing Brindle (0.66) and Jeju Black Hanwoo (0.65). AMOVA demonstrated that among population variance occupied only 10% of total variance and among individual variance was 0%, while within individual variance was 90% of total variance. This result showed that population effect contributed very small portion of genetic to these three Hanwoo breeds, while within individual variance contributed large portion of genetic diversity within these Hanwoo breeds. In conclusion, three Hanwoo breeds (Brown, Brindle and Jeju black) showed a genetically homogeneous based on the 7 SNPs of CAPN1/CAST gene and it came from same ancestor to form modern Hanwoo breed.

      • Association between ocular diseases and atopic dermatitis : A Cross-sectional study

        Background: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is an inflammatory skin disorder characterized by relapsing eczema with intractable itching. Ocular diseases in patients with AD, including cataract, retinal detachment, blepharitis, glaucoma, keratoconjunctivitis, and keratoconus, have frequently been reported worldwide. However, only a few studies using a large-sample, population-based study design have been reported so far. Objectives: We investigated the association between cataract, glaucoma, and dry eye disease and AD in an adult population in the Republic of Korea. Methods: A total of 14,900 adults who participated in the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, a nationwide, population-based, cross-sectional survey, between 2010 and 2012 were included in the study. Multiple logistic regression analyses identified the possible association between cataract, glaucoma, and dry eye disease and AD relative to matched controls. Results: After we adjusted for confounding factors in patients with AD, cataract and glaucoma were significantly associated with AD. Moreover, patients with AD had a higher prevalence of ophthalmic surgery compared to those without AD. Conclusion: Dermatologists should therefore be aware of possible ocular disorders in patients with AD and should recommend regular ophthalmic screening for early detection.

      • A case of cast related green foot syndrome

        Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) is a species of gram-negative bacilli belonging to the family Pseudomonadacea. It is well known that it rapidly colonizes and develops cutaneous lesions under high temperature, hydrated, and occlusive conditions. Recently, P. aeruginosa has been considered as one of the most common micro-organisms involved in hospital-acquired infections. A 13-year old boy presented at emergency center of our hospital with severe pruritus on his right foot. The patient was orthopaedic cast applied state due to the fracture of right tibia a week ago. He had no suggestive history of immunosuppressive diseases. Widespread greenish discoloration was found on his sole of right foot, as well as on the removed cast. Bacterial cultures revealed the organism identified as P. aeruginosa. Intravenous amikacin 500mg and topical gel composed of clindamycin phosphate 1% and benzoyl peroxide 5% had been administered to the patient and the skin lesion was much improved after 3 days of treatment. Although several cases were reported to be associated with the use of public hot tubs or swimming pools, cast associated green foot syndrome has rarely been reported. Herein, we report a rare case of green foot syndrome developed in a patient after applying orthopaedic cast, and suggest that iatrogenic causes, such as unhygienic physician’s hands and materials included in the cast, may have facilitated the development of skin lesion.

        A Rare Case of Juvenile Pemphigus Vulgaris Treated with Intravenous Immunoglobulin

        Juvenile pemphigus vulgaris (JPV) is a rare variant of pemphigus vulgaris (PV) occurring in childhood and adolescence that has similar symptoms and the same histological and immunopathological features as classic adult PV. Although rare, advanced cases of JPV can be fatal due to secondary sepsis. Many patients with JPV are misdiagnosed and therefore not properly treated in the early stages of the disease. Although systemic corticosteroids are the therapeutic mainstay, long-term corticosteroid use has various adverse effects. Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) was recently reported to reduce the side effects of corticosteroids. Here, we report a case of JPV in a 14-year-old boy treated with IVIG.
