        『서경시화(西京詩話)』의 편찬 과정과 인용 서목(書目) 연구

        본고는 18세기 평양 출신 문인 김점(金漸)이 『서경시화(西京詩話)』를 편찬하는 과정에서 활용한 여러 서목(書目) 및 문헌 자료들을 실증적으로 탐색하고자 하였다.김점은 『서경시화』를 편찬하면서 고대 시기부터 18세기 초반에 이르는 기나긴 시간축과 평안도지역이라는 공간축을 결합하여 이와 관계된 모든 문학적 유산들을 총괄하고자 하였다. 또한 10여 년간의 긴 편찬 기간이 소요되었던 만큼, 많은 문헌 자료들을 참고하고 섭렵하였음을 짐작할 수 있다.탐색 결과 김점은 『서경시화』를 편찬하는 과정에서 ① 지리지 및 관찬서류 6종, ② 평안도지역 문인들의 문집 및 저술 18종, ③ 역사서류 8종, ④ 시화(詩話) 및 잡록류 10종, ⑤ 개인 문집류 10종, ⑥ 중국 시문관계 자료 6종 내외 등, 총 58종 내외의 국내외 문헌들을 폭넓게 참고하였음을 확인할 수 있었다.결국 이 같은 참고 인용 서목의 범위는 편찬자 김점의 문학적 역량과 수준을 보여주는 동시에, 『서경시화』를 편찬하는 데 기울인 노력의 면모를 확인케 한다. This study aimed to empirically explore various lists of books and literature materials used by Kim Jeom, a writer from Pyongyang in the 18th century, in the compilation process of 『Seogyeongsihwa』.In compiling 『Seogyeongsihwa』, Kim Jeom tried to combine the long time axis of time from ancient times to the early 18th century with the spatial axis of the Pyeongan-do area to oversee all the literary heritages related it. In addition, it can be assumed that he referred and ranged over various literature materials, as it took more than a decade to compile,As a result of the research, it was confirmed that Kim Jeom extensively referred to a total of 58 kinds of domestic and foreign literature such as ① 6 kinds of geography and official document, ② 18 kinds of literary works and writings by writers in the Pyeongan-do area, ③ 8 kinds of historical documents, ④ 10 kinds of poetry and miscellanea, ⑤ 10 kinds of personal anthology, and ⑥ 6 kinds of materials related to Chinese poetry and prose, in the process of compiling 『Seogyeongsihwa』After all, the scope of the bibliography showed the literary competence and level of the compiler, Kim Jeom, and at the same time, it can be confirmed his efforts to compile 『Seogyeongsihwa』.

        Dynamic Simulation and Analysis of the Space Shuttle Main Engine with Artificially Injected Faults

        Securing the safety and the reliability of liquid-propellant rocket engines (LREs) for space vehicles is indispensable as engines consist of many complex components and operate under extremely high energy-dense conditions. Thus, health monitoring has become a mandatory requirement, especially for the reusable LREs that are currently being developed. In this context, a dynamic simulation program based on MATLAB/Simulink was developed in the current research on the Space Shuttle Main Engine (SSME), a partly reusable engine. Then, a series of fault simulations using this program was conducted: at a steady state operating condition (104% Rated Propulsion Level), various simulated fault conditions were artificially injected into the simulation models for the five major valves, the pumps, and the turbines of the SSME. The consequent effects due to each fault were analyzed based on the time responses of the major parameters of the engine. It is believed that this research topic is an essential pre-step for the development of fault detection and diagnosis algorithms for reusable engines in the future.

        Subcutaneous Soft Tissue Implantation of Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma after Endoscopic Thyroidectomy

        Endoscopic thyroidectomy with bilateral axillo-breast approach (BABA) is a feasible method of thyroidectomy with good surgical outcome and excellent cosmetic result as compared with conventional open thyroidectomy in selective patients. Thus, endoscopic thyroidectomy is widely used in treatment of thyroid diseases. However, despite the many advantages, we sometimes encounter unexpected complication, such as neck stiffness caused by adhesion, change of sensory, seroma formation, and subcutaneous soft tissue implantation. Subcutaneous soft tissue implantation of thyroid tissue is a very rare complication of thyroid surgery. However, it is troublesome to both patient and doctor. We experienced a case of papillary thyroid carcinoma recurrence at anterior and antero-lateral subcutaneous area after endoscopic total thyroidectomy. Our case presented with a papillary thyroid carcinoma measuring 2.1 cm in size and showed thyroidal capsule invasion and extra-thyroidal extension on the permanent pathologic report. Therefore, we suggest that appropriate indications should be applied for an endoscopic thyroidectomy and efforts should be made to decrease tumor cell spillage in order to prevent tumor rupture, and for careful handling and protection of the extraction site.

      • Evaluation of an Ergonomic Gaze Fixation Induction Method for Effective Visual Field Testing

        Objective: The present study is to develop and evaluate an ergonomic gaze fixation induction method for applying a visual field testing system. Background: Glaucoma which is progressive visual field defects in the ophthalmology has been screened by visual field examination. For accurate visual field testing result, it is important to fix a patient’s line of sight to a center point on visual field testing area. However, the existing visual field tester’s reliability is low because there is lack of inducing patient gaze fixation. Apparatus: To conduct the gaze fixation performance testing, the present study used a PC monitor, an input keypad, and a chin support and a visual field testing S/W applied with 24-2 threshold method (Paolo, 2006). 1<SUP>st</SUP> pilot test: The result of eye fixation performance and subjective satisfaction (7-point scale) for eye fixation targets applied with different color, alphanumeric, and shape showed no significances. 2<SUP>nd</SUP> pilot test: 5 and 10 Hz flashing dots of 0, 1, 5, and 10 Hz flashing dots as eye fixation targets had better subjective satisfactions (3-point scale) than those of the remainder. Final test: Eye fixation targets applying flash rate and shape factor including previous eye fixation targets (reference dot and flashing dot) are to be evaluated for the eye fixation performance (fixation error rate, fixation loss rate) and subjective satisfaction (easy gaze fixation, testing concentration, eye fatigue, and overall satisfaction) on 40 people (20 ~ 70 age groups). Conclusion: The flashing dot was the best gaze fixation for high testing accuracy during visual field testing. Application: The ergonomic gaze fixation induction method is expected to be used for glaucoma diagnosis with visual field examination.

      • The Effect of Eye Fixation Control Method on Visual Field Testing

        Objective: The aim of the study is to examine an optimal eye fixation control method that can be employed to a PC-based visual field testing system. Background: The existing perimeters have disadvantages in terms of size and excessive functionality. Method: Twenty people in their 20s to 70s without glaucoma participated in the study. The combinations of two types of central target form (dot and number) and two conditions of sound presence (on and off) were evaluated in terms of visual field testing performance and subjective satisfaction. The effects of gender, age, eye, central target form, and sound presence were analyzed in terms of fixation error rate, the number of detected targets, the number of missing targets, and subjective satisfaction (7-point Likert scale). Results: The average number of detected targets was 53 out of 55. The lowest fixation error rate (5.0%) was found when central target form = dot and sound = off, while the highest subjective satisfaction (5.7) when central target form = dot and sound = on. A majority of missing targets (72% in the right eye; 79% in the left eye) occurred near the blind spots. Conclusion: Preferred features of eye fixation control method were identified from the experiment, but still a better alternative needs to be explored for effective visual field testing for diagnosis of glaucoma. Application: The findings of the present study can solve as a reference to explore a better eye fixation control method for a PC-based visual field testing system which could be eco-friendly in terms of energy and size than those of existing perimeters.

        Infinite Horizon Optimal Output Feedback Control for Linear Systems with State Equality Constraints

        This note deals with the infinite horizon linear regulation problem using output feedback with state equality constraints. Similar to the corresponding state feedback problem of a previous work, an existence condition for the output feedback gain and, if it exists, all constrainable output feedback gains are determined. However, different from the fore-mentioned state feedback case, only the necessary conditions for the optimal output feedback gain which minimizes the given standard cost function are determined. The performance of the developed algorithm is demonstrated using numerical simulations for a simple model of divert control system and the lateral dynamics of an F-16 aircraft.
