I have researched the formation of the Fishing ground, environment and catches of anchovy's long bag net fishery in 1978-1980 at Go Gun San Ir. middle west coast of Republic of Korea. The results are as follows. 1.The fishing ground environment during the fishing period, so to speak, the water surface temperature is 8-26˚.5c salinity is 28.4-32.9%o transparency 0.5-11m. There is a few difference between costal region and outward region. 2.It shows a tendency decreasing on the catches of Anchovy's long bag net fishery year by year. The monthly catches during the fishing period is May in spring July-Oct. in summer and autumn otherwise, it requires a survey of reserve resources in any other season. 3.On the appearance of anchovy at GoGunSan Ir. The small anchovy is formed a fish school at near coast during spring and autumn. It is connected with the spawning school. 4.The region "C" which the salinity density is lower as better catches, after July. The region "B" is better catches than any other place. 5. The transparency of fishing ground is 11m below. It is better catches is low transparency than the transparency is high.

In order to develop the curriculum of the fishery department in the fisheries Jr. college, We have collected and analyzed the domistic and foreign data adquated to the fishey department under the international trend, also we gathered the opinion from the inquiring paper investigation and consultation to the industrial field, concerned college and graduate during the 6 month from September 1982. The fishery department curriculum in fisheries Jr. college will be industrialized with the concerned technics and knowledge in relation to speciality of maritime affairs. Accordingly, we have developed the adquate curriculum which is practical and can be cultivated the technician to adopt in the industrial society.

In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.
In Vitro Selection of Hammerhead Ribozymes with Optimized Stems Ⅰand Ⅲ

A pool of cis-acting hammerhead ribozymes randomized in their substrate recognition sequences was constructed. A variety of active cis-acting ribozymes which had various structures of stems Ⅰ and Ⅲ was selected from the pool by in vitro selection. The selected ribozymes were cloned and sequenced. The relationship between the cleavage efficiency and basepairing in stems Ⅰ and Ⅲ of the selected ribozymes was investigated. The ribozymes with the smaller difference in folding energies between the active conformation and the stable but inactive conformation showed a tendency to have the better cleavage efficiency. The optimum length of stem Ⅰ was 5 or 6 bases while the longer stem Ⅲ, in general, appeared to be required for efficient cleavage. The specificity of the ribozyme reaction is discussed in terms of the length of stems Ⅰ and Ⅲ.
