        백화사설초(白花蛇舌草), 산자고(山慈姑), 절패모(浙貝母)에 의한 MDA-MB-231 인체 유방암 세포에서의 항암 효과

        O. diffusa, C. appendiculata and F. thunbergii are reported to possess many pharmacological activities including anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-hypertension, anti-diabetic and anti-cancer effects. However, their anti-cancer activities in human breast cancer have not been clearly elucidated yet. Objectives: In the present study, we compared the in vitro cytotoxic effects of single and complex treatment of O. diffusa, C. appendiculata and F. thunbergii in human breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells. Methods: After we treated human breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells with O. diffusa, C. appendiculata and F. thunbergii. we evaluated viability, growth inhibition, morphological changes, apoptotic body formation, measurement of the cell cycle and formation of DNA fragmentation of these cells. Results: We found that single treatment of O. diffusa and F. thunbergii could inhibit cell proliferation in human breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells. However, complex treatment of O. diffusa, C. appendiculata and F. thunbergii had weak or no effect on the cell proliferation of MDA-MB-231 cells. The first, anti-proliferative effects of O. diffusa in MDA-MB-231 cells was associated with G2/M arrest of cell cycle and apoptotic cell death. The second, anti-proliferative effect of F. thunbergii in MDA-MB-231 cells was associated with apoptotic cell death. Conclusions: Taken together, these findings suggest that O. diffusa and F. thunbergii may be a potential chemotherapeutic agent for the control of human breast cancer cells, further studies will be needed to identify the molecular mechanisms.

        戴震의 고증학 사상과 문학해석의 관계 연구

        DaiZhen is a well-known scholar of the mid-Qing period. He presented a new way to interpret the scriptures. In other words, he renewed the way to interpret old sentences. Historically, researches on scriptures have caused many different interpretations. However, DaiZhen"s thought of interpreting the scriptures was objective. This was the way to research the words and pronunciations. Languages change its meaning all the time. Ancient sentences are too old to know their clear meaning. Therefore, DaiZhen researched ancient sentences with their words and pronunciations. This way of researching is the most objective. DaiZhen researched chinese ancient philosophy and literary works with this way. But, from now, there were few researches about his literatures. DaiZhen left many resources in literature. Especially, he researched the meaning of "Shijing" and "Chuci". He represented a new ideology when he researches literatures. First, writers should learn scriptures" meaning. Second, literary works should reveal the meaning of scriptures. Third, the meaning of scriptures, studying historical evidence, sentences should be unified. Fourth, to research ancient sentences, we should know the meaning of the of the words. Fifth, literary works can be interpreted by interpreting the words. Along those lines, DaiZhen interpreted literary works by the words. This way has advantages and disadvantages at once. But, there is a strong feature that made philosophy and literature together.

        중국 선진시기 유가의 인성론과 문학의 관계 탐구

        중국의 선진시기에 공자의 유가사상은 하늘을 인격이 있는 존재로 보았고, 인간이 천도(天道)를 따라야 한다고 여겼다. 이 사상은 후세에 지대한 영향을 주었다. 따라서 선진시기의 인간에 대한 유가사상은 도덕적인 인성(人性)을 말하였다. 즉 인간이 천명(天命)에 의하여 태어나면서 이미 인의예지(仁義禮智)의 도덕적 가치를 가지고 태어난다 하였다. 그러므로 선진시기 유가철학자들은 개인의 인격에도 도덕을 요구하였다. 따라서 군자의 덕목(德目)에는 행위의 준칙으로 도덕이라는 기준이 세워졌으며, 일반 사람들도 이 준칙을 향해 노력해야 한다. 그런데 행위의 준칙은 천(天)→명(命)→성(性)→정(情)으로 그 맥락이 나타나기에 결국 하늘의 원칙이 그대로 인간사회에 펼쳐지는 것이다. 이러한 원인으로 선진시기의 유가사상은 仁으로 내면의 세계를 수양하고, 禮로 행동하라고 한 것이다. 이 철학사상의 논리를 문학에서도 그대로 적용하였다. 문학사상에서 하늘의 도리를 밝히고 행하는 것이 문학의 진정한 행위라고 보았다. 이 도리를 밝히는 것은 곧 경서에서 성인(聖人)이 가르치는 내용을 따르라는 것이다. 문학창작에서는 외부의 자극에 의하여 감정이 생겨나고, 그 감정은 문학작품의 내용이 된다고 하였다. 이 감정은 곧 인성을 전달하는 것이기 때문에 인간의 도덕적 본질을 말해야 한다. 또 마음은 주관적이고 유동적인 성질이 있기에 도덕의 내용에 의거하여 善한 인품을 말해야 한다. 왜냐하면 교화(敎化)의 입장에서 사회와 국가를 위한 문학이 되어야지 결코 개인의 유희적인 행동으로 볼 수 없기 때문이다. 그러므로 문학의 형식에 있어서도 예의에 합치될 것을 강조한다. 선진시기에는 도덕에 의하여 인간의 본질을 이해하였기에, 행동방면에서도 모두 도덕을 따를 것을 말하였다. The Confucianism of Confucius in Early China viewed the heaven (sky) had personality and thought that humans should follow the way of heaven. This idea has had a profound impact on future generations. Therefore, the Confucianism about humans in Early China was the discussion of moralistic human nature. Namely, they said that a human was born with the moralistic value of benevolence as he or she was born by the order of heaven. Therefore, the Confucian philosophers in Early China required morality in personal character. Thus, in the moral items of nobel men, the morality was set up as the basis of behavior, and the common people should also strive for this rule. Since, however, the context of the rule of behavior is revealed in such a way as heaven → order → temperament → emotion, the principles of heaven spread at last to human society as they are. Therefore, the Confucianism in Early China was asserting that one should discipline one’s own inner world and act with manners. The logic of this philosophical thought was also applied to literature as it was. In terms of the ideology of literature, clarifying the ways of heaven and practicing them were thought to be true acts of literature. Clarifying this way is the same as following the contents which saints were teaching in Confucian classics. In creating literature, they said that feeling arose by external stimuli, and the feeling became the content of literary works. Since this emotion is what delivers human nature, it has to reveal the moralistic nature of human. In addition, since mind has subjective and fluid nature, it has to reveal good personality based on the content of morality. It is because the literature must be the literature for society and the state, but not the playful literature of individuals in the perspective of enlightening others. Therefore it stresses that even the form of literature should conform to the manners. Since they understood human nature by morality in Early China, they insisted that everyone should follow the morality in terms of their acts as well.

        논문(論文) : 黃宗羲反映時代精神之創作論與其實踐探討

        황종희는 명말청초의 학자로서 정치, 경제, 학술, 철학 등 여러 분야에서 탁월한 업적을 남겼다. 특히 그는 문학 분야에서 학자로서 매우 독특하고 식견이 있는 주장이 있었지만, 정치 및 학술 분야의 연구가 활발한 탓에 오히려 문학에 관한 가치가 가려져 있었다. 황종희는 자신의 시학 주장에서 시인의 주관적 감정과 만인이 가지고 있는 보편적 감정을 나누어 설명하면서, 만인의 보편적 감정이 담겨 있는 창작을 요구하였다. 특히 시인은 자신의 경력과 시대의 정신을 반영해야 한다는 주장은 황종희 본인의 인생역경과 시학주장이 서로 상통하는 내용이 되었다. 그는 반청복명 운동에 가담하였고, 청왕조가 안정되어 가면서부터는 초야에서 은둔생활을 하며 저술에 힘썼다. 또한 그는 명나라가 멸망한 원인과 사회의 불안정을 지식인의 책무로 여기고 철학과 정치사상에서 개혁을 주장하였다. 이에 그의 문학주장도 문인으로서 마땅히 시가창작은 사회현실을 반영해야 한다는 주장을 하였다. 물론 이러한 주장은 시경부터 내려오는 전통적인 시학 관념이지만, 그가 처한 시대적 상황과 상통하는 사상이었다. 그러므로 황종희는 자신의 시학주장을 창작실천에서 그대로 보여준다고 할 수 있다. 즉 자신이 처한 시대에서 경험하고 느끼는 감정을 시에 나타내야 한다는 것이다. 시인의 책무가 바로 시가의 내용에 현실을 반영하고, 또한 비판하는 것이다. 때문에 시는 경세치용의 실천인 것이다. 황종희의 창작활동은 그의 시학이론과 서로 맥을 같이하는 점이 있어, 당시 시대상황과 시인의 감정을 잘 반영하는 시대가 요구하는 정신을 나타낸다고 할 것이다.

        《史記·張儀列傳》 史事商榷一二

        Su Qin and Zhang Yi, counted among the most influential political strategists during the Warring States Period, were recorded in 〈Su Qin Liezhuan〉 and 〈Zhang Yi Liezhuan〉 which form part of 《Shiji》 by Sima Qian, as follows: Su Qin put forward the Vertical Alliance tactic, insisting that the leaders of the six kingdoms- Han, Zhao, Wei, Yan, Qi, and Chu create an alliance with one another. He also helped Zhang Yi move to Qin. After Zhang Yi came to Qin, he advocated the Horizontal Alliance strategy persuading the state to form an alliance with each of the six states. Zhang Yi’s Horizontal Alliance strategy ultimately laid the foundation for Qin’s unification of China. Nonetheless, questions have been continuously raised in academia about whether the records connected with Su Qin and Zhang Yi can be trusted. In 1973, a substantial number of silk manuscripts was unearthed from Tomb No. 3 at the Mawangdui Site of Changsha City in Hunan Province, China and 《ZhanGuoZongHengJiaShu》 was one of them. After the discovery of these records, considerable attention has been focused in academia on the historical facts relating to Su Qin and Zhang Yi, specifically on whether Su Qin had a role in helping Zhang Yi move to Qin. While Sima Qian rated Zhang Yi considerably lower than Su Qin, it is still necessary to evaluate Zhang Yi who helped Qin achieve the great dream of unifying China, from a different perspective. This study aims to treat the subject by examining objective historical sources as well as focusing on the two points mentioned above.

        叶燮诗论的文学主客观要素与其创作循环过程探讨

        Ye Xie(葉燮) tried to find the meaning of poetry’s Source and Flow, or Change and Decline in his Yuanshi(原詩) not only from the perspective of its artistic value, but from the perspective of the writer’s internal factors and poetry creation rules. The creation is done by the combination of objective elements Li-Shi-Qing(理-事-情) and subjective elements Shi-Cai-Dan-Li(識-才-膽-力), and the two kinds of elements are located in the cyclic structure influencing each other. That is to say, Zheng(正) makes Change, and then the Change moves to the Zheng again. In this light, the relationship of the cause and the creation goes through repeated cycles of poetry’s ups and downs in each era. Ye Xie’s cyclic process is to say that there are specific temperaments and creative styles for each era’s new creation. Specifically speaking, a poet’s work becomes an objective thing and then influences another poet as a objective element again. A poet studies objective elements as subjective elements for his creation, and the creation leads to works with objective rules over again. Therefore, the Shi(識) is the most important of subjective elements, and Li(理) is the standard of objective elements.

        당귀수산과 침으로 호전된 긴장형 두통 환자 치험 1례

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effects of Dangkisoo-san and acupuncture on a patient with Tension Type headache. Methods : We have given Dangkisoo-san and acupuncture treatment to a patient with Tension Type headache for 8days, and checked changes of symptoms. Main symptoms were numbness and pains in a head and a neck. Results : After treatment, the numbness and pains in a head and a neck were improved considerably. Conclusions : This study shows that Dangkisoo-san and acupuncture are significantly effective in treatment of Tension Type headache.

        도라지 유래 사포닌 platycodin D에 의한 인체 백혈병세포의 apoptosis 유도

        Platycodin D는 도라지(Platycodon grandiflorum)의 뿌리인 길경(Platycodi Radix)에 함유된 은 triterpene saponin의 일종으로 다양한 약리효능이 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 암세포 중 platycodin D의 항암활성 감수성이 가장 높았던 인체 혈구암 U937 세포를 대상으로 platycodin D 처리에 따른 apoptosis 유발기전에 대하여 조사하였다. 본 연구의 결과에 의하면 U937 세포에서 platycodin D 처리에 의한 증식억제는 apoptosis 유발과 밀접한 연관이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 platycodin D에 의한 apoptosis 유발은 pro-apoptotic Bax의 발현 증가와 연관된 미토콘드리아 막 전위의 소실 및 caspase-3의 활성화와 기질단백질들의 분해에의한 것임을 알 수 있었으며, IAP family 인자들의 발현 감소가 caspase의 활성 증가에도 영향을 미친 것으로 추정된다. 또한 z-DEVD-fmk 선처리에 의하여 platycodin D에 의하여 유발된 apoptosis가 유의적으로 억제되었기에, platycodin D 처리에 의하여 유발되는 apoptosis는 미토콘드리아 경로에 의하여 조절되며, caspase-3의 활성화가 핵심적인 역할을 한 것으로 생각된다. Platycodin D is a major constituent of triterpene saponins, which is found in the root of Platycodon grandiflorum, Platycodi Radix, which is widely used in traditional Oriental medicine for the treatment of many chronic inflammatory diseases. Several pharmacological effects of this compound have been reported recently, such as anti-inflammation, immunogenicity, anti-adipogenesis, lowered cholesterol, and anti-cancer activity. However, the mechanism by which this action occurs is poorly understood. In this study, we found that platycodin D greatly increased the potential of the anti-proliferative effect in various cancer cell lines. Our data revealed that platycodin D treatment resulted in a time- and concentration-response growth inhibition of U937 cells by inducing apoptosis, as evidenced by the formation of apoptotic bodies, chromatin condensation, and the accumulation of cells in the sub-G1 phase. Apoptosis induction of U937 cells by platycodin D correlated with an increase in the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio and caused the down-regulation of IAP family members. In addition, platycodin D treatment resulted in proteolytic activation of caspase-3, the concomitant degradation of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases, and the collapse of the mitochondria membrane potential (ΔΨm). However, the cytotoxic effects induced by platycodin D treatment were significantly inhibited by z-DEVD-fmk, a caspase-3 inhibitor, which demonstrated the important role that caspase-3 played in the observed cytotoxic effect. These findings suggest that platycodin D may be a potential chemotherapeutic agent for use in the control of human leukemia U937 cells. These findings also provided important new insights into possible molecular mechanisms of the anti-cancer activity of platycodin D.
