This is the first study to investigate antioxidant capacities of isoflavones prepared using microwave-assisted hydrolysis method from different parts (seeds, leaves, leafstalks, pods, stems and roots) of soybean at growth stages. In addition, the fluctuations in the isoflavone, protein, fatty acid, and oil contents in R6-R8 (R6: beginning; R7: beginning maturity; R8: full maturity) seeds were confirmed. The R7 seeds exhibited the most predominant contents of isoflavones (1218.1±7.3 μg/g) in the following order: daidzein (48%)>genistein (35%)>glycitein (17%). The second highest isoflavone content was found in the leaves (1052.1±10.4 μg/g), followed by R8 seeds>roots>R6 seeds>leafstalks> pods; the stems exhibited the lowest isoflavone content (57.2±1.7 μg/g). Interestingly, daidzein showed the highest individual isoflavone content with remarkable variations (57.2-766.8 μg/g), representing 46-100% of the total isoflavone content. R8 exhibited higher protein, fatty acid, and oil contents than R6 or R7. Moreover, the antioxidant capacities against two radicals in different parts of soybean plant showed considerable differences depending upon the isoflavone content. Our results suggested that soybean leaves and seeds might be useful materials for functional foods.
깊이 영상을 이용한 3D 프린팅 기반 환자 맞춤형 안와 임플란트의 설계 및 제작

In this paper, we present a novel algorithm to generate a 3D model of patient-specific orbital implant, which is finally produced by the 3D printer. Given CT (computed tomography) scan data of the defective orbital wall or floor, we compose the depth image of the defect site by using the depth buffering, which is a computer graphics technology. From the depth image, we compute the 3D surface which fills the broken part by interpolating the points around the broken part. By thickening the 3D surface, we get the 3D volume mesh of the orbital implant. Our algorithm generates the patient-specific orbital implant whose shape is accurately coincident to the broken part of the orbit. It provides the significant time efficiency for manufacturing the implant with supporting high user convenience.
A Study on the Principles of Transparency in Defense Acquisition

This study identified the essential factors framing the transparency in defense acquisition programs through case studies and cause-and-effect analysis. First, the types of corruption existing in the realm of defense acquisition were classified. Afterwards, the basic cause and the results of each type of corruption were analyzed via cause-and-effect analysis. Subsequently, the factors controlling corruption were deduced, and these factors were defined as the principles of transparency. These principles were found to be disclosure, opening and competition, check-up and verification, surveillance, and objectivity. Lastly, these principles were applied to actual cases of acquisition system reform to ensure that they could serve as principles of transparency. In future researches, other research methods, such as questionnaire surveys, may be used to deduce and verify the principles of transparency or to modify and complement the results of this study.
스마트 깔창을 이용한 보행 형태 분류를 위한 데이터 전처리 기법에 대한 연구

본 연구에서는 스마트 깔창을 사용한 보행 분석을 위한 데이터 전처리 기법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 평지 보행, 오르막 보행, 내리막 보행, 계단 오르기, 계단 내려가기, 달리기, 빠른 보행의 7가지 종류의 보행 데이터를 수집하였다. 수집한 데이터에 대해 제안한 데이터 전처리 기법을 적용한 결과를 실제 걸음 수와 비교하였다. 실험결과 전처리한 결과가 실제 걸음 수에 가까운 결과를 보임을 확인하였다.

In legumes, soyasaponins, one of triterpenoid saponins, are major components of secondary metabolites with a more diverse array of bioactive chemicals. Although the biosynthetic pathway of soyasaponins has been largely studied in soybean, the study on the soyasaponin contents and biosynthesis-related gene expression in pea (Pisum sativum L.) is poorly understood. Here, we found the accumulation of only soyasaponin Bb component in the sprouts of two Korean domestic pea cultivars (Dachung and Sachul). This pattern was consistent with our observation that increased expression of PsUGT73P2 and PsUGT91H4 genes, but not PsCYP72A69, could be responsible for bio- synthesis of only soyasaponin Bb in pea by examining their gene expression. However, gradual accumulation of soy- asaponin Bb at developmental stages was not consistent with the expression of PsUGT73P2 and PsUGT91H4, suggesting that the changes of their protein activities may affect the accumulation patterns of soyasaponin Bb. We also revealed that the increased expression levels of PsUGT73P2 and PsUGT91H4 during light to dark transition led to increase of soyasaponin Bb contents. Collectively, our results provided a molecular basis of metabolic engineering for enhancing useful soyasaponin Bb metabolites in Korean domestic pea cultivars.

In this paper, we propose a gait type classification method based on pressure sensor which reflects various terrain and velocity variations. In order to obtain stable gait classification performance, we divide the whole gait data into several steps by detecting the swing phase, and normalize each step. Then, we extract robust features for both topographic variation and speed variation by using the Null-LDA(Null-Space Linear Discriminant Analysis) method. The experimental results show that the proposed method gives a good performance of gait type classification even though there is a change in the gait velocity and the terrain.
