We have investigated the effects of applied potential, deposition time and electrolyte types on shapes and physical properties of Cu dendrites by potentiostatic electrodeposition. Finer shape of dendrites was observed at less cathodic potential by 100mV than at the limiting current, due to ‘effective overpotential’. The shape of copper dendrite is related to the deposition time, too. The dendrite depositing for 10 min showed the finest shape. The finer dendrite has the less apparent density and the larger specific surface area. Dendrite from chloride solution has the lowest density and the largest surface area among three plating solutions, sulfate, chloride and pyrophosphate.

This study aims to investigate the baby boomer generation’s level of later life preparation, and to discover the factors that influence these behaviors most strongly. The research was conducted in 2014 using written questionnaires that were completed by 504 baby boomers residing in Ulsan, South Korea. The data were analyzed using statistical methods such as frequency, percentiles, means, standard deviation, Cronbach’s alpha, ANOVA, and hierarchical multiple linear regression analysis, using SPSS 18.0. As a result of these analyses, the average level of recognition about later life was found to be 3.27 out of 5 respondents, and of their later life preparation to be 3.19 out of 5, indicating a relatively rational score. Next, it was shown that the positive recognition and higher preparation of respondents’ later life differed significantly based on variables, such as sex, income, subjective level of living, and healthy family factors. Finally, the greatest influence on respondents’ later life preparation behavior was also seen to be healthy family factors, subjective level of living, and positive recognition of their later life. All of these variables must be considered, including education on retirement for baby boomers.

본 연구의 목적은 실용적으로 사용될 수 있는 위치 인식 기반 관광 가이드 시스템을 개발하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위해 PDA를 사용하여 서울 중심부에 있는 덕수궁 관광을 위한 위치 인식 기반 관광 가이드 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 관광객들에게 현재 위치, 주변 정보 그리고 건물들의 자세한 설명 등과 함께 덕수궁을 가이드 한다. 또한 관광 가이드의 질을 높이기 위해 사용자 유형에 따른 맞춤형 가이드, 다중 언어 음성 가이드 등을 제공한다. The goal of our research is to develop a smart location-based self guided tour assistant as a context-aware real world application. As a context-aware tourist guide application, we have been developing a PDA-based location-aware tourist guide application for the old palace Deoksugung in the center of Seoul. It will guide visitors to the palace with information about: current location, attractions nearby, and details about specific buildings. The consumption of foods containing trans fatty acids (TFAs) is a matter of concern at present. According to many studies, trans fatty acids (TFAs) may cause illnesses such as the coronary heart disease, diabetes mellitus, large intestine cancer, and breast cancer. They can also raise low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and reduce high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol. TFAs can also inhibit the synthesis of phospholipids containing polyunsaturated fatty acids in arterial cells. As a consequence the Food and Drug Administration has deemed that saturated fatty acid, cholesterol and trans fatty acid levels be listed on food labels as of 2006. The Korea Food and Drug Administration also has required the listing of trans fatty acid content on food labels since 2007. The aim of this study was to determine the total lipid and trans fatty acid (TFA) contents in retort food, powdered milk, biscuit and pizza products. The number of samples examined were 2 retort food, 6 powdered milk, 7 biscuit and 3 pizza products. The extraction of total lipids in retort food and powdered milk followed the chloroform methanol method. The extraction of total lipids in biscuit and pizza was by the acid digestion method. All samples were analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) using a SP-2560 capillary column and a flame ionization detector. The TFA contents per 100g of sample were 1-2.8% (1.9%) in retort foods, 0.4-2.4% (1.37%) in powdered milk products, 0-2.9% (1.23%) in biscuits, and 2.8-3.45% (3.03%) in pizzas.
