        Structure of Moral Personality producing Individual Differences in Moral behavior

        Considerable part of moral behavior is based on psychological traits which exist in an individual. This study raises possibility of existence of moral personality as a psychological construct of personality which produces individual difference in moral behavior. As it is necessary to consider personality of an individual, that is, their temperament, character and narrative, in order to understand thoroughly the individual`s behaviors, so it is necessary to consider their moral personality in order to understand completely the behaviors of moral self. There are individual differences in types, strengths and maturity of moral behavior. It is because moral traits which produces types of moral behavior exist in an individual`s biological and genetic temperament. In addition, it is because moral adaptation which produces strength of moral behavior exists in an individual`s environmental and experiential character. Moreover, it is because moral reflection which maturates moral behavior exists in reflective and self-defining narrative. Moral personality can be conceptualized as ‘an individual`s complex organization of moral traits, moral adaptation and moral reflection which grants their life a moral orientation and coherence’ and individual difference in moral behavior originates from individual difference in moral personality. This study verifies through a series of basic empirical researches that moral personality can be structuralized in three dimensions which are moral traits, moral adaption and moral reflection. Moral reflection on one`s moral traits and moral adaptation can maturate moral behavior. Moral maturity means moral behavior becoming more familiar, versed and complete by reflecting one`s root and competency of moral behavior.

        변혁적 리더십이 역할행동, 조직시민행동 및 혁신행동에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of a leader`s transformational leadership on follower`s in-role behavior, organizational citizenship behavior(OCB), and innovative behavior. In addition, we attempt to verify the mediating effect of social identification with the work unit and personal identification with the leader on the relationships between a leader`s transformational leadership and in-role behavior, OCB, and innovative behavior. While prior studies have usually tackled the relationship between transformational leadership and follower`s in-role behavior, OCB, and innovative behavior, they have rarely examined the mediating effects of social identification and personal identification on these relationships. Based on prior literature, this study derives following hypotheses. H1: Transformational leadership will be positively related to social identification of subordinates. H2: Transformational leadership will be positively related to personal identification of subordinates. H3: Transformational leadership will be positively related to in-role behavior of subordinates. H4: Transformational leadership will be positively related to OCB of subordinates. H5: Transformational leadership will be positively related to innovative behavior of subordinates. H6: Social identification will mediate the relationship between transformational leadership and in-role behavior, OCB, and innovative behavior. H7: Personal identification will mediate the relationship between transformational leadership and in-role behavior, OCB, and innovative behavior. To test the proposed hypotheses in our study, we collected data via a survey on data 300 employees in 11 organizations, and after excluding unanswered items questionnaires, total of 213 employees data is used for analysis. Hierarchical regression analysis is used to test the proposed hypotheses. Sobel test is used to test the significance of the mediating effects of social identification and personal identification. The major findings are as follows: First, as predicted, a leader`s transformational leadership were positively associated with social identification and personal identification. thus providing evidence that transformational leaders are likely to exert their influence on followers by affecting their feelings of identification. Second, transformational leadership is closely related to in-role behavior, OCB, and innovative behavior. Third, personal identification and social identification have turned out to have a full or partial mediation effect on the relationship between transformation leadership and in-role behavior, between transformation leadership and OCB, and between transformation leadership and innovative behavior. That is, this result indicated that a leader`s transformation leadership indirectly effects on in-role behavior, OCB, and innovative behavior through social identification and personal identification. Finally, however, when we entered transformational leadership, personal identification and social identification simultaneously into the equations, social identification fully or partially mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and in-role behavior, OCB and innovative behavior, whereas personal identification only mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and OCBO. Consistent with Kark, Shamir and Chen(2003), results also suggested that different mechanisms (personal or social identification) could, at least partially, account for these different outcomes (in-role behavior, organizational citizenship behavior, and innovative behavior of followers) of transformational leadership. Given the small number of samples, this study constitutes an exploratory attempt in nature. Caution must be exercised in attempting to interpret findings and to generalize the recommendations. The results proposed in this study must be validated by further research in diverse research settings. The results of this study are limited by

        개인-직무 적합도 및 개인-조직 적합도와 고객접점 종업원의 행동 간의 관계: 매개경로에 대한 탐색

        This study examined the relationships among person-organization fit, person-job fit, and service behavior by employees in customer-contacted function. This study also examined mediating mechanisms of social exchange with organization and job involvement. We introduced ASA (attraction-selection-attrition) model to explain the relationship between independent variables and a dependent variable. We also introduced social exchange theory and JD-R model to explain the mediating effect of social exchange with organization and job involvement. To examine hypotheses, we collected the data from 204 flight crews in a large airlines of South Korea. The results of regression analysis showed that flight crews’ person-organization fit and person-job fit were positively related to flight crews’ service behavior. The results also showed that flight crews’ person-organization fit was positively related to their social exchange with organization, and that flight crews’ person-job fit was positively related to their job involvement. Finally, the results also showed that flight crews’ social exchange with organization and job involvement were positively related to their service behavior. Consequently, two variables of flight crews’ fit were not only directly related to service behavior, but also indirectly related to service behavior through social exchange with organization and job involvement respectively. This study found the positive relationships among customer-contacted employees’ person-organization fit, person-job fit, and service behavior in service firms. This results showed the importance of cultural and psychological control system to customer-contacted employees in service firms. This study also found the mediating effects of social exchange with organization and job involvement to the relationships among person-organization fit, person-job fit, and service behavior. This results showed the mediating mechanisms for the relationship between person-environment fits and service behavior. We also discussed limitations and further research directions.

        가계재무관리자의 성격, 가계재무관리행동이 가계재무만족도에 미치는 영향 분석

        This study examined the effect of household financial managers’ personality traits and financial planning behavior on their financial satisfaction. Specifically, we studied how financial planning behavior and financial satisfaction differ based on household characteristics. Also, we studied the effect of extroversion, introversion, and goal orientation on financial planning behavior and financial satisfaction by covariance structural analysis. While this study also tested the regulation effect of household income and education levels. The results are as follows. First, man, living in capital area, not retired household, households of two are active on financial planning behavior. On the other hand, financial satisfaction was high level to man, high school graduate, homeowner, not living in capital area, the level of income in higher than 3,000,000won, and young child. Second, extroversion had positive effect on financial planning behavior and financial satisfaction, whereas introversion did not have significant effects on both financial planning behavior and financial satisfaction. Also, financial planning behavior makes static effect to financial satisfaction. Third, this study identified the regulation effect of household income and education levels. Through the regulation effect, the income level had no regulation effect on personality to financial planning behavior, but factors of influencing between financial planning behavior and financial satisfaction had regulation effect on income level. On the other hand, by testing regulation effect on education level, personality had effects on static relationship of financial planning behavior. Extroversion and introversion had higher effects on high school graduate, but goal orientation had higher effect of financial planning behavior to university graduate. Also, financial planning behavior had higher effect to university graduate on financial satisfaction. 본 연구에서는 가계재무관리자의 성격 및 가계재무관리행동이 가계재무만족도에 미치는 영향력을 검증하였다. 구체적으로 가계재무관리행동과 가계재무만족도가 가계재무관리자의 사회․인구학적 특성에 따라 차이가 있는지를 분석․검증하였다. 또한 가계재무관리자의 성격을 외향성, 내향성, 목표지향성으로 구분하고 성격 특성의 차이가 가계재무관리행동의 적극성과 가계재무만족도에 미치는 영향력을 공변량구조 분석을 통해 조사하였다. 이때 소득수준, 교육수준의 조절효과를 검증하였다. 끝으로 가계재무관리행동의 적극성과 가계재무 만족도에 영향 미치는 변수를 조사하였다. 본 연구 결과를 정리․종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 남성, 서울 및 수도권 도시에 거주하는 경우, 은퇴가계가 아닌 경우, 가족수가 2인 경우 가계재무관리행동이 적극적인 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 가계재무만족도는 남성, 고졸자, 주택을 보유한 경우, 비수도권 거주자, 가계소득수준이 300만원을 초과하는 경우, 성인자녀(은퇴가계)가 아닌 경우 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 공변량 구조분석 분석 결과 가계재무관리자의 외향성, 목표지향성이 가계재무관리행동에 유의한 정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 내향성은 영향을 미치지 않았다. 또한, 가계재무관리행동이 가계재무만족도에 정적인 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 본 연구의 구조모델에서 가계소득과 교육수준의 조절효과를 확인하였다. 조절효과를 구체적으로 살펴보면 가계소득수준에 따라서는 성격이 가계재무관리행동에 미치는 영향에서 조절효과가 나타나지 않았으나 가계재무관리행동이 가계재무만족도에 미치는 영향에서 소득수준의 조절효과가 검증되었다. 다만 고소득 가계에서 가계재무관리행동이 가계재무만족도에 미치는 정적 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 교육수준의 조절효과를 검증한 결과 성격이 가계재무관리행동에 미치는 정적 관계에서 교육수준의 조절효과가 검증되었다. 외향성과 내향성이 가계재무관리행동에 미치는 영향은 고졸 집단에서 더 높았으나 목표지향성이 가계재무관리행동에 미치는 영향력은 대졸 집단에서 더 높았다. 또한, 가계재무관리행동이 가계재무만족도에 미치는 정적 영향은 대졸 집단에서 높은 것으로 나타났다.

        중국 후난성 예술디자인학과 대학생의 자아상태와 창의적 행동 간의 내적⋅외적 동기의 매개효과

        Objectives For university students majoring in art design in Hunan Province of China, how personality traits and ‘internal and external motive’ influencing creative behavior relate to creative behavior is explored. And I would like to explore whether internal and external motive serve as partial or complete parameters between personality traits and creative behavior, or do not act as parameters. Methods The subjects of the study are college students majoring in art design in Hunan Province, and SPSS 25 program is used to perform reliability, correlation, and regression analysis of personality traits, internal and external motives, and creative behavior. That is, in the regression analysis, a simple regression analysis of internal or external motives(dependent variables) according to the average value of CP and FC, self-state* (independent variable), is performed. Simple regression analysis of creative behavior according to self-state* is performed, and multiple regression analysis of creative behavior according to self-state* and internal or external motivation is performed. Results In the results of this study, the personality traits of ‘critical parent(CP)’ and ‘free child(FC)’ show 25% explanatory power for internal motivation, 16% explanatory power for external motivation, and 43% explanatory power for creative behavior. The personality traits of CP and FC and internal motivation show 31% explanatory power for creative behavior. The personality traits of CP and FC and external motivation show 29% explanatory power for creative behavior. It is confirmed that each internal and external motive partially mediate the effect of the personality traits of FC and CP on creative behavior. Conclusions In order to cultivate the creative behavior of college students in Hunan Province's art design department and to develop each student's competitiveness and art design department, it is necessary to create an environment of school and society so that college students can create creative values in free discussion and freedom. It is necessary to stir up internal motivation that values pleasure and challenge rather than inducing external motivation that focuses on rewards. 목적 본 연구는 중국 후난성 예술디자인학과 대학생을 대상으로, 창의적 행동에 영향을 주는 자아상태와 내적⋅외적 동기가 창의적행동과 어떠한 관계를 갖는지를 탐색하였다. 그리고 내적 동기와 외적 동기가 자아상태와 창의적 행동 사이에서 부분 혹은 완전 매개변수로서 역할을 하는지, 아니면 매개변수로 작용하지 않는 것인지에 관하여 탐색하고자 한다. 방법 연구대상은 후난성 예술디자인학과 대학생들이며, SPSS 25 프로그램을 사용하여 자아상태, 내적⋅외적 동기, 창의적인 행동의 신뢰도, 상관관계, 회귀의 분석 등을 하였다. 즉 회귀분석에서는 ‘비판적 부모의 자아상태(critical parent: CP)와 자유로운 어린이의 자아상태(free child: FC)의 평균값’인 자아상태*(독립변수)에 따른 내적⋅외적 동기(종속변수)의 단순회귀분석을 하였고, 자아상태*에 따른 창의적 행동의 단순회귀분석을 하였고, 자아상태*와 내적⋅외적 동기에 따른 창의적 행동의 다중회귀분석을 하였다. 결과 이 연구결과에서, 자아상태의 ‘CP와 FC’는 내적 동기에 대한 설명력이 25% 정도, 외적 동기에 대한 설명력이 16% 정도, 창의적 행동에 대한 설명력이 43% 정도로 나타났다. ‘CP와 FC’의 자아상태와 내적 동기는 창의적 행동에 대한 설명력이 31% 정도였고, ‘CP와 FC’의 자아상태와 외적 동기는 창의적 행동에 대한 설명력이 29% 정도였다. 각 내적 동기와 외적 동기는 ‘FC와 CP의 자아상태’가 창의적 행동에 미치는 효과를 부분적으로 매개하였다. 결론 후난성 예술디자인학과 대학생의 창의적 행동을 증진하고 각 학생의 경쟁력과 예술디자인학과의 발전을 위해서는 대학생들로하여금 자유로운 토론과 자유로움 속에서 창의적인 가치의 창출이 될 수 있도록 학교와 사회의 환경을 조성해 가야 할 것이다. 또한창의적 행동을 함양하기 위해서는 보상을 위주로 하는 외적 동기의 유발보다는 즐김과 도전을 중시하는 내적 동기의 유발이 필요하다.

        영업사원의 성격유형이 영업성과와 직무만족에 미치는 영향: 관계판매행동을 중심으로

        The role of a salesperson is vital because he or she directly interacts with customers on behalf of the company. The performance of the company is based on customer satisfaction, improvement of sales performance, and job satisfaction of the salesperson through relationship-driven sales behavior. This behavior comprises all the activities of the salesperson for the establishment, maintenance, and reinforcement of relationships with existing and new customers in the sales process. Furthermore , relationship-driven sales can be classified into customer orientation and adaptive sales behavior. In order to analyze the effect of the relationship-driven sales behavior on sales performance and job satisfaction, we conducted a survey on insurance planners and managers and presented the individual analysis result for customer orientation and adaptive sales behavior. In addition, on the basis of the relationship between the personality traits and behaviors of the salesperson, we analyzed the difference between the effect of the relationship-driven sales behavior on the sales performance and that on the job satisfaction according to the salesperson’s personality type. The moderating role of the personality type was verified by dividing the respondents’ personality types through the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test . We found the significant effect of customer orientation and adaptive sales behavior on job satisfaction and sales performance, respectively . Moreover, the effect of relationship-driven sales behavior on sales performance and on job satisfaction varies significantly according to personality type. This study attempts to provide practical implications for recruitment, training, and management of salespeople by emphasizing the importance of relationship-driven sales behavior in the insurance industry and the effect of this behavior, which is dependent on the salesperson’s personality type. 기업을 대표하여 고객과 직접적으로 상호작용하는 영업사원의 역할은 매우 중요하다. 기업의 성과는 영업사원의 관계판매행동을 통한 고객 만족, 영업성과의 향상, 영업사원의 직무만족의 결과로써 나타난다. 관계판매행동은 기존, 신규 고객과의 관계 구축 및 유지, 강화를 위해 영업사원이 판매 과정에서 수행하는 모든 활동으로, 고객지향성과 적응판매행동으로 구분할 수 있다. 본 연구는 영업사원의 관계판매행동이 영업성과와 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 보험설계사 및 관리자를 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하고 고객지향성과 적응판매행동 각각에 대해 실증 분석 결과를 제시하였다. 또한, 영업사원의 성격 특성과 영업사원의 행동 간의 관련성을 바탕으로 영업사원의 성격유형에 따라 관계판매행동이 영업성과와 직무만족에 미치는 영향에 어떠한 차이가 있는지 밝혔다. 응답자의 성격유형을 MBTI 성격유형 검사를 통해 구분하여 성격유형의 조절적 역할을 검증하였다. 분석 결과 고객지향성은 직무만족에, 적응판매행동은 영업성과에 직접적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 성격유형에 따라 관계판매행동이 영업성과, 직무만족에 미치는 영향에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 본 연구는 보험 산업에서 관계판매행동의 중요성 및 효과, 그리고 영업사원의 성격유형에 따른 관계판매행동의 효과를 제시하여 영업사원의 채용, 영업사원에 대한 교육과 관리 등에 관한 실무적 시사점을 제공하였다.

        성격 및 자기개념이 초기 청소년기의 처방준수 행동 및 건강행동 실천과 어떤 관계가 있는가?

        This study identified the correlations of personality and self-concept with medication compliance, adherence and practice of health behaviors among students in early adolescence. Additionally, the regression models for medication compliance, practice and adherence of health behaviors with personality and self-concept were examined. Participants were 369 male and female students in elementary and middle schools. Personality was measured by Big-5 personality traits, self-concept was measured by self-esteem, self-efficacy, and self-confidence, and adherence was measured by adherence of health behaviors and medication compliance. Practice of health behaviors in daily life was also measured. Correlational analysis revealed that neuroticism, conscientiousness, and openness were significantly correlated with medication compliance, whereas all factors of Big-5 personality traits were significantly correlated with adherence and practice of health behaviors. Self-esteem, self-efficacy, and self-confidence of adolescents were positively correlated with medication compliance, practice and adherence of health behaviors. In multiple regression models, Big-5 personality traits and three self-concepts accounted for 11.0% and 11.7% of variation in medication compliance by , respectively. In addition, Big-5 personality traits and self-concepts accounted for the variance of adherence of health behaviors by 19.6% and 14.2%, respectively while Big-5 personality traits and self-concepts accounted for the variance of practice of health behaviors by 30.5% and 25.4%, respectively. Stepwise regression analyses indicated that self-confidence was a determinant for medication compliance, conscientiousness for adherence of health behaviors, and self-efficacy for practice of health behaviors. This study provided useful information about accountability of personality and self-concept for adherence and practice of health behaviors among children and adolescents. 본 연구에서는 초기 청소년기에 있는 학생들의 성격과 자기개념이 복약순응, 건강행동 처방준수 및 실천과 관계가 있는지를 확인하고, 각각 성격과 자기개념이 복약순응, 건강행동 처방준수 및 실천을 예언하는 회귀모형을 검증하였다. 연구 참여자는 369명의 남녀 초등학생과 중학생이었다. 본 연구에서는 성격으로 5요인 성격을, 자기개념으로 자존감, 자기효능감 및 자신감을, 처방준수로 건강행동 준수와 복약순응을, 그리고 일반적인 건강행동을 실천하는 정도를 측정하였다. 상관분석 결과, 청소년의 성격 중에는 신경증적 경향, 성실성 및 개방성이 복약순응과 유의한 상관이 있었으며, 성격 5요인 모두가 건강행동 준수나 실천과 유의한 상관을 보였다. 청소년의 자존감, 자기효능감 및 자신감이 복약순응, 건강행동 준수 및 실천 모두와 정적 상관이 있었다. 중다회귀모형에서는 5요인 성격과 자기개념이 각각 복약순응의 변량을 11.0%와 11.7% 가량 설명하고 있었다. 한편 5요인 성격과 자기개념이 각각 건강행동 준수의 변량을 19.6%와 14.2% 가량 설명하고, 건강행동 실천의 변량을 30.5%와 25.4%를 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 단계적 회귀분석 결과, 복약순응에는 자신감이, 건강행동 준수에는 성실성이, 건강행동 실천에는 자기효능감이 가장 결정적인 변인이었다. 이런 결과는 아동이나 청소년의 처방준수와 건강행동에 대한 성격과 자기개념의 영향력에 관한 정보를 제공한다.

        고등학생의 일탈행동 영향요인 분석

        Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors affecting Deviant Behaviors of Korean High school Students. Method: Data was collected from October 8 to 31, 2002. The subjects for this study were 697 Korean High school Students(boys 347, girls 350), recruited from two High School located in Seoul. Data collection was conducted through the use of 6 Questionnaire that modified by the investigator. The data was analyzed by the SPSS win 10.0 program using Descriptive statistics, Pearson Correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression. Result: 1) The mean of total item score the Deviant Behaviors scales was 1.59, which was slightly low. 2) There was a significant correlation between Deviant Behaviors, Type A Personality, Aggression, Impulsivity, Stress and Social Support(γ= .11 ~ .65, p<.001), but It was no significant correlation Type A Personality and Stress(γ= -.01). 3) Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that (1) Impulsivity, Social Support and Type A Personality were the predictors of Deviant Behaviors and account for 18.6% of the variance in Deviant Behaviors. (2) Impulsivity account for 3.6% of the variance in Deviant Behaviors in Subjects with a lower degree of score the Deviant Behaviors. Impulsivity and Social Support account for 23.2% of the variance in Deviant Behaviors in subjects with higher degree of score the Deviant Behaviors. (3) Impulsivity account for 18.3% of the variance in Deviant Behaviors in High school girls (n=350). Impulsivity and Social Support account for 20.1% of the variance in Deviant Behaviors in High school boys (n=347). Conclusion: Impulsivity and Social Support account for Deviant Behaviors of High school Students. Therefore it is necessary to develop nursing intervention to reduce the level of Impulsivity, to increase the Social Support in order to decrease the Deviant Behaviors.

        목표지향성과 혁신직무행동:대인-환경 적합성의 조절효과

        본 연구는 기질활성화이론(Trait Activation Theory)을 바탕으로 하여 목표지향성(goal orientation)과 개인-환경적합성(person-environmental fit)이 혁신직무행동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 한국의 다양한 기업에서 근무하는 종업원들을 대상으로 목표지향성, 개인-상사적합성(person-supervisor fit)과 개인-직무적합성(person-job fit)을 중심으로 한 개인-환경적합성 및 혁신직무행동에 대한 설문조사를 실시한 후 응답자료를 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 자료분석 결과 가설에서 예측한대로 혁신직무행동은 숙달목표지향성(mastery goal orientation) 및 성과목표지향성(performance goal orientation) 과 혁신직무행동과 정적인 관련성을 보였으며 회피목표지향성(avoidance goal orientation)과는 부적인 관련성을 나타냈다. 또한 개인-환경적합성의 조절효과를 분석한 결과 개인-상사적합성은 성과목표지향성과 혁신직무행동과의 관계를 정적으로 조절하는 반면 개인-직무적합성은 숙달목표지향성과 혁신직무행동의 사이를 정적으로 조절한다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 본 연구의 결과는 성격과 환경의 상호작용을 통해 직무관련행동을 설명하려는 기질활성화이론에 대한 중요한 경험적 증거를 제시하며 또한종업원의 목표지향성과 그들의 직무환경과의 적합성을 반영하는 선발과 교육전략의 필요성에 대한 논의와 정당성을 제시한다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the interactive impacts of goalorientation and person-environment fit on innovative work behaviors based on the Trait Activation Theory. Employees working at various firms in South Korea participated in a survey to respond to the questionnaire measuring goal orientations, person-environment fit, and innovative work behaviors. Analyses of data showed that mastery and performance approach goal orientation were related positively to innovative work behaviors supporting the proposed hypotheses.In addition, person-supervisor fit significantly and positively moderated the relationships between two types of performance goal orientations and innovative work behaviors, whereas person-job fit positively moderated the relationship between mastery goal orientation and innovative work behaviors. This study provides evidence supporting the Trait Activation Theory that explains work related behaviors through the interactions of personality and environment. The knowledge from this study may help to inform the selection and training strategies reflecting individuals’ goal orientations and their fit with work environment. This study is one of the first studies that investigate interactional effects between 3-factor construct of goal orientations and person-environment it on innovative work behavior. The findings from the present study help us understand how individual employees’ motivational factors and their fit with work environment to be combined in producing innovative work behaviors.
