        가정보육시설과 기관보육시설의 질적 특성과 영아의 사회·정서 발달

        The purposes of this study were to investigate the quality (structure and process) of home-based day care and center-based day care, and to examine socioemotional development among infants who were in both types of day care. The subjects of this study were 101 infants who were in home-based day care and 181 infants who were in center-based day care. The measurements were socio-emotional development scale and assessment scales for day care programs. Results indicated that, first, home-based day care did not significantly differ from center-based day care in terms of structure. Second, home-based day care were, to some degree, significantly different from center-based day care in the process: home-based day care had better play environment and play activities than did center-based day care. Lastly, there were significant differences in socio-emotional development among infants according to the type of day care: infants in home-based day care were more independent to their teacher and felt more secure in child care homes than was true for the infants in center-based day care.

        인구감소지역 어린이집 원장의 보육정책에 관한 인식과 요구

        Objectives The purposes of this study was to examine day-care center directors’ child-care policies in the depopulation areas. Methods To this end, it administered questionnaires to directors of 25 day-care centers located at the depopulation areas and conducted a descriptive statistical analysis on the responses. Results The findings are as follows: First, the reorganization of the child-care support system was positively recognized in terms of the management of day-care centers and extended class, the enhancement of child-care quality and users’ satisfaction. On the other hand, it did not contribute to the reduction of day-care teachers’ paperwork, preparation for daily lessons and increase of research time. The management of open child-care centers was positively recognized, while it was reported to increase day-care center teachers’ workload and make it difficult to encourage parents’ participation. The service satisfaction of the day-care center support system was generally higher. Second, it was found to be most difficult to ‘attract kindergartners’ in managing day-care centers in the depopulation areas. Vulnerable child-care services (young children with special needs and multicultural child-care) were in the strongest demand. Conclusions This study intends to provide basic data for developing and managing child-care policies proper and specific to the depopulation areas and suggestions for more substantial customized child-care policies.

        어린이집 아동학대에 대한 보육교사의 경험, 인식 및 상담 요구도에 관한 연구 -포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 중심으로-

        본 연구의 목적은 보육교사의 어린이집 아동학대 관련 경험, 아동학대 증가 및 발생 원인에 대한 인식, 아동학대 예방 및 근절을 위해 필요하다고 생각하는 상담 및 상담 기관에 대한 요구도는 무엇인지를 심층적으로 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울 소재 어린이집 원장 및 보육교사 7명이며, 연구방법은 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 사용하였다. 첫째, 보육교사의 아동학대 관련경험은 목격 경험이 있으나 아무런 조치를 취하지 않았고, 학대 사례 판정과정은 체계적 조사부재·장기간 시간 소요·아동학대 판정기준 모호함·보육현장 고려한 전문가 부재 의미범주로 구분되었으며, 아동학대 신고 전 보육교사와 부모 간 의견 조율 조정기관이 필요한 것으로 나타났다, 둘째, 보육교사의 아동학대 증가에 대한 인식은 직업정체감 혼란 및 직무만족도 저하, 아동학대 관련 과도한 심리적 부담감 및 좌절감, 아동학대 정의 및 범주의 모호성으로 인한 보육의 어려움의미범주, 셋째, 아동학대 발생 원인은 보육교사 요인, 영유아 요인 및 부모 요인 의미범주, 넷째, 아동학대 관련 상담 요구도는 보육교사, 영유아 및 부모를 위한 상담 및 심리치료, 영유아발달상담전문요원의 보육관련 심리지원, 보육교사 권리보호 지원 의미범주, 다섯째, 아동학대 관련 상담기관 요구도는 보육교사 아동학대 전담 상담 기관 신설 및 형태 의미범주, 마지막으로 아동학대예방 및 근절을 위해 필요한 조치는 보육현장을 고려한 아동학대 예방 교육, 보육교사 간 내부모니터링 체계 구축, 보육교사 자격정지 및 법적조치 의미범주로 구분되었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 어린이집 아동학대 예방을 위한 효과적인 상담 프로그램 개발이 가능할 것으로 기대된다. This study is an in-depth examination of child abuse experience at day care centers, perception of increase and cause of child abuse by day care center teachers, and teachers’ need for counseling and a counseling center to prevent and eliminate child abuse. A focus group interview with a director and seven teachers of a day care center located in Seoul revealed the following findings. First, the interviewees had experience of witnessing child abuse and taking no actions. Problems with assessment of child abuse cases included lack of systematic investigation, a long period of evaluation, unclear standards for assessment of child abuse, and absence of expertsspecialized in child care. It was also found that a mediating organization was required to arbitrate between parents and teachers before child abuse cases were reported. Second, perception of increase in child abuse cases among teachers included confusion of job identity, decline of jab satisfaction, excessive psychological burden and frustration regarding child abuse, and difficulty in child care due to unclear definition and classification of child abuse. Third, cause of child abuse included teacher factors, child factors, and parent factors. Fourth, need for counseling regarding child abuse included counseling and psychotherapy for teachers, children, and parents, psychological support for child care by child development and psychology experts, and protection of rights of teachers. Fifth, need for a counseling center about child abuse included establishment of a counseling center specialized in child abuse by day care center teachers. Finally, measures to prevent and eliminate child abuse included training for prevention of child abuse in consideration of the current situation of child care services, installation of the internal monitoring system among day care center teachers, and suspension of and legal regulation against teachers involved in child abuse. Implications and follow-up studies were also suggested.

        모의 어린이집 아동학대 관련 경험, 인식 및 상담 요구도 실태조사

        This study examines perception and experience of child abuse at day care centers and need for counseling among 519 mothers. Major findings are as follows. First, 76 mothers (14.6%) had experience or suspicion of their children having been abused at day care centers and 92 mothers (17.7%) had experience or suspicion of other children having been abused at day care centers. The most frequently adopted response was to protest against abusing teachers or directors. The biggest reason of taking no actions was the probability of being harmed or disadvantaged when their children were abused and that the degree of abuse was not serious enough to intervene or evidence was not clear when other children were abused. Second, the biggest cause of child abuse by day care center teachers was job stress followed by characteristic problems and mental health problems of teachers. Third, in terms of follow-up measures, cancellation of teaching license was demanded most highly for abusing teachers while administration of in-depth psychological assessment for abused children and their parents. Fourth, child abuse counseling was mostly done at the mental health department of hospitals in the format of professional psychological test and diagnosis, and 11 mothers (47.8%) responded the level of satisfaction with counseling was mediocre. Fifth, 470 mothers (90.6%) said they would use a counseling center specialized in child abuse by day care center teachers if such organization was established. They said such organization would help them decide on whether to report abuse of their children as well as prevent child abuse. They also responded the organization should be installed in the counseling center in the comprehensive child care support center. Sixth, 498 mothers (94.2%) said counselors specialized in development and psychology of young children were required to address child abuse by day care center teachers for play therapy for young children and counseling for parents and teachers. Qualification was at least college graduates who majored in psychology and child care with three to five years of field experience under appropriate licenses or certificates. Finally, they demanded mandatory installation of CCTVs in day care centers to prevent and eliminate child abuse at day care centers. Implications and follow-up research were also provided and suggested based on the findings.

        어린이집 프로그램에 대한 부모 관점의 평가

        본 연구에서는 어린이집 프로그램에 대한 부모 관점의 평가가 어떠한 양상을 보이며, 부모 평가가 프로그램의 전반적 질, 가정과 어린이집간의 협조, 그리고 아동 및 교사 변인과 어떠한 관계가 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울·경기 지역에 위치한 6개 어린이집과 각 기관에 재원 중인 영유아의 부모 202명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 연구 결과. 어린이집 프로그램에 대한 부모 관점의 평가는 전반적으로 긍정적인 것으로 나타났으며, 어린이집 프로그램에 대한 부모의 평가와 만족도는 프로그램의 질에 대한 5개 하위 영역 중 학습환경 영역과 의미 있게 관련되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 어린이집에서 제공하는 정보가 다양하고 부모가 어린이집의 다양한 활동에 참여할수록, 그리고 가정과 어린이집 간에 긴밀하고 다양한 의사 소통이 이루어질수록 어린이집에 대한 부모의 평가가 긍정적이었다. 그 외에도 아동이 어린이집에 다닌 기간이 길수록 교사의 연령과 경력이 많을수록 부모의 평가가 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. This study examines the relationship between parents' evaluation of day care programs and experts' evaluation of the same programs. A total of 202 parents of young children enrolled in 6 day care centers in Seoul and Kyunggi-Do, Korea completed the parent evaluation questionnaire. Items in the questionnaire consisted of two categories. The first dealt with parents' evaluation of day care programs in terms of their children's enjoyment at the center and the behavioral changes they observed in their children (6 items), parents' opinions of and satisfaction with the day care center in which their child was enrolled (10 items). The second concerned parental involvement, communication between the center and parents, and information provided by the center. The experts' evaluation of the same programs was carried out by trained observers using the Observation Scale for Day Care Programs (Rhee, Song, Shin, Choi, 2001). The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlations. Major results were as follows: First, parents' evaluation of day care programs was positive in general, with an indicating mean of 2.5 for children's enjoyment at the center and behavioral changes, 2.6 for parents' opinions and general satisfaction of daycare center. Second, parents' opinions of and satisfaction with their daycare center related positively to the quality rating of the classroom's learning environment. Third, parents' evaluation of daycare programs related positively to information provided by the center, to the degree of parental involvement, and to communication between the center and parents. Fourth, the longer the children attended a center, the more positive were their parents assessments of that center. Parents' opinions and satisfaction was more positive as the age and experience of the teachers increased.

        주간 및 단기보호시설 이용노인의 건강상태 조사연구

        주간 및 단기보호시설은 핵가족화, 노인인구의 증가, 여성의 사회진출 등으로 그 필요성이 강조되고 있으므로, 이들 시설 이용노인의 서비스 요구에 부합되는 프로그램개발의 기초자료로 활용하기 위하여 본 연구는 실시되었다. 연구목적은 보호시설 노인의 건강상태 파악, 노인의 일반적 특성별로 건강상태의 차이를 파악하는데 있다. 자료수집방법은 1997년 4월 20일부터 5월 10일까지 서울시에 위치한 6개의 주간 및 단기보호시설의 이용자 111명을 대상으로 사전에 교육받은 조사요원이 직접 면담을 통하여 자료를 수집하였다. 조사결과 신체적·정신적 측면의 증상호소율은 노인 1인당 7.67개 었으며 단기보호시설 이용자의 1인당 평균 호소율은 8.59개로써 주간보호시설 이용노인의 6.76개보다 높았으나 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 본 분석자료를 기초로 할 때 보호시설에는 기능회복을 위한 전문적인 의료 및 간호서비스가 보충되어야 하며 재활서비스 역시 강화되어야 한다. The drastic social change in recent years resulted in the shift in family structure from large family to nuclear one and increased the number of working women. The population is becoming aged due to the extended life expectancy. The purpose of this study was to find out the health status of the elderly in day care center and short care center through the secondary data analysis. The data of 3 day care centers and 3 short care centers surveyed in 1997 by the Korea Gerontological Society and Seoul Municipal Government were analyzed. An investigation was conducted from April 20 to May 10, 1997 on the physical as well as mental complaints of the elderly. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, x²-test. The subjects of this study were 111 elderly aged over 60 who are 79 elderly people from day care centers and 32 from the short-term care centers. Females comprise 78.4% of the subjects, the mean age of the sujects is 73.8 and 27.3% of the subjects is the elderly households. The findings from this study can be outlined as follows; Out of total subjects, 46.8% needed a certain degree of assistance in performing their daily activities. And the degree of assistance required for the age group of over 75 and the those who live with their children and those with eyesight or hearing impairment was significantly higher than that of the rest of the elderly. As for the health status analyzed through the complaints ftom the physical and mental problems, the complaint rate ranged from 0 to 16 and in average was 7.67, which indicated that the health status of the elderly was generally sound. Regarding the complaint rate by the type of the centers, the short care center was 8.59 while that of day care center was 6.76, which showed that the health status of short care centers was relatively low. The compaint of musculoskeletal system accounted for the largest proportion. The complaint of eyesight impairment accounted for the highest rate(56.8%) and the next was difficulty in walking(50.5%). The complaints such as the loss of interest, hypertension, dementia rate 43.2%, 41.4%, and 34.2% respectively. Based on the results of the study, the health education and promotion should be strengthened to improve the health status of the elderly. The comprehensive welfare services for the elderly should be developed and the professional workers forstered.

        어린이집의 질과 유아학습, 학부모 이용만족 및 추천의도 간의 구조관계

        본 연구는 어린이집의 질과 유아학습, 학부모 이용만족 및 추천의도 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 어린 이집의 질과 학부모 추천의도 간의 관계에서 유아학습과 학부모 이용만족이 매개하는지를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 P시에 거주하는 어린이집 학부모 380명과 어린이집 교사 20명을 대상으로 어린이집의 질과 유아학습, 학부모 이용만족 및 추천의도 척도를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집 된 자료를 구조 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 어린이집의 질과 유아학습, 학부모 이용만족 및 추천의 도 간의 구조관계는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 보면, 어린이집의 질, 유아학습, 학부모 이용만족 모두 추천의도에 직접 영향을 주며, 그 가운데 유아학습이 가장 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 어린이집의 질과 학부모 추천의도의 관계에서 유아학습과 학부모 이용만족이 매개 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 어린이집의 질은 학부모 추천의도에 직접적 영향을 주지만, 유아 학습과 학부모 이용만족을 통해서 간접적 영향을 주었다. 이러한 결과는 학부모 추천의도 향상을 위해서는 어린이집의 질뿐만 아니라 유아학습과 학부모 이용만족을 증가시키도록 하는 것이 필요함을 의미한다. 따라서 학부모 추천의도를 높이기 위해, 유아학습과 학부모 이용만족을 높일 수 있는 교육적 활동과 노력을 실천하는 어린이집의 질의 관리가 요구된다. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among day care center quality, preschoolers`` learning, parents`` satisfaction and parents`` recommendation of the day care center, and to verify that preschoolers`` learning and parents`` satisfaction mediate the relationship between day care center quality and parents`` recommendation. For the study, data were collected from 380 parents and 20 day care center teachers in P city using the checklists for day care center quality, preschoolers`` learning, parents`` satisfaction and parents`` recommendation. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 20 and AMOS 20. The results showed that there was a significant structural relationship among the day care center quality, preschoolers`` learning, parents`` satisfaction and parents`` recommendation. The analysis revealed that among the three variables. preschoolers`` learning affected parents`` recommendation the most. Also, the results showed that in the relations between the day care center quality and parents`` recommendation, preschoolers`` learning and parents`` satisfaction acted as significant mediators. Therefore, it seemed that the day care center quality not only directly affected parents`` recommendation but it also exerted indirect influence mediated by preschoolers`` learning and parents`` satisfaction. These results indicate the importance of efforts such as managing day care center quality to facilitate young children``s learning and development to increase parents`` recommendation and the viability of a day car center.

        주간보호센터 이용노인의 차문화치료프로그램 경험에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 주간보호센터 이용노인이 기관에서 제공하는 차문화치료프로그램 참여 경험이 무엇인지 탐색하여 이를 근거로 노인에게 차문화치료프로그램을 적용해 봄으로써 노인복지실천현장에서 활용될 수 있는 계기를 마련하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 연구참여자는 차문화치료프로그램에 참여한 노인 중 적극적으로 참여한 3명을 의도적 표본추출 방법을 활용하여 선정하였고 프로그램은 10회기로 진행하였다. 자료 분석 결과는 3개의 주제와 9개의 하위범주로 도출하였으며 연구 결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같이 제언하고자 한다. 첫째, 주간보호센터 서비스프로그램의 세분과 개별화가 필요하다. 둘째, 주간보호센터 이용노인의 등급에 따라 서비스프로그램의 다양성이 요구된다. 셋째, 주간보호센터에 다양한 서비스프로그램이 개발되어야 한다. 넷째, 차문화치료프로그램이 노인 삶의 의미를 반추할 수 있도록 각 주간보호센터에서 활용되어야 할 것이다. The purpose of this study was to investigate how experience of a tea culture therapy program provided by the day care center was like to elders who were currently using that center, ultimately setting up grounds based on which such program is feasible in the field of senior welfare service practice. Participants of the study were 3 elders. They were selected through purposive sampling and highly willing to take part in the abovementioned therapy program. This study applied 10 sessions of that program to the participants. As a result of data analysis, the study drew out 3 main categories and 9 sub-categories. Based on its findings, then, this research made some following suggestions. First, it's needed to differentiate and individually customize service programs provided by the day care center. Second, it's desirable to diversify the foresaid service programs depending on the classification of senior clients of the day care center. Third, the day care establishment for elders should develop more variety of service programs. And fourth, the day care center should use the tea culture therapy program in a way that encourages elders to positively reconsider the meaning of life.

        보육시설의 질에 대한 부모의 만족도

        본 연구는 K시의 보육시설의 질에 대한 부모들의 만족도를 조사하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전반적인 보육 프로그램에 대한 만족도는 보통 수준이었으며. 둘째, 영역별 보육 프로그램에 대한 만족도에서 부모들은 교사의 전문성에 대해 가장 만족하였으며, 그 다음으로 보육과정 운영, 보육환경에 대한 순으로 만족하였으며, 부모-교사간 의사소통에 대해 가장 덜 만족하였다. 교사의 전문성에 대한 부모의 만족도는 매우 높았으나, 다른 영역은 보통 수준으로 만족하였다. 또한 시설의 유형별로 보았을 때, 부모들은 공법인 보육시설에 대해 가장 만족하였으며, 가정 보육시설에 대해서는 가장 덜 만족하였다. 셋째, 보육시설에 대한 자녀의 만족도에 대해 부모들은 자녀들이 매우 만족하는 것으로 인식하였다. 이러한 결과는 K시의 보육시설 관계자들이 특히 부모-교사간 의사소통의 질을 제고하고, 가정 보육시설의 질 관리에 더욱더 노력해야 함을 시사한다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the satisfaction of parents with the quality of day care programs at K-City. The results are as follows. First, parents satisfy generally with the quality of the whole programs at K-City. Secondly, in the individual field of the programs, parents satisfy extremely the professionalism of teachers, and satisfy the least with the communication between the parents and the teachers. Concerning facilities, the parents satisfy the most with public day care centers and the least with home-based day care centers. Finally, the parents recognize that their children satisfy highly with all kinds of day care centers at K-City. These results implicate that chiefs and teachers of the centers at K-City need to make an effort to enhance their quality of parent-teacher communication, and K-City also should encourage to promote the quality of home-based day care center programs.

        노인 주간보호시설의 작업치료 현황조사

        Purpose : This study highlights the importance of occupational therapy at adult day care centers by examining the current state of this therapy at these centers. Methods : Data on 1,527 adult day care centers in South Korea were retrieved from a long-term care insurance site for the elderly and were statistically processed. Results : Of these centers, 1,331 (87.2 %) were cognitive activity-oriented, 37 (2.4 %) were exclusively for dementia treatment, and 159 were nonspecialized centers (10.4 %). A second finding was that 294 (19.3 %) of the centers operated occupational therapy programs. Third, only 40 occupational therapists (2.6 %) were working at one of these 1,527 care centers nationwide. Fourth, the occupational therapy programs comprised 4.91 ± 3.93 cognitive enhancement programs per center, 2.58 ± 2.26 training assistance programs per center, and other programs 2.56 ± 2.58 per center. Fifth, a regional comparison of the operation of occupational therapy programs at these centers showed a statistically significant difference in the number of programs between Seoul and other regions. Conclusion : Although most adult day care centers currently deliver cognitive enhancement programs, they show a low employment rate of occupational therapists. Therefore, additional research involving workers at adult day care centers is required to investigate perceptions and the necessity of occupational therapy.
