      • 수입소동맥 저항과 수출소동맥 저항의 상호 작용에 대한 연구

        It has generally been accepted that efferent arteriolar constriction increase GFR. However, it has also been shown in mathematical studies that increases in efferent arteriolar resistance beyond some extent causes GFR to decrease. The aim of the present study is to investigate the occurrence of physiological and/or pathophysiological conditions in which GFR is decreased by efferent constriction. The renal hemodynamic data obtained by several investigators were analyzed with a mathematical model of single nephron GFR (SNGFR). The glomerular model is based on a simulation of flow along a glomerular capillary with negligible resistance and uniform ultrafiltration coefficient (K_(f), 0.09 nl · sec^(-1) · mmHg^(-1)). The data analyzed are from rats which have been shown to achieve filtration pressure equilibrium(FPE) during filtration along the glomerular capillary. The hemodynamic states of rat kidney is characterized by a high K_(f), low RBF, and high vascular resistance. In these animals, inhibition of the renin-angiotensin system was associated with increases in GFR. This was mainly contributed to the increase in K_(f). Analysis with the present model has shown that lowered efferent arteriolar resistance during angiotensin inhibition augmented GFR response to K_(f). The analysis of the data obtained by manipulating efferent resistance during aortic constriction demonstrated the importance of pregiomerular resistance(R_(PRE)) related to efferent resistance (R_(E)). in this hemodynamic condition. The FPE which determines the sensitivity of SNGFR to SNBF and K_(f) is attained nearer the afferent end as R_(PRE) increases further: On the other hand, R_(PRE) had no effect on FPE. In conclusion, certain physiological manipulation affects R_(PRE) and K_(f) in such fashion that a decrease in R_(E) may have a beneficial effect on GFR and vice versa. This analysis indicates that it is not limited to theoretical importance; it demonstrated that in rat kidneys which have low flow and high afferent resistance the efferent arteriolar dilation can be associated with the promotion of GFR.

        말초부위의 후뇌동맥류의 외과적 치료

        Advances in microneurosurgical treatment of arterial aneurysm have led to increased interest being focused on aneurysm situated within the posterior cerebral fossa. Despite this, reports of neurosurgical intervention in such cases are still rare and there is no report about the distal posterior cerebral artery aneurysm in Korea. An aneurysm of the posterior cerebral artery has been referred to as a "distinct rarity", making up about 0.26 to 2.7% of all cerebral aneurysms. Especially, the incidence of the distal posterior cerebral artery aneurysm is quite rare and most of them are saccular in shape and single in number. The authors report a case of P4 segment aneurysm of left posterior cerebral artery, successfully treated by clipping cross neck and reviewed the literature, and discussed their anatomy, clinical feature, location, and variable operative methods.

      • 하수 슬러지 건조 공정의 경제성 평가에 관한 연구

        To solve the water pollution prevention problems, sewage and wastewater disposal system as the basic facilities are required strongly. However, the production of sewage sludge, a by-product of sewage and wastewater disposal system, is tending to increase. Therefore, efficient disposal method of sewage and wastewater is needed. At present, there are many problems in current disposal methods such as open dumping, ocean disposal, and incineration. These cause secondary environmental problems. Recycling sewage sludge is an alternative method to solve these problems thoroughly and prevent environmental disruption and maximize economic usefulness. This study presents LCA(Life Cycle Assesment) application to analyze the environmental loads and economy of sewage sludge drying process. The obtained results are applied to prepare fundamental understanding and judgement in view of environmental and economical consideration on drying process of sewage sludge by local authorities. The results are as follows; The economic assessment showed that the expense of drying process of sewage sludge was 45,603 won per ton. Among the expense items, the fuel cost is around 35%(15,961 won per ton) and it is the main cause. It is regarded that reducing the fuel can obtain the reduction of the cost and carbon dioxide, major environmental pollution discharge.

      • Nitric oxide형성 억제시 신교감신경이 신혈류량 변화에 미치는 영향

        Recently it became known renal medullars will be playing a important role of blood pressure control and pressure natriuresis. Renomedullary antihypertensive mechanism is activated by increasing perfusion pressure of kidney and can be inhibited by sympathetic nerve stimulation or blockade of nitric oxide(NO) formation. It is important to know what is the effect on renal regional blood flow, especially renal medullary blood flow(MBF). To investigate of the effect of the renal sympathetic nerve on regional blood flow during infusion of blocking NO synthesis(by N^(W)-nitro-L-arginine methylester:L-NAME) in spontaneous hypertensive rat(SHR)'s and Wistar rats' normal control, mean arterial pressure(MAP), total renal blood flow(TRBF), midcortical blood flow(CBF), inner medullary blood flow were measured in innervated or denervated renal sympathetic nerve group of SHR and Wister rats. All group that received the L-NAME increased in MAP, while TRBF, CBF and MBF decreased and the decreased of TRBF in SHR is more significant than in Wistar rat. In spite of increasing the MAP, MBF in all four group decreased, respectively C: 220 ± 3U, 205 ± 2 U Wi : 215± 4U, 165 ± 12 U Wd : 218 ± 3 U, 170 ± 10 U Si : 195 ± 4 U, 98 ± 15 U Sd : 200 ± 3 U, 120 ± 14 U, especially the most remarkable decrease about 50% in SHR innervated group. Thus, according to these results, No seems the maintain the MBF and the partial interaction between renal sympathetic nerve and No in medullary blood flow can be suggested in innervated SHR.

      • 한약에 의해 유발된 급성 간질성 신염 2례

        간질성 신염은 신장의 간질을 선택적으로 침범하는 염증성 질환으로 여러가지 원인에 의해 유발되며, 이 중 약물에 의한 경우는 각종 항생제, 비스테로이드성 진통제, 항경련제, 이뇨제, 면역억제제등에 의한 증례들이 보고되고 있다. 현재 각종 질환-특히 만성질환-의 치료에서 한약이 차지하는 비중이 적지 않으나, 그 각각의 성분들이 유발할 수 있는 부작용들에 대한 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 저자들은 관절염 치료를 위해 중국산 한약을 복용한 후 복통, 피로감 및 육안적 혈뇨를 주소로 내원한 두 환자에서, 단백뇨와 신기능 장애를 보여 시행한 신조직 생검상 급성 간질성 신염에 합당한 병리학적 소견을 보이고, 한약 복용 중지 후 급속한 회복을 보여, 한약에 의해 유발된 것으로 사료되는 급성 간질성 신염 2예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Acute interstitial nephritis is a disease characterized by renal interstitial inflammatory cell infiltration and acute renal functional deterioration. This is caused mainly by antibiotics, NSAID and diuretics such as thiazide, but cases induced by herb medication are rare. We experienced two cases of acute interstitial nephritis after treatment with herb medication. One 71-year-old female patient and the other 60-year-old female were admitted to the hospital because of general weakness and gross hematuria. Microscopic hematuria, pyuria, and proteinuria were presented. After definitive diagnosis with a renal biopsy, we noted rapid recovery of renal function by drug withdrawal and steroid therapy. We report these cases with a review of the referenced literatures. Key Words : Herb medication, Acute Interstitial nephritis.

        방전플라즈마 소결법에 의해 제조된 Mo 타겟의 스퍼터링 특성평가

        The microstuructural properties and electrical characteristics of sputtering films deposited with Mo targets prepared by commercial hot isostatic pressing (HIP) and spark plasma sintering (SPS) were compared and analyzed. The analysis results revealed that the Mo films obtained from the SPS Mo targets had a quite similar resistivity and microstructure as the commercial HIP ones. Further, characteristics of the Mo films according to the sputtering conditions were investigated by XRD, SIMS and TEM techniques. Such films are expected to be used as electrode materials for display/solar cell devices. (Received October 29, 2012)

        A New Six-rowed Barley Cultivar, "Hwanggeumchal" with Waxy Cover and Yellow Aleurone

        “Hwanggeumchal”, a new covered waxy cultivar derived from the cross between “Chalssalbori” and “Milyang 65” with waxy endosperm and early maturing cultivars, respectively was developed at Honam Agricultural Research Institute (HARI), NICS, RDA, 2006. The origin of “Hwanggeumchal” is “Suwon 403” (SB942090-B-B-B-42-1). The initial cross was made in 1994 and the selected line showed a high yield and good quality characteristics under yield trial test in 2003. “Suwon 403” consistently performed well for three years (2004-2006) from the four locations of regional yield trial (RYT) in Korea and released as “Hwanggeumchal”. The characteristics of “Hwanggeumchal” were the following: rate I growth habit, green leaf and stem, compact spike and with long rough awns. The heading date was April 30 in upland and April 28 in paddy field, which was 1 and 4 days later than that with check cultivar, “Seodunchalbori”. The culm length was 81 cm which was 3 cm shorter than those with check cultivar. It showed spike length of 4.5 cm and 633 spikes per m2, 64 grains per spike, 27.6 g of 1,000-grain weight and 632 g of test weight. It showed stronger winter hardiness and higher resistance to barley yellow mosaic virus (BaYMV) than those with check cultivar. It had yellow aleurone and showed higher water absorption, expansion rate and total phenol content than those of check cultivar, but lower protein, β-glucan content and pearling rate. The average yield of the pearled grain in the RYT was 4.04 ton ha-1 in upland and 4.12 ton ha-1 in paddy field, which was 10% higher and 4% lower than that of the check cultivar, respectively. This cultivar would be suitable for the area above the daily minimum mean temperature of -8℃ in January in Korean peninsula.
