Filtered Vacuum Arc법으로 WC-Co계 합금 표면에 형성된 DLC 박막의 구조적 특성 연구

In this study, DLC films were deposited on the cobalt cemented tungsten carbide(WC-Co) substrate adopting the filtered vacuum arc(FVA) technique at different substrate bias voltages and various cobalt content. As a result of Raman analysis, the spectra from all samples in this study have similar shape, with a broad skewed peak centered at approximately 1,550[cm<SUP>-1</SUP>], which is the characteristic of the diamond-like structure. Each spectrum was decomposed into two Gaussian line curves, one at the lower wave numbers between 1,322[cm<SUP>-1</SUP>] and 1,329[cm<SUP>-1</SUP>](D peak) and the other at the higher wave numbers between 1,565[cm<SUP>-1</SUP>] and 1,570[cm<SUP>-1</SUP>](G peak). However, we could not find any change of Raman-shift. According to XPS, as the cobalt content increased, sp3 ratio was decreased. This effect can be inferred that the cobalt binder suppress diamond nucleation and subsequent growth of diamond.

We deposited TiAgN and ZrAgN nanocomposite coatings on pure Titanium specimens, by using arc ion plating (AIP) with single alloy targets. TiAg ZrAg alloy targets of 5 wt.%, 10 wt.% silver content by vacuum arc remelting (VAR), followed by homogenization for 2 hours at $1,100^{\circ}C$ in non-active Ar gas atmosphere and characterized these samples for morphology and chemical composition. We investigated the biocompatibility of TiAg and ZrAg alloys by examining the proliferation of L929 fibroblast cells by MTT test assay, after culturing the cells ($4{\times}10^4cells/cm^2$) for 24 hours; and exploring the antibacterial properties of thin films by culturing Streptococus Mutans (KCTC3065), using paper disk techniques. Our results showed no cytotoxic effects in any of the specimens, but the antibacterial effects against Streptococus Mutans appeared only in the 10 wt.% silver content specimens.
Preparation of Nanosized TiO2 Powder from Spent Titanium Chip by Sol-Gel Method.

<P>The TiO2 powder was prepared from the spent titanium chips by applying the sol-gel method with neutralization by NaOH solution. The prepared TiO2 powder was characterized using a particle size analysis, BET surface area, and XRD analysis. The crystal structure of the TiO2 powder was rutile type, and the powder was obtained to be nanosized. BET surface area of TiO2 powder was 118 m2/g, average particle size was 266.5 nm. The photocatalytic property of the TiO2 powder was evaluated as decomposition rate of methylene blue (MB) by using a liquid phase stirred reactor. Decomposition rate on TiO2 powder (P-25) was 1.5 times higher than that of the prepared TiO2 powder. Decomposition rate on the prepared TiO2 powder was linearly increased with increasing the amount of TiO2 powder, and approached to a specific value. MB concentration and decomposition rate was not correlated within the experimental range. The maximum value of decomposition rate at about pH 8 was 62%.</P>

This experiment was carried out to study on the safety assessment of Bas tures . Ursus thibetanus extract solution(BU) for Herbal acupuncture. SD rats and ICR mice were used for acute toxicity test the results were summerized as follows; 1. In rats and mice, LD50 value could not be measured. 2. There were no abnormal finding in acute toxicity test treated BU for Herbal-acupuncture.

The implanting of metal products is performed with numerous surface treatments because of toxicity and adhesion. Recently, the surface modification of metal products has been actively studied by coating the surface of the TiC or TiN film. We prepared a Ti(10%)Ag Target which may be used in dental oral material by, using the AIP(arc ion plating) system TiAgN coating layer that was deposited on Ti g.23. The purpose of this study was to establish the optimal bias voltage conditions of the coated TiAgN layer formed by the AIP process. The TiAgN coatings were prepared with different bias voltage parameters (0V to -500V) to investigate the effect of bias voltage on their mechanical and chemical properties. The SEM(scanning electron microscope), EDS(energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer), XRD(X-ray diffraction), micro-hardness, and potentiodynamic polarization were measured and the surface characteristics of the TiAgN coating layers were evaluated. The TiAgN coating layer had different mechanical characteristics based on the bias voltage, which also showed differences in thickness and composition.
Factors to Assess for Re-breeding after Parturition in Milking Cows

The purpose of this study was to assess for re-breeding concentrate period in postpartum in milking cows. The 48 cows aged 3.5~5.5 years and of 400~600 kg body weight were examined every 3rd day from 15 to 36 day postpartum. Blood samples for progesterone and estradiol 17 β hormone analyses were withdrawn from the coccygeal vein every third day until the end of the experiment. The ovarian follicular numbers were verified and measured using a multi frequency probe. The least squares means are presented for each day by GLM of SAS. The results showed that ovary lengths (right ovary; 1.64±0.62 cm, left ovary; 1.44±0.46 cm) were similar in right and left ovary activity level during estrous cycle of postpartum cows. We were judged completed uterus on day at 2.31±0.17 cm level of cervix diameter. And we were monitoring started at 6.44±2.03 cm from day 15 after postpartum. The results showed that mean plasma concentration of progesterone (3.28 ng/ml) in large follicle gradually increased days 30 in postpartum. And, monitoring of estradiol 17β (22.18 pg/ml) hormone during postpartum period would be useful to predict the ovarian and uterus activity for re-breeding in postpartum milking cows. From these results, we conclude that cervix diameter (mean: 2.31 cm) was very important for reproductive organ recovery standard level of postpartum milking cows, hormone secretion level (P4: 3.28 ng/ml, E2: 22.18 pg/ml) and body condition score (2.5~2.75) level about 30 days in postpartum period.
