Research on Braking Process of High-speed Train with Aerodynamic Brake

        Yonghua Zhu,Weilie Shang,Xia Zhang,Hongjie Yan,Pin Wu 보안공학연구지원센터 2014 International Journal of Control and Automation Vol.7 No.12

The speed is higher, the kinetic energy is greater. In order to ensure the safety of a new generation train running in a high speed, it is necessary to research on its braking performance. In this paper, the braking force, running resistance, braking time, braking distance and the deceleration generated by the train with two kinds of braking wings were analyzed while the high-speed train was doing deceleration movement. And the results were compared and analyzed between the train with and without braking wing, and between the two kinds of braking wings. The results showed that the high speed train with braking wings made much contribution to the acceleration in the braking process, especially the train is in high speed.

      • Predicting standard-dose PET image from low-dose PET and multimodal MR images using mapping-based sparse representation

        Wang, Yan,Zhang, Pei,An, Le,Ma, Guangkai,Kang, Jiayin,Shi, Feng,Wu, Xi,Zhou, Jiliu,Lalush, David S,Lin, Weili,Shen, Dinggang IOP 2016 Physics in medicine & biology Vol.61 No.2

<P>Positron emission tomography (PET) has been widely used in clinical diagnosis for diseases and disorders. To obtain high-quality PET images requires a standard-dose radionuclide (tracer) injection into the human body, which inevitably increases risk of radiation exposure. One possible solution to this problem is to predict the standard-dose PET image from its low-dose counterpart and its corresponding multimodal magnetic resonance (MR) images. Inspired by the success of patch-based sparse representation (SR) in super-resolution image reconstruction, we propose a mapping-based SR (<I>m</I>-SR) framework for standard-dose PET image prediction. Compared with the conventional patch-based SR, our method uses a mapping strategy to ensure that the sparse coefficients, estimated from the multimodal MR images and low-dose PET image, can be applied directly to the prediction of standard-dose PET image. As the mapping between multimodal MR images (or low-dose PET image) and standard-dose PET images can be particularly complex, one step of mapping is often insufficient. To this end, an incremental refinement framework is therefore proposed. Specifically, the <I>predicted</I> standard-dose PET image is further mapped to the <I>target</I> standard-dose PET image, and then the SR is performed again to predict a new standard-dose PET image. This procedure can be repeated for prediction refinement of the iterations. Also, a patch selection based dictionary construction method is further used to speed up the prediction process. The proposed method is validated on a human brain dataset. The experimental results show that our method can outperform benchmark methods in both qualitative and quantitative measures.</P>

Joint toxicity of methoxyfenozide and lufenuron on larvae of Spodoptera exigua Hübner (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)

        Jixiang Chen,Weili Jiang,Hongyan Hu,Xiaoyan Ma,Qian Li,Xianpeng Song,Xiangliang Ren,Yan Ma 한국응용곤충학회 2019 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.22 No.3

The joint action and sublethal effects of methoxyfenozide and lufenuron were measured against Spodoptera exigua. Methoxyfenozide and lufenuron exhibited optimum synergistic toxicity on S. exigua at a mass ratio of 4:6, and the co-toxicity coefficient (CTC) was 165.705. Third instars larvae of S. exigua were treated with methoxyfenozide (LC 15 = 21.004 ng/cm 2 ), lufenuron (LC 15 = 27.134 ng/cm 2 ), or a mixture of methoxyfenozide and lufenuron (MML, LC 15 = 16.503 ng/cm 2 ) through feeding for 72 h. Ingestion of MML by larvae significantly inhibited larval and pupal weights and pupation rate, and prolonged the larval and pupal development of S. exigua compared to individual treatment ofmethoxyfenozide or lufenuron. Both methoxyfenozide and MML treatments significantly decreased the fertility of female S. exigua. No significant changes were observed in case of adult emergence and egg hatching for different treatments. The MML-treated S. exigua exhibited significantly lower activities of polyphenol oxidase (PPO) and cytochrome P450 (CYP450) than those in S. exigua treated separately with methoxyfenozide or lufenuron. Finally, methoxyfenozide, lufenuron, and MML treatments decreased chitinase, acetylcholinesterase (AChE), carboxylesterase (CarE), and glutathione-s-transferase (GST) activities in S. exigua.

Effect of myoglobin, hemin, and ferric iron on quality of chicken breast meat

Zhang, Muhan,Yan, Weili,Wang, Daoying,Xu, Weimin Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2021 Animal Bioscience Vol.34 No.8

Objective: The objective was to evaluate the impact of different forms of iron including myoglobin, hemin, and ferric chloride on the quality of chicken breast meat. Methods: Chicken breast muscles were subjected to 1, 2, 3 mg/mL of FeCl3, myoglobin and hemin treatment respectively, and the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and malondialdehyde, meat color, tenderness, water holding capacity and morphology of meat was evaluated. Results: Hemin was found to produce more ROS and induce greater extent of lipid oxidation than myoglobin and ferric chloride. However, it showed that hemin could significantly increase the redness and decrease the lightness of the muscle. Hemin was also shown to be prominent in improving water holding capacity of meat, maintaining a relatively higher level of the immobilized water from low-field nuclear magnetic resonance measurements. Morphology observation by hematoxylin-eosin staining further confirmed the results that hemin preserved the integrity of the muscle. Conclusion: The results indicated that hemin may have economic benefit for the industry based on its advantage in improving water holding capacity and quality of meat.

With the development of deep learning, it has achieved impressive results in feature extraction field. This paper drives research in feature extraction based on deep learning. First, this paper gives a brief introduction on the world's research status on deep learning and principle of Restricted Boltzmann machine (RBM). Then this paper conducts reducing experiment based on RBM for handwritten digits. According to the analysis based on the results of the experiments, this paper tries to get a proper dimension which handwritten digits reduced to achieve better performance. Finally, this paper finds that it reach the goal when handwritten digits is reduced to half dimensional raw digits. This is an important foundation of deep learning layering and offers help to researchers in feature extraction based on deep learning.

      • Multi-Level Canonical Correlation Analysis for Standard-Dose PET Image Estimation

        Le An,Pei Zhang,Adeli, Ehsan,Yan Wang,Guangkai Ma,Feng Shi,Lalush, David S.,Weili Lin,Dinggang Shen IEEE 2016 IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON IMAGE PROCESSING - Vol.25 No.7

<P>Positron emission tomography (PET) images are widely used in many clinical applications, such as tumor detection and brain disorder diagnosis. To obtain PET images of diagnostic quality, a sufficient amount of radioactive tracer has to be injected into a living body, which will inevitably increase the risk of radiation exposure. On the other hand, if the tracer dose is considerably reduced, the quality of the resulting images would be significantly degraded. It is of great interest to estimate a standard-dose PET (S-PET) image from a low-dose one in order to reduce the risk of radiation exposure and preserve image quality. This may be achieved through mapping both S-PET and low-dose PET data into a common space and then performing patch-based sparse representation. However, a one-size-fits-all common space built from all training patches is unlikely to be optimal for each target S-PET patch, which limits the estimation accuracy. In this paper, we propose a data-driven multi-level canonical correlation analysis scheme to solve this problem. In particular, a subset of training data that is most useful in estimating a target S-PET patch is identified in each level, and then used in the next level to update common space and improve estimation. In addition, we also use multi-modal magnetic resonance images to help improve the estimation with complementary information. Validations on phantom and real human brain data sets show that our method effectively estimates S-PET images and well preserves critical clinical quantification measures, such as standard uptake value.</P>

Expression and Imprinting Analysis of AK044800, a Transcript from the Dlk1-Dio3 Imprinted Gene Cluster during Mouse Embryogenesis

        Zhengbin Han,Qiong Wu,Qi Liu,Zhijun Huang,Wei Cui,Yijun Tian,Weili Yan 한국분자세포생물학회 2013 Molecules and cells Vol.35 No.4

Recent advances of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) has demonstrated that full development potential is closely related with the expression state of noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) of the Dlk1-Dio3 imprinted gene cluster. However, few of them, especially the long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), have been characterized in detail. AK044800 is a transcript from the Dlk1-Dio3 imprinted region with little known information. This study reports original data on the expression pattern of AK044800 during embryogenesis. Expression analysis showed that AK044800 was specifically expressed in the brain at mid-gestation, E9.5 and E11.5. And at E15.5, its expression was mainly concentrated in the forebrain. In the late-gestation stage (E18.5), AK044800 expression was weaker in the brain and began to emerge in some other tissues during this period. Notably, the expression of AK044800 was biallelic in the brain, unlike other noncoding transcripts from this imprinted region. In addition, its expression was dependent on inbred mouse strains. This may be the first lncRNA that has been identified with a different expression between inbred mouse strains. This study may provide useful clues for further investigations of expression regulation and func-tions of lncRNAs of the Dlk1-Dio3 imprinted region.

Nematicidal activity against Aphelenchoides besseyi and Ditylenchus destructor of three biflavonoids, isolated from roots of Stellera chamaejasme

        Hui Jin,Haiyan Cui,Xiaoyan Yang,Lihong Xu,Xudong Li,Rentao Liu,Zhiqiang Yan,Xiuzhuang Li,Weili Zheng,Yuhui Zhao,Xiaoxia Song,Lihua Zhong,Anxiang Su,Bo Qin 한국응용곤충학회 2018 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.21 No.4

Aphelenchoides besseyi and Ditylenchus destructor can cause serious problems for a number of important agricultural crops and vegetables. In this study, the ethanol extract of Stellera chamaejasme L. roots showed strong nematicidal activity against Aphelenchoides besseyi and Ditylenchus destructor. By using a bioactivity-driven fractionation, three biflavonoids were isolated from the extract and their structures were identified by mass and nuclear magnetic resonance spectral data. Nematicidal activity bioassays revealed that isoneochamaejasmin A had the strongest nematicidal activity against A. besseyi and D. destructor with LC 50 values of 2.32 and 0.18 mM at 72 h, respectively. Chamaejasmenin B displayed weaker nematicidal activity against A. besseyi with an LC 50 value of 3.94 mM at 72 h. Neochamaejasmin B induced the lowest mortality against D. destructor with an LC 50 values of 15.6 mM at 72 h. These results suggested that the kind and position of substitutions and the relative configuration of 2-H/3-H and 2”-H/3”-H could be considered as important factors responsible for the nematicidal activity of these purified C-3/C-3″ biflavonoids.
