-RESOLUTIONS AND GORENSTEIN CATEGORIES WITH RESPECT TO A SEMIDUALIZING BIMODULES
YANG, XIAOYAN Korean Mathematical Society 2016 대한수학회지 Vol.53 No.1
Let $\mathcal{W}$ be an additive full subcategory of the category R-Mod of left R-modules. We provide a method to construct a proper ${\mathcal{W}}^H_C$-resolution (resp. coproper ${\mathcal{W}}^T_C$-coresolution) of one term in a short exact sequence in R-Mod from those of the other two terms. By using these constructions, we introduce and study the stability of the Gorenstein categories ${\mathcal{G}}_C({\mathcal{W}}{\mathcal{W}}^T_C)$ and ${\mathcal{G}}_C({\mathcal{W}}^H_C{\mathcal{W}})$ with respect to a semidualizing bimodule C, and investigate the 2-out-of-3 property of these categories of a short exact sequence by using these constructions. Also we prove how they are related to the Gorenstein categories ${\mathcal{G}}((R{\ltimes}C){\otimes}_R{\mathcal{W}})_C$ and ${\mathcal{G}}(Hom_R(R{\ltimes}C,{\mathcal{W}}))_C$ over $R{\ltimes}C$.

Stipa purpurea is a unique and dominant herbaceous plant species in the alpine steppe and meadows on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP). In this work, we analyzed the composition and diversity of the culturable endophytic fungi in S. purpurea according to morphological and molecular identification. Then, we investigated the bioactivities of these fungi against plant pathogenic fungi and 1- aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate deaminase (ACCD) deaminase activities. A total of 323 fungal isolates were first isolated from S. purpurea, and 33 fungal taxa were identified by internal transcribed spacer primers and grouped into Ascomycota. The diversity of endophytic fungi in S. purpurea was significantly higher in roots as compared to leaves. In addition, more than 40% of the endophytic fungi carried the gene encoding for the ACCD gene. The antibiosis assay demonstrated that 29, 35, 28, 37 and 34 isolates (43.9, 53.1, 42.4, 56.1, and 51.5%) were antagonistic to five plant pathogenic fungi, respectively. Our study provided the first assessment of the diversity of culturedepending endophytic fungi of S. purpurea, demonstrated the potential application of ACCD activity and antifungal activities with potential benefits to the host plant, and contributed to high biomass production and adaptation of S. purpurea to an adverse environment.

Evaluation of multi-lane transverse reduction factor under random vehicle load
Xiaoyan Yang,Jinxin Gong,Bohan Xu,Jichao Zhu 사단법인 한국계산역학회 2017 Computers and Concrete, An International Journal Vol.19 No.6
This paper presents the two-, three-, and four-lane transverse reduction factor based on FEA method, probability theory, and the recently actual traffic flow data. A total of 72 composite girder bridges with various spans, number of lanes, loading mode, and bridge type are analyzed with time-varying static load FEA method by ANSYS, and the probability models of vehicle load effects at arbitrary-time point are developed. Based on these probability models, in accordance to the principle of the same exceeding probability, the multi-lane transverse reduction factor of these composite girder bridges and the relationship between the multi-lane transverse reduction factor and the span of bridge are determined. Finally, the multi-lane transverse reduction factor obtained is compared with those from AASHTO LRFD, BS5400, JTG D60 or Eurocode. The results show that the vehicle load effect at arbitrary-time point follows lognormal distribution. The two-, three-, and four-lane transverse reduction factors calculated by using FEA method and probability respectively range between 0.781 and 1.027, 0.616 and 0.795, 0.468 and 0.645. Furthermore, a correlation between the FEA and AASHTO LRFD, BS5400, JTG D60 or Eurocode transverse reduction factors is made for composite girder bridges. For the two-, three-, and four-lane bridge cases, the Eurocode code underestimated the FEA transverse reduction factors by 27%, 25% and 13%, respectively. This underestimation is more pronounced in short-span bridges. The AASHTO LRFD, BS5400 and JTG D60 codes overestimated the FEA transverse reduction factors. The FEA results highlight the importance of considering span length in determining the multi-lane transverse reduction factors when designing two-lane or more composite girder bridges. This paper will assist bridge engineers in quantifying the adjustment factors used in analyzing and designing multi-lane composite girder bridges.

Let $\mathcal{W}$ be an additive full subcategory of the category $R$-Mod of left $R$-modules. We provide a method to construct a proper $\mathcal{W}_C^H$-resolution (resp. coproper $\mathcal{W}_C^T$-coresolution) of one term in a short exact sequence in $R$-Mod from those of the other two terms. By using these constructions, we introduce and study the stability of the Gorenstein categories $\mathcal{G}_C(\mathcal{WW}_C^T)$ and $\mathcal{G}_C(\mathcal{W}_C^H\mathcal{W})$ with respect to a semidualizing bimodule $C$, and investigate the 2-out-of-3 property of these categories of a short exact sequence by using these constructions. Also we prove how they are related to the Gorenstein categories $\mathcal{G}((R\ltimes C)\otimes_R\mathcal{W})_C$ and $\mathcal{G}(\textrm{Hom}_R(R\ltimes C,\mathcal{W}))_C$ over $R\ltimes C$.

With the development of the theory of wavelet transform, biorthogonal wavelet filter banks with linear phase and compact support characteristics are widely used in signal and image processing. We study the multiscale edge detection using anti-symmetrical biorthogonal wavelet filter banks with the same even length based on the analysis of the properties of this wavelet filter banks. The steps of multiscale edge detection based on anti-symmetrical biorthogonal wavelet are introduced in detail. Experimental results on test images show that compared with the anti-symmetrical biorthogonal wavelet, the proposed anti-symmetrical biorthogonal wavelet filter banks with the same even length have better performance in terms of image edge detection. Therefore, the anti-symmetrical biorthogonal wavelet filter banks with the same even length are more suitable for image edge detection.
Urinary Biomarkers for the Noninvasive Detection of Gastric Cancer
Li, Dehong,Yan, Li,Lin, Fugui,Yuan, Xiumei,Yang, Xingwen,Yang, Xiaoyan,Wei, Lianhua,Yang, Yang,Lu, Yan The Korean Gastric Cancer Association 2022 Journal of gastric cancer Vol.22 No.-
Gastric cancer (GC) is associated with high morbidity and mortality rates. Thus, early diagnosis is important to improve disease prognosis. Endoscopic assessment represents the most reliable imaging method for GC diagnosis; however, it is semi-invasive and costly and heavily depends on the skills of the endoscopist, which limit its clinical applicability. Therefore, the search for new sensitive biomarkers for the early detection of GC using noninvasive sampling collection methods has attracted much attention among scientists. Urine is considered an ideal biofluid, as it is readily accessible, less complex, and relatively stable than plasma and serum. Over the years, substantial progress has been made in screening for potential urinary biomarkers for GC. This review explores the possible applications and limitations of urinary biomarkers in GC detection and diagnosis.

Color Image Coding Based on Shape-Adaptive All Phase Biorthogonal Transform

This paper proposes a color image coding algorithm based on shape-adaptive all phase biorthogonal transform (SA-APBT). This algorithm is implemented through four procedures: color space conversion, image segmentation, shape coding, and texture coding. Region-of-interest (ROI) and background area are obtained by image segmentation. Shape coding uses chain code. The texture coding of the ROI is prior to the background area. SA-APBT and uniform quantization are adopted in texture coding. Compared with the color image coding algorithm based on shape-adaptive discrete cosine transform (SA-DCT) at the same bit rates, experimental results on test color images reveal that the objective quality and subjective effects of the reconstructed images using the proposed algorithm are better, especially at low bit rates. Moreover, the complexity of the proposed algorithm is reduced because of uniform quantization.
