        Effect of Inhomogeneous Nucleation of Hydride at α/β Phase Boundary on Microstructure Evolution of Zr–2.5 wt%Nb Pressure Tube

        We analyzed the microstructural characteristics such as number density and length and width of hydrides in Zr–2.5 wt%Nbpressure tube. The hydrogen was charged cathodically and the hydride-contained sample was evaluated using the advancedanalysis methodologies. We performed a diff erential scanning calorimetry analysis to more quantitatively understand thethermodynamics of the hydride formation/growth process. We characterized the micrograph of hydride-contained Zr samplesto estimate the microstructural characteristics of the matrix and hydrides. We investigated eff ects of hydrogen concentrationand microstructure of matrix on determining microstructural measures of the hydrides. Particularly, we found that β phasein the matrix becomes isolated during the heat treatment same or above 475 °C and this change increases the inhomogeneousnucleation sites signifi cantly. We claim that the microstructure change of this matrix phase greatly increases the numberdensity of hydride.

      • 철근 콘크리트 H.P 셀의 해석

        본 연구는 철근 콘크리트 H.P. 쉘의 3차원 재료적 비선형 해석을 하기 위한 것이다. 콘크리트 요소는 3축 비선형 응력-변형률 거동, 균열, 파쇄 및 변형률 완화를 포함하는 3차원 16절점 고체 요소를 사용하고, 철근은 3절점 탄소성 트러스 요소를 사용한다. 거동 해석으로는 균열후 골재의 맞물림을 고려하는 유효 전단 계수를 도입하였으며, 수치 해를 얻기 위해 증분법을 사용하였다. 수치 예제로서 Lin의 철근 콘크리트 H.P. 쉘을 채택하여, 본 해석 결과와 비교하였다. This study presents the three-dimensional material nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrete H.P. shell. A concrete is idealized with three-dimensional 16-node solid element including triaxial nonlinear stress-strain behavior, cracking, crushing and strain softening; a steel with three-dimensional 3-node truss element including elastic-plastic behavior with strain hardening. The effective shear modules considering aggregate interlock after cracking and an incremental method is used to obtain a numerical solution. Numerical examples of Lin's reinforced concrete H.P. shell is selected to compare with the numerical results.

      • 고추 乾燥機 開發을 위한 고추의 適正 乾燥方法에 관한 基礎 硏究

        Drying method, the characteristics of dryer, which are currently used to dry a red pepper, were surveyed and analyzed to design and analyze an economical red dryer. Based on the results of this research the following conclusions were made: Drying by red pepper dryer was the most popular drying method(49.0%) surveyed from the farmhouse distribution according to drying method. After primary drying, secondary drying was widely performed. The larger area was cultivated the red pepper by farmer, the more dryer was used to dry it. Besides the smaller area was, the more warehouse drying was. From drying temperature according to the drying periods, the lower initial input temperature was, the lower initial temperature was. While the initial input temperature was passing to the final drying, initial temperature was inclined to be higher. The drying time and temperature were not constant. The number of mean drying day according to the drying methods were 13.8, 3.7∼5, and 1.7 for natural drying, house drying, warehouse drying, and dryer respectively. The dryer should spread far and wide in future, because red pepper drying was difficult in bad weather for drying red pepper. An economical red pepper dryer should be developed as soon as possible.

      • 高溫疲勞에서 싸이클依存型 및 時間依存型 疲勞크랙傳播의 遷移 : 싸인應力波 및 사디리꼴應力波에 대하여

        A study on the nonlinear fracture mechanics was made on the low-cycle fatigue crack growth in SUS304 stainless steel under trapezoidal and sine stress wave at 650℃. The high temperature low cycle fatique crack growth behavior was classified into two categories: cycle-dependent and time dependent. The cycle-dependent crack growth rate correlated well with J integral range ?J, whereas the time dependent crack growth rate was characterized by modified J integral Jex. A parameter βwas found useful in predicting the transition from the cycle-dependent crack growth to the time-dependent crack growth. Conducting the experiment of high temperature fatigue crack propagation in trapezoidal, and sine stress wave, following conclusions were obtained. 1. Crack propagation behavior can be classified into cycle-dependent and time-dependent. 2. The transition of cycle-dependent crack propagation to time dependent one could be predicted bt either parameter βor ?J/ ?J?.

        경피전기신경자극의 동통억제효과에 대한 실험적 연구

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of electrical anesthesia induced by transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation on inhibition of the pain response evoked by noxious electrical stimuli in teeth and gingiva. The experiment was carried out on anesthetized dogs. Left digastric muscle was exposed and wire electrodes were inserted into the muscles to record E.M.G.. Bipolar stimulating electrodes were inserted into the tooth of canine and the palatal area of gingiva. Noxious electrical stimuli were delivered to the tooth and the gingiva by electric stimulator(GrassTM, USA) under electronic anesthesia induced by transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation device with frequency of 50㎐. The E.M.G. of jaw opening reflex at digastric muscle was measured by the osciloscope and the audiometer connected to amplifier(A-M system, 1700, USA) at different intensity of electronic anesthesia of 1 volt, 4 volt, and 10 volt. The pain threshold and the inhibitory rate of pain via E.M.G. of digastric muscle were analysed statistically with paired t-test adn χ2-test. The obtained results were as follows ; 1. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation with intensity of 1 volt and 4 volt increased the pain threshold 9.4% and 18.6% in teeth and 14.3% and 32.1% in gingiva respectively, but that of 10 volt did not change or reduce the pain threshold. 2. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation with intensity of 1 volt, 4 volt, and 10 volt showed the inhibitory effect of pain of 10.5%, 15.0% and 4.6% in teeth, and 18.2%, 23.4%, and 19.3% in gingiva respectively when noxious electrical stimulation was inserted 1.5 times higher than the pain threshold. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation with intensity of 10 volt did not show inhibitory effect of the pain response as that of 1 volt and 4 volt. 3. The pain threshold in gingiva was increased higher by transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation than it was in teeth, and the inhibitory effect of the pain in gingiva was also increased higher than it was in teeth. In regard to above results, inhibitory effects of pain induced by transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation was not so high as to replace the role of drug anesthesia wholly. The technique of reducing pain induced by transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation itself, was needed to develop to have better anesthetic or analgesic effect and less discomfort during anesthetic procedure.

        연근의 열수 추출물이 흰쥐의 국소 뇌혈류량과 혈압에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to measure the changes of regional cerebral blood flow(rCBF) and blood pressure(BP) in rats, following the intravenous injection of Nelumbo nucifera water extract. The measurement was continually monitored by laser-doppler flowmeter and pressure transducer in anesthetized adult Sprague-Dawley rats for about 2 to 2 and half hours through the data acquisition system composed of MacLab and Macintosh computer, The results of this experiment were as follows. Nelumbo nucifera significantly increased the changes of rCBF in rats. The rCBF of Nelumbo nucifera was not changed by pretreated propranolol, atropine, L-NNA and indomethacin. But the rCBF of Nelumbo nucifera was decreased by pretreated methylene blue. Nelumbo nucifera decreased the BP significantly, The BP of Nelumbo nucifera was not changed by pretreated propranolol, atropine, L-NNA and indomethacin. But the BP of Nelumbo nucifera was decreased by pretreated methylene blue. These results indicated that Nelumbo nucifera might increase the rCBF and decrease the BP which related to guanylyl cyclase activity.

      • 경상남도 고성군 동해면 일대에 도래하는 조류의 분포

        본 조사는 경상남도 고성군 동해면 일대에 도래하는 조류들의 분포를 1994년 3월부터 1996년 2월까지 조사된 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 동해면 일대에서 관찰된 조류는 총 14목 31과 97종 47,486개체였다. 2. 우점종은 검은머리흰쭉지 Aythya marila(17.51%), 괭이갈매기 Larus crassirostris(16.94%), 붉은부리갈매기 Larus ridibundus(11.48%), 흰쭉지 Aythya ferina(14.65%), 청둥오리 Anas platyrhynchos(7.64%) 등의 순으로 나타났다. 3. 1차(1994년 3월∼1995년 2월) 조사와 2차(1995년 3월∼1996년 2월) 조사에 대한 각 월별 종과 개체 수의 변화를 비교해 보면 대체로 유사한 변화 추세를 보이지만 종수는 태풍의 영향을 받는 7∼9월에 큰 차이를 보였다. 4. A지역이 B·C지역보다 종수과 개체 밀도가 높았다. 5. A지역은 검은머리흰쭉지를 비롯한 흰쭉지류가 우점종이었고, B·C지역에서는 괭이갈매기와 붉은 부리갈매기 등의 갈매기류가 우점종이었다. 6. 조사 지역별 종다양도(H')와 동등한 보편종 수(eH')는 각 지역간에 유의한 차이가 없었으며, B와 C지역간의 종구성이 유사하였다. 7. 유사도 지수는 동해면 과 태안반도가 0.63, 낙동강 하구와 서낙동강이 0.62으로 종구성이 서로 유사하였다. The seasonal distribution of birds were investigated a total 24 times from March 1994 to February 1996 in Tonghae-myon, Kosong-gun in Kyongsang nam-do. The results of the survey are as follows: 1. A total of 47,486 birds, 97 species, 31 family, 10 order were recorded during censuses. 2. The dominant species were following the order of Aythya marila(17.51%), Larus crassirostris(16.94%), Aythya ferina(14.65%), Larus ridibundus(11.48%) and Anas platyrhynchos(7.64%). 3. Number of species and individuals density were 79 species, 33,375 birds in A area, 58 species, 5,454 birds in B area and 58 species, 8,657 birds in C area were abundant A before B and C. 4. The dominant species by areas were Aythya marila in A area, B and C areas were Larus crassirostris. 5. Status the distribution of birds were winter visitor 30 species(30.93%), summer visitor 25 species(25.77%), resident and passage migrant 21 species(21.65%) respectively. 6. The means of species diversity(H') and number of equally common species(eH') were 1.84, 6.83 in A area, 1.53, 5.28 in B area, 1.54, 5.76 in C area respectively most high in A area, but there were no difference statistically significant among areas. 7. Constitution of species were similar to between Tonghae-myon and T'aean-bando(0.63), and between Naktong-river and Sonaktonggang(0.62).

        항공레이저측량 자료를 이용한 시가지 건축밀도 평가에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 최근 도시계획, 수자원 및 방재 분야에서 높은 관심을 가지고 연구중인 항공레이저측량기법을 활용하여 시가지의 건축밀도를 평가하였다. 먼저, 레이저스캐너인 LiDAR(light detection and ranging)로 취득한 표고자료로부터 DEM(digital elevation model)과 DSM(digital surface model)을 구축하였으며, 건물의 높이를 계산하기 위해 DEM에는 ZONALMEAN 필터, DSM에는 ZONALMAJORITY 필터를 적용하였다. 필터링 과정으로부터 계산한 층수와 현지조사의 층수를 비교한 결과 표준오차 ±0.199층을 확보할 수 있었다. 또한 건물 연면적 레이어와 구획레이어를 중첩하여 통계분석함으로서 도시 구획별 용적률을 제시할 수 있었다. 항공레이저측량 자료를 이용하여 계산한 용적률과 현지조사로부터 계산한 용적률의 비교 결과, 용적률의 표준오차를 ±2.68%로 확보할 수 있었다. 따라서, 항공레이저측량 자료는 향후 토지이용계획을 수립하는 의사결정자에게 매우 유용한 자료를 제공해 줄 것으로 기대한다. This study evaluated the architectural density of urban district using airborne laser scanning(ALS) that is a method used in urban planning, water resources and disaster prevention with high interest recently. First, digital elevation model(DEM) and digital surface model(DSM) was constructed from Light detection and ranging(LiDAR). For getting the height of building, ZONALMEAN filter was used in DEM and ZONALMAJORITY filter was used in DSM. This study compared the floor from filtering with the floor from survey and got standard error, which is ±0.199 floor. Also, through the overlay and statistical analysis of total-area layer and zone layer, we could present floor area ratio by zone. As a result of comparison with floor area ratio between airborne laser scanning data and survey data, the standard error of flor area ratio shows ±2.68%. Therefore, we expect that airborne laser scanning data can be a very efficient source to decision makers who set up landuse plan in near future.

      • 신경병증성 통증 모델쥐 뒤뿌리신경절의 Nitric Oxide Synthase 아형 및 NADPH-diaphorase 발현에 관한 연구

        Injury to peripheral nerve somtimes lead to neuropathic pain. Nitric oxide(NO) is increased in the dorsal root ganglia (DRG) of neuropathic pain models, and L-NAME, a nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitor, reduces neuropathic pain. However, it is not known that underlying mechanism of NO involvement in development and maintanence of neuropathic pain. It was found that there were three NOS isoforms-nNOS, eNOS, and iNOS. It is also necessary to investigate NOS isoforms in neuropathic pain. The aim of this study is to investigate NOS isoforms and NADPH-diaphorase expressions and underlying mechanism of NO involvement in neuropathic pain. The 5^th lambar (L5) DRG were obtaind after tight ligation of L5 an L6 spinal nerves for 7 days. Toluidine blue stain, immunohistochemistry for nNOS, eNOS, and iNOS, and NADPH-diaphorase histochemistry were performed. All specimens were observed under light microscope. nNOS expression was increased significantly in the cytoplasm of the DRG of ligated side at 7 day post-ligation (7D PL). eNOS expression was also increased in the blood vessel, a few neurons or satellite cells, and cell membrane of Schwann cells in the DRG of ligated side at 7D PL. iNOS expression was increased in a few blood vessels and cytoplasm of small neurons in the DRG of ligated side at 7D PL. NADPH-diaphorase expression was increased significantly in the neurons of the DRG of ligate side at 7D PL, but NADPH-diaphorase expressions were weak or absent in the blood vessel and Schwann cell in the contralateral DRG and the DRG of ligated side at 7D PL. It is suggested that NOS isoforms may be closely related to development and mantanence of neuropathic pain in order of nNOS>eNOS>iNOS.
