        Motivated by the multifaceted requirements of Natural Language Processing (NLP) systems, we decided to design an integrated scheme by fusing two different basic approaches. The integrated scheme presented here is designed by incorporating the grammar-based system and knowledge-based system. This hybrid scheme provides a good balance between the grammar and the knowledge in lexicon.

        In this paper, we describe a way of automatic link generation. A big problem of automatic link generation is the selection of a destination node among manu candidates. The semantic information is indispensable to select the most proper destination node for the link which has more than one syntactically possible destination nodes. The partner concept table mechanism is used along with the conceptual graphs to resolve the problem. It is relatively simple to implement the automatic link generation system for a high quality hypertext.

      • 대학생집단의 뇌기능 특성화 경향에 대한 연구

        체육학과 학생 163명과 국가대표선수 211명을 포함한 체육 전공자들과 의과대학생 282명, 문과대학생 101명, 신학전공학생 96명 그리고 간호학과 전공학생 100명, 계 953명을 대상으로 남녀 대학생들의 대뇌반구의 특성화, 편재화 경향을 시나가와 ( 品川)질문지 법을 이용하여 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 체육과 남학생은 우뇌형 45.6%, 좌우뇌형 47.4%, 좌뇌형 7%로 나타났으며, 여학생의 경우 우뇌형 41.6%, 좌우뇌형 44.3%, 좌뇌형 14.2%로 나타났다. 2. 대표선수의 경우 우뇌형과 좌우뇌형에서 일반 체육학과 학생과 유사한 분포를 보였으나, 좌뇌형이 남자 12.9% 여자 12.6%로 남녀 고른 분포를 나타냈다. 3. 의과대학생의 경우 남학생은 우뇌형 63.5% 좌우뇌형 24.9% , 좌뇌형 11.6%인 반면, 여학생은 우뇌형 50%, 좌우뇌형 22.9%, 좌뇌형 27.1%로 나타났다.. 4. 문학은 전공하는 남녀학생과 신학을 전공하는 학생은 우뇌형, 좌우뇌형, 좌뇌형의 순으로 유사하게 나타났다. 5. 간호학전공 학생의 분포는 우뇌형42.0% 좌우뇌형 38.0% 좌뇌형 20%였다. Many Studies have demonstrated that the two hemispheres are functionally specialized in the majority of individuals, so that the left hemisphere regulates verbal-analytic cognitive abilities while the right hemisphere predominates in spatial-synthesis abilities. This research program have proceeded about the tendency of hemisphere specialization in sportsmen and variable subject classes in university. Sinagawa's questionnaire method was used as the instrument for this study . The results obtained were as follows: 1. In the physical education class(163subjects) 45.6%(male) and 41.6%(female) of the subjects were regarded as the left hemisphere dominant type, 47.4%(male) and 44.3%(female) of them were bilateral and 7%(male) and 14.2%(female) of them were regarded as left hemisphere dominant type. 2. In the representatives (mational players) group, very similar frequencies were shown except in the left hemisphere dominant type, whose percentile distributions appear as 12.9% in males and 12.6% in females. 3. Extremely higher frequency was shown in right hemisphere dominant type in the male students of medical science class : 63.5% of them were right, 24.9% were bilateral and 11.6% were left hemisphere dominant type. 4. The frequencies of the literature class also were shown very similar patterns with those of other female classes.

        Resistance training, also known as strength or weight training, has become one of the most popular forms of exercise both for enhancing an individual's physical fitness and for conditioning athletes. Individuals who participate in a resistance training program expect the program to produce certain benefits, such as increased strength, increased muscle size, improved sports performance, increased fat-free mass, and decreased body fat. A well-designed and consistently performed resistance training program can produce all these benefits. When prescribed appropriately, resistance training is effective for developing physical fitness, health, wellness and for the prevention and rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries. Because resistance training is an integral component in the comprehensive health promotion program. Although female's absolute strength is less than male's, the difference is greatly reduced if compared on a total body weight or lean body mass basis. This is especially true for the lower body where no strength difference on a lean body mass basis between the genders has been shown. Female's adaptations to a resistance training program are of the same magnitude or even slightly greater than male's for some variables. This means that, in general, resistance training programs for females do not need to be different than those for males, except that the absolute resistance used will be less. Menstrual irregularities may be more prevalent in females performing strenuous resistance activity, as compared to the normal population. However, menstrual irregularities normally cease once strenuous resistance training is stopped. Resistance training can result in many of the fitness characteristics desired by many females of a fit appearance and increased strength and power for daily and sports activities. We have explored the positive and negative aspects of females participation in resistance training programs. The benefits to females are reported to be increased strength, endurance, muscle capacity, and flexibility; more energy; and improved self-image and confidence. The negative aspects include some pain or stiffness and other nonspecific problems. The positive and negative aspects of resistance training are therefore very similar to those in males populations. Scientific investigations have demonstrated that resistance training can be safely and successfully implemented in females populations. Proper design and progression of a resistance training program for females is vital to optimal benefits from resistance exercise. The results of data provided by this research on resistance training for health shows that there is enough existing evidence to conclude that resistance training, particularly when incorporated into a comprehensive fitness program, can offer substantial health benefits which can be obtained by persons of all ages. These benefits, including improvements in functional capacity, translate into an improved quality of life.

        The prescription of resistance training is both a science and an art. Ultimately, individualized training programs provide for optimal changes in the exercise prescription process and result in the best overall training response for the individual. Although guidelines can be given, the art of designing effective resistance training programs requires logical exercise prescription followed by evaluation, testing, and interaction with the trainee. Resistance training prescription is a dynamic process that requires the strength and conditioning professional to respond to the trainee's changing adaptation levels and functional capacities with altered program designs to meet the changing training goals. Resistance training of children has gained acceptance and popularity primarily because strength gains can occur, bone development may be enhanced, and injuries might be prevented in other sports and activities with developmentally appropriate training programs in recently. When designing a program, consider the developmental and physical differences among children, exercise tolerance, and safety issues so that acute and chronic injuries are minimized and the benefits to the participating children are maximized. When prescribed appropriately, resistance training is effective for developing physical fitness, health, wellness and for the prevention and rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries.       • Shape Invariant Korean Character Recogmition Using Optical Associative Memory

        A holographic implementation of an optical associative memory system for shape invariant recognition of the printed Korean character is proposed. The structure of the recognition system is a single-layer neural network employing feedback. To form an optical memory loop, we use cascaded Vander Lugt correlators. The first holographic correlator is made of MACE filter having a high discrimination capability. And to reduce the size of the recognition system, we multiplex four MACE filters into one. Thus, 14 consonant MACE filters and 10 vowel MACE filters can be synthesized into four consonant MMACE filters and three vowel MMACE filters, respectively. The second holographic correlator. on the other hand, is made of a CMF having broadband characteristics so that the reconstructed image has high fidelity. Computer simulation results show that the proposed system has shape invariance and high discrimition capability.

      • 금귤 젤 및 금귤- 벌꿀절임의 製造와 그의 品質特性

        제주산 금귤을 소재로 한 금귤 젤리화 식품과 금귤-벌꿀절임을 제조하고, 이들의 물성, 기호성, 저장성 등에 관한 특성을 검토하였다. 젤라틴 2.5%와 물엿을 사용한 젤리화 금귤은 硬度가 195g-force이며, 탄성은 114%로서 後食用 製品으로 알맞은 것으로 평가되었다. 금귤-벌꿀절임은 20% 이내의 벌꿀을 함유한 제품이 官能評價에 좋은 結果를 얻었다. 加熱處理하여 밀봉한 製品은 32℃˚에서 20일간 貯藏하였을 경우에도 전혀 微生物 검출이 되지 않았으나, 加熱處理하지 않은 製品의 경우 製造工程 등에서 오는 汚染으로 인하여 벌꿀함유량에 관계없이 일부 微生物 增殖이 일어나 저장 및 유통중에 變質이 우려된다. In order to utilize Kumquats, a Fortunella variety produced in Cheju island, sensory evaluation and texture parameter of Kumquats processed foods were invesigated. Hardness and springiness of Kumquats jelly made with addition of 2.5% gelatin and maltose syrup was 195 g-force and 114% respectively, and the commodity was suitable for a dessert food in sensory evaluation. Kumquats slice contained below 20% honey was also evaluated as good for a tea of dessert food. Honey-Kumquats slice with heat treatment was safe for microbial growth during storge for 20 days at 32℃, but molds, bacteria and yeasts contaminated during processing were grown on Kumquats-honey commodities without heat treatment.
