Fabricating Composite Cell Sheets for Wound Healing: Cell Sheets Based on the Communication Between BMSCs and HFSCs Facilitate Full-Thickness Cutaneous Wound Healing

        Li Gongjian,Wang Qin,Liu Hao,Yang Zuojun,Wu Yuhan,He Li,Deng Xiaoyuan 한국조직공학과 재생의학회 2024 조직공학과 재생의학 Vol.21 No.3

Background: Insufficient angiogenesis and the lack of skin appendages are critical challenges in cutaneous wound healing. Stem cell-fabricated cell sheets have become a promising strategy, but cell sheets constructed by a single cell type are inadequate to provide a comprehensive proregenerative microenvironment for wound tissue. Methods: Based on the communication between cells, in this study, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) and hair follicle stem cells (HFSCs) were cocultured to fabricate a composite cell sheet (H/M–CS) for the treatment of full-thickness skin wounds in mice. Results: Experiments confirmed that there is cell–cell communication between BMSCs and HFSCs, which enhances the cell proliferation and migration abilities of both cell types. Cell–cell talk also upregulates the gene expression of pro-angiogenic-related cytokines in BMSCs and pro-hair follicle-related cytokines in HFSCs, as well as causing changes in the properties of secreted extracellular matrix components. Conclusions: Therefore, the composite cell sheet is more conducive for cutaneous wound healing and promoting the regeneration of blood vessels and hair follicles. • Eu3+→Eu2+ unusual reduction and bond energy in MAlSi2O6:Eu (M = Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs)

        Pan, Yu,Wang, Wenjun,Zhu, Yuhan,Xu, Haibing,Noh, Hyeon Mi,Jeong, Jung Hyun,Liu, Xiaoguang,Li, Ling Elsevier 2018 CERAMICS INTERNATIONAL Vol.44 No.7

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Eu-doped MAlSi2O6 (M = Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs) phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reaction in air. The crystal structure and optical properties of the phosphors were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction and photoluminescence. Their emission spectra are composed of some broad bands coming from the 5d-4f transition of Eu2+ and some sharp emission peaks coming from the f-f transitions of Eu3+. The co-existence of Eu3+ and Eu2+ cations is detected in MAlSi2O6:2%Eu, which shows that the unusual Eu3+→Eu2+ reduction process occurs in MAlSi2O6. The preferential occupancy of Eu3+ or Eu2+ in MAlSi2O6 can be calculated to be M+ sites by the bond-energy method. The deviation of the Eu3+–O2- bond energy is closed to that of the Eu2+–O2- bond energy, which means that Eu3+ and Eu2+ can coexist in air. The abnormal reduction of Eu3+ to Eu2+ can be explained by charge compensation model. The doped Eu3+ was induced to M+ and the vacancy (<I>V</I> <I>M</I> ) may be formed. The vacancy(<I>V</I> <I>M</I> ) acted as a donor of electrons, and the Eu M ∙ ∙ defect acted as an acceptor of electrons. The theoretical result is consistent with the experimental phenomenon.</P>

Correlation between Vitamin B12 and Mental Health in Children and Adolescents: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

        Yongjun Tan,Li Zhou,Kaiqi Gu,Caihong Xie,Yuhan Wang,Lijun Cha,Youlin Wu,Jiani Wang,Xiaosong Song,Xia Chen,Hua Hu,Qin Yang 대한정신약물학회 2023 CLINICAL PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY AND NEUROSCIENCE Vol.21 No.4

To conduct the association between vitamin B12 and mental health in children and adolescents. Five databases were searched for observational studies in any language reporting on mental health and vitamin B12 levels or intake in children and adolescents from inception to March 18, 2022. Two authors independently extracted data and assessed study quality. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of data were performed. The review was registered in the PROSPERO database (CRD42022345476). Fifty six studies containing 37,932 participants were identified in the review. Vitamin B12 levels were lower in participants with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) (standardized mean difference [SMD], −1.61; 95% confidence interval [95% CI], −2.44 to −0.79; p < 0.001), attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (SMD, −0.39; 95% CI, −0.78 to −0.00; p = 0.049) compared with control group. Vitamin B12 intake were lower in participants with ASDs (SMD, −0.86; 95% CI, −1.48 to −0.24; p = 0.006) compared with control group, but showed no difference between depression group (SMD, −0.06; 95% CI, −0.15 to 0.03; p = 0.17) and the control group. Higher vitamin B12 intake were associated with lower risk of depression (odds ratio [OR], 0.79; 95% CI, 0.63−0.98; p = 0.034) and behavioral problems (OR, 0.83; 95% CI, 0.69−0.99; p = 0.04). The vast majority of included studies supported potential positive influence of vitamin B12 on mental health, and vitamin B12 deficiency may be a reversible cause for some mental health disorders in children and adolescents.

Improved Genetic Algorithm based 3-D deployment of UAVs

        Xiting Wen,Yuhan Ruan,Yongzhao Li,Hongxing Xia,Rui Zhang,Chao Wang,Wei Liu,Xiaoyu Jiang 한국통신학회 2022 Journal of communications and networks Vol.24 No.2

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are widely usedas aerial base stations (BSs) to provide flexible connectivity andcoverage for ground users in various scenarios such as disasterrelief, traffic offloading, and so on. Especially, UAV deployment isan important issue that directly affects the coverage performanceof the UAV network. In this paper, we propose a novel heuristic algorithmbased three-dimensional (3-D) UAV deployment schemewhile guaranteeing the connectivity of the UAV network in bothstatic and dynamic user scenarios. For the static user scenario, weaim to deploy the minimum number of UAVs to provide coveragefor the users from the perspective of deployment cost. To reducethe deployment complexity, we decouple the 3-D UAV deploymentproblem from the vertical and horizontal dimensions. Specifically,we firstly determine the optimal vertical height of UAVs based onthe air-to-ground (A2G) model. Then, to alleviate the prematureconvergence of standard genetic algorithm (SGA), we designan improved genetic algorithm (IGA) to obtain the optimalhorizontal locations of UAVs. On this basis, when the users moveor increase, i.e., the dynamic user scenario, the already deployedUAVs cannot provide effective coverage. For this scenario, wepropose a UAV redeployment scheme to maximize the numberof covered users without increasing the number of UAVs. Tofurther reduce the cost of redeployment, we firstly modify theproposed IGA to obtain a feasible set of two-dimensional (2-D)redeployed locations of the UAVs. Then, we design a backtrackingalgorithm (BA) based UAV movement strategy to minimize thetotal flying distance of the UAVs. The simulation results showthat the effectiveness and convergence of our proposed schemes.

Protective effect of hepatocyte-enriched lncRNA-Mir122hg by promoting hepatocyte proliferation in acute liver injury

        Yu Zhenjun,Li Yuhan,Shao Shuai,Guo Beichen,Zhang Mengxia,Zheng Lina,Zhang Kun,Zhou Feng,Zhang Li,Chen Chiyi,Jiang Wentao,Hong Wei,Han Tao 생화학분자생물학회 2022 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.54 No.-

Some long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), which harbor microRNAs in their gene sequence and are also known as microRNA host gene derived lncRNAs (lnc-MIRHGs), play a dominant role alongside miRNAs, or both perform biological functions synergistically or independently. However, only a small number of lnc-MIRHGs have been identified. Here, multiple liver injury datasets were analyzed to screen and identify the target lncRNA Mir122hg. Mir122hg was mainly enriched in liver tissues with human-mouse homology. In both CCl4-induced acute liver injury and Dgal/LPS-induced fulminant liver failure in mice, Mir122hg was sharply downregulated at the early stage, while a subsequent significant increase was only found in the CCl4 group with liver recovery. Overexpression and silencing assays confirmed that Mir122hg played a protective role in acute injury by promoting hepatocyte proliferation in vivo and in vitro. Consistent with the results of gene enrichment analysis, Mir122hg binding to C/EBPα affected its transcriptional repression, promoted gene transcription of downstream chemokines, Cxcl2, Cxcl3, and Cxcl5, and exerted pro-proliferative effects on hepatocytes through activation of the AKT/GSK-3β/p27 signaling pathway by CXC/CXCR2 complexes. This study identifies a novel lncRNA with protective effects in acute liver injury and demonstrates that the binding of Mir122hg-C/EBPα promotes hepatocyte proliferation via upregulation of CXC chemokine and activation of AKT signaling.

Causal analysis of natural gas station pipelines vibration and reduction measures

        Wenwu Yang,Xin Li,Yuhan Tao,Kang Cen,Yunqiao Wen 대한기계학회 2022 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.36 No.9

The existing studies on the strong vibration problem of the outbound process pipeline of a natural gas transfer station focus on the pipeline process with a compressor. This work proposes a structural innovation to eliminate the pipeline vibration without compressor by experiment and numerical simulation. A simulation model was established based on the physical dimensions. Hammer test and finite element method validated the proposed model for natural gas stations pipelines. It was found that in branch 1 and 2 occur the first two coupled modes. In addition, three kinds of vibration reduction schemes, such as increasing sleeve and increasing pipe diameter, are proposed to increase the pipe rigidity and reduce the excitation force to control the vibration. It is revealed that adding sleeves to the branch pipes 1 and 2 can better suppress pipe vibration by referring to related evaluation standards. This case shows that performing variable-condition vibration testing and spectrum characteristics analysis of pipelines can easily reveal the main vibration sources and provide solutions for pipeline vibration reduction treatment.

Methanol selective oxidation to dimethoxymethane on H3PMo12O40/SBA-15 supported catalysts

        Heqin Guo,Debao Li,Haicheng Xiao,Jianli Zhang,Wenhuai Li,Yuhan Sun 한국화학공학회 2009 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.26 No.3

A series of SBA-15 supported H3PMo12O40 catalysts were prepared for the one-step oxidation of methanol to dimethoxymethane (DMM). The evaluation and characterization revealed that higher DMM selectivity obtained on the incipient wetness impregnation (IM) catalyst was related to the instability of H3PMo12O40 on it. Raman spectra showed that 12-molybdophosphoric acid was more stable on the direct synthesis (DS) catalyst than on the IM catalyst and the existence of SBA-15 support enhanced the stability of H3PMo12O40. Moreover, higher H3PMo12O40 loading resulted in more acid sites and low DMM selectivity, furthermore the thermal pretreatment on H3PMo12O40 influenced its structure and thus affected DMM selectivity.
