Three new alkaloids, 2a-hydroxy-6-O-n-butyloduline,O-n-butyllycorenine, (-)-N-(chloromethyl)lycoramine(1–3), and a new phenolic compound, ((7S)-7-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-7-hydroxypropyl)-20-methylbenzene-30,60-diol (14), along with ten known alkaloids (4–13), wereisolated from the bulbs of Lycoris aurea collected fromHuaihua County of Hunan Province, China. Their structureswere elucidated by spectroscopic methods includingHRESIMS, UV, IR, and NMR. All the isolated compoundswere tested for their neuroprotective effects against CoCl2and H2O2-induced SH-SY5Y cell death. Compounds 1–7and 10 exhibited significant neuroprotective effects againstCoCl2-induced SH-SY5Y cell injury, while compounds1–5, 7, 10 and 12 showed obvious neuroprotective effectsagainst H2O2-induced SH-SY5Y cell death.

Background : Mucins possess the unique function of protecting and lubricating the epithelial surface and other important functions such as call growth, direct implication in the fetal development, the epithelial renewal and differentiation, the epithelial integrity, carcinogenesis, immune regulation, cellular adhesion and metastasis. Purpose : This study was done to provide the significance of alteration of MUC1 and MUC2 expression in colorectal adenocarcinoma, A series of 131 colorectal adenocarcinomas including 11 mucinous carcinomas were screened immunohistochemically for their expression of MUCI and MUC2, Materials and mehtods : Of 131 carcinomas, 76 (58,5%) were MUCI positive and 91 (68, 9%) were MUC2 positive, In normal colonic goblet cells, MUCl was not expressed but MUC2 was expressed in cytoplasm, Conclusion There were up-regulation of MUCI and down-regulation of MUC2 in colorectal carcinomas, The frequency of MUC2 positivity according to differentiation was statistically reliable. $Ag-Si_3N_4$ nanostrutured composite has been investigated. The results show that it exhibits some novel properties such as strong piezpelectricity and high dielectricity. It can be constituted a battery using graphite and aluminum as the positive and the negative electrodes, respectively. The origins of these properties have been discussed.

A series of 2-substituted-1,4-bis(dimethylamino)-9,10-anthraquinone derivatives were synthesized and their in vitro antiproliferative activities against p388 mouse leukemic tumor cells were evaluated. In addition, the effect of substituents on the phenyl ring was investigated. Among the derivatives tested, seven showed a high antiproliferative effect and three showed a moderate effect. In addition, introduction of a series of substituted phenyl groups into 1,4-bis(dimethylamino)-9,10-anthraquinone at 2-position were shown to enhance its antiproliferative activity. The antiproliferative activity also increased upon substitution of the benzene ring by an electron donating group such as an amine or methoxyl group.

형태소 “족”은 “공통적인 특성을 가진 특정 사람”을 가리키는 의미에서 한중일 세 나라 언어로 공통된다. 본고에서는 형태소 “족”의 어의 “족”어의 중일한 비교 대조를 시도했다. 중국의 “족”어는 일본어와 한국어에 비해 외래어가 극소하고 그 95%가 한자로 표기되어 있다 특히“일족”라는 파생어를 생성하고있는 것도 한국어, 일본어와는 다르다. 일본어에 있어서 “족”어는 중국어와 한국어에 비해 당시의 인기 소설이나 잡지, 텔레비전 드라마의 제목에서 온 것이 많다. 또한 “족”어은 종종 마이너스의 어감을 띠고 있다. 일본에서는 “족”은 “계”로 대체되는 현상이 눈에 띄고, 일본어의 “족”어의 생성 메커니즘은 한중에 비해 쇠퇴의 길로 들어섰다 중국어와 일본어에 비해 한국어의 “족”어는 동물 이름으로 명명된 것이 많다. 또한 외래어 수용시“단축 + 합성” 형식의 다용, 한국산 영어가 범람함으로 말미암아 난해한 말이 많다. “족”어에는 한중일의 동의어가 많지만 그것은 인터넷의 보급이 “족”어의 전파에 박차를 가하고 있는 것이나 공통적인 생각, 행동 양식을 보이고 있는 이른바 “신·신 인류”가 세나라에 존재하는것에 기인하고 있다.
Robust extended Kalman filter of discrete-time Markovian jump nonlinear system under uncertain noise

This paper examines the problem of robust extended Kalman filter design for discrete -time Markovian jump nonlinear systems with noise uncertainty. Because of the existence of stochastic Markovian switching, the state and measurement equations of underlying system are subject to uncertain noise whose covariance matrices are time-varying or un-measurable instead of stationary. First, based on the expression of filtering performance deviation, admissible uncertainty of noise covariance matrix is given. Secondly, two forms of noise uncertainty are taken into account: Non- Structural and Structural. It is proved by applying game theory that this filter design is a robust mini-max filter. A numerical example shows the validity of the method.
Analysis of delay compensation in real-time dynamic hybrid testing with large integration time-step

With the sub-stepping technique, the numerical analysis in real-time dynamic hybrid testing is split into the response analysis and signal generation tasks. Two target computers that operate in real-time may be assigned to implement these two tasks, respectively, for fully extending the simulation scale of the numerical substructure. In this case, the integration time-step of solving the dynamic response of the numerical substructure can be dozens of times bigger than the sampling time-step of the controller. The time delay between the real and desired feedback forces becomes more striking, which challenges the well-developed delay compensation methods in real-time dynamic hybrid testing. This paper focuses on displacement prediction and force correction for delay compensation in the real-time dynamic hybrid testing with a large integration time-step. A new displacement prediction scheme is proposed based on recently-developed explicit integration algorithms and compared with several commonly-used prediction procedures. The evaluation of its prediction accuracy is carried out theoretically, numerically and experimentally. Results indicate that the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed prediction method are of significance.

<P><B>Background</B></P><P> Mesenchymal stem cell therapy (MSCT) and defocused low-energy shock wave therapy (ESWT) has been shown to ameliorate erectile dysfunction (ED). However, the interactions and effects of action between MSCT and ESWT remain poorly understood. In this study, we investigated the mechanisms of combination therapy with MSCT and ESWT in a rat model of diabetic ED. </P><P><B>Materials and Methods</B></P><P> Eight-week-old male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 2 parts. Diabetic rats induced by streptozotocin (65 mg/kg) were randomly divided into 4 groups: (1) DM control group, (2) DM + ESWT group, (3) DM + MSCT group, and (4) DM + ESWT + MSCT group. The sham group was a normal control group (without streptozotocin). MSCT and (or) ESWT were, respectively, administered to each group according to the proposal for 8 weeks. Immediately after recording of intracavernous pressure (ICP), the penis was then harvested for histologic analysis, ELISA, and Western blotting. </P><P><B>Results</B></P><P> The ratio of ICP/MAP was significantly higher in the DM + ESWT + MSCT group than in ESWT or MSCT treated group (<I>P</I> < 0.05). Also, the treatment stimulated angiogenesis and vasodilatation in the corpus cavernosum (<I>P</I> < 0.05). ESWT increased the quantity of MSCs in the corpus cavernosum and also induced MSCs to express more VEGF in vitro and vivo (<I>P</I> < 0.05) which activated the PI3K/AKT/mTOR and NO/cGMP signaling pathways in the corpus cavernosum. The combination approach stimulated autophagy and decreased apoptosis in the corpus cavernosum. NGF and BDNF expressions were higher in the DM + ESWT + MSCT group than in the DM control group (<I>P</I> < 0.01). Furthermore, the treatment promoted the MSC recruitment by inducing penile tissues to express more PECAM and SDF-1. </P><P><B>Conclusions</B></P><P> Combination of LI-ESWT and MSCT can get a better result than a single treatment by expressing more VEGF which can take part in autophagy by triggering the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway. This cooperative therapy would provide a new research direction in ED treatment for the future.</P>
Preparation of highly carbonized material from nanoparticle impregnated biomass

In this study, we impregnated nanometal samples having various concentrations 0, 1000, 3000, and 5000 ppm in biomass in order to make carbonized biomass. We analyzed the properties of the impregnated samples through thermogravimetry/differential thermal analysis (TG–DTA), iodine adsorptivity, fixed carbon ratio, pore distribution, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The best results were observed for a nanometal concentration of 5000 ppm. After the first heat treatment, carbonization, and activation processes, the fixed carbon ratio and iodine adsorptivity were increased by 11.07% and 42 mg/g, 11.07% and 198 mg/g, and 46.7% and 1185 mg/g, respectively. Through repeated experiments, we established the most effective process for impregnating a nanometal in biomass.
