The inter-connection of sports bra design attributes and elderly women's perceptions

As a sports facility category, a sports bra is regarded as an enabling technology garment with advanced functions and new cultural meanings. Women, particularly elderly women, are encouraged to wear a sports bra during physical activity because wearing a sports bra can not only prevent them from exercise-induced injuries but also increase the acceptance of their bodies. However, most studies usually targeted younger women. The requirements and expectations of elderly women on sports bras differ from younger individuals. Hence, this study aims to advance and explore the design demands, providing insights into age-friendly sports bra design by using more permeable physical and psychological boundaries based on conceptual frameworks. The sports bra evaluation words were extracted and calculated to construct the network. The appearance frequency of keywords, closeness centrality, betweenness centrality, and interconnection between every pair of words were illustrated and analyzed by using semantic-based network analysis. Network analysis deduced that the discomfort of sports bras was closely related with the support, tightness, cup design, and strap design. Beside, thermal management contributes significantly to the comfort. The outlook of a sports bra was associated with cup design. The Page-rank result showed that cup, tightness, hot, straps and quality were the top five important design attributes. The unobservable mechanisms underlying the keywords provide an alternative model, which can help to explore the key improvements for sports bra design.
Classifying Articles in Chinese Wikipedia with Fine-Grained Named Entity Types

Named entity classification of Wikipedia articles is a fundamental research area that can be used to automatically build large-scale corpora of named entity recognition or to support other entity processing, such as entity linking, as auxiliary tasks. This paper describes a method of classifying named entities in Chinese Wikipedia with fine-grained types. We considered multi-faceted information in Chinese Wikipedia to construct four feature sets, designed different feature selection methods for each feature, and fused different features with a vector space using different strategies. Experimental results show that the explored feature sets and their combination can effectively improve the performance of named entity classification.
Seepage Effects of Sequence Strata on Artificial Ground Freezing and Surrounding Environment

Almost all cross passages of subway tunnels, underground pumping houses, in and out tunnels in shield tunneling, cross-river or ocean tunnels in soft soil area, and even engineering accident fast repairs involve Artificial Ground Freezing (AGF) in China. Nowadays, the coastal extreme hydro-geological environment brings new problems and challenges to AGF. This paper uses scale model experiments to study the seepage effects on artificial ground freezing and surrounding environment by a typical sequence strata design of large seepage boundary of underlying sands and overlying frost sensitive soft clay. Freezing temperatures, frost heave forces, residual water contents, surface settlements under different seepage velocities within model soils are measured. Results show that when the seepage velocity is within 3m/d, the seepage increases the influence of heat convection on the heat transfer of the soil, but the heat transfer is still the main heat transfer mode of the soil. This provides a theoretical implication reference for multi-field coupled numerical simulation analysis of AGF involved seepage environment. The seepage weakens the effect of latent heat influence, that is, the phase transition equilibrium time is shortened, and linearly decreases with the increase of the seepage velocity. In addition, seepage has adverse effects of prolonging the freezing time and causing uneven settlement; even though it also reduces frost heave force, minish surface settlement and the amount of latent heat of soils, at the same time it slows the rate of thaw, and increases the time of the settlement process, which is also disadvantageous in practical engineering.
