Margaret Laurence는 진정으로 훌륭한 캐나다의 작가들과 그들의 작품들이 더욱더 많이 세계적으로 알려지고 그 진가를 인정받기를 원하며, 소설작품의 영역이 국가적인 경계를 넘어 더욱 확장되어야하고 동시에 독특하고 특수한 것이 보편적인 것이 되어야한다고 강조한다. 즉, 캐나다 사람들과 캐나다의 문화와 역사 등 캐나다적인 것에 대하여 객관적이고 정확한 관찰을 통한 진지한 글쓰기를 할 때 비로소 캐나다적인 목소리를 제대로 인식하고 이것이 보편성을 얻는다는 것이다(Lever 28). 이러한 그녀의 관점에서 볼 때 Manawaka 소설들은 캐나다적인 인물과 그 환경에서의 경험이라는 독특성과 인간애를 향한 인간의 내적인 삶과 인간들의 외부관계에 대한 주제라는 점에서 보편성을 지닌다. 따라서 그녀의 Manawaka 소설들에서는 주요 인물의 내적인 삶과 자아인식을 향한 진보, 이에 따른 삶과의 화해를 그리고 있으며, 그 대표적인 작품이 The Stone Angel이다. 척박하고 험난한 캐나다 환경에 적응하는데 필수적인 자존심과 강인한 성격은 주인공 Hagar의 생존을 가능케 했지만 그 성격의 부정적인 영향으로 인하여 인간미를 잃어버리고 자신은 물론 다른 사람들과의 관계에서 황폐하고 곤란한 삶을 산다. 이러한 그녀에 대하여 Laurence는 "I love her, at the same time, 1 deplore the kid of person she is. Many of her characteristics are extremely unlovable. I mean, she does a lot of damage to the very people she loves - a lot of psychic damage"라고 지적하고 있다(Fabre 206). 그러나 Hagar는 작품이 후반부로 진행될수록 위엄과 자존심으로 인해 죽어있었던 감정과 구속의 억압에서 벗어나 재탄생과 변형을 향해 나아간다. 자신과 주변사람들에게 불행을 초래했던 자신의 결함을 인식하고 인간애와 인간이해를 언행으로 표현하므로써 비인간적인 자존심의 속박에서 벗어나 자유를 추구한다. 그녀는 이러한 자아인식을 위하여 현재에서 과거기억 속으로의 여행을 떠나며 작품 전반에 걸쳐 나타나는 과거와 현재의 유기적인 시간구조는 Hagar의 의식의 변화에 커다란 영향을 주고 작품 전체에 통일감을 부여한다. 이처럼 캐나다적인 독특한 인물을 주인공으로 보편적인 인간의 제문제를 다룬 이 작품의 효과에 대하여 Laurence는 다음과 같이 말하고 있다 "I wrote about Hagar as one individual old woman, who certainly came out of my own background. But I was astonished when a number of other Canadians wrote to me or said to me that this was her grandmother. And I didn't know that it was going to turn out to be everybody's grandmother"(Kroetsch 48-49). 이상에서 살펴본 바와 같이 The Stone Angel에서 Laurence는 현재와 과거의 상호보완적인 시간구조 속에서 캐나다적인 환경에서 생존을 위해 필요한 강인함과 자존심의 부정적인 면을 부각시켜 객관적인 관점에서 이를 비판하고 인간미와 인간다움의 중요성을 강조하고 있다.

The Comedians : Brown의 비극적 인식을 통한 희망적 비젼

희비극은 회의적이고 부조리한 현대삶과 현대인을 그려내기에 가장 적절한 장르로서, 정치적 사회적 종교적 이데올로기적 위기 상황에 빠진 현대의 인간 군상들의 모습이 희극과 비극적 요소가 뒤엉켜 씁쓸한 페이소스를 자아내는 극이다. Greene은 이러한 현대에 대한 희비극적 인식을 The Comedians에 적용하여 사회적 정치적으로 고통스럽고 불행한 배경에서 Brown이라는 1인칭 화자의 주인공의 경박한 희극성과 공허함 그리고 비연루가 주변 인물들의 진지한 비극적인 삶과 상치되면서 겪게 되는 주인공의 내적 갈등과 비극적 인식을 보여주고 있다. 여기서 일반적인 희비극 작가와 Greene의 차이가 있다면 일반적인 희비극의 결말이나 전달하는 메시지는 문제의 고발과 비판을 중심으로 다소 우울한 그림자를 드리우지만, Greene은 희비극적 패턴을 이용하되 역설적으로 독자에게 Brown이 장차 방관자의 삶에서 벗어나 보다 진지하게 참여의 주인공으로 나아갈 수 있다는 희망적 비젼을 제시함과 동시에, 이기심과 무책임이라는 정신적 수면에 빠져 있는 현대인들의 정신적 각성을 요구하고 있다. 그의 희망의 메시지는 그의 다음 소설 The Honorary Consul로 이어진다. 요컨대 Greene은 각각의 개인의 위치에서 나아갈 바를 밝히고 있는데 부조리한 현실 세계에서 인식의 각성은 있으되 행동의 부재로 정신적 안이함에 빠져 있는 현대인들의 문제점을 지적하고 참여의 인식과 다른 이들에 대한 관심과 사랑을 바탕으로 하는 인간애를 통하여 현대인에게 구원의 가능성을 제시하고 있다.

또래지도가 독해부진아의 독해력과 적응행동에 미치는 효과

학습부진아 교육과 관련하여 관심이 높은 탐색과제 중의 하나가 독해의 문제이고, 특히, 또래학습에 대한 연군가 집중적으로 이루어지고 있다. 독해력과 정서상의 복합적인 어려움, 또래관계에서의 부적응 등을 겪고 있는 독해부진아에게 또래와의 상호작용을 통해 학습하는 또래 지도는 학습 능력을 개발하고 적응행동을 향상시키는데 매우 효과적인 방법으로 활발히 탐색되고 있다. 또래지도를 통한 실험 중재는 4주간에 걸쳐 우수 상급생에 의하여 또래지도를 8회 실시하였다. 또래지도 실시 후 사후검사를 실시하고, 또래지도 과정(8차시)중은 행동변화에 대한 질적 분석을 하여 또래지도가 독해력과 적응행동 향상에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 첫째, 또래지도는 독해부진아의 독해능력향상에 효과가 있으며 둘째, 또래지도 결과 학교생활, 급우들과의 관계 증진에 크게 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났다. 교사와 관계에서의 향상은 학교생활 전반에서의 관계가 향상됨으로서 부수적인 영향을 받을 뿐, 뚜렷한 향상을 보이지는 않았다. The purpose of this study is to show that peer tutoring gives some effects on children's reading comprehension ability and their development of adoptive behaviors. The researchers inspected their basic learning abilities of the four children selected from the fourth grade ones whose reading comprehension was 1.5 grade. The measuring tool was KEDI-WISC inspection and reading comprehension one. In order to inspect the type of their reading comprehension development, we observed the frequency of their adaptive behaviors and that of school adaptive behavior which may indicate the level of the adaptive development. After observing the peer group, we tested their reading comprehension and analyzed the result in quality. It was proved that there were social change before and after the test. The results that the peer tutoring gave the effect on the reading comprehension and on the social ability development are as follows: First, peering tutoring gives significant effect on the development of reading comprehension of the poor reader. This proves that teaching methods gives great influence on the learning ability of the children. At the peer tutoring, the language of that age was used and their little psychological burden brought about more effect. Second, after the peer tutoring the children's relationship was improved. The teacher, however, was concerned with all the school activities, the children's development was not significant to him. During the peer tutoring and the long observation, poor readers showed gradually social ability development according to the development in the inferior of the study and bad relation of social life.

In this paper, we present conference key authentication mechanism by employing an algebraic method on IMT-2000 environment To accomplish this, Symmetric Balanced Incomplete block design is applied for generating the communication key and then this key is distributed to participants Through this technique for creating a conference key and mutual authentications performed based on identification information, the communication protocol is designed The protocol presented minimizes the transmission complexity for generating a conference key On a special case the time complexity is O(v√v), where v is the number of participant. The security of the mechanism, which is a significant problem in the construction of Secure system, can be, proved as computationally difficult to calculate as factoring and discrete logarithms.

사용후핵연료 차세대관리공정 장비의 내방사선 요건 분석

For hot operation of advanced spent fuel conditioning process(ACP), the analysis of radiation-resistant Requirements effect and the system design process are required to design equipment to operate to operate reliably in a gamma radiation environment such as hot cell. To analysis the effects of radiation for ACP, we used the SCALE codes which were certified by Nuclear Regulatory Commission(NRC). The source term was calculated which reflects the features of target nuclear fuels using ORIGEN-S, a module of the SCALE code, and the gamma dose rates were calculated by using the QADS modules, considering the geometry of process equipment respectively. the results are shows that the value was maximum 3.03 ㏉/h from the rod storage box in hot cell, maximum 0.6 ㏉/h from the metallizer, and maximum 72.0 ㏉/h from the vol-oxidizer. Considering those values, the design methods for shielding and repositioning the major equipments and components should be induced, and, the preventive maintenance for components before failure actually occurs should be minimized the effects of radiation.

The Complex-culture facility is mainly focused on the entertainment space with increased leisure living, which is consist of important element of the Complex-culture facility as performance space, exhibition, sports and shopping space to construct performance hall, theater, exhibition room, sports center, shopping mall, leisure space and plaza. This study, therefore, will Investigate on the function and value of color, and review on the cases of Complex-cultural facility and then choose a space of cultural element lack. 송화분의 단백질과 단백질 분획의 분리 및 사염화탄소를 투여한 흰쥐의 혈청에 미치는 효과

사염화탄소로 간장해를 유발시킨 흰쥐에 있어서 생체내에 미치는 영향을 검토하기 위해, 송화분의 조단백질들과 단백질 fraction들을 일정기간 경구투여하고 그 결과를 관찰하였다. 1. 체중은 사염화탄소 단독투여군(Ⅱ)에 비해 모든 조단백질군과 단백질 분획군(Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ)들이 유의성있게 증가하였으나 간중량비(RLS)에는 별차이가 없었고, 식이 섭취율은 정상군(Ⅰ)이 가장 많이 섭취하였다. 2. GOT는 조단백질 1투여군(Ⅲ)만이 뚜렷하게 감소했을 뿐이며, GPT는 모든 조단백질 및 단백질 분획 투여군들(Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ)이 유의성있게 감소했다. 3. LDH는 조단백질 및 단백질 분획 투여군(Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ) 모두가 뚜렷하게 감소하였는데 이는 정상군(Ⅰ)보다도 낮았다. 4. Total cholesterol은 조단백질 및 단백질 분획 투여군(Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ) 모두가 유의성있게 감소하였는데 정상군(Ⅰ)과 거의 비슷한 농도를 나타내었다. 5. Glucose 함량은 정상군(Ⅰ)을 포함한 모든 조단백질 및 단백질 분획 투여군(Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ)들이 사염화탄소 단독투여군에 비해 유의성있게 감소하였으며 단백질분획 1투여군(Ⅲ)의 함량이 가장 낮았다. 6. Total protein은 정상군(Ⅰ)을 포함한 모든 조단백질 및 단백질 분획 투여군(Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ)들이 사염화탄소 단독투여군에 비해 유의성있게 증하였다. 7. SDS-PAGE를 행한 결과로는 송화분으로부터 분리한 단백질이 30,000-67,000 dalton 사이에 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서, 위의 결과들을 종합하여 볼때 30,000-67,000 dalton 사이에 있는 송화분의 조단백질들과 그 분획들이 사염화탄소로 인한 간장해에 효과가 있는 것으로 사료되며, 앞으로도 계속적으로 연구를 행해야 할 것으로 사료된다.

McCoy 세포에서 Chlamydia trachomatis의 병원성 인자에 관한 연구

본 연구는 병원성 세균인 Chlamydia trachomatis(C. trachomatis)가 숙주세포에침습시 C. trachomatis의 병원성 인자와 C. trachomatis와 상호작용하는 숙주 세포막의 인자를 규명함으로써 숙주세포에 대한 감염율을 향상시켜 보다 향상된 진단 방법을 개발하기 위하여 수행하였다. C. trachomatis로 감염된 세포에서 기본소체의 막 단백질을 분리한 결과 각 혈청형의 39 kDa과 42 kDa에서 major outer membranes(MOMPs)이 관찰되었으며, 혈청형 E와 G의 MOMPs는 42.5 kDa으로 동일하였지만 혈청형 F, H, I, 그리고 K의 MOMPs는 각각 다르게 관찰되었다. C. trachomatis가 숙주세포로 침습시 관련된 병원성 인자에 대하여 조사하고자 단층세포로 배양된 배양용기에 C. trachomatis를 24, 48 그리고 73시간대별로 접종시켜 관찰한 결과 72시간의 MOMPs의 양이 가장 많이 증가하였으며 이 결과로 MOMPS이 C. trachomatis 병원성에 중요한 작용을 함을 확인할 수 있었다. C. trachomatis가 침습시 숙주세포의 막 단백질 변화양상을 관찰하기 위해 정상세포와 C. trachomatis로 1, 2, 3 그리고 4시간대별로 접종 시간을 달리한 숙주세포의 막 단백질을 분리한 결과 42 kDa의 단백질 양이 Chlamydia에 감염된 세포 내에서 증가됨을 관찰할 수 있었다. 이로 42 kDa의 막 단백질이 침습시 숙주세포 표면에 대한 수용체로서 작용함을 알 수 있었다. The present study was performed to analyze the pathogenic factors involved in the invasion process of Chlamydia trachomatis(C. trachomatis) into McCoy cells. In this study, elementary bodies(EBs) of C. trachomatis serotypes(E, F, G, H, I, K and LGV) could be isolated by the method of Percoll density gradient centrifugation and the pathogens of serotypes were also compared from whole-cell lysates by using sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel elelectrophoresis. All chlamydial serotypes showed a single predominant protein ranging from 39 to 42 kDa. The major outer membrane proteins(MOMPs) of the E and G serotypes had an identical molecular weight of 42.5 kDa. In contrast, the MOMPs of the F, H, I and K serotypes were showed different molecular weights of MOMPs. By immunoblotting with anti-MOMP antibody it was revealed that the quantify of MOMPs was time-dependently increased when McCoy cells were infected with Chlamydia for 24, 48 and 72 hr. These results indicated that MOMPs are closely related to chlamydial infection into the host cell.
