Subjects consisted of 77 healthy men(21-24 years old) who were divided into four groups based on concentrations used in sensitization:4%(16 subjects), 2%(21 subject), 1%(20 subjects), and 0,5%(20 subject) DPCP. Each subject received a single 2cm topical application of 0.1ml of DPCP solution in acetone on the shoulder, which was washed it 48 hours later. Sensitization was expressed by the occurence of a sopntaneous flare-us(SFU) after eight to 16 days or a positive reponse on low concentration challenge on day 7, 14 and 21. The over-all rate of sensitization was 88.3%. Sensitization rate did not vary with concentration of DPCP(p>0.005). The average time for SFU occured was 9.9-12.2 days ; a positive response after low concentration challenge test occured on day 14. These results suggests that sensitization of DPCP can be achieved within 2 weeks by a single topical application of 0.1ml of 0.5% DPCP (Kor J Dermatol 29(3) : 292-297, 1991)

      • Anti-Fibrotic Effect of Urushiol (Rhus Verniciflua Stokes) on Thioacetamide-Induced Liver Fibrosis of Mice Model

        Aims: Liver fibrosis constitutes a serious problem worldwide due to its rapidly leads to cirrhosis, and even cancer. However, there is no clear medical treatment other than treating the cause. Urushiol has been known to have anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative effects on various disease. We investigated the effect of urushiol on liver fibrosis induced by thioacetamide (TAA). Methods: Thirty C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into 3 groups and urushiol was dissolved in vehicle (DMSO) for in vivo experiments: (1) control group; (2) TAA (normal saline as solvent, 300 mg/kg/day, 3 times/week, i.p.) + vehicle (gavage). (3) TAA (300 mg/kg/day, 3 times/week, i.p.) + urushiol (0.128 mg/ mL/day, 28 times, gavage). These groups were analyzed by immunohistochemical staining, reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, and microarray. Results: The TAA + Urushiol group improved the deposition of fibrillar collagen (Sirius Red (%) 1.55 ± 0.25 vs. TAA, P<0.0001), Fibrosis stage reduced (1.64 ± 0.20 vs. TAA, P<0.0001) and Inflammation activity decreased concurrently (1.17 ± 0.16 vs. TAA, P<0.0001). The analysis of mRNA expression showed that Col1a1 (2.30-fold change vs. TAA, P<0.0001) and TIMP-1 (1.48-fold change vs. TAA, P<0.05), IL-6 (3.03- fold change vs. TAA, P<0.0001), JAK2 (0.89-fold change vs. TAA, P<0.05), STAT3 (3.26-fold change vs. TAA, P<0.0001) downregulated significantly. As shown microarray analysis, downregulation of Col1a1 (1.12-fold change vs. TAA, P<0.05), Chka, lipid metabolic process gene (2.21-fold change vs. TAA, P<0.001), Pnpla3, patatin-like phospholipase domain containing 3 (1.57-fold change, P<0.001) Contrast, Orm2, regulation of immune system process gene (2.28-fold change vs. TAA, P<0.001) Saa1, serum amyloid A (2.25-fold changes vs. TAA, P<0.05), Saa2 (3.09-fold change, P<0.001) Conclusions: Our results indicated that urushiol has therapeutic effect on liver fibrosis. Although it is needed more clinical research, urushiol can be a potential agent for the treatment of liver fibrosis.

      • Anti-Fibrotic Effects of Gut-Microbiome on Liver

        Aims: Treatment for liver cirrhosis is intended to slow the progression and deterioration of liver function. Although many studies have shown that microbiome is an important factor in improving liver disease progression through the gut-liver axis, the exact mechanism is still unknown. The microbiome in the gut regulates nutrient metabolism and immune response and interacts closely with the host if the gut microbiome can suppress the progression of liver cirrhosis and analyze clinical data. Therefore, our study aim is to suppress the progression of liver fibrosis due to the modulation of gut-microbiome. Methods: Liver cirrhosis in mice was induced by DDC (3,5-diethoxycarboncyl-1,4-dihydrocollidine) diet. 6-week-old male C57BL/6J mice were divided into 5 groups (n=10/group; normal, liver fibrosis-induced control, strain X, L. lactis, and UDCA). Strain X group was given the strain X twice a week [109 CFU/g, 4-week]. Gene expression was compared and analyzed through mRNA sequencing analysis of mouse hepatic stellate cells in the DDC model. Results: The Strain X showed improvement in the Staging level and Sirius red areas compared to the fibrosis group induced by the DDC diet (P<0.05). The levels of the liver fibrosis markers TIMP1 (P=0.02), Col1a (P<0.001), and TGF-ß (P<0.001) were decreased in the Strain X group compared with fibrosis models. When HSCs were isolated, expression of TIMP1 (P=0.38) and Col1a (P=0.055) decreased in strain X. Strain X compared to DDC in the mRNA sequencing, the up-regulated gene is Ecm1, Fos, Serpina1e and the down-regulated gene is Cd5l, Cd63, Marco (P<0.03). Conclusions: Strain X improved fibrosis by modulating the gut microbial composition in a mouse model induced cirrhosis.

        Virus infections of the honeybee(Apis mellifera) have been increasingly investigated during the last decade. In general, honeybee viruses are widespread and most of them persist as inapparent infections. We screened honeybee colonies for the presence of several bee viruses, including deformed wing virus(DWV), black queen virus(BQCV), Kashmir bee virus(KBV), Israeli acute paralysis virus (IAPV), sacbrood virus(SBV), acute bee paralysis virus(ABPV), using uniplex RT-PCR. Frequently simultaneous infections with different viruses are diagnosed in seemingly healthy bee colonies. Therefore we developed a multiplex RT-PCR assay for the simultaneous detection of multiple bee viruses.

        Recently, the amount of concrete has been rapidly increased, so redevelopment of waste concrete is needed urgently. Collecting of natural sand is limited because of rack of natural. These days, supply and demand imbalance of construction industry sand is really rising problem. That is why we need high quality recycled sand's use from waste concrete. But, in case of recycled sand, density and rate of absorption is lower than natural one, so it is used to lower value added products and it is limited its usage. There is a few demands of recycled sand and actually the most if concrete are disposed, so the rate of transposition is really limited. Accordingly, in this study we developed the process and machine of dry manufacturing system for high quality recycled sand by high speed impact. We will evaluate each part of the product so we can ensure the materials data for the improvement of dry manufacturing system's performance.

        개실염에 동반된 상장간막 정맥 혈전증 1예

        Mesenteric vein thrombosis is a rare disease that can be fatal, as it can cause ischemia or infarction of bowels. The mortality rate is 13∼50%. The predisposing factors of mesenteric vein thrombosis are numerous, and one of them is diverticulitis. Diverticulitis is a rare disease and mesenteric vein thrombosis caused by diverticulitis has not been reported in Korea. We report a patient with superior mesenteric vein thrombosis associated with diverticulitis of ascending colon, and it was diagnosed by computed tomography and barium enema. After antibiotic therapy, the thrombosis was resolved and the patient was completely recovered.

        천년초 선인장 줄기의 항당뇨 및 항산화 효과

        본 연구에서는 천년초 줄기 분말을 이용한 식품 개발에 활용하고자 천년초 줄기 분말을 용매별로 추출하여 항당뇨 및 항산화 활성을 시험하였다. 천년초 줄기의 ethyl acetate fraction을 1,000 μg/mL 처리했을 때 α-amylase 억제활성이 89.94±1.15%로 가장 높았으며, 다른 fraction들은 12.19±2.39~28.14±2.06%로 낮았다. α-Glucosidase 억제활성은 ethyl acetate fraction이 29.01±0.49%로 가장 높았으며, 75% ethanol fraction은 23.48±9.89%였고 water fraction이 12.59±1.35%로 가장 낮았다. 용매 분획별 total phenolics 함량과 total flavonoids 함량은 ethyl acetate fraction에서 각각 196.02±5.26 및 114.00±10.03 μg/mg으로 가장 높게 나타났다. Ethyl acetate fraction의 DPPH 및 ABTS radical 소거능은 농도 의존적으로 각각 88.78±0.30% 및 97.27±0.94%로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 대조구인 BHT 및 비타민 C와 비슷하였다. FRAP 활성은 chloroform 및 ethyl acetate fraction에서 각각 1.119±0.018 및 1.057±0.014 abs(593 nm)로 다른 fraction보다 높게 나타났다. 전체적으로 천년초 줄기의 ethyl acetate fraction의 항당뇨 및 항산화 효과가 가장 높게 나타났으며, 상업적으로 사용되는 BHT 및 비타민 C와 비슷한 항산화 효과를 나타내는 천연소재를 발굴함으로써 천년초 줄기가 항당뇨 및 항산화 활성을 갖는 식품소재로서 활용 가능성이 높은 것으로 판단되었다. To investigate the anti-diabetic and antioxidant effects of Opuntia humifusa cladodes, O. humifusa cladodes powder was extracted with 75% ethanol and fractionated with various solvents. Among the extracts fractionated with various solvents, α-amylase and α-glucosidase inhibitory activities of O. humifusa cladodes were highest (89.94±1.15% and 29.01±3.03%, respectively) in the ethyl acetate fraction. Further, total phenolic and flavonoid contents of the ethyl acetate fraction were the highest (196.02±5.26 and 114.00±10.03 μg/mg, respectively). DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities increased according to the concentration of O. humifusa cladodes extract, and those of the ethyl acetate fraction were the highest. Ferric reducing antioxidant powers of chloroform and the ethyl acetate fraction were higher than those of other fractions. Overall, the ethyl acetate fraction of O. humifusa cladodes showed the highest anti-diabetic and antioxidant effects. Results indicate that O. humifusa cladodes powder has potential as a useful ingredient with anti-diabetic and antioxidant effects.

        본 연구에서는 21세기 고부가가치의 문화산업이 국가 핵심 산업으로 육성되고 문화산업은 콘텐츠산업을 중심으로 분야별 · 지역별 문화산업이 지속적인 성장을 할 수 있도록 체계화 방안을 도입하고, 다양한 잠재력 높은 산업 체제 방안을 구축하여야 한다. 이를 위해서 국내 문화산업의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 방안으로 중소기업의 특성과 국내외 중소기업지원제도, 그리고 중소기업 지원제도의 현황에 대해 살펴본 후, 전남지역 문화산업 활성화 방안을 모색하기 위해 문화 산업의 지원제도의 문제점과 개선 방안을 도출하였다. In this study, the cultural industry of high added value in the 21st century is fostered as a core industry of the country, and the cultural industry introduces a systematization plan so that the cultural industry of each field and region can continue to grow, centering on the content industry. It must be built. To this end, after examining the characteristics of SMEs, domestic and overseas SME support systems, and the current status of SME support systems as a way to strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic cultural industry. An improvement plan was derived.

      • LED로 구현된 빛을 통한 상황정보 표현에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 LED를 활용한 빛의 색채적 표현과 동적 표현을 구성하는 요소들에 대해 고찰하고, 빛의 표현 요소에 따른 상황정보 해석의 경향성을 분석하였다. 2회의 실험 연구 결과, 빛의 색채적 표현에는 파장이, 동적 표현에서는 빠르기가 상황정보 해석에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것을 발견하였으며, 일반적으로 빛으로 표현되지 않았던 새로운 상황에 대해서도 빛을 통해 명확한 정보 전달이 가능함을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 발견점들을 토대로 정보 표현 양식으로써 빛이 가지고 있는 잠재성에 대해 논의하고자 한다.
