A new gear tooth modification model of planetary gear system was established by considering the characteristics of tooth longitudinal crowning modification and tooth profile modification. Using this model, the influences of modification parameters on the time-varying mesh stiffness, transmission error, contact spots and dynamic response of the planetary gear system were analyzed through numerical analysis. The results show that tooth profile modification can effectively restrain the mesh stiffness sudden variation in the single and double tooth alternation of both the internal and external mesh pairs, and significantly decrease the transmission error fluctuation. However, longitudinal crowning modification has no marked influence on mesh stiffness sudden variation or transmission error fluctuation. The tooth profile modification can significantly reduce the sudden variation of tooth surface load during gear mesh course. Longitudinal crowning modification can make the tooth surface load evenly distributed in tooth width direction. When the external meshing pairs are modified at the tooth profile individually, the magnitude values of main response resonance peaks of internal meshing pairs have a great reduction, but those values of external meshing pairs change slightly. In the case of tooth profile modification of the internal meshing pairs, the phenomenon is reversed. By contrast with tooth profile modification, longitudinal crowning modification has little influence on the resonance peaks of internal and external meshing pairs.

Simple, inexpensive, low-temperature and solution processable fabrication methods are considered attractive in organic optoelectronic devices such as organic solar cells (OSCs) and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). Previous our study investigated new synthesized electron transporting materials (4-(2,3-diphenylquinoxaline-5-yl)phenyl)diphenylphosphine oxide (QxTPPO1) consisting of quinoxaline and phosphine oxide moieties, which provide solution processing and tuning the work function of metal cathodes via dipole moment, leading to efficient electron transport. For more effective electron transport, well-matched energy levels between the active later and electron transport layer (ETL) are required due to the different energy levels of the active layers in OSCs and OLEDs. Herein, we design the new electron transporting materials via control of additional functional groups to quinoxaline in QxTPPO1 for efficient electron transport in OLEDs and OSCs, respectively.

Existing methods always rely on statistical features to extract local words for microblog user geolocation. There are many non-local words in extracted words, which makes geolocation accuracy lower. Considering the statistical and semantic features of local words, this paper proposes a microblog user geolocation method by extracting local words based on word clustering and wrapper feature selection. First, ordinary words without positional indications are initially filtered based on statistical features. Second, a word clustering algorithm based on word vectors is proposed. The remaining semantically similar words are clustered together based on the distance of word vectors with semantic meanings. Next, a wrapper feature selection algorithm based on sequential backward subset search is proposed. The cluster subset with the best geolocation effect is selected. Words in selected cluster subset are extracted as local words. Finally, the Naive Bayes classifier is trained based on local words to geolocate the microblog user. The proposed method is validated based on two different types of microblog data - Twitter and Weibo. The results show that the proposed method outperforms existing two typical methods based on statistical features in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score.

Optoelectronic devices with organic semiconductors, such as organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), have received much attention because they offer ease of processing and device flexibility. However, practical application of these devices is still hindered by relatively poor device performance and lack of cost-effective fabrication process, which represent properties largely determined by the molecular dipole moments of the organic molecules. In this study, we designed and prepared novel quinoxaline-phosphine oxide small molecules (QPSMs) as the electron transport layer (ETL) for the solution-processable OLEDs by tuning the end functional group of the aromatic QPSMs. A key design criterion was controlling the dipole moments of QPSMs, which confers (1) convenient deposition on the emission layer without further annealing through solubility in isopropanol and (2) improved electron injection/transport behavior through effective band level matching of the devices. In particular, the optimized OLEDs with (4-(2,3-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)quinoxalin-5-yl)phenyl)diphenylphosphine oxide (MQxTPPO1) exhibit external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 6.12%. Our results demonstrate the potential application of QPSMs as next-generation ETLs in organic semiconductors.

Low back pain, triggered by intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD), is one of the most common causes of disability and financial expenditure worldwide. However, except for surgical interventions, effective medical treatment to prevent the progression of IVDD is lacking. This study aimed to investigate the effects of circKIF18A, a novel circRNA, on IVDD progression and to explore its underlying mechanism in IVDD. In this study, we found that oxidative stress was positively correlated with nucleus pulposus cell (NPC) senescence in IVDD and that circKIF18A was downregulated in IVDD and attenuated senescent phenotypes such as cell cycle arrest and extracellular matrix degradation in NPCs. Mechanistically, circKIF18A competitively suppressed ubiquitin-mediated proteasomal degradation of MCM7, and the protective effects of circKIF18A on NPCs were partially mediated by MCM7 under oxidative stress. Intradiscal injection of adenoviral circKIF18A ameliorated IVDD in a rat model. This study revealed that circKIF18A regulates NPC degeneration by stabilizing MCM7 and identified a novel signaling pathway, the circKIF18A-MCM7 axis, for anti-senescence molecular therapy in IVDD.
