The aim of this study is to determine impact of clinical practice satisfaction, career search efficacy, and major satisfaction on career preparation behavior in nursing students. Data were collected from structured questionnaires from July 30 to August 3, 2017 for 115 graduate students in the Department of Nursing at D University in Busan. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson s correlation analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression, conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics 24. According to the results of the study, clinical practice satisfaction, career search efficacy, major satisfaction, and career preparation behavior showed a significant positive correlation. Clinical practice satisfaction independently accounted for 19.0% of career preparation behavior, and career search efficacy independently accounted for 3.0% of career preparation behavior. Major satisfaction didn’t affect career preparation behavior. Therefore, it is necessary to establish and operate programs in the curriculum to improve the clinical practice satisfaction and career search efficacy in order to improve career preparation behavior of nursing students.

<P>Phosphatases of regenerating liver (PRLs) constitute a novel class of small, prenylated phosphatases with oncogenic activity. PRL-3 is particularly important in cancer metastasis and represents a potential therapeutic target. The flexibility of the WPD loop as well as the P-loop of protein tyrosine phosphatases is closely related to their catalytic activity. Using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, we studied the structure of vanadate-bound PRL-3, which was generated by addition of sodium orthovanadate to PRL-3. The WPD loop of free PRL-3 extended outside of the active site, forming an open conformation, whereas that of vanadate-bound PRL-3 was directed into the active site by a large movement, resulting in a closed conformation. We suggest that vanadate binding induced structural changes in the WPD loop, P-loop, helices α4−α6, and the polybasic region. Compared to free PRL-3, vanadate-bound PRL-3 has a longer α4 helix, where the catalytic R110 residue coordinates with vanadate in the active site. In addition, the hydrophobic cavity formed by helices α4−α6 with a depth of 14–15 Å can accommodate a farnesyl chain at the truncated prenylation motif of PRL-3, i.e., from R169 to M173. Conformational exchange data suggested that the WPD loop moves between open and closed conformations with a closing rate constant <I>k</I>close of 7 s–1. This intrinsic loop flexibility of PRL-3 may be related to their catalytic rate and may play a role in substrate recognition.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/bichaw/2014/bichaw.2014.53.issue-29/bi5003844/production/images/medium/bi-2014-003844_0011.gif'></P>

Recurrent preeclampsia has also been associated with increased rates of preterm delivery, delivery of a small-for-gestational-age (SGA) infant, and perinatal death in women with recurrent preeclampsia when compared with preeclampsia in a first pregnancy. Therefore, it is critical to prevent recurrence of preeclampsia with customized optimal drug treatment particularly in elderly women of childbearing age. Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors are widely used for controlling hypertension. The use of ACE inhibitors in pregnant women is not without risk to the fetus, including renal failure, renal dysplasia, hypotension, oligohydramnios, pulmonary hypoplasia, and hypocalvaria. We describe a case exposed in utero to ACE inhibitors who had adverse outcomes leading to neonatal death. Women with previous preeclampsia require special obstetric care with close liaison with physicians or cardiologists and management guidelines during pregnancy should be available and observed.

Teacher professional development is critical because teachers play a pivotal role in students' positive learning experience in schools. In particular, teachers' systematic class goal-setting practice is important for their performance outcomes such as effective classroom management and student learning. This study investigates the effects of teachers' engagement in class goal-setting activities using strategies derived from Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) framework as a systematic guideline by exploring the relationship among the four variables: teachers' class goal-setting, their partnership with stakeholders, teacher effectiveness, and student satisfaction. By using Process analysis techniques to estimate the dual mediation model on data from 55 elementary school teachers and their 1790 students, the findings indicate the positive relationship between teachers' systematic efforts for their class goal setting and student satisfaction was fully and sequentially mediated by teachers' partnership activities with the stakeholders and perceived teacher effectiveness. The findings propose the importance of teachers' systematic goal-setting strategies in their classes, which can be developed for professional development opportunities leading to successful performance outcomes. The study also highlights the various indirect effects produced by teachers' engagement in class goal setting. The practical implications of the research as well as theoretical contributions for teachers are discussed.

Recent studies in gesture interfaces have focused on enhancing the naturalness of gesture vocabularies by utilizing users`experiences related to a command. However, the previous studies lack methods for organizing the user-defined gestures in a systematic manner. It is difficult to identify the important characteristics of the user-defined gestures for commands. The users`intentions of deriving a specific gesture for a command could be misinterpreted by the researchers. We propose a three-dimensional hand gesture taxonomy to resolve these issues. Further, we organized the user-preferred gestures that were acquired via two experiments. By subdividing the elements of each gesture, we were able to develop a new method for analyzing the important characteristics of gestures. This study proposes a novel and systematic approach to quantifying user-preferred gestures.
