<P>We report a study of the decay D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 using 921 fb(-1) of data collected at or near the (sic)(4S) and (sic)(5S) resonances with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e(+)e(-) collider. The measured time-integrated CP asymmetry is A(CP)(D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0) = (-0.02 +/- 1.53 +/- 0.02 +/- 0.17)%, and the branching fraction is B(D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0) = (1.321 +/- 0.023 +/- 0.036 +/- 0.044) x 10(-4), where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is due to the normalization mode (D-0 -> K-S(0)pi(0)). These results are significantly more precise than previous measurements available for this mode. The A(CP) measurement is consistent with the standard model expectation.</P>

SrRu<SUB>1-x</SUB>Fe<SUB>x</SUB>O<SUB>3-δ</SUB> (x = 0.00, 0.05, 0.10, and 0.20) thin films were fabricated to study the intrinsic aspects of a ''self spin valve''. Using epitaxial strain and high oxygen partial pressure during thin film growth, single phase thin films with negligible oxygen vacancies were successfully grown, and problems related to A-site disorder and grain boundaries were minimized. Under application of an external magnetic field of up to 9 T, the resistivity of all films decreased, resulting in large negative magnetoresistance (up to ~14.4%), which was stronger at temperatures in the range 10-30 K. An abrupt metal-insulator transition at T~ 43 K was found in the x = 0.20 film, which was explained using a two-fluid model related to electron-electron interactions. From the model, two fitting parameters were found to be necessary for in-situ and homogenous defects, while three or unphysical fitting parameters were necessary for ex-situ and inhomogeneous defects.

[$M_2L(NO_3)_n(H_2O)_m$]의 일반식을 갖는 일련의 동종이핵 착물을 합성하여 원소분석, 열분석, 몰 전기전도도, 자기모멘트 및 분광학적 방법(IR, UV-vis 및 $^1H$-NMR)을 통해 특성을 조사하였다. 이 경우, 일반식에 있어서 M=$UO_2$(VI), ZrO(IV), Th(IV); L=3-benzylidine-imino-5-p-sulphonamido phenyl azo-2-thiohyatoin(bispt), 3-furfurylidine-imino-5-psulphonamido phenyl azo-2-thiohydantoin(fispt),3-pyridyl-2'-methylene-imino-5-p-sulphonamido phenyl azo-2-thiohydantoin (pmispt) 및 3-thienyl-2'-methylene-imino-5-p-sulphoanamido phenyl azo-2-thiohydantoin(tmispt); Th(IV)에 대해서 n=8 그 외의 것에 대해서는 n=4, bispt에 대해서는 m=4 그 외의 것에 대해서는 m=3을 의미한다. 이러한 결과에서 얻은 정보를 통해 리간드들은 4배위를 하는 것으로 확인되었는데, 즉 한 중심금속은azomethine 질소 및 카르보닐 산소에 배위되는 반면, 또 다른 중심금속은 아조 질소 및 thioimido 질소에 배위되어 위의 조성을 갖는 동종이핵 착물을 이룬다. 몇 가지 병원균에 대한 리간드와 그들의 지르코닐 착물의 독성 연구도 수행하였다. A series of homobinuclear complexes of the type [$M_2L(NO_3)_n(H_2O)_m$] where M=$UO_2$(VI), ZrO(IV), Th(IV); L=3-benzylidine-imino-5-p-sulphonamido phenyl azo-2-thiohyatoin(bispt), 3-furfurylidine-imino-5-p-sulphonamido phenyl azo-2-thiohydantoin(fispt),3-pyridyl-2'-methylene-imino-5-p-sulphonamido phenyl azo-2-thiohydantoin(pmispt) and 3-thienyl-2'-methylene-imino-5-p-sulphoanamido phenyl azo-2-thiohydantoin(tmispt); n=8 for Th(IV) and 4 for others, m=4 for bispt and 3 for others have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, thermal analysis, molar conductance, magnetic moment and spectroscopic data (IR, electronic and $^1H$-NMR). In the light of this information, the ligands can be visualized as tetradentate co-ordinating through azomethine nitrogen, carbonyl oxygen to one metal centre where as azo nitrogen and thioimido nitrogen to the other metal centre yielding homo binuclear complexes of the above composition. The fungi toxicity of the ligands & their zirconyl complexes against some fungal pathogen has been studied.

A series of complexes of the type [$ML_2Cl_2$], where L=2-(o-anisylidene-2'-imino) amino benzimidazole (AIAB) and 2-(furfurylidene imino) amino benzimidazole (FIAB), M=Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II), have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, thermal analysis, molar conductivity, magnetic moment, electronic, infrared, $^1H$-NMR spectral studies. The results are in consistent with bidentate chelation of ligand with azomethine nitrogen and ring nitrogen donors. All these Schiff bases and their complexes have also been screened for their antibacterial (Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus stearothermophilus, Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi) and antifungal activities (Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus flavus).

A series of homo binuclear complexs of the type $[M_2(L/L^')(NO_3)n].mH_2O$, [where $M=U{O_2}^{2+},\;Th^{4+},\;ZrO^{2+}$] and $[(VO)_2(L/L^')(SO_4)_2]{\cdot}2H_2O$, L=1,5,6,9,12,15,16,20 octaaza-7,813,14-tetraphenyl-2,4,17,19-tetramethyl-1,4,6,8,12,14,16,19-docosaoctene (OTTDO) or L'=10:11;21:22-dibenzo-1,5,6,9,12,15,16,20-octaaza-7,813,14-tetraphenyl-2,4,17,19-tetramethyl-1,4,6,8,12,14,16,19-docosaoctene (DOTTOT), n=4 for $U{O_2}^{2+}$, $ZrO^{2+}$ n=8 for $Th^{4+}$ m=1,2,3 respectively, have been synthesized in template method from ethylenediamine/orthophenylene diamine, benzil monohydrazone and acetyl acetone and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, thermal analysis, molar conductivity, magnetic moment, electronic, infrared, $^1H$-NMR studies. The results indicate that the VO(IV) ion is penta co-ordinated yielding paramagnetic complexes; $UO_2(VI)$, ZrO(IV) ions are hexa co-ordinated where as Th(IV) ion is octa co-ordinated yielding diamagnetic complexes of above composition. The fungi toxicity of the ZrO(IV) and VO(IV) complexes against some fungal pathogen has been studied.

The present study explores the role of Ti ion implantation in structural phase transition in TiO2 thin films. Raman and TEM results reveal that after implantation Rutile phase in films increases at the expense of Anatase nanostructures. Though the as-deposited films display the presence of bigger anatase nanoparticles, after implantation, predominantly phonon confined smaller (~ 8 nm in size) anatase nanostructures are observed. GIXRD and Raman results further reflect presence of a critical fluence, 1 × 1013 ions/cm2, where the initial transformation from anatase to Rutile phase is observed. The role of Oxygen vacancies, in this transformation, has been explored here by XPS. Modifications in UV–Vis and Bandgap results show rich behavior which also reflects phase transformation at the critical fluence. Results further indicate that the phase transition gets first initiated deeper in the film and later on the surface. Interestingly, aggregation of larger Anatase nano-particles appears to be responsible for the structural transformation as observed here.
EFFECT OF MAGNETIC FIELD ON LONGITUDINAL FLUID VELOCITY OF INCOMPRESSIBLE DUSTY FLUID

The effects of longitudinal velocity dusty fluid flow in a weak magnetic field are investigated in this paper. An external uniform magnetic field parallel to the flow of dusty fluid influences the flow of dusty fluid. Besides that, the problem under investigation is completely defined in terms of identifying parameters such as longitudinal velocity (u), Hartmann number (M), dust particle interactions β, stock resistance γ, Reynolds number (Re) and magnetic Reynolds number (Rm). While using suitable transformations of resemblance, The governing partial differential equations are transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations. The Hankel Transformation is used to solve these equations numerically. The effects of representing parameters on the fluid phase and particle phase velocity flow are investigated in this analysis. The magnitude of the fluid particle is reduced significantly. The result indicates the magnitude of the particle reduced significantly. Although some of our numerical solutions agree with some of the available results in the literature review, other results differs because of the effect of the introduced magnetic field.
