        The Analysis of the Risk of Metabolic Syndrome and Physical Activity Participation in Stroke Patients: The National Health and Nutrition Survey (8th, 2019-2021)

        OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study is to find out the correlation with the risk of metabolic syndrome in stroke patients using KNHNES data. METHODS The raw data from the 1st to 3rd years of the 8th National Health and Nutrition Survey (KNHANES) were used, and 290 stroke patients aged 60 or older (109 in 2019, 89 in 2020, 92 in 2021) were selected out of 22.559 participants. The average and standard deviation of the subjects' general characteristics were presented, the risk of stroke patients and metabolic syndrome and related variables were analyzed through Pearson’s correlation analysis(p<.05). RESULTS Men's fasting blood glucose was correlated with triglycerides (r=.175, p<.05), and HDL cholesterol was correlated with triglycerides (r=.-266, p<.05). Women's waist circumference was correlated with blood glucose (r=.321, p<.001), hypertension (r=.195, p<.05), and HDL cholesterol (r=.-205, p<.001). Fasting blood glucose was correlated with HDL cholesterol (r=.-265, p<.001) and triglyceride (r=.340, p<.001). HDL cholesterol was correlated with triglycerides (r=.-332, p<.001) and hypertension (r=.-195, p<.05). CONCLUSIONS In summary, the major independent factors for the risk of metabolic syndrome in stroke patients were triglyceride in men and fasting blood glucose and hypertension in women.

        Strongly Superhydrophobic Silicon Nanowires by Supercritical CO₂Drying

        This paper reports on the extremely superhydrophobic behavior of supercritical CO₂ processed silicon nanowires (SiNWs) with a contact angle in excess of ~177°. Vertically aligned silicon nanowires with 10 nm to 40nm diameter and 1 mm to 3 mm in length were obtained by electroless etching (EE) technique. The asfabricated SiNWs were superhydrophilic with no water droplet formation (zero contact angle), and were then completely transformed to an extreme superhydrophobic state when their nanoscale surface roughness is combined with trichlorosilane hydrophobic coating. The processed SiNW array was so hydrophobic that water droplets always bounced off the surface and did not allow contact angle measurements to be obtained unless the substrate was intentionally given a concave-curvature by vacuum suction. Utilization of a hydrophobically surface-treated micro-pipette syringe enabled the release of a water droplet onto this extremely superhydrophobic surface for contact angle measurement. To prevent severe nanowire agglomeration during the drying process of wet etched SiNWs, supercritical CO₂ drying was utilized, which process significantly improved the nano configuration and enhanced hydrophobicity.

        공기연장으로 인한 추가간접비 중 본사관리비의 보전에 관한 연구– 미국의 논의 및 우리나라 국가계약에의 적용 가능성을 중심으로 -

        If the payment of indirect expenses decreases due to the delay of the performance, the contractor can no longer absorb the home-office overhead with the income of the project during the delay period. Instead, the contractor must cover it with his other income. This leaves the contractor unnecessarily spending an additional amount of money on home-office overhead that is spent on fixed costs during the delay period. In the United States, the government is obliged to compensate contractors for unabsorbed home-office overhead in the event of delay caused by the government. Then, Eichleay formula is used to calculate the amount of home-office overhead cost to be recovered. There is no court judgment on this issue yet in Korea. However, it is likely to meet the actual requirements for price adjustment under Government contract law and contract conditions in Korea. Meanwhile, the legal nature of price adjustment clause due to the extension of period can be understood as either statutory/contractual special provisions for regulating government’s violation of contracts, or provisions that allocates the risk of additional costs that may arise during the extended period. The actual expenses subject to the price adjustment shall be calculated by compiling several indirect facts through direct or analog application of Article 202-2 of the Civil Procedure Act. Eichleay formula could be used as an important indirect fact to determine the approximate amount subject to adjustment. 공기지연으로 간접비 수입이 감소하게 될 경우, 계약상대방으로서는 지연기간 동안 더 이상 당해 프로젝트의 간접비 수입으로 본사관리비를 충당할 수 없고, 대신 이를 자신의 다른 수입으로 충당하여야만 한다. 이로써 계약상대방은 지연기간 동안에 고정비로 지출되는 본사관리비조의 금원만큼을 불필요하게 추가 지출하게 되는 상황에 놓인다. 이에 미국에서는 정부 원인으로 공기지연이 발생한 경우 정부가 계약상대방에게 미충당 본사관리비를 보전해 줄 의무가 있다는 입장을 견지해오고 있으며, 에이클리 산정법을 이용해 보전할 본사관리비의 수액을 산정하고 있다. 우리나라에서는 아직까지 이에 관한 법원의 판단이 존재하지 않는데, 우리나라 국가계약법령 및 계약조건의 해석에 따르더라도 계약금액 조정을 위한 실체적 요건에 부합할 가능성이 높다. 한편 공기연장으로 인한 계약금액 조정 규정의 법적 성격을 국가의 계약 위반 국면을 규율하기 위한 법령상·계약상 특칙이자, 계약당사자 사이에 연장된 이행기 동안에 발생할 수 있는 추가비용의 위험을 배분한 규정으로 이해할 때, 계약금액 조정의 대상이 되는 구체적인 실비는 민사소송법 제202조의2 직접 또는 유추적용을 통해 여러 간접사실을 종합하여 산정할 수 있다. 이 경우 미국에서 통용되는 에이클리 산정법이 조정 대상이 되는 대략적 금액을 산정하기 위한 중요 간접사실로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

        군용항공기 감항 상호인정 정책에 관한 연구

        Because of its unique ordnance or operational requirements, military aircraft has potential risks different from civil aircraft. This explains why there is no global document for military airworthiness and each nation has its own sovereign authority. But harmonized airworthiness activities among authorities are required to reduce cost and time for recent multinational programs. In this study, we show the airworthiness policy of the European Military Airworthiness Authorities and U.S. DOD Authorities which facilitate recognition of certificates and approvals issued by any other authorities. And we propose future works for Korea military airworthiness society to develop organizational recognition system.

        Cu/Ni/Polyimide 시스템의 접착력 및 계면화학반응

        The magnetron sputtering was used to deposit Ni buffer layers on the polyimide surfaces to increase the adhesion strength between Cu thin films and polyimide as well as to prevent Cu diffusion into the polyimide. The Ni layer thickness was varied from 100 to $400{\AA}$. The adhesion strength increased rather significantly up to $200{\AA}$ of Ni thickness, however, there was no significant increase in strength over $200{\AA}$. The XPS analysis revealed that Ni thin films could increase the adhesion strength by reacting with the polar C=O bonds on the polyimide surface and also it could prevent Cu diffusion into the polyimide. The Cu/Ni/ polyimide multilayer thin films showed a high stability even at the high heating temperature of $200^{\circ}C$, however, at the temperature of $300^{\circ}C$, Cu diffused through the Ni buffer layer into polyimide, resulting in the drastic decrease in adhesion strength.

        기록 종목 선수들의 연령대별 손상 실태 조사연구

        PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to investigate the current injury status and traits, including damage area, cause of damage based on the situation, and type of occurrence by age group for middle and high schools, university, and professional athletes, in record competition sports (swimming, track and field, and weightlifting). METHODS The study included 503 athletes enrolled in the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee in 2020, and an online survey was conducted using the R statistical program. RESULTS Approximately 38.4% athletes suffered injuries with weightlifting (0.81 times at university) and weightlifting (7.02 times at university) during training. The lower extremities were the most affected areas in all age groups (53.8% in middle school, 48.6% in high school, 44.4% in university, and 47.4% in professional). The causes of damage found to occur most frequently were ‘lack of physical strength, overuse or lack of rest, and recurrence’ and external factors, including ‘facility programs and weather problems.’ The results showed that internal factors during training were mostly associated with ‘overuse or lack of rest and excessive attempts at skills’, while external factors were found to occur in ‘weather problems’. According to the classification of each event, the top priority of frequent damage according to the damaged area was skin bleeding of the head in swimming and muscle inflammation in the torso and upper and lower extremities. Track and field resulted in muscle inflammation in the head, torso, and upper and lower extremities. Weightlifting caused damage to the head and torso, resulted in spinal diseases (disc, spinal stenosis, etc.), and muscle inflammation in the upper and lower extremities. CONCLUSIONS This study highlighted changes in the training environment and training environment, including level-specific physical training, reinforcement programs, scientific access to specific skills, sufficient rest and recovery, and continuous improvement of facilities and equipment.

        A Study on the Trend of the Prevalence of Patients with Rotary cuff Syndrome, Adhesive Capsulitis, and Multiple Shoulder Diseases

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the prevalence of rotator cuff syndrome and adhesive capsulitis, which are common shoulder diseases, and use them as basic data for the development of prevention and exercise treatment programs. The subjects of the study used data provided by the Health Review and Assessment Service (HIRA) for five years from 2018 to 2022 to investigate major shoulder diseases (adhesive capsulitis, rotator cuff syndrome, bicipital tendinitis, calcific tendinitis, impingement syndrome, bursitis of shoulder, other shoulder lesions, shoulder lesions unspecified) in men and women aged 0 to 80 years or older and analyze the prevalence of frequent shoulder diseases. As a result of the study, it was found that rotator cuff syndrome and adhesive capsulitis are multiple shoulder diseases, and the prevalence of both musculoskeletal diseases was higher in people aged 40 to 79 compared to other age groups, and the prevalence was higher in people in their 80s or older compared to the small population. Additionally, the prevalence rate was found to be higher in women compared to men. Finally, the prevalence of multiple shoulder diseases will be analyzed and used as data for exercise methods and program development for prevention and treatment.
