        Understanding load patterns and customer classification is a basic step in analyzing the behavior of electricity consumers. To achieve that, there have been many researches about clustering customers' daily load data. Nowadays, the deployment of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and big-data technologies make it easier to study customers' load data. In this paper, we study load clustering from the view point of yearly and daily load pattern. We compare four clustering methods; K-means clustering, hierarchical clustering (average & Ward's method) and DBSCAN (Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise). We also discuss the relationship between clustering results and Korean Standard Industrial Classification that is one of possible labels for customers' load data. We find that hierarchical clustering with Ward's method is suitable for clustering load data and KSIC can be well characterized by daily load pattern, but not quite well by yearly load pattern.

        항정신병 약물에 의한 체중 증가와 Leptin 유전자의 연합 연구

        Objectives : Leptin, the product of ob gene, is secreted by adipocytes and signals the size of peripheral fat stores to the brain. Several evidences indicate that a polymorphism in the promoter region (-2548A/G) of leptin gene is associated with antipsychotics-induced weight gain. This study aims at investigating the association between the -2548A/G polymorphism of leptin gene and antipsychotics-induced weight gain in Korean schizophrenia patients. Methods : Seventy one patients with schizophrenia were recruited. All of the subjects were antipsychotics-naïve or free of antipsychotic drugs for the previous 3 months. Genotyping was done for the -2548A/G polymorphism of leptin gene. Body mass index (BMI) was measured at baseline, after 4 weeks and after 8 weeks of antipsychotic drug treatment. The subjects were grouped on the basis of the presence or absence of the G allele (AA vs. AG/GG) and two-sided t tests for independent samples was used to analyze the relationship between two genotype groups and BMI change. And a chi-square analysis was conducted to test the association between the allele type and BMI change. Results : We could not find any association between the -2548A/G polymorphism of leptin gene and antipsychotics-induced weight gain. Conclusion : Our data do not support the involvement of the -2548A/G polymorphism of leptin gene in antipsychotics-induced weight gain in the acute treatment phase. 본 연구는 렙틴 유전자의 -2548A/G 유전자다형성과 치료 초기의 항정신병 약물에 의한 체중 증가 사이의 관련성을 발견할 수 없었다. 앞으로 상기의 유전자 다형성과 장기간의 항정신병 약물 치료에 따르는 체중 증가와의 관련성에 대한 검증이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

        Cytochrome P450 효소군의 유전자형 분석이 항우울제 선택에 도움을 준 주요우울장애 환자의 사례 연구

        We present a case of 34-year-old female patient with major depressive disorder who had decreased metabolic activity of CYP2D6. Low dosage regimen of mirtazapine & paroxetine led to unexpectedly severe adverse effects and noncompliance in this case with genotype CYP2D6 *1/*5. Antidepressant change to imipramine with consideration of the genotyping resulted with tolerable adverse effects and remission of depression. This case suggests the clinical usefulness of pharmacogenetic testing in individualized antidepressant treatments.

        조현병 관련 주요 일간지 기사에 대한 텍스트 마이닝 분석

        OBJECTIVES In this study, we conducted an exploratory analysis of the current media trends on schizophrenia using text-mining methods. METHODS First, web-crawling techniques extracted text data from 575 news articles in10 major newspapers between 2018 and 2019, which were selected by searching “schizophrenia” in the Naver News. We had developed document-term matrix (DTM) and/or term-document matrix (TDM) through pre-processing techniques. Through the use of DTM and TDM, frequency analysis, cooccurrence network analysis, and topic model analysis were conducted. RESULTS Frequency analysis showed that keywords such as “police,” “mental illness,” “admission,” “patient,” “crime,” “apartment,” “lethal weapon,” “treatment,” “Jinju,” and “residents” were frequently mentioned in news articles on schizophrenia. Within the article text, many of these keywords were highly correlated with the term “schizophrenia” and were also interconnected with each other in the co-occurrence network. The latent Dirichlet allocation model presented 10 topics comprising a combination of keywords: “police-Jinju,” “hospital-admission,” “research-finding,” “care-center,” “schizophrenia-symptom,” “society-issue,” “family-mind,” “woman-school,” and “disabled-facilities.” CONCLUSION The results of the present study highlight that in recent years, the media has been reporting violence in patients with schizophrenia, thereby raising an important issue of hospitalization and community management of patients with schizophrenia.

        조현병 환자의 생애 특질로서 평가된 증상차원과 인지기능 및 다른 임상 특성의 연관성

        Objectives : Considering large diversity of clinical presentation of schizophrenia, it is important to identify valid clinical subtypes or dimensions that might have homogeneous biological underpinning. The current study aimed to explore lifetime symptom-based dimensional phenotypes in patients with chronic schizophrenia, and to investigate their correlation with cognitive functions and other clinical characteristics. Methods : Lifetime-based symptoms and additional clinical variables were measured using the Diagnostic Interview for Genetic Studies and the Schedule for the Deficit Syndrome in 315 clinically stable patients with chronic schizophrenia. Through principal components factor analysis, eight dimensional phenotypes were obtained. Comprehensive neuropsychological tests were administered for 103 out of 315 patients, and domain scores were calculated for cognitive domains defined in the MATRICS consensus battery. Results : ‘Non-paranoid delusion factor’ including delusions of grandiose or religious nature, showed significant negative correlation with processing speed, working memory, attention/vigilance, and general cognitive ability, and positive correlation with intra-individual variability. ‘Negative symptom factor’ showed significant negative correlation only with general cognitive ability. Those two factors were also negatively correlated with function levels measured by Global Assessment Scale (GAS), and associated with poor treatment responses. Conclusion : Symptom-based dimensional phenotypes of schizophrenia measured on a lifetime basis showed discriminative correlation with cognitive function domains, global functioning level, and overall treatment responses, indicating their possibility as valid phenotype axes of schizophrenia having homogeneous biologic basis.

        세로토닌/도파민 길항성 항 정신병약물을 복용하는 정신분열병 환자에서 체중 증가와 세로토닌 2C 수용체 유전자 다형성의 관련성

        Objectives: Several lines of pharmacological evidences including the data of animal studies indicate that serotonin 2C receptor(5HT2C) is involved in the pharmacodynamic process of serotonin dopamine antagonists (SDA)-induced weight gain. Controversial data have been reported on the association between the polymorphisms of 5HT2C receptor gene and antipsychotics-induced weight gain. This study aims at investigating the association between the polymorphisms of 5HT2C receptor gene and SDA-induced weight gain in korean schizophrenic patients. Methods: Seventy-seven schizophrenia patients in their first episode or patients who did not take any antipsychotics for the previous two months were recruited. All the patients were administered with one of the SDAs(risperidone, olanzapine, quetiapine,clozapine) for 8weeks. Body mass index(BMI) were measured weekly during the 8weeks. The subjects were genotyped for the -759C/T and -697G/C polymorphism of the 5HT2C receptor gene. Results: The degree of linkage disequilibrium between the two polymorphic loci genotyped are almost 100%. Significant association was not observed between polymorphisms of the 5HT2C receptor gene(-759C/T and -697G/C) and SDA-induced weight gain after 8 weeks of treatment. Conclusions: Our data do not support the involvement of the polymorphisms of 5HT2C receptor gene(-759C/T and -697G/C) in SDA- induced weight gain. Further studies with sufficient sample size are warranted to follow up on the trend of high weight gain in the male patients having -759 T (-697 C) allele.
