For mechanical system operating at high temperature, damage due to the interaction effect of creep and fatigue plays an important role. The objective of this paper is to develop a modified creep-fatigue damage model which separately analyzes the pure creep damage for hold time and the creep-fatigue interaction damage during startup and shutdown period. The creep damage was calculated by the general creep damage equation and the creep-fatigue interaction damage was calculated by the modified equation which is based on the frequency modified strain range method with strain rate term. In order to verify the proposed model, a service of high temperature low cycle fatigue tests were performed. The test specimens were made from inconel-718 superalloy and the test parameters were wave shape and hold time. A good agreement between the predicted lives based on the proposed model and experimentally obtained ones was observed.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the autonomic nervous system and the cold-heat pattern in patients with chronic constipation. Methods : Subjects with chronic constipation (n=30) and without chronic constipation (n=20) were recruited, interviewed and measured for heart rate variability (HRV). Chronic constipation was defined as functional constipation and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) with constipation based on Rome III criteria. We surveyed patients' general characteristics, categorized by cold-heat pattern, and took measurement of HRV for 5 minutes. Analysis was conducted among these three indices. Results : Women accounted for most of the subjects with chronic constipation (96.7%). In groups with or without constipation, the number of cold patterns was more than of heat patterns. The mean heart rate of subjects without chronic constipation was significantly higher than that of subjects with chronic constipation. No other statistical significance was noted among indices of HRV and cold-heat pattern. Conclusions : Through this study, there were few relationships between autonomic nervous system measured by HRV and cold-heat pattern in chronic constipation.

This study aims at understanding patterns of changes in the relationship between the state and religions and at pursuing policies to establish a desirable relationship between them in a diversified society by analyzing trends in the religious policies of the governments of the six Republics (1st therough 6th). These goals will be achieved through an examination of publications of the Administration and formal publications of religious denominations and, on occasion, through interviews with public servants concerned and clergymen. From a historical points of view, the relationship between politics and religions is characterized as of the following three types. The first type is characterized by an inseparable tie between politics and religion, the second by one utilizing or dominating the other, and the third by there being some tension between the two. In view of these types, modem countries can be classified according to their religious policies into, (a) those countries which separate politics and religion (such as the United States. France, Japan, and Italy since 1984), (b) those countries which take a particular religion as the state religion (such as the United Kingdom, Spain, Thai, and Arab countries), and (c) those countries which recognize no religions whatsoever (most of communist countries). The relationship between politics and religion in Korea had wavered for a long time until it got stated explicitly in the Constitution promulgated on July 17, 1948. Article 12 of the Constitution goes: "All citizens have the freedom of religion and of conscience. There is no such thing as the religion of the state: Religion is separated from politics. " The details of the separation stated in the Constitution are: (a) denial of the existence of the state religion, (b) ban on patronizing or discriminating against (a) particular religion(s), (c) ban on religious education by the state, (d) restriction on intervention in politics by religious bodies, and (e) recognition of religious bodies' autonomy. It is true that the governmental policies on religion so far have been identified with short-sighted and improvisational guidelines as a result of the failure to recognize the multi-religious situation, a phenomenon peculiar to the Korean society. The government has maintained different relationships with different religions depending on pol i tical situation, it has supported those particular religious bodies which have been supportive of governmental policies while staying away from or banning those which have been critical or unsupportive. Thus, this kind of nonuniform religious policies brought about the situation where the government built special relationships with individual religions. This course of actions taken by the government not only are against the constitutional principle of the separation between politics and religion, but also resulted in the nonexistence of religious policies.

본 고에서는 TDX-10 전자교환기의 집중 운용 보전 업무를 신속하고 효율적으로 관리할 수 있도록 개발된 TDX-10 집중 운용 보전 시스팀(MOST : Maintenance & Operation System for TDX-10)에 대한 개발 배경 및 시스팀 구성, 집중 운용 보전을 위한 분석 기능, 향후 추세 및 개발되어야 할 사항등에 대하여 간략히 기술한다. 이는 전자교환기로 부터 발생되는 경보, 장애 및 상태등의 유지보수에 관련된 메시지들을 일괄적으로 수집, 분류 및 저장하고, 저장된 메시지들을 이용하여 메시지 검색 및 분석을 수행하며, 또한 실시간으로 교환기 경보의 집중 감시 기능을 수행하여 그래픽과 도표로 표현해주므로써 시스팀에 수용된 다수의 전자 교환기에 대한 총체적인 운용보전 현황 파악의 효율을 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다.

N/A Chitosan and Algin are known as a natural polymers. Biodegradable films were prepared by solution blend method in the weight ratio of natural polymer(low, medium, high-Chitosan, Algin) for the purpose of useful bioimplants. The possibility of bioimplants, which were prepared from natural polymers as a skin substitute and food wrapping materials were evaluated by measuring biodegradability. This biodegradable films were inserted in the back of rats and their biodegradability was investigated by hematological change evaluation as a function of time to biotransformation. It was found that these values of biodegradable films give some good results with short period test.

This paper describes the development strategy and contents of a fatigue life evaluation system, FLEVA. The system is comprised of 4 parts ; Material properties, load histories, cycle counting and life prediction. The cycle counting is based on the rain -flow counting method and peak counting method, and the life prediction is performed based on the linear damage rule. Material properties( static, fatigue) are also provided as a database obtained by a computer aided test system. Case studies are performed to verify the developed program.
