      • 실내 위치 측위를 통한 D2D 통신 성공 확률 (Opportunity Probability) 측정 및 예측

        본 논문에서는 실내 측위를 진행하고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 D2D 통신 성공 확률인 Opportunity probability (OP)를 예측 및 측정하여 그 값을 비교하는 실험을 소개한다. 실내 측위를 위해서 스마트폰의 관성 측위 센서와 이를 보정하기 위한 딥러닝 네트워크, 그리고 WiFi RTT를 융합한 측위 기법이 사용되었다. 그 결과 OP값을 중위값 90% 이상으로 예측하는 데 성공하였다.

        한약의 안전성 등급화를 위한 evidence-based approach : Human equivalent dose-based the margin of safety

        This study was aimed to develop a new formula for herbal medicine-safety classification in terms of evidence-based medicine. Recently, human equivalent dose(HED)-based therapeutic index was developed for herbal medicine-safety classification by transforming $LD_{50}$ to HED. However, the use of the $ED_{50}$ and $LD_{50}$ to derive the therapeutic index may be misleading as to safety, depending on the slope of the dose-response curves for therapeutic and lethal effects. To overcome this deficiency, HED-based MOS(Margin of Safety)was developed and suggested in this study. The HED-based MOS developed by using $LD_1$, changing to ALD(approximate lethal dose), and $ED_{99}$. The HED-based MOS seems to be more useful and safer than HED-based therapeutic index since its values for several herbal medicines are basically two times less than the values from HED-based therapeutic index. Thus, HED-based MOS can be a good example of Evidence-based approach for herbal medicine-safety classification.

        육미지황탕(환)의 약리와 독성에 대한 문헌고찰

        Objectives : Yukmijihwang-tang(Wan), a well-known formula for invigorating yin-particular kidney yin, was first recorded in "Xiao er Yao Zheng Zhi Jue", consisting of Radix Rehmanniae Preparata, Fructus Macrocarpii, Rhizoma Dioscoreae Oppositae, Poria, Rhizoma Alismatis and Cortex Moutan Radicis with dose proportion of 8:4:4:3:3:3. Although clinical trials have been lacking, various pharmacological actions for Yukmijihwang-tang has been identified newly using animal models. In addition, it was reported that Yukmijihwang-tang increases structural chromosome aberrations significantly in Chinese hamster lung cells. In this article, it is purposed that new studies for pharmacology and toxicology of Yukmijihwang-tang are reviewed. Insight into new studies of Yukmijihwang-tang at the cellular and animal levels will enhance our understanding of Yukmijihwang-tang against various diseases will provide new tools to diagnose and treat patients. Methods : Recent researches for Yukmijihwang-tang were reviewed and summarized in terms of pharmacological action and toxicity. All sources for review were based on recent studies loaded on data base of web sites such as Science Direct and National Center for Biotechnology Information. Results and Conclusions : Recently, reports showed that YMJ had antiaging effects, antioxidant and free radical scavenging activities, anti-renal hypertension and prevented tumors, and diabetes mellitus. However, there is little information on its safety except general toxicity, acute and sub-chronic oral toxicity, or genotoxicity. In addition, clinical trial for Yukmijihwang-tang was limited even though Yukmijihwang-tang has been used extensively in Korean traditional medicine. Thus, further studies are necessary to focus on safety evaluation and clinical trial for Yukmijihwang-tang.

        A phase 1/2a, dose-escalation, safety and preliminary efficacy study of oral therapeutic vaccine in subjects with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia 3

        Objective: Persistent infection of HPV increases the chance of carcinoma in situ of cervixthrough stages of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) 1, 2, and 3, and finally progressesinto cervical cancer. We aimed to explore the safety and efficacy of BLS-M07 which is orallyadministered agent expressing human papillomavirus (HPV) 16 E7 antigen on the surface ofLactobacillus casei in patients with CIN 3. Methods: Patients with CIN 3 were recruited in our clinical trial. Reid Colposcopic Index(RCI) grading and serum HPV16 E7 specific antibody production were used to evaluateefficacy of BLS-M07. In phase 1, BLS-M07 was administered orally, 5 times a week, on weeks1, 2, 4, and 8 with dosages of 500 mg, 1,000 mg, and 1,500 mg. In phase 2a, patients weretreated with 1,000 mg. The primary endpoints were the safety and the pathologic regressionon colposcopic biopsy. Results: Nineteen patients were enrolled in the CIN 3 cohort. In phase 1, no patientsexperienced dose limiting toxicity. No grade 3 or 4 treatment-related adverse events or deathswere observed. At 16 weeks after treatment, RCI grading was improved and serum HPV16E7 specific antibody production increased (p<0.05). Six of 8 (75%) patients with CIN 3 werecured in phase 2a. Conclusions: Oral immunization with BLS-M07 increases production of serum HPV16 E7specific antibody which induces protective humoral immunity. The safety of this oral vaccinewas proved and could be a competitive non-surgical therapeutic agent of CIN 3. Trial Registration: ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT02195089

        시스템생물학의 한의학적 응용

        In Korea and China, traditional medicine's holistic approaches, based on the views of whole-body and whole-person, have been applied to make the solution of health problem. However, these holistic approaches of traditional korea or chinese medicine have been limited in interpreting their theories in a view of modern scientific aspects of medicine. This limitation seems to be mainly due to the reductionism approaches of modern scientific medicine. Traditionally, science has taken a reductionism approach; dissecting biological systems into their constituent parts and studying them in isolation. However, systems biology based on omics technologies is providing a new thought and method for traditional medicine's research and interpretation. Systems biology uses integrity study as the characteristic and bioinformatic technology as the key method for connecting reductionism and holism. Therefore, it has much in common with the theory of traditional medicine. It was reviewed that how systems biology is applied to traditional medicine in Korea and China. Also it was suggested that more future researches on interpretation between traditional medicine and systems biology must be focused on personalized medicine since systems biology will have a major impact on future personalized therapeutic approaches.

        적외선 체열 촬영을 이용한 중풍(中風) 편마비(片痲痺) 환자(患者)의 합곡혈(合谷穴) 일반 자침시(刺針時)와 심자시(深刺時) 피부온도변화(皮膚溫度變化) 관찰(觀察)

        Objective : This study designed to find out the effects of deep acupuncture in cerebrovascular hemiplegia. Methods : This study was performed on 30 patients with cerebrovascular hemiplegia to observe difference in temperature of skin surface between general acupuncture and deep acupuncture at Hapkok using digital infrared thermographic imaging(D.I.T.I.) Results : 1. Temperature of paralytic side is sigficantly higer $0.39{\pm}0.78^{\circ}C$ than that of contralateral side. 2. Thermal difference(${\Delta}T$) of paralytic side-contralateral side decreased $0.08{\pm}0.53^{\circ}C$ after general acupuncture, but there is no significant. $0.20{\pm}0.50^{\circ}C$ after deep acupuncture decreased significantly. So deep acupuncture is more effective than general acupuncture. 3. Thermal difference of paralytic side-paralytic side and contralateral side-contralateral side decreased significantly after acupuncture, and thermal difference of deep acupuncture on paralytic side-paralytic side decreased $0.42{\pm}1.07^{\circ}C$ more than that of general acupuncture. So deep acupuncture is more effective than general acupuncture. Conclusions: This study showed that deep acupuncture is more effective than general acupuncture In cerebrovascular hemiplegia, and further study is needed on clinical trials.

        일부 동물성 한약재의 독성과 안전성등급화 - 봉독, 사독, 반묘와 오공을 중심으로 -

        Objectives : About 13% of the medicines used by traditional korean medicines(TKM), are called animal medicines and are derived from non-herbal sources such as animals and insects. However, the clinical use of these preparations from animal medicines is often based on tradition and belief, rather than on evidence of toxicity and efficacy. As a result, animal medicines containing toxin have caused serious problems from injecting patients with venom. Here, various venoms frequently used as TKM were reviewed in terms of their instinct toxity and tried to estimate their safety classification. Methods : The estimation of safety classification was based on human equivalent dose(HED)-based MOS (margin of safety) and clinical dose applied for patients. Results and Conclusions : Except that of snake venom due to no clinical dose, they were evaluated as class 3 for bee venom, class 4 for cantharidin, toxin from blister beetle, and class 1 for venom from scolopendrid. In conclusion, animal medicines showed a wide range of safety classification from class 1 to class 4. This wide range is estimated to result from extremely limited applications of each venom for patients because of their strong toxicity. However, it should be cautious for application in clinics since animal medicines can produce anaphylactic reactions particularly after veinous administration even with a tiny amount of venom.

        한약의 약물상호작용 기전과 연구방향 - 독성학적인 측면을 중심으로 -

        Objectives : The mechanisms for korean traditional medicine-drug interaction has not been well reviewed in spite that the chance for co-administration with western drugs or diet supplements has been increased. Especially, it is well known that various cytochrome P450s play a major role in drug-drug interaction. Of course, Korean traditional medicines is not excluded in a view of metabolism or biotransformation by cytochrome P450. This article was focused on reviewing the possible roles of cytochrome P450 in Korean traditional medicine-drug interaction, Also, the directions for further studies were suggested in terms of Korean traditional medicine-drug interaction. Methods : New studies for korean traditional medicine-drug interaction were reviewed and summarized in terms of cytochrome P450 activities by various Korean traditional medicines and western drugs. Results and Conclusions : Even if a few studies related to Korean traditional medicine-drug interactions was carried out, almost no studies for Korean traditional medicine-drug interactions has been found in a view of cytochrome P450. It was suggested that Korean traditional medicines and their decoction should be analyzed that how they effects on cytochrome P450, expecially CYP 1, 2, 3 families and how they interact with western drugs.
