Purpose: To analyze the correlation between RNFL thickness changes measured by OCT and hemifield pattern VEP in hemianopic visual field loss. Methods: Twelve eyes of six patients with hemianopia were studied. Two patients had bitemporal hemianopia caused by chiasmal tumor, one patient had inferior hemianopia caused by traumatic optic neuropathy, and three patients had homonymous hemianopia caused by occipital lobe lesions. The retinal nerve fiber layer thickness around the optic disc was measured by optical coherence tomography (OCT) and visual pattern evoked potentials were measured using hemifield stimulations. Results: Normal eyes of traumatic optic neuropathy patients were excluded from the analysis. The retinal nerve fiber layer thickness as measured by OCT corresponded to the visual field defect in 9 of 11 eyes (81.8%) and the hemifield pattern VEP response corresponded to visual field defect in 7 of 11 eyes (63.6%). Conclusions: RNFL thickness measurement by OCT and hemifield PVEP are useful in evaluation of patients with hemianopia. However, they should be performed with caution, and compared with various clinical examinations because of their incomplete correlation with visual field defects. 신도시 주민의 공원 이용에 대한 만족도 분석에 관한 연구

본 연구는 분당·일산·평촌 신도시 지역의 주민들을 대상으로 공원이용에 대한 만족도를 조사한 것이다. 만족도에 대한 분석은 공원자원의 보전과 효용을 제고하고 물리적·기능적·사회적·심리적 요소에 대한 행태를 수용하여 공원이용에 대한 주민의 만족을 증대시키며, 향후 신도시개발에 필요한 공원조성을 위하여 실증적 자료를 제공하기 위하여 연구하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 전문가 중요도 조사결과는 안전성, 보건성, 쾌적성, 자연친화성, 편리성 순으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 요소별 중요도(가중치)의 비중은 기능적 요소, 심리적 요소, 물리적 요소, 사회적 요소로 조사되었다. 셋째, 신도시 주민의 공원이용에 대한 만족도 조사에서는 평촌, 일산, 분당 순으로 분석되었다. 끝으로 중요도의 비중에 대한 요인을 중심으로 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과 결정계수가 일산(42%), 평촌(39%),분당(32%)순으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과로 볼 때 신도시개발에 있어서 공원조성계획은 적절하게 이루어진 것으로 향후 공원조성 계획시 벤치마킹의 적용범위가 클 것으로 판단된다.

Recently, the occurrence of landslides has been increasing over the years due to the extreme weather event. Developments of landslides monitoring technology that reduce damage caused by landslide are urgently needed. Therefore, in this study, a strain ratio sensor was developed to predict the ground behavior during the slope failure, and the change in surface ground displacement was observed as slope failed on the field model experiment. As a result, in the slope failure, the ground displacement process increases the risk of collapse as the inverse displacement approaches zero. It is closely related to the prediction of precursor. In all cases, increase in displacement and reverse speed of inverse displacement with time was observed during the slope failure, and it is very important event for monitoring collapse phenomenon of risky slopes. In the future, it can be used as disaster prevention technology to contribute in reduction of landslide damage and activation of measurement industry.
유기 물질을 사용한 구리박막의 건식 식각에 대한 헥사플루오로이소프로판올 첨가의 영향

Dry etching of copper thin films is performed using high density plasma of ethylenediamine (EDA)/hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP)/Ar gas mixture. The etch rates, etch selectivities and etch profiles of the copper thin films are improved by adding HFIP to EDA/Ar gas. As the EDA/HFIP concentration in EDA/HFIP/Ar increases, the etch rate of copper thin films decreases, whereas the etch profile is improved. In the EDA/HFIP/Ar gas mixture, the optimal ratio of EDA to HFIP is investigated. In addition, the etch parameters including ICP source power, dc-bias voltage, process pressure are varied to examine the etch characteristics. Optical emission spectroscopy results show that among all species, [CH], [CN] and [H] are the main species in the EDA/HFIP/Ar plasma. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results indicate the formation of CuCN compound and C-N-H-containing polymers during the etching process, leading to a good etch profile. Finally, anisotropic etch profiles of the copper thin films patterned with 150 nm scale are obtained in EDA/HFIP/Ar gas mixture.

It is significant to redevelop the deterioration reservoir through raising for countermeasure to climate change and Earthquake improvement of reservoir. This study aims to investigate the behavior of deterioration reservoir with poor-fabricated core subjected to raising water level and earthquake using numerical analysis. From the analysis results, water level raising and earthquakes induce crack and subsidences at the crown and the front side of deterioration reservoir. For the reinforcement of the deterioration reservoir is required appropriate measures method and raised method suitable, drainage and slope protection method judged to be necessary.

Esophageal duplication cyst is very rare mediastinal tumor which is congenital lesion of the esophagus. Esophageal duplication cyst could be excised with video assisted thoracoscopic surgery(VATS) if it is relatively small, cystic lesion and not adhered severely to the surrounding tissues such as lung, trachea, bronchus, esophagus and pleura. We report a case of an esophageal duplication cyst which was located in the right thoracic cavity below carina and could be excised completely and repaired by interrupted suture with 3.0 black silk. The patient was discharged at 10 days after operation with good condition and has been in uneventful condition 2 months after operation.
Bacillus subtilis BC-P1 균주를 이용하여 제조한 청국장의 발효 및 품질 특성분석

본 연구진은 청국장에서 수종의 미생물을 분리하였으며, 이중 소화 효소능이 뛰어난 균주를 선별하였으며, 유전학적 분석결과를 통해 본 균주가 Bacillus 속 균주임을 확인하고 Bacillus subtilis BC-P1이라 명명하였다. Bacillus subtilis BC-P1을 starter로 사용하여 청국장을 제조하였으며, protease, xylanase, chitinase activity, 혈전 분해능, 영양성분 분석 및 아미노산 분석을 통하여 B. subtilis BC-P1를 starter로 활용한 청국장 제품의 개선 가능성을 타진하였다. Bacillus subtilis BC-P1를 starter로 제조한 청국장은 기존 제품에 비해 우수한 소화효소 생성능을 보였으며, 특히 혈전분해효소 생성능이 우수함을 확인하였고, 대조군에 비해 증가된 환원당 및 총 아미노산 함량을 확인 할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 균주를 starter로 하여 청국장을 제조할 경우 기능성분, 생리활성의 증가, 품질 향상을 기대할 수 있을 것으로 판단되며, 향후 대규모 생산시 균주, 제조 조건에 관한 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. The object of this study was to improve the quality of Cheonggukjang with new starter, Bacillus subtilis BC-P1. Twenty strains were isolated from the commercial cheonggukjang and 1 Bacillus strain (BC-P1) with protease activity was selected. The 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed that the BC-P1 was closely related to B. subtilis with 99% homology. The quality characteristics of chunggukjang fermented with B. subtilis BC-P1, Bacillus nato (PC) and commercial chunggukjang (NC) were investigated. The characteristics of fermentation were determined by protease, lipase, xylanase, chitinase, and fibrinolytic activities, reducing sugar, nutrient composition and amino acid contents of cheonggukjang sample. Cheonggukjang fermented with B. subtilis BC-P1 showed the strongest fibrinolytic, xylanase, and chitinase activities. Reducung sugar contents of Cheonggukjang samples were $30.16{\pm}2.11$ mg/g (NC), $28.56{\pm}1.52$ mg/g (PC), $32.39{\pm}1.87$ mg/g (BC-P1). And their total amino acid contents were 338.99 mg% (NC), 445.19 mg% (PC), 741.35 mg% (BC-P1). These results suggested that B. subtilis BC-P1 was suitable to be used as a starter to enhance the quality and effects of cheonggukjang.

This research aims to utilize lapilli from the Mt. Baekdusan as environmently-friendly construction material. First of all, the neutralizing method for fabricating lapilli-cement-mixed bioblock was examined. And then, by use of the neuralized bioblock with microorganism for water purification, the growth inhibition effect against the pathogenic coliform bacillus was evaluated. The result regarding growth inhibition effect on pathogenic coliform bacillus indicates that the pretreatment condition, which is a concurrent procession with aqueous solution of 10% di-ammonium Phosphate after water curing, led to pH degraded below 10 which was the target value. Therefore it was concluded that the method was effective on bio-block neutralization. The microorganisms purifying water and di-ammonium phosphate were detected through the examination for microorganism existence on the bioblock, therefore it was concluded that the bioblock composed of lapilli and cement is able to be utilized in various structures as an environment friendly construction material.
