블룸버그(Bloomberg)를 이용한 한국기업의 자기자본비용추정에 대한 타당성 분석

This paper examines the relationship between diversification and financial performance ofcommunity credit unions in Korea from 2011 to 2017. To do so, I employ fixed-effects panelanalyses using credit union level panel data collected from the National Credit UnionFederation of Korea. This study finds evidence that business diversification is likely to lowerthe ratio of troubled loans, which means improving asset quality of credit unions. However,the relationship between diversification and asset quality is not linear but nonlinear, whichmeans over-diversification would have negative effects on asset quality. Next, diversificationtends to increase profitability. Specifically, although diversification results in a rise inexpenditures, an increase in profits made by diversification outweighs the rise in expenditures,which contributes to profitability. Put together, diversification would be a good businessstrategy to improve both profitability and asset quality. Given a result that fast loan growthdeteriorates asset quality, credit unions’ managers might adopt the diversification strategy toenhance asset quality, and not to pursue their own objectives motivated by moral hazards.

Thoroughbred 경주마의 경주능력에 대한 환경요인의 효과 및 유전분산 (遺傳分散) 추정

This study was undertaken using a total of 2,577 racing records of horses from September, 1989 to July, 1990 that collected at the K. H. A. A. (Korean Horse Affairs Association) to investigate effects of environmental factors and to estimate genetic variance for racing performance. Results obtained from this study were as follows. Horse`s age, racing number, track condition and racing season showed significant effects on racing time, and winner`s racing time was not appropriate environmental factor for mean racing time in Korea. Racing performance was the best when horse`s age was 3-4yr, racing number was l situated inside, moisture content was more than 16% in track and racing seasons were spring and winter. Estimates of σ²_e by Maximum Likelihood were smaller than those by Minimum Variance Quadratic Unbiased Estimation (MIVQUE). Adjustment for winner`s racing time reduced estimates of σ²_s, σ²_h, and σ²_e, especially, estimates of σ²_h, which were reduced by an average of about 1000% and estimates of repeatabilities were lower than those of heritabilities. Estimates of heritabilities and repeatabilities by nationality ranged from .13±.17 to .30±.20 and from .36±.07 to .52±.14, respectively. Pooled estimates of heritabilities and repeatabilities were .19±.13 and .42± .06 respectively.

중소벤처기업의 브랜드 구축을 위한 고객만족도 관리 전략: 아파트 건설산업을 중심으로

Since the financial crisis in East Asia, major construction companies have become dominant players in the Korean apartment market. Therefore, small and medium sized construction companies with relatively poor brand equity have experienced difficulties in competing with major ones. To overcome their weakness, small and medium sized companies make their own brands and started marketing activities aggressively including advertising through mass media. However, to overcome the current disadvantages compared to larger sized construction firms, the smaller construction firms should find a differentiated marketing strategy. We believe that the starting point of such strategic planning should be understanding the consumers and their needs. If the consumer needs of the small and medium sized construction firms are different from those of the larger sized firms, these differences should be used for the marketing strategy development. IMF 이후 국내 아파트 시장은 대기업 브랜드 아파트가 주도하고 있다. 상대적으로 브랜드 파워가 약한 중소기업의 아파트는 시장에서 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이를 타개하기 위해 중소업체는 대기업과 같이 브랜드를 만들고 많은 광고를 하고 있지만, 성공 가능성은 높지 않은 상황이다. 이러한 상황을 타개하기 위해서는 대기업 브랜드 아파트와 차별화된 마케팅 전략이 필요하다.본 연구는 분양률 제고를 위한 중소기업 아파트의 차별화 전략으로 고객만족도를 제안하였고, 구체적으로 어떠한 고객만족도가 긍정적 구전과 재구매 의도와 관련이 있는지를 대기업 아파트와 비교해서 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 구체적인 마케팅 전략을 도출하기 위해 전반적인 만족도가 아닌 구체적인 만족도를 측정하였다. 아파트 만족도는 선행연구, 전문가분석, 설문조사를 통해 6가지 차원을 도출하였다.분석 결과, 중소기업 아파트 거주자의 경우, A/S관련 만족도, 마감재 디자인 및 품질 만족도, 내부구조 만족도가 재구매 의도에 영향을 미쳤고, A/S관련 만족도, 내부구조 만족도, 입지 만족도, 시공상태 만족도가 긍정적인 구전에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그에 비해 대기업 아파트 거주자의 경우에는 내부구조 만족도, 공용시설 만족도가 재구매 의도 및 긍정적 구전에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 추가적으로 중소기업 아파트 거주자와 대기업 아파트 거주자의 만족도 차이를 분석해 본 결과, 중소기업 아파트 거주자는 시공상태에 대한 만족도는 높게 나타났으나, 입지 만족도는 낮은 것으로 나타났다.

국내 더러브렛 경주마의 유전능력평가

The objective of this study was to calculate genetic values of racehorses, genetic parameters, and the genetic trend for racing time of the Thoroughbred racehorses in Korea, using a total of 100,839 race records of 4,905 horses collected from 1990 to 1997. The effects of the contemporary groups account for the 50% of total variation of the racing time and it is the most important environmental effect in the model of genetic evaluation. Estimated average generation intervals of sire of son, sire of daughter, dam of son and dam of daughter were similar to each other and 10.84, 10.39, 10.16, and 10.39 years, respectively. The range of estimated heritabilities and repeatabilities for racing time were from 0.265 to 0.298 and from 0.354 to 0.449, respectively. The expectation of breeding value was zero, and distributed normally within the rages of from -2.441 to 2.082 seconds. The difference in the ability of riders between the worst and the best was about 0.8 second. Therefore, most riders seem to have a similar ability in racing time except for a few riders, depending on their number of years of experience and techniques. The average genetic improvement for racing time was 0.02 second per year, which is quite low. There is a great need to establish the genetic improvement program for racehorses in Korea.

부여 능산리사지(陵山里寺址) 8차 발굴조사 개요

국립부여박물관은 2002년 8월 12일부터 11월 30일까지 부여 능산리사지(陵山里寺址)에 대한 8차 발굴조사를 실시하였다. 능산리사지는 부여읍 중심지에서 동쪽으로 4km 가량 떨어진 곳에 위치하고 있으며, 유적이 자리한 곳은 능산리고분군과 부여 나성(羅城)사이의 곡간 충적지이다. 이 유적의 존재가 처음 알려진 것은 백제문화권개발계획(百濟文化圈開發計劃)의 일환으로 시행된 시굴조사에서이다. 이번 8차 조사에서 발굴된 지역은 중문지 서쪽과 6, 7차 발굴조사 구역 남쪽 부분이다. 조사를 실시한 목적은 수로에서 출토된 목간과 능산리사지와의 관계를 규명하고, 중심사역과 서배수로 축조시기, 사지 남쪽에 있을 가능성이 있는 연못지 등을 확인하기 위함이었다. 이를 위해 7차 발굴조사에서 목간이 출토된 수로에 대한 확장조사가 이루어졌으며, 그 결과 7차 조사 시 목간이 출토된 수로가 능산리사지보다 선행한 유구임을 확인할 수 있었다.

Ziziphus jujuba mill. Extract Promotes Myogenic Differentiation of C2C12 Skeletal Muscle Cells

Ziziphus jujuba Mill. (ZJM), a traditional folk medicine and functional food in South Korea and China, has been reported to having pharmacological activities against anti-cancer, anti-oxidative, and anti-obesity. However, the effect of ZJM related to myoblast differentiation has not been known. In this study, we investigated the effects and mechanism of ZJM on myogenic differentiation of C2C12 cells. ZJM promotes myogenic differentiation and elevates the formation of multinucleated myotube compared to the control group. ZJM significantly increased the mRNA and protein expression of MyHC1, myogenin and MyoD in dose- and time-dependent manner. Interestingly, ZJM significantly inhibited the mRNA and protein expression of protein degradation markers, atrogin-1 and MuRF-1, in dose- and time-dependent manner. Taken together, our data suggest that ZJM is a potential functional candidate for muscle growth and strength by promoting myogenic differentiation.
