Objectives : The aim of this study is to report the effect of herbal medicine and acupuncture on a breastfeeding woman's postpartum urticaria which was unresponsive to a 1st generation antihistamine and a topical steroid. Methods : Wheals and pruritus occurred to a 36-year-old breastfeeding woman 2 days after the parturition. Symptoms were unresponsive to about a week of systemic antihistamine and topical steroid treatments. GamiSamul-tang herbal decoction was administered three times a day for the first 21 days and twice a day for the next 10 days of the treatment. Acupuncture treatment was applied to 12 acupoints (both sides of LI04, LR03, ST36, LI11, SP10, SP6) for 15 minutes once a week, 5 times in total. The patient's symptom was evaluated with Weekly Urticaria Activity Scale (UAS7) and Visual Analogue Scale for Worst Pruritus within 24 hours ($VAS_{Pruritus}$) each time the patient visited out-patient department. Results : The scores of UAS7 and $VAS_{Pruritus}$ at the baseline were 38 and 8.2 respectively. 10 days after the herbal medicine and acupuncture treatment began, both decreased to 0 and wheal, pruritus, erythema didn't appeared again for the rest of the follow up periods. Conclusions : This study shows the possibility of using GamiSamul-tang and acupuncture to treat postpartum urticaria.

Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is the most common gastrointestinal emergency in the neonatal population. The aim of this study is to evaluate surgical indication and prognostic factors of NEC. Clinical data of seventy patients, diagnosed as NEC between January 2000 & January 2007, were reviewed retrospectively. Fifty-seven patients had medical treatment and 7 of them died. Thirteen patients who presented with pneumoperitoneum on plain abdominal film or were refractory to medical treatment received surgical treatment, and 5 of them died. All the expired 12 patients weighed less than 2500 g. Twenty out of seventy patients showed thrombocytopenia, and 11 patients of them died. The finding of pneumoperitoneum and thrombocytopenia could be the most important surgical indication. Prematurity, low birth weight and thrombocytopenia were related to a bad prognosis. NEC patients who presents with these findings must be considered for close observation and intensive care.
적층형 태양전지를 위한 비정질실리콘계 산화막 박막태양전지의 광흡수층 및 반사체 성능 향상 기술

Highly photosensitive and wide bandgap amorphous silicon oxide (a-$SiO_x$:H) films were developed at low temperature ranges ($100{\sim}150^{\circ}C$) with employing plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition by optimizing $H_2/SiH_4$ gas ratio and $CO_2$ flow. Photosensitivity more than $10^5$ and wide bandgap (1.81~1.85 eV) properties were used for making the a-$SiO_x$:H thin film solar cells, which exhibited a high open circuit voltage of 0.987 V at the substrate temperature of $100^{\circ}C$. In addition, a power conversion efficiency of 6.87% for the cell could be improved up to 7.77% by employing a new n-type nc-$SiO_x$:H/ZnO:Al/Ag triple back-reflector that offers better short circuit currents in the thin film photovoltaic devices.
고성능 박막태양전지를 위한 유리 기판 및 산화 아연 투명 전극의 2중 구조 표면 조직화 공정 연구

We studied surface texture-etching of glass substrate by using reactive ion etching process with various working pressure (0.7~9.0 mT). With the increase in the pressure, a haze parameter, which means diffusive transmittance/total transmittance, was increased in overall wavelength regions, as measured by spectrophotometer. Also, atomic force microscopy (AFM) study also showed that the surface topography transformed from V-shaped, keen surface to U-shaped, flattened surface, which is beneficial for nanocrystalline silicon semiconductor growth with suppressing defective crack formation. The texture-etched ZnO:Al combined with textured glass exhibited pronounced haze properties that showed 60~90 % in overall spectral wavelength regions. This promising optical properties of double textured, transparent conducting substrate can be widely applied in silicon thin film photovoltaics and other optoelectronic devices.

The chairbound, handicapped person often requires a cushion to distribute the supportive forces over the largest area possible in order to reduce the risk of the development of a pressure sore. Pressure sores are areas of damaged skin caused by staying in one position for too long and can cause serious infections, some of which are life-threatening. When sitting upright, the greatest proportion of body weight is centerd over the ischial tuberosities. So, it is important that comfortable seating and largest distribution of pressure to prevent pressure sores. Therefore, the objective of this study was to develop the physical pressure measurement device and orthodontic chair to prevent pressure sores.
페달링 시 시상면, 전두면에서의 무릎관절 궤적과 각도에 대한 연구

이 연구의 목적은 최대 페달링 동안의 시상면과 전두면에서의 무릎관절의 운동학적 변화와 페달파워와의 상관관계를 분석하는 것이다. 실험은 7명의 프로 사이클 선수(height: 174.6±5.0cm, weight: 79.9±2.5kg, age: 31.8±6.4years, career: 14.7±7.4years)들을 대상으로 4가지 안장높이에서의 10초 최대검사를 수행하였다. 3차원 동작분석기와 SRM 파워미터를 사용하여 동작데이터와 페달링 파워의 측정를 측정하였다. 측정된 무릎관절의 운동학 데이터는 시상면과 전두면에서의 궤적과 각도에 대한 관절가동범위(Joint range of motion, JROM)와 변동성으로 계산되었다. 변동성은 표준화된 제곱근(Normalized root mean square, NRMS)을 이용하여 계산되었으며 크랭크 각도에 따라 전체구간(NRMST)과 파워구간(NRMSP)으로 나눠서 계산하였다. 결과적으로, 4가지의 운동학 변인(시상면: JROM(궤적), NRMST(각도), 전두면: NRMST (각도), NRMSP(각도))이 페달파워와의 유의미한 상관관계를 나타냈다(0.746, 0.433, -0.515, -0.534, p<.05). 이러한 변인에 대한 개별적 상관관계의 결과에서는 평균적으로 전두면의 각도에 대한 변동성이 시상면에 비해 페달파워와 더욱 높은 상관성을 나타내었다. 이로부터 페달링 수행평가를 위해서는 전두면에서의 각도 변동성에 대한 분석이 중요할 것으로 판단된다. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relation ship between pedal power and changes in the knee joint angel at frontal and sagittal plane during maximal pedaling. Seven professional cyclists (height: 174.6±7.4years) participated in this study and performed 10sec maximal test with four different saddle heights by knee joint angel (35°, 30°, 25°, ) and custom height. To acquire motion data and pedaling power, 3D motion analysis system and SRM power meter were used. Joint range of motion (JROM) and variability of trajectory & joint angle in frontal and sagittal plane were calculated. Variability by normalized root mean square was divided into total (NRMST) and power phase (NRMSP) by crank angle. Results showed that there were significant relationship between four kinematic variables (sagittal plane: JROM, NRMST(trajectory), frontal plane: NRMST (angle) NRMSP (angle)) and pedal power (0.746, 0.433, -0.515, -0.534, p<.05, respectively). For individual subject analysis, the correlation between pedal power and variability about angels in the plane was higher than those in the sagittal plane. These results indicate that it is necessary to measure knee joint variability in the frontal plane for the evaluation of pedaling performance.
