        한의치료 후 증상이 호전된 노인성 어지럼 환자 1례-가미보익탕 복용 및 현훈검사를 중심으로-

        Objectives: We would like to report improvement in symptoms after performing Korean Medicine treatment including Gamiboik-tang administration to patient with presbystasis that lasts for more than a decade. Methods: An 83-year-old male patient diagnosed with presbystasis was administered Gamiboik-tang for 4 weeks and acupuncture was performed. The degree of improvement is evaluated based on the body balance test and the patient's subjective symptom change. Results: Both the body balance test and the patient’s subjective symptoms improved after administration of Gamiboik-tang and Korean Medicine treatment Conclusions: Korean Medicine treatment, including Gamiboik-tang administration and acupuncture treatment, is thought to be effective for presbystasis.

        두드러기 증례 연구에서 사용된 한약 처방 분석

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of herbal medicine for the treatment of urticaria in case studies and to find the general tendency of herbal medicine treatment and to establish the primary treatment direction of urticaria. Methods : In the domestic databases, Oriental medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System (OASIS), Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal (KTKP), National Discovery for Science Leader (NDSL), Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), we selected among the case study papers published in the last 20 years using search terms related to "urticaria". Reports related to Sasang Constitutional medicine were excluded and total of 15 papers were finally selected. Results : 23 prescriptions were retrieved from 15 papers. The most commonly used prescription was Seungmagalgeun-tang (升麻葛根湯), and Bangpoongtongsung-san (防風通聖散) and Pyeongwi-san (平胃散) were presented twice. Commonly used herbs are Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (甘草), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (生薑), and Scutellariae Radix (黃芩). 18 out of 78 herbs are belonging to heat-clearing medicinal (淸熱藥) and 16 out of 78 herbs are belonging to exterior-releasing medicinal (解表藥). Concurrent therapies such as acupuncture, pharmacoacupuncture, moxibustion, cupping therapy, ice pack applying therapy were performed and several evaluation methods were used, patient's subjective remission rate was the most used. Conclusions : Through this study, we were able to discover the tendency of herbal medicine prescription for the treatment of urticaria.

        문헌 연구와 실험 연구의 분석을 통한 구기자와 감국의 안과질환에 대한 활용

        Objectives : To present rough guide for the proper use of Lycii Fructus and Chrysanthemum indicum on ophthalmic patients. Methods : Traditional medical classics(本草綱目, 銀海精微, 秘傳眼科龍木論, 東醫寶鑑) and recent studies for Lycii Fructus and Chrysanthemum indicum were reviewed. Results : The results are as follows. 1. According to traditional medical classics, the efficacy of Lycii Fructus and Chrysanthemum indicum is removing nebula(退?) and improving acuity of vision(明目). 2. According to contemporary studies, Lycii Fructus has strong antioxidant, neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory effect. Chrysanthemum indicum has strong anti-inflammatory effect. Results and Conclusions : The Lycii Fructus is proper to macula or neuro-ophthalmology disease. Chrysanthemum indicum is proper to cornea or conjunctiva disease. Absolutely, It may be changed according to the individual condition. However, this may be a rough guide for usage in Korean medicine ophthalmology.

        혈관염 및 자반증의 한의학적 치료에 대한 국내 임상 논문 분석

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to analyze how purpura and vasculitis have been treated with Korean medicine and potentially to present with future direction of research and treatment. Methods : We searched clinical studies from the Korean databases including Oriental medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System(OASIS), Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal(KTKP), National Discovery for Science Leader(NDSL), Research Information Sharing Service(RISS), using keywords related to "Purpura" and "Vasculitis" from January 2000 to May 2019. Results : A total of 20 studies were selected for analysis. More than half of the patients provided with detailed information were under 19 year-olds, and upper respiratory infection, stress and fatigue, seasonal factor were among the most frequently stated as predisposing factors. Among many treatment modalities, herbal medicine was the most frequently used, followed by acupuncture and herbal acupuncture. 23 basic herbal medicine formulas were retrieved from 20 articles, most frequently used being Guibi-tang(歸脾湯加味), Samul-tang(四物湯加味) and Yukmijihwang-tang(六味地黃湯加味). In total, 122 Korean medicine herbs were used, most frequently used herbs being Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma(甘草), Angelicae Gigantis Radix(當歸), Poria Sclerotium(茯苓) and Paeoniae Radix(芍藥). By its category, herbs were mostly classified into Tonyfying and replenishing medicinal(補益藥), Heat-clearing medicinal(淸熱藥) and Exterior-releasing medicinal(解表藥). Patients with total treatment period of 3 months or under were 2/3 of all cases provided with detailed information. Follow up periods were short in general with only 6 cases of over 6 months. The primary motive of patients to receive Korean medicine treatments was unresponsiveness or adverse effects of western medication. Conclusion : Through this literature review, we could find out tendencies of Korean medicine treatments of purpura and vasculitis up to date and some points that may have clinical significance.

        아토피 피부염 증례 연구 분석 -한약 처방을 중심으로-

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of herbal medicine for the treatment of atopic dermatitis in cases and to find the general tendency of herbal medicine treatment and to establish the primary treatment direction of Atopic dermatitis. Methods : In the domestic databases, Oriental medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System(OASIS), Korea Traditional Knowledge Portal(KTKP), National Discovery for Science Leader(NDSL), Research Information Sharing Service(RISS), we selected among the papers published in the last 20 years using search terms related to "Atopic dermatitis & Cases". Reports based on Sasang constitutional medicine and Six meridian pattern identification were excluded and a total of 21 papers were finally selected. Results : 113 herbal medicines were retrieved from 21 papers. The most commonly used herbs are Scutellariae Radix(黃芩), Rehmanniae Radix(地黃), and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma(甘草). Atractylodis Rhizoma(蒼朮), Akebiae Caulis(木通), Smilacis Rhizoma(土茯苓), Paeoniae Radix(芍藥) used mostly when Oozing exists, Trichosanthis Radix(瓜蔞), Asparagi Radix(天門冬), Persicae Semen(桃仁), Carthami Flos(紅花) used mostly when Dryness, Lichenification, and Pigmentation exist. The average score of SCORAD index was improved after Herbal medicine treatment. Conclusion : Through this study, we could find out the tendency of herbal medicine to treat Atopic dermatitis along with Symptoms.

        한의약 치료로 호전된 만성부비동염으로 인한 후각장애 2례

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Korean medicine on olfactory disorders due to chronic sinusitis. Methods : Two patients with chronic sinusitis complaining of olfactory disturbances, nasal obstruction, and purulent discharge were treated with herbal medicines and acupuncture treatment. The nasal endoscopic examination and paranasal sinuses x-ray series (PNS x-ray) were performed. In addition, numeral rating scale (NRS) of olfactory disturbances and degrees of nasal obstruction and purulent discharge were evaluated. Results : In cases 1 and 2, NRS of olfactory disturbances decreased from 9 to 1. Nasal obstruction and purulent discharge decreased to no symptoms or intermittent level at moderate or severe level. The endoscopic findings and PNS x-ray findings were improved after treatments. Among various treatments of Korean medicine, Gamitonggyu-tang may play a crucial role in the reduction of sinusitis and olfactory disorders. Conclusions : This case report can be used as a basis for the use of Korean medicine, Gamitonggyu-tang , for olfactory disorder due to chronic sinusitis.

        모유 수유 중인 산욕기 환자의 두드러기 치험 1례

        Objectives : The aim of this study is to report the effect of herbal medicine and acupuncture on a breastfeeding woman's postpartum urticaria which was unresponsive to a 1st generation antihistamine and a topical steroid. Methods : Wheals and pruritus occurred to a 36-year-old breastfeeding woman 2 days after the parturition. Symptoms were unresponsive to about a week of systemic antihistamine and topical steroid treatments. GamiSamul-tang herbal decoction was administered three times a day for the first 21 days and twice a day for the next 10 days of the treatment. Acupuncture treatment was applied to 12 acupoints (both sides of LI04, LR03, ST36, LI11, SP10, SP6) for 15 minutes once a week, 5 times in total. The patient's symptom was evaluated with Weekly Urticaria Activity Scale (UAS7) and Visual Analogue Scale for Worst Pruritus within 24 hours ($VAS_{Pruritus}$) each time the patient visited out-patient department. Results : The scores of UAS7 and $VAS_{Pruritus}$ at the baseline were 38 and 8.2 respectively. 10 days after the herbal medicine and acupuncture treatment began, both decreased to 0 and wheal, pruritus, erythema didn't appeared again for the rest of the follow up periods. Conclusions : This study shows the possibility of using GamiSamul-tang and acupuncture to treat postpartum urticaria.

        당귀작약산(當歸芍藥散)과 침 치료로 호전된 상기도 감염 후에 발생한 후각장애 1례

        Objectives : The aim of this study was to report the effect of Dangguijakyak-san and acupuncture on postviral olfactory disorder. Methods : Dangguijakyak-san extract granule was administered three times a day. Acupuncture was applied to 11 acupoints(EX-HN3, GV20, GV23 and both side of LI04. LR03, LI20, EX-HN8) for 15 minutes once a week. Results : The score of olfactory threshold test and TDI(Threshold-Discrimination-Identification) score increased by 3 points. The subjective sense of smell was improved for the substances that could not previoulsy be smelled. Conclusions : This study shows the possibility of using Dangguijakyak-san and acupuncture to treat postviral olfactory disorder.

        한의과대학 실습 만족도 조사 - 의사-환자 역할극, 모의 CPX를 중심으로 -

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to find an effective clerkship process for the implementation of participatory clinical practice that is practically applicable to most Colleges of Korean Medicine. Methods : Taking the 4th-grade students of the College of Korean Medicine, Kyung Hee University in 2019 as a subject, we conducted Role-playing and simulated CPX in the department of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology and Dermatology and conducted a satisfaction survey through a questionnaire. Results:1.The preliminary expectations for overall practice and Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology and Dermatology practice did not differ significantly. 2.The satisfaction, data adequacy, feedback adequacy, and usefulness of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology and Dermatology course were 79.4%, 80.8%, 87.6%, and 86.5%, respectively. 3.When comparing the Role-playing of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology with mock CPX of Dermatology, data relevance level was similar, feedback adequacy level was higher in mock CPX, satisfaction and usefulness level were higher in Role-playing. Conclusion : Comparing Role-playing with the simulated CPX method, Role-playing is a relatively realistic form than the CPX method, and moreover students showed higher satisfaction and usefulness in Role-playing.

        2012-2016년 경희대학교 한방병원 한방안이비인후과 외래환자에 대한 통계적 분석

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to research on the characteristics of outpatients and distributions of diseases in ophthalmology, otolaryngology of Korean medicine in 2012-2016 and compare the result with previous studies. Methods : This study is based on the analysis of medical records of total 2,319 outpatients in ophthalmology, otolaryngology of Korean medicine at Kyung Hee Korean medicine hospital from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2016. We searched on the demographic characteristics of outpatients and the distributions of diseases in order of frequency by age and sex. Then, we compared these results to previous results of papers at same hospital in 2000 and 2007. Results : The common diseases in 2012-2016 were dry eye syndrome in ophthalmology(32.14%), tinnitus and hearing loss in otology(72.69%), rhinitis in rhinology(82.20%) and laryngopharyngitis in laryngology(67.77%). The most increasing diseases in the distribution between 2004-2006 and 2012-2016 were retinopathy in ophthalmology(+366.77%), etc including the eustachian tube disorder in otology(+151.55%), olfactory disorder in rhinology(+167.50%) and laryngopharyngitis in laryngology(+126.20%). Conclusions : If we accumulate these kinds of epidemiologic studies on ophthalmology, otolaryngology of Korean medicine, it will be great help to make Korean medical preparations for the increasing diseases on these fields.
