An Effective Information Visualization Technique for Intrusion Detection

In computer forensics investigation, the investigators collect, protect, analyze and interpret massive amount of data which were used in cyber crime. However, due to its huge amount of information, it takes a great deal of time and errors often result even when they use forensics investigation tool in the process. The information visualization techniques will greatly help to improve the information processing ability of human when they deal with the overwhelming amount of data and have to find out significant information in it. The importance of Intrusion Detection System(IDS) among network forensics is being emphasized in computer forensics. In this study, we apply the information visualization techniques which are proposed to be a great help to IDS and carry out the usability test to find out the most effective information visualization techniques for IDS.

The developing concept of traditional bumper is to satisfy low speed collision regulation for protecting body of vehicle. In addition to this regulation. The RCAR (The Research Committee for Automobile Repairs) requires reparability of bumper to reduce repair cost In this paper, the bumper for RCAR was analyzed by impact simulation and compared with regulation bumper to evaluate their crash performance and reparability. Based on this result, bumper structure to improve reparability was conducted.

The main function of traditional bumper is to protect passenger and body of vehicle in low speed collision. In addition to this, recently the requirement for reduction of cost and weight is growing increasingly. In this paper, DFSS is applied to design and analysis bumper to reduce cost and weight. The factors influencing bumper performance is derived to find control factor. Based on this factor, Bumper impact analysis is performed to get optimal factor. Bumper designed by optimal factor is analyzed and compared with vehicle crash test result to verify reliability of design.

<P>Betulinic acid (BA), a plant-derived pentacyclic triterpenoid, may interact with the members of the organic anion transporting polypeptide 1B subfamily. Here, we investigated the interactions of BA and its analogs with OATP1B1/3 and rat Oatp1b2 in vitro and in vivo. BA inhibited the activity of OATP1B1/3 and rat Oatp1b2 in vitro. Systemic exposure of atorvastatin was substantially altered with the intravenous co-administration of BA (20 mg/kg). Preincubation (incubation with inhibitors, followed by washout) with BA led to a sustained inhibition of OATP1B3, which recovered rapidly in the media containing 10% fetal bovine serum. The addition of albumin to the media decreased intracellular concentrations of BA and expedited the recovery of OATP1B3 activity following preincubation. For asunaprevir and cyclosporin A (previously known to inhibit OATP1B3 upon preincubation), the addition of albumin to the media shortened recovery time with asunaprevir, but not with cyclosporin A. Overall, our results showed that BA inhibits OATP1B transporters in vitro and may incur hepatic transporter-mediated drug interactions in vivo. Our results identify BA as another OATP1B3 inhibitor with preincubation effect and suggest that the preincubation effect and its duration is impacted by altered equilibrium of inhibitors between intracellular and extracellular space (e.g., albumin in the media). In this study, to standardize the heat treatment process, which is widely applied around the world, the optimal process conditions and homogenized values of physical properties were derived through analysis using the Design of Experiment (DoE) method In the case study, the main factors affecting the heat treatment were selected and presented in a Fish Bone Diagram, and input and output variables were selected. Then in the characterization stage, full factorial design (FD) was applied to confirm main effects and interactions, and the experimental range was determined appropriately. Next, in the optimization stage, the optimal condition that satisfied the response variable, the Design Space (DS), and the safe Operating Space (OS) were derived by applying the Response Surface Method (RSM). Finally, through the reproducibility experiment, it was confirmed that the experimental value was similar to the predicted optimization value. Based on the productivity analysis, it can be predicted that the productivity will increase by reducing both the number of re-heat treatments and sample costs. In addition, stable physical properties value can be secured through the standardization of heat treatment production processes.

스마트폰의 대중화와 함께 그에 내장된 GPS를 활용하여 컨텐츠를 제공하는 서비스들이 점차 늘어나고 있다. 그러나 이런 컨텐츠를 단지 위도, 경도 좌표 정보만을 기초로 구성하게 되면 실제 그 위치가 가지는 의미적 특성을 제대로 반영하지 못하게 된다. 사용자의 위치를 기반으로 그에 맞는 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 장소의 토픽을 고려해야한다. 본 논문은 사용자가 위치한 장소의 지명 키워드로부터 검색 엔진 및 토픽 모델을 통해 장소에 내재된 토픽을 파악하고, 이를 기반으로 관련된 기사를 추천하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문이 제안하는 방법을 29곳의 장소에 대해서 두 가지 베이스라인과 함께 비교하였다. 일반적인 질의 확장에 기반한 베이스라인 방법보다 제안한 방법이 NDCG 평가 기준에서 약 18% 이상 높은 성능을 보였다. 또한 제안하는 방법은, 명시적으로 장소와 유관한 토픽을 어휘로 제시할 수 있으며, 이들에 대한 정성적인 분석은 이렇게 제시된 토픽이 해당 장소를 잘 반영하고 있음을 볼 수 있었다. With the popularity of smart phones, services that provide contents using GPS have been increasing. However if these contents would consist only of geographical information like latitude, longitude coordinates, it couldn't catch the meanings of places. To provide the service based on and properly utilizing user location, topics of the places should be considered. This paper studies the problem of recommending articles based on latent topics of a place, which topics are found out from the name of the place where a user is located by a search engine and topic modeling. We compared our proposed method and another two baselines over 29 different places. Our proposed method outperforms the baseline using a well-known query expansion method about 18% in NDCG evaluation measure. In addition, the proposed method is able to show topics associated with a place to words explicitly. And we have shown by qualitative analysis that a discovered topic reflects the true latent place topic well.

자율주행 자동차는 기존 기계 자동차와는 달리 수많은 전자장치와 이를 구동시키는 소프트웨어들로 구성되기 때문에 다양한 요소기술들의 집약체라고 할 수 있다. 이런 자율주행 기술의 실현을 위해서는 여러 요소기술들을 종합적으로 분석하며 구현해봐야 하지만, 높은 비용구조와 안전성 이슈로 인해 현실적으로 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이런 어려움으로 스케일카를 통해 자율주행 자동차 구현에 대한 인사이트를 얻고자하였다. 특히 자동차 모터 스피드와 영상 인식 및 경로 판단 지연과의 상관성을 통해 트랙을 얼마나 안전하고 빠르게 완주할 수 있는지 알아보았다. 실험결과 엔비디아 젯슨 나노 기준으로 370 PWM (Pulse Wideth Modulation) 일 때 90° 곡선 경로를 안전하고 가장 빠르게 돌 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 훈련 영상 파일 역시 해당 속도와 유사한 데이터들이 요구된다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이런 연구 결과들을 통해 교내 자율주행차 경진대회의 15m*9m 트랙에서 22.7초 기록으로 1등의 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
Comparative analysis of human facial skin microbiome between topical sites compared to entire face

Background Skin is an essential outer barrier and supports the growth of commensal microorganisms that protects a host from the ofense of foreign toxic organisms. With the rapid development of next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based applications, skin microbiome research for facial health care has reached industry growth, such as therapy and cosmetic product development. Despite the acceleration of skin microbiome research, experimental standardization protocol has not yet been established in the facial site and method of sampling. Objective Thus, we aimed to investigate the diferences in microbial composition at each facial site (cheek, mouth, forehead, and entire face) using comprehensive microbiome analysis. Methods Twelve specimens from three men (four specimens per one person) were collected. The hypervariable regions (V3–V4) of the bacterial 16S rRNA gene were targeted for 16S amplicon library construction and classifcation of bacterial taxonomy. Skin microbial composition for all specimens was investigated, and the diferences site-by-site in skin microbial composition were analyzed and evaluated by the various statistical tests. Results We were able to validate the independent correlation between the skin microbiome composition and the facial sites. The cheek site showed the highest alpha-diversity in richness and evenness scores compared to the forehead and mouth. The cheek and mouth sites showed a positive correlation (R2 value>0.93) with the entire face, while the forehead sites were negatively correlated (R2 value<0.2). Given the relative abundance based on statistical correlation analysis, we estimated that the cheek site could be considered an optimal topical site to replace the entire face. Conclusion Our study suggests that skin microbiome profling of four facial sites confrms that the cheek shows the most similar skin fora with the entire face. This study would be informative for preventing bias caused by sampling methods before researching and understanding skin cosmetics development or skin diseases.
