Karyotype and B chromosome variation in Lilium amabile Palibin
Truong Xuan Nguyen,김보람,박두리,김영규,Viet‑Yen Nguyen,나종국,김남수,김종화 한국유전학회 2019 Genes & Genomics Vol.41 No.6
Objective Lilium amabile Palibin (2n = 2x = 24) is an endemic lily species in Korea. B chromosomes are supernumerary chromosomes and the presence of B chromosome in L. amabile was known by previous researches. The current research was conducted to characterize the genetical and cytological features of the B chromosome plants in L. amabile. Methods Karyotype and B chromosome cytotype analyses were carried out among 135 L. amabile accessions that were collected from six geographical locations in Korea using conventional aceto-carmine staining as well as FISH technique with ribosomal RNA gene probes. Results The karyotype of L. amabile genome consisted of two large metacentric, four intermediate subtelocentric, and six intermediate to small acrocentric chromosomes in which chromosomes 1, 6 and 7 carried the 45S rRNA gene loci and chromosome 3 carried the 5S rRNA gene. There were 4 types of B chromosomes, two large B chromosomes and two small B chromosomes. The ribosomal RNA gene loci were not present in the B chromosomes. The 135 accessions were classified into 13 cytotypes including diploids and different B chromosome aneuploids. Among the aneuploids, the most frequent cytotype was 24 + 1B, which was followed by 24 + 2B, 24 + 1b, 24 + 1B + 2b, 24 + 1B + 4b, and 24 + 2B + 4b. Conclusion The karyotype of L. amabile was consistent with other species in the genus Lilium without polyploids. The B chromosome cytotypes were highly variable and the occurrences of different cytotypes were random among the six populations, implying that the B and b chromosome occurrence was random in each population.
Factors Impacting on Korean Consumer Goods Purchase Decision of Vietnam’s Generation Z
Xuan Truong NGUYEN 한국유통과학회 2019 유통과학연구 Vol.17 No.10
Purpose - This study aims to explore the impact of factors on Korean consumer goods purchase decision of Vietnam’s Generation Z. Research design, data, and methodology - A mixed research method was utilized in this study including focus group, in-depth interview, pilot study, and official study. The conceptual model and hypothesis were tested using data collected cross-sectional by questionnaire, from a sample of 439 respondents, by both electronic and paper surveys with non-probability and convenience sampling. The SPSS 20 and AMOS 20 software were employed to analyze the data. Results - Results showed that Vietnam’s Generation Z was strongly impacted by social media, Hallyu, country of origin, social norms, and perceived usefulness. Besides, Korean consumer goods purchase decision of Vietnam’s Generation Z also were impacted by intermediary factors such as trust, social norms, product involvement, perceived quality, perceived usefulness, attitude, and buying intention. There were differences in factors affecting the purchase decision of the boy and girl Generation Z group. Conclusions - The factors impacting on Korean consumer goods decision of Vietnam’s Generation Z are very important for Korean firms and government. The findings provide Korean firms opportunity for appropriate to be carried out factors impacting Korean consumer goods to generation Z in Vietnam successful.

Abstract

The solvothermal liquefaction of sewage sludge (SS) has received much attention as an ecofriendly method of liquid fuel production. In this study, we evaluated the economic feasibility of bio-heavy-oil (BHO) production from 100 t/d SS using supercritical ethanol (scEtOH) and methanol (scMeOH). The process included a dryer, supercritical reactor, BHO separator, steam boiler, wastewater treatment unit and storages. Two cases for the techno-economic analysis (TEA) were considered: BHO production with scEtOH (Case 1) and with scMeOH (Case 2). The four-level economic potential approach (4-level EP) was used for the TEA. The total capital investments of Cases 1 and 2 were 19.6 and 19.5 million dollars, respectively. Case 2 showed higher economic potential than Case 1 because of the low price of methanol. The BHO plant using scMeOH was economically feasible with a return on investment of 21%/a.

Highlights

Bio-heavy-oil (BHO) was produced by supercritical (SC) reaction of sewage sludge (SS).

Process flow diagram for 100 t/d SS plants is proposed using SC ethanol and methanol.

The BHO plant with SC methanol was more profitable than that with SC ethanol.

The full-scale BHO plant with scMeOH showed economic feasibility with a 21% ROI.

Graphical abstract

[DISPLAY OMISSION]

The reduviid Sycanus falleni Stal (Heteroptera: Reduviidae) is an important predatory insect in biological control pests in vegetable, soybean, corn and rice plants. It is omnivorous species and has a wide range of prey. The influence of fed on four different preys as Pieris rapae (Linnaeus), Spodoptera litura (Fabricius), Plutela xylostella (Linnaeus) and Corcyra cephalonica (Stainton) on biological parameters, ability to eat prey and body weight of the nymph and adult of S. falleni were evaluated in laboratory conditions (26 ± 2 °C, 75 ± 5% RH and light:dark 14:10 h) in Vietnam. The biological parameters of reduviid S. falleni reared on the laboratory were determined by observing the development stage of egg, development stage of nymph, pre-oviposition period, life cycle, longevity of adult, number of eggs laid, sex ratio. The nymph and adults of reduviid S. falleni consumption the number of P. xylostella, P. rapae, S. litura and C. cephalonica larvae were different, and an adult female consumed more than an adult male while the body weight of the I and V nymphal instars, male and female adults of reduviid S. falleni wasn't significantly different (P < 0.01).

Distributed mobility management (DMM) is currently being researched and standardized in academia and standardization development organizations for the purpose of overcoming the major issues of existing centralized mobility management. The most recent DMM protocols are being redesigned with regard to the control and data plane separation concept. However, at present, there is no solution for supporting IP multicast listeners in such new DMM environments. In this paper, we review ongoing academic research works, standardization activities and propose an IP multicast mobility design for the DMM environment using the control and data plane concept.
