        평생교육 참여결정이론에 관한 연구

        평생교육에서 학습자의 참여결정과정은 평생에 걸쳐 지속적으로 다양한 요인들이 복합적으로 상호작용하는 과정으로 이해할 수 있으므로, 평생교육 참여에 관한 논의도 장기적이고 종합적 접근이 요구된다. 즉, 초기의 참여결정에서 계속적인 참여과정에 이르기까지의 장기적인 과정에 영향을 미치는 개인적, 심리적, 사회적, 교육기관 및 제도적, 환경적 특성들의 영향력을 종합적으로 규명하는 시도가 필요하다. 따라서 이 연구는 우선 장기적이고 종합적인 평생교육 참여결정 모형 개발을 위한 준거 틀을 제공하는 데 목적을 두고, 초기 참여결정과 참여지속결정에 관한 선행연구들을 분석적으로 고찰한 후 이를 토대로 다차원적 참여결정 관련요인들을 종합˙정리하였다. 연구결과, 초기 참여결정과 참여지속결정 모두에 관련된 요인들로 학습자의 배경 특성, 학습자의 사회경제적 특성, 학습자의 심리적 특성, 학습자의 학습환경 특성, 교육기관의 특성, 프로그램의 특성, 교육기관의 환경 특성, 제도적/사회적 환경 특성 등을 제시하였으며, 참여지속 혹은 중도탈락결정에는 교육경험 특성이 추가적인 요인으로 나타났다. 그러나 개인관련 특성도 상당 부분 학습자의 외부 여건이나 제도의 개선, 교육기관의 노력으로 해결할 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 결론으로서 평생교육 기회 확대 및 활성화를 위한 교육기관 차원과 사회제도적 차원의 과제로서, 평생교육기관의 공동체화, 개인적˙사회적 목적의 통합 및 조화, 평생교육지원제도 구축 및 환경 조성 등을 제안하였다. In lifelong education, learners are affected by various factors in making a decision of participation in their life time. The study on participation in lifelong education thus requires the inclusive and the long-term approach. This study attempts to elucidate the various factors that derive from individual, Psychological, social, institutional and environmental aspects, It should also cover the beginning stage where learners make a decision of participation for the first time as well as the continuing stage where learners make a decision about persistence of their education. Accordingly, this study aims to provide a framework to develop a long-term and inclusive participation model of lifelong education. The previous studies on participation theory(Miller, Rubenson, Darkenwald & Merriam, Cookson, and Henry & Basile) and persistence/dropout model(Boshier, Mackinnon-Slaney, Thompson, Tinto, and Bean & Metzner) are analyzed and the related factors in the diverse aspects are summarized. The results of the study show that the related factors of participation and persistence are found in learners, institutions, and policies; learners' personal information, socio-economic status, Psychological characteristics, learning environments, educational institutions, Programs, institutional environment, and social system and policies, In addition, educational experience in institutions is another important factor for persistence or dropout. Also, the non-participation and dropout of learners can be resolved by improvement of learning environment, Policy change, and institutional support. It is thus concluded that community of lifelong education, integration and harmony of individual and social purposes, support system of lifelong education, and the better educational environment should be established for providing and expanding chances of lifelong education.

        응급실 내원 환자의 만족도 평가 및 관련 요인에 대한 연구

        Background: To examine the influencing factors on patients' satisfaction in the emergency department(ED) for quality assurance. Methods: Patients who visited to the ED were prospectively investigated from November 1 to December 31, 1997. Authors developed questionnaire to investigate influencing factors on patients' satisfaction. A Chi-square test and LISREL 7.0 were applied for statistical analysis. Results: Patients' satisfaction was significantly related to physical environment variables, accessibility variables, kindness of hospital personnel variables, and patient's trust for doctors variables. In path analysis, willingness for revisit was influenced by patients' satisfation, accessibility, physical environment, patients' trust for doctors in order, and willingness for recommendation was influenced by accessibility, patients' satisfaction, and kindness of hospital personnel in order. Conclusions: The influencing factors on patients' satisfaction are physical environment, accessibility, kindness of hospital personnel, and patient's trust for doctors. Willingness for revisit and willingness for recommendation are influenced by patients' satisfation. In spite of some limitations, the results of this study can be used as a baseline information for exploring the influencing factors on patients' satisfaction. Further comprehensive research efforts should be made on the study of patients' satisfactoin in the ED.

        The authors investigated thoroughly the flotation characteristics of stibnite. The flotation behavior of this mineral was carried out by using modified hallimond tube with various xanthates as a collector and modifying agents such as copper sulphate, lead acetate, sodium sulfide, zinc sulphate, sodium cyanide, sodium sulfite and potassium dichromate. The main results obtained in this experiments are summarized as follows; (1) Stibnite shows that it has maximum floatability in pH range 4.0 to 8.0. (2) Stibnite is activated by copper sulphate and lead acetate. (3) Potassium dichromate is an effective depressing agents in stibnite-xanthate system in pH range 4.0 to 6.0. (4) In the pH range in which the zinc sulphate is preciptated by hydroxide, stibnite is depressed effectively (5) Stibnite is depressed by sodium sulfide in alkaline solution.

        한국인에 있어서 상부식도의 이소성 위점막의 빈도 및 임상적 양상

        N/A Objectives: This study was performed to investigate the incidence and the clinical significance of inlet patch of heterotopic gastric mucosa in Koreans. This lesion can be found by close observation around the upper esophageal sphincter during upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. Methods: From March 1, 1996 to July 8, 1996, at Kwak's hospital, randomly selected 271 patients undergoing routine diagnostic upper gastrointestinal endoscopy were included in this study. Patients with the inlet patch were confirmed by histology. Clinical symptoms observed through medical history were recorded. Results: Twenty-six cases(9.6%) of the 271 patients studied had heterotopic gastric mucosa which was found at or just below the upper esophageal sphincter, varing from 3 to 30mm in diameter. It was velvety red in color and distinct from the surrounding normal squamous esophageal mucosa, resembling the Z-line at the esophagogastric junction. Parietal cells were identified in all 18 cases in which biopsy specimen contained deep glands, and chief cells were found in 14 eases. Histologically, fundic gland type was most frequent. The symptoms were relatively mild, 5 out of 6 patients who complained of throat discomfort were relieved by H2 antagonists. Conclusion: In Koreans the incidence of heterotopic gastric mucosa in the upper esophagus was similar to the reports from western countries unlike Barrett's esophagus, The etiology of these patches appeared to be congenital rather than acquired from reflux of gastric acid. This was supported by its location in the proximal esophagus and lack of correlation with reflux esophagitis. It must be considered as one of the differential diagnosis of a patient who complains of throat discomfort during diagnostic upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. Attention needs to be paid to find possible development of complications such as stricture and adenocarcinoma in patients with the inlet patch of heterotopic gastric mucosa.

        Pulmonary hamartoma is the most common benign tumor of lung. However, the cases of pulmonary hamartoma containing mesenchymal tissue are rare. Here, we report a case of pulmonary hamartoma having the feature of angiomyolipoma. A 62-year-old woman presented with dry cough and dyspnea. Chest CT was performed and 0.5 cm sized nodule having cavity was detected. Empirical antibiotics were prescribed for 2 weeks and chest CT was reevaluated. However, the nodule remained stationary and eventually video assisted thoracoscopic biopsy was done. In pathologic specimen, well differentiated fat, muscle, and vascular tissues were observed. However, HMB-45, that is known as specific marker of angiomyolipoma, was not stained. Thus, the patient was diagnosed as pulmonary hamartoma having the feature of angiomyolipoma.

        Background: Major burns can alter the pharmacokinetics of the commonly used drugs during the perioperative period. This study was carried out to define the pharmacokinetics of propofol in the burned patients during the subacute hyperdynamic phase of the injury. Methods: Twenty adults, aged 43.7 ± 2.3 years, with total body surface area burn of 44.0 ± 22.2%, were examined at 14.1 ± 2 days after the injury (mean ± SD). Age and sex gender matched unburned patients were used as controls. Propofol 2 mg/kg was given intravenously over 10 seconds as a single bolus in both groups. Blood samples (n = 20) were collectedat predetermined intervals. A noncompartmental approach was used for the pharmacokinetic analyses of the propofol concentrations, which were determined by HPLC. The cardiac index was measured by esophageal echocardiography. Results: The burns patients had a significantly higher cardiac index (CI). The clearance (CI) and total volume of distribution (Vd) of propofol were higher in the burns patients, compared with the controls, yielding a smaller area under the curve. The total half-life (t1/2) was similar in both groups. Conclusions: There is a large increase in Vd and CI in the burns patients compared to with the controls. The increased Cl in the burns patients is most likely to be related to the increased CI. Therefore, the initial bolus dose and maintenance infusion may have to be increased in the burns patients, provided the pharmacodynamic sensitivity is unaltered.         Fe/N/S-doped mesoporous carbon nanostructures as electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction in acid medium

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Many alternatives to typical Pt-based catalysts have been developed to enhance oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) performance in acid medium due to their scarcity and high activation loss during the ORR. We synthesized mesoporous carbon nanostructures with multi-dopants such as iron, nitrogen, and sulfur as a cathode catalyst using the ordered silica templates and porphyrinic iron. The co-doped mesoporous carbon cathode catalysts exhibited a high ORR performance in an acid medium, <I>i.e.</I> complete ORR process and improved durability.         PtIr/Ti<sub>4</sub>O<sub>7</sub> as a bifunctional electrocatalyst for improved oxygen reduction and oxygen evolution reactions

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>A unitized regenerative fuel cell (URFC) that combines a fuel cell with a water electrolyzer is attractive as a portable power source. To enhance the efficiency of the URFC, a bifunctional oxygen catalyst for both oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) needs to be developed. In this study, Ti<SUB>4</SUB>O<SUB>7</SUB> supported Pt-based catalysts were prepared for a bifunctional oxygen catalyst (BOC) in URFC. Ti<SUB>4</SUB>O<SUB>7</SUB> support was prepared using a low-temperature process with TiO<SUB>2</SUB> and cobalt chloride hexahydrate at 950 °C under an H<SUB>2</SUB> atmosphere. The metal catalysts (60 wt%) were deposited on a Ti<SUB>4</SUB>O<SUB>7</SUB> support using a borohydride reduction method. The catalysts were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Compared to Pt/C and Pt/Ti<SUB>4</SUB>O<SUB>7</SUB>, PtIr/Ti<SUB>4</SUB>O<SUB>7</SUB> exhibited enhanced activity and stability in ORR and OER.
