Data Aggregation and Data Fusion in Wireless Sensor Networks: A Review
Usman Mohammed,Omotayo Oshiga,Jihoon Lee,Jibril Abdullahi Bala 한국디지털콘텐츠학회 2023 The Journal of Contents Computing Vol.5 No.2
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are widely used for a variety of applications, and sensor nodes (SNs) in these networks are employed to gather data. Unfortunately, there is significant data redundancy in the data acquired by these nodes due to overlap in the monitoring region that they cover, resulting in resource wastage. In WSNs, Data Aggregation (DA) and Data Fusion (DF) are utilized to address these issues as well as others such as energy usage, network longevity, and communication time between SNs. The purpose of this study was to thoroughly identify numerous DA and DF approaches, with an emphasis on their mode of operation, strengths, and limitations. The study investigated the various approaches, strategies, and protocols utilized in WSNs for DA and DF, as well as their applications, performance measurements, and implementation issues. This is meant to offer researchers with the insight they need to identify appropriate DA and DF strategies to use in their study. Security, redundancy, and energy usage were identified as three of the most important concerns in DA and DF approaches for WSNs.

Appendiceal neuroendocrine tumors (NET) although rare, but the most common tu-mors of the gastrointestinal tract in children and adolescents. NET of the appendix is typically undiagnosed preoperatively, are usually not associated with specific neu-roendocrine symptoms, and a high percentage are initially identified by pathologists. For well-differentiated tumors of <1 cm and complete (R0) resection, no follow-up is required. Unlikely, tumor size >2 cm or tumor with high-risk features confer a relevant risk of recurrence and further imaging and surgical procedures are warranted. No consensus, clear recommendation or management guidelines are available for the management of appendiceal NET in children. Herein, current article will provide an overview of literature and suggested guidelines for evaluation and management of childhood neuroendocrine tumors of appendix.

Increased demand for energy worldwide has resulted in increasing interest in alternative renewable sources of biofuels. Demand for improved systems of bioenergy generation, environmental remediation, and coproduction of high value bioactive compounds has led to the potential use of algae in biomass utilization. In Malaysia, palm oil industries generate high amount of solid wastes. Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) is estimated to be three times of the amount of crude palm oil produced. POME is a heavily polluting wastewater due to its high chemical oxygen demand (COD), high biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), and high contents of minerals such as nitrogen and phosphorus that can cause severe pollution to the environment and water resources. A combination of wastewater treatment and renewable bioenergy co-generation with recovery of high-value biochemicals would benefit the palm oil industry.

The goal of this research is to provide a novel conceptual base for ternary hybridity nanofluids that will improve heat transmission. This model illustrates how to produce heat conduction that is superior to the hybridity nanofluid. The ternary hybridity nanofluid is made by suspending three distinct kinds of nanostructures (TiO2, Al2O3, and SiO2) in ethylene glycol with varying physical and chemical linkages. The combination of these nanoparticles aids in the decomposition of hazardous compounds, environment cleansing, and the cooling of other equipment. This article describes the ternary hybrid nanofluids such as the conductivity of thermal and electrical, specific heat capacitance, viscosity, and density. The ordinary differential equations for the liquid and temperature are solved utilizing the Keller box method (KBM). The main finding discovered that the tri-hybrid nanofluid transferred more heat compared to the hybrid nanofluid. The velocity and temperature field diminishes for these ranges of parameters: 0≤γ≤2 (velocity slipγ ) and 0≤γ1≤2 (temperature slip γ1). The Darcy–Forchheimer Fr ranges between 0.5≤Fr≤1.4 diminishes the fluid velocity. The fluid moving subjected to a rotating cone has various applications in engineering like cone clutch, steam generators, loudspeaker cooling, lubricating grease for seals, hydrology, geosciences, etc.
