        Analysis of news bigdata on ‘Gather Town’ using the Bigkinds system

        4차 산업혁명 기술의 발전으로 가상과 현실의 경계가 모호한 디지털 환경 속에서 MZ세대와 메타버스가 가장 큰 주목을 받고 있다. 이러한 MZ세대에 부합되는 교수학습 방식으로 메타버스가 주목받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 에듀테크 관점에서 언론사 뉴스 분석을 통해 메타버스 플랫폼 중의 하나인 게더타운의 활성화 요인을 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국언론재단에서 제공하는 빅카인즈 시스템을 이용하여 빅데이터 관점에서 분석해 보았다. 그 결과 COVID-19 팬데믹 이후에 나타날 미래교육에서 ‘게더타운’의 활용도는 크게 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 둘째, 연관어와 워드크라우드 분석에서, ‘비대면’이나 ‘대학’ 그리고 ‘신입생’ 등 교육 관련 용어들의 가중치가 비교적 높게 나타났으며, ‘메타버스’, ‘메타버스 플랫폼’을 포함하여, ‘코로나19’나 ‘아바타’ 등의 용어도 중심적인 위치에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 네트워크 분석에서 도출된 주요 용어로는 ‘코로나19, 아바타, 대학생, 진로, 유튜브’ 가 포함되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 여건 하에서, 본 연구 결과는 메타버스 플랫폼의 하나인 게더타운의 향후 교육 영역에서의 활용이 보다 활성화 되는데 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다. Recent years have drawn a great attention to generation MZ and Metaverse, due to 4th industrial revolution and the development of digital environment that blurs the boundary between reality and virtual reality. Generation MZ approaches the information very differently from the existing generations and uses distinguished communication methods. In terms of learning, they have different motivations, types, skills and build relationships differently. Meanwhile, Metaverse is drawing a great attention as a teaching method that fits traits of gen MZ. Thus, the current research aimed to investigate how to increase the use of Metaverse in Educational Technology. Specifically, this research examined the antecedents of popularity of Gather Town, a platform of Metaverse. Big data of news articles have been collected and analyzed using the Bigkinds system provided by Korea Press Foundation. The analysis revealed, first, a rapid increasing trend of media exposure of Gather Town since July 2021. This suggests a greater utilization of Gather Town in the field of education after the COVID-19 pandemic. Second, Word Association Analysis and Word Cloud Analysis showed high weights on education related words such as ‘remote’, ‘university’, and ‘freshman’, while words like ‘Metaverse’, ‘Metaverse platform’, ‘Covid19’, and ‘Avatar’ were also emphasized. Third, Network Analysis extracted ‘COVID19’, ‘Avatar’, ‘University student’, ‘career’, ‘YouTube’ as keywords. The findings also suggest potential value of Gather Town as an educational tool under COVID19 pandemic. Therefore, this research will contribute to the application and utilization of Gather Town in the field of education.

      • Emodin Inhibits Breast Cancer Cell Proliferation through the ERα-MAPK/Akt-Cyclin D1/Bcl-2 Signaling Pathway

        Background: The aim of the present study was to investigate the involvement of emodin on the growth of human breast cancer MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells and the estrogen (E2) signal pathway in vitro. Materials and Methods: MTT assays were used to detect the effects of emodin on E2 induced proliferation of MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells. Flow cytometry (FCM) was applied to determine the effect of emodin on E2-induced apoptosis of MCF-7 cells. Western blotting allowed detection of the effects of emodin on the expression of estrogen receptor ${\alpha}$, cyclin D1 and B-cell lymphoma-2 (Bcl-2), mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK) and phosphatidylinostiol 3-kinases (PI3K). Luciferase assays were emplyed to assess transcriptional activity of $ER{\alpha}$. Results: Emodin could inhibit E2-induced MCF-7 cell proliferation and anti-apoptosis effects, and arrest the cell cycle in G0/G1 phase, further blocking the effect of E2 on expression and transcriptional activity of $ER{\alpha}$. Moreover, Emodin influenced the ER ${\alpha}$ genomic pathway via downregulation of cyclin D1 and Bcl-2 protein expression, and influenced the non-genomic pathway via decreased PI3K/Akt protein expression. Conclusions: These findings indicate that emodin exerts inhibitory effects on MCF-7 cell proliferation via inhibiting both non-genomic and genomic pathways.

        Irreversibly Adsorbed Tri-metallic PtBiPd/C Electrocatalyst for the Efficient Formic Acid Oxidation Reaction

        The PtBi/C and PtBiPd/C electrocatalysts were synthesized via the irreversible adsorption of Pd and Bi ions precursors on commercial Pt/C catalysts. XRD and XPS revealed the formation of an alloy structure among Pt, Bi, and Pd atoms. The current of direct formic acid oxidation (I<sub>d</sub>) increased ~ 8 and 16 times for the PtBi/C and PtBiPd/C catalysts, respectively, than that of commercial Pt/C because of the electronic, geometric, and third body effects. In addition, the increased ratio between the current of direct formic acid oxidation (I<sub>d</sub>) and the current of indirect formic acid oxidation (I<sub>ind</sub>) for the PtBi/C and PtBiPd/C catalysts suggest that the dehydrogenation pathway is dominant with less CO formation on these catalysts.

        Maternal Low-protein Diet Alters Ovarian Expression of Folliculogenic and Steroidogenic Genes and Their Regulatory MicroRNAs in Neonatal Piglets

        Maternal malnutrition during pregnancy may give rise to female offspring with disrupted ovary functions in adult age. Neonatal ovary development predisposes adult ovary function, yet the effect of maternal nutrition on the neonatal ovary has not been described. Therefore, here we show the impact of maternal protein restriction on the expression of folliculogenic and steroidogenic genes, their regulatory microRNAs and promoter DNA methylation in the ovary of neonatal piglets. Sows were fed either standard-protein (SP, 15% crude protein) or low-protein (LP, 7.5% crude protein) diets throughout gestation. Female piglets born to LP sows showed significantly decreased ovary weight relative to body weight (p<0.05) at birth, which was accompanied with an increased serum estradiol level (p<0.05). The LP piglets demonstrated higher ratio of bcl-2 associated X protein/B cell lymphoma/leukemia-2 mRNA (p<0.01), which was associated with up-regulated mRNA expression of bone morphogenic protein 4 (BMP4) (p<0.05) and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) (p<0.05). The steroidogenic gene, cytochrome P450 aromatase (CYP19A1) was significantly down-regulated (p<0.05) in LP piglets. The alterations in ovarian gene expression were associated with a significant down-regulation of follicle-stimulating hormone receptor mRNA expression (p<0.05) in LP piglets. Moreover, three microRNAs, including miR-423-5p targeting both CYP19A1 and PCNA, miR-378 targeting CYP19A1 and miR-210 targeting BMP4, were significantly down-regulated (p<0.05) in the ovary of LP piglets. These results suggest that microRNAs are involved in mediating the effect of maternal protein restriction on ovarian function through regulating the expression of folliculogenic and steroidogenic genes in newborn piglets.

        Evolution of self-assembled Ag nanostructures on c-plane sapphire by the systematic control of annealing temperature

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The morphological evolution of various Ag nanostructures on <I>c</I>-plane sapphire is systematically investigated through the solid-state-dewetting by the control of annealing temperature between 200 and 950 °C with the Ag films of 60 and 10 nm. Various configurations of Ag nanostructures including Ag voids, wiggly and round nanoparticles are fabricated with the 60 nm due to the annealing temperature dependent surface diffusion, surface energy minimization and Ag sublimation. As a sharp distinction, highly dense semi-spherical nanoparticles are fabricated with the 10 nm set throughout the temperature range due to a much higher dewetting degree induced by the enhanced surface diffusion with a much thinner film. The reflectance spectra shows a spectral shift along with the size variation, i.e. blue shift with the decreased size and vice versa.         A Study on the Problems and Solutions to China’s Customs Agency System

        The Customs Declaration Agency System in China is a special civil legal act that emerged with the development of the commodity economy. This paper analyzed the historical background and legislative status of the customs declaration agency system in the two major legal systems, deeply explores the political, economic, and social background of the establishment of the agency system. In addition, the step-by-step development process of China's Customs Reporting Agency System was examined, and the customs reporting agency system and other agency systems were compared and analyzed in detail. There is a close relationship between them, but there are also essential differences, so it is necessary to use this system efficiently with a clear understanding of China's Customs Reporting Agency System. In China, Customs Agent Mode is a large part of all customs modes, and has gradually become a major customs declaration form. On the other hand, however, because China's market economy is still relatively short, the establishment of a legal framework in the area of Customs Agents is relatively weak, and there is still an ambiguous aspect of the legal nature of customs agents. Accordingly this paper analyzes the problems of the Chinese Customs Reporting Agent System in depth and presents various countermeasures, including development measures, completion of legislation, and improvement of the legal responsibilities of the relevant parties. Furthermore, this paper not only analyzed the existing Customs Agent problem in simple terms, but also suggested how to develop the unified Customs Agent Law and the Legal Status of the organization, and further suggested ways to improve the administrative responsibility of Customs Agents.
