        비잔티움 콤네노스 왕조의 동물싸움 도상 연구

        본 연구는 비잔티움 교회 장식에 사용된 동물싸움 도상을 중심으로 그 상징적 의미를 밝히고자 한다. 얽히고설킨 두 마리 또는 여러 마리의 맹수가 싸우는 도상은 카타콤바를 중심으로 전개된 비잔티움 미술의 여명기에는 찾아볼 수 없었던 것이지만, 성화상논쟁 이후부터는 교회 내부의 앱스와 네이브를 구획 짓는 샹셀이나 이것이 발전한 템플론, 그리고 비잔티움 교회의 고유한 전례공간인 베마의 장식으로서 종종 등장하게 되며, 콤네노스왕조 시기인 12세기경에는 다수의 작품들이 제작되기에 이르렀다. 먹고 먹히는 동물들의 싸움은 약육강식의 세속적 논리를 적나라하게 드러내주는 것이었으므로, 이 같은 도상은 초기 교회의 내부 장식으로 사용되지 않았던 것이다. 그렇다면 세속의 영역에 속하는것으로 인식되었던 이러한 동물싸움 도상은 어떤 이유에서 성스러운 교회 내부에 점차 도입된 것일까? 성소에 그려진 동물들의 싸움은 어떤 의미를 가지는 것일까? 본 연구에서는 동물싸움 도상을 그리스도교 성체성사의 신학적 의미와 연결하여 해석한 아타나시오스 세모글루의 견해를 보완하여, 당대의 사회상과 연관된 도상해석을 시도하였다. 또한 그가 다루지 않은 새로운 도상자료들을 추가하였다. 동물싸움 도상은 그리스와 로마, 페르시아, 그리고 이슬람 문화권의 영향을 받은 것이지만, 비잔티움 미술은 그것을 그리스도교적 세계관이 투영된 동물도상으로 변모시켰다. 비잔티움의 동물싸움 도상은 동물들의 단순한 싸움을 넘어 창조질서 회복과 그리스도의 육화, 그리고 인류구원의 종말론적 도상으로 자리매김 될 수 있을 것이다. This study intends to reveal the symbolic meaning of the animal combat decoration in the byzantine churches. The combat scenes of two or several beasts ‘entrelacés’ cannot be found in the proto-byzantine era, but after the Iconoclasm they sometimes appear on the chancel screen, the templon, or the bema. In the 12th century, we have many sculptures of animal fighting. The cut-throat animal fighting scenes show the law of the jungle; these scenes were too secular to be used for the church decoration. But how comes in that these secular animal fighting scenes could be selected for the sacred church decoration? What is the symbolic meaning of the animal fighting scenes depicted in the sanctuary? This study focused on the iconographic analysis of the animal fighting scenes associated with the social context; it complements the research of A. Semoglou, which emphasized the theological eucharistic meaning of the scenes. Several new examples were added to this study. The animal combat scenes were affected by greek, roman, and islamic culture, but the Byzantines changed these scenes into an expellant imagery which gives a Christian view of the world. The Byzantine animal combat scenes are not a simple imagery of animal struggle, but a christian iconography full of symbolic meaning, such as the restoration of Creation order, the Incarnation and the Salvation for mankind.

      • Mechanically Enhanced Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel Patch for Effective Bone Regeneration

        While bio-inspired adhesive hydrogels have been applied to various biomedical application, hydrogels functionalized with phenolic moieties are limited their application for bone tissue engineering due to lack of their mechanical strength and osteoconductivity. In this study, we utilized not only the versatile chemical interactions of phenolic moieties but also osteoconductive biomaterials to overcome such limitations. Osteoconductive hybrid hydrogel patches were engineered by incorporating inorganic minerals into phenolic hyaluronic acid. The engineered hybrid hydrogel patches exhibited improved mechanical strength, reinforced physical properties, and prolonged the release of bone morphogenetic protein-2 from hybrid patches. With increased osteoconductivity, hybrid patches with minerals enhanced the osteogenic differentiation of human stem cells and promoted new bone formation in a critical-sized calvarial defect. Our study demonstrates a translational potential of engineered hydrogels for bone regeneration in medical field.

        A Rare Case of Brain Abscess Caused by Aggregatibacter aphrophilus and Actinomyces georgiae in an Immunocompetent Child

        뇌농양은 생명을 위협할 수 있는 심각한 중추신경계 감염으로 특히 소아에서는 증상이 모호하여 시의적절한 진단이 이루어지지 않는 경우가 종종 발생한다. 저자들은 면역력이 정상인 소아에서 드문 병원체에 의한 중추신경계 감염을 진단 및 치료하여 보고하는 바이다. 7년 전 심방중격결손을 진단받았고, 1달 전부터 충치 치료를 받은 과거력이 있는 10세 여아가 10일 전 발생한 두통을 주소로 입원하였다. 뇌자기공명영상에서 4.2 cm 크기의 뇌농양이 오른쪽 두정엽에서 발견되어 두개골절개술과 농양 흡인을 시행하였다. 흡인된 농과 조직에서 Aggregatibacter aphrophilus가 배양되었고, 16S rRNA sequencing에서 Actinomyces georgiae가 확인되어 ampicillin-sulbactam을 8주간 투여하였다. 수술 및 항균요법으로 환자의 증상이 호전되었고, 추적한 뇌자기공명영상에서 농양과 부종도 호전되어 치료를 종료하였다 A brain abscess is a potentially life-threatening infection of the brain that can be challenging to diagnose, especially in children. In this report, we describe a case of a central nervous system infection caused by rare pathogens in an immunocompetent child. A 10-year-old female presented with a severe headache lasting 10 days, along with flashing lights, nausea, and vomiting. The patient was diagnosed with secundum atrial septal defect 7 years ago and underwent dental work for cavities one month prior to admission. Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed a 4.2 cm sized brain abscess in the right parietal lobe, causing left inferior quadrantanopia. A craniotomy and abscess aspiration surgery were performed, and cultures from the aspirated pus and tissue revealed Aggregatibacter aphrophilus. Additionally, Actinomyces georgiae was identified through 16S rRNA sequencing. After 8 weeks of antimicrobial therapy with ampicillin-sulbactam, the patient was discharged without any complications. A follow-up brain MRI showed complete resolution of the abscess and edema

        대학입학전형과 대학생의 대학 생활 및 대학ㆍ전공 만족도, 학업성취도 간의 관계

        이 연구는 한국 교육고용패널조사의 중3 코호트 중에서 4차 년도(2007년 조사, 당시 고3), 5차 년도(2008년 조사, 당시 대1), 6차 년도(2009년 조사, 당시 대2), 7차 년도(2010년 조사, 당시 대3), 8차 년도(2011년 조사, 당시 대4), 9차 년도(2012년 조사, 당시 대졸), 10차 년도(2013년 조사, 당시 대졸) 추적 결과 자료를 활용하여, 학생부 중심전형 대 수능중심전형에 초점을 주어 대입전형 방식이 대학생의 학업성취도에 어떻게 영향을 주는지를 규명하는 것에 목적이 있다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 학생부중심전 형 학생이 수능중심전형 학생보다 학업성취도 향상에 미치는 영향력이 높은 것으로 학생부를 통해 선발된 학생들이 1학년 학업성취도에서는 떨어지지만, 학년이 올라갈수록 성적이 더 향상되었다. 둘째, 학생부중심전형의 전형 요소인 학생부 교과와 학생부 비교과의 차이를 나타내는 대비변수가 유의한 값을 갖지 않는데 이는 학생부 교과와 학생부 비교과 전형 요소를 통해 선발된 학생들의 2, 3, 4학년 누적 평균 학업성취도에 차이가 없게 나타나 영향을 주지 못한다는 의미이다. 따라서 성적 이외 의 요소를 중심으로 선발된 학생부 비교과 전형 요소 선발 학생들의 대학교 학업성취도가 떨어질 것이라는 우려를 불식시키는 결과로 볼 수 있다. 결론적으로 학생부중심전형으로 선발된 학생들이 수능중심전형으로 입학한 학생들보다 학점 관리를 더 적극적으로 하고 있다는 점이며, 학생부 비교과 자료를 대입전형에 활용할 경우 대학생의 학업성취도 및 대학생활 적응의 관련성에 대해서는 조사 자료의 보완을 통해 심층적인 분석을 해 볼 필요가 있다는 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다. The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of college admission on the academic achievement for college students, focusing on the school records and the national college entrance exam by applying the results of examining the data of the 4th year (2007, 3rd grade in high school), the 5th year (2008, freshman in college), the 6th year (2009, sophomore), the 7the year (2010, junior), the 8th year (2011, senior), the 9th year (2012, graduator),and the 10th year (2013, graduator) among cohorts in 3rd grade in middle school based on the research of Korean education & employment panel. According to the results, first, the students of school records showed higher academic achievements than those of the national college entrance exam. They gradually increased their academic performance except the first year in college. Second, no significant values are observed in the contrast variables that indicate the difference between students selected by curriculum records and students by non-curriculum since there were no differences in the accumulated academic achievements in sophomore, junior, and senior students. Therefore, the results show that the students selected by non-curriculum records have the same academic achievements. Third, in order to increase the academic performance, the attitudes and motivation for their major studies should be reinforced. Especially, it is verified that the satisfaction of the major studies increases the academic performance for the students selected by their academic records and the class attitude is the key for the students selected by the national college entrance exam.

        COMPARISON BETWEEN 2D AND 3D PARAMETERS OF 306 FRONT-SIDE HALO CMEs FROM 2009 TO 2013

        <P>We investigate 306 LASCO front-side halo (partial and full) CMEs from 2009 to 2013, which are well-observed by both the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) and the Solar TErrestrial RElations Observatory (STEREO). These CMEs have two-dimensional (2D) parameters, such as speed, angular width, and propagation direction, from a single spacecraft (SOHO), as well as three-dimensional (3D) parameters from a multi-spacecraft (STEREO). These 2D CME parameters, which are based on plane-of-sky observations, are taken from the SOHO LASCO CME catalog and the NGDC flare catalog. We have determined their 3D CME parameters using the Stereoscopic CME analysis tool (StereoCAT) provided by the Community Coordinated Modeling Center at NASA. We compare 2D and 3D CME parameters, making this the most comprehensive statistical study on CME 3D parameters. As a result, we find that 2D speeds underestimate the 3D speed by about 20%. The 3D width ranges from 30 degrees to 158 degrees, values which are much smaller than the 2D widths with a mean value of 225 degrees. We also find that the ratio between the 2D and 3D widths decreases with central meridian distance. The 3D propagation directions are similar to the flare locations, with a mean absolute difference of about 13 degrees. The width-speed relationship in 3D is much stronger than that in 2D.</P>

      • Geometry-Controllable Graphene Layers and Their Application for Supercapacitors

        <P>A facile and ultrafast method for geometry controllable and vertically transformative 3D graphene architectures is demonstrated. The 2D stacked graphene layers produced by exfoliation of graphite were transformed, e.g., from horizontal to vertical, by applying electric charge (-2 V with 1-3 μAh/cm2). The three-dimensionally transformed graphene layers have maximized surface area as well as high specific capacitance, 410 F g(-1) in LiClO4/PC electrolyte, which is 4.4 times higher than that of planar (stacked) graphene layers. Furthermore, they can remarkably exhibit 87% of retained capacitance as the scan rate is increased from 100 to 1000 mV s(-1), unlike planar graphene, which displays 61% retention under the same conditions.</P>

        외국인 근로자의 수면의 질에 미치는 영향 요인

        Objectives: This study aimed to identify effects of stressors and psychological adaptation of foreign workers on sleep quality. Methods: Data from 97 participants at the Busan Foreign Residents Center were included in the final analysis. The questionnaire consisted of sociodemographic characteristics, health behaviors, job related characteristics, stressors, psychological adaptation, and sleep quality. Hierarchical linear regression analysis was performed to identify factors affecting sleep quality using SPSS 28.0 program. Results: There was no significant difference in sleep quality according to demographic characteristics such as gender, age, and education. In the case of health characteristics, sleep quality was poor when current or past smoking and subjective health status were moderate or unhealthy. As a result of the correlation analysis among stressors, psychological adaptation, and sleep quality, sleep quality was positively correlated with family stress (r=0.21, p<0.05) and psychological adaptation (r=0.34, p<0.01). As a result of hierarchical linear regression analysis, non-smoking (β=-0.25, p<0.05) and salary of 1.5 million won or more (β=-0.34, p<0.001) were factors that improved sleep quality, while psychological adjustment difficulties (β=0.33, p<0.01) was a factor that deteriorated the quality of sleep. Conclusions: We confirmed that smoking status, wage level, and psychological adjustment are important factors affecting sleep quality. It is proposed to operate a comprehensive mental health program for improvement of sleep quality for foreign workers.

      • A facile synthetic route for well defined multilayer films of graphene and PEDOT <i>via</i> an electrochemical method

        <P>Thin multilayer graphene/PEDOT films were prepared by electrochemical deposition. PEDOT was deposited on gold electrodes by cyclic voltammetry, and p-doped graphene, which was synthesised from expanded and p-doped graphite, was assembled on the PEDOT-coated electrode by chronoamperometry at −1 V. The process was repeated as necessary to obtain the desired number of multilayers. Successful deposition of graphene/PEDOT layers was demonstrated by SEM. The maximum specific capacitance of the multilayer film was 154 F g<SUP>−1</SUP> for six graphene layers. Further, the multilayer film exhibited improved electrochemical stability with a retention life of 86% after 1000 cycles.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>The graphene and PEDOT layers were electrodeposited alternately.         텍스트 마이닝을 이용한 자살 연구 동향 토픽 모델링

        Objectives: This research aimed to classify topics into published suicide-related papers and to understand the weight of major topics and the trend of changes in topics over the past 20 years. Methods: Articles were collected from KCI website and preprocessed. The revised data by preprocessing were analyzed using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) algorithm and major topics representing the articles were extracted. Topic trends by year and period were analyzed using the extracted topics. Results: Through the result of analyses, it was found that each topic has their own specific topics and they can be classified to their own topics rather than overlapping with other topics. We also found that the broadest topics are suicidal status, suicidal thoughts and suicidal prevention while elderly, youth, and risk groups are the target population for many researches. Conclusions: This research used big data and, through text mining, was able to find comprehensive trends. Using this research as a base, future researches on suicide and suicide prevention can analyze trends in order to study more specific group.
