• DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH VALUE-ADDED TEXTILE PRODUCTS WITHIN THE GLOBALIZATION OF THE KOREAN WAVE

Mi Suk Lee,Kyung Hee Chung,Song Mi Lim,Qingqing Luo 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2015 Global Fashion Management Conference Vol.2015 No.06

Fresh attention is being paid to lifestyle brands offering differentiated contents and value such that the 21st century is now being called the age of global lifestyle. Recently national income has been increasing and a broad lifestyle culture has been established. Thus, brands with Scandinavian (Sweden, Denmark, or Norway), culture sensitivity, and design have deeply permeated the domestic market which has led to a domestic consumers' lifestyle trend (Chung& Park, 2004; Kwon, 2013; Magnus & Chrystin, 2003). In particular, such global lifestyle brands as Marimekko (Finland), CathKidston (UK), and Muji (Japan) have secured competitiveness in the global market as textile products which reflect its country's cultural identity (Lee& Park, 2014). Meanwhile, a new word, Hanban (韓版)which refers to Korean brands or products that were created from the Korean wave (韓流), which refers to Korean dramas or songs. Korean culture has been commercialized and grafted into various industries. In particular, a strong wind of Hanban in fashion cultural products not only has spread the Korean lifestyle to the world, but has enhanced its influence on related industries as well as fashion. Although certain major Korean companies launched lifestyle brands such as Jaju, Modern House, Butter, and Pum to help realize a Korean lifestyle brand business, most products sold in Korean lifestyle brands focus on overseas imported goods,so it is difficult to find Korean images on these products(Bang, 2004; Lee & Chung, 2013). The size of the lifestyle market is growing as a high value-added industry that can lead consumers' lifestyle trends, and there is a growing interest for Korean fashion cultural products. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to attempt to develop textile designs for Korean-made high value-added products with the improvement of Korean brand values. For study methodology, the status of lifestyle brands at home and abroad was examined and textile designs were developed for lifestyle brand B. For the development of the textile designs, demand required by brand B was researched and a textile design concept was established based on fashion and interior decoration trends. Then, a textile was designed using a motive that can effectively represent the identity of brand B and the Korean image. Adobe Photoshop 6.0 and Adobe Illustrator CC programs were used for the standardized textile design motif, pattern development, and colorway. The results were as follows. First, global lifestyle brands such as Marimekko, CathKidston, and Muji sell differentiated lifestyle products from other brands by applying motifs and colors which symbolize their country's and city's cultural image on textile products and displaying their own identity and peculiarity. On the other hand, Korean lifestyle brands such as Casamia, Hanssem, Kosney, and Art Box do not plan or produce their own design, but will import and sell foreign textile fabric or textile products with high recognition, or copy imported fabric. Thus, their textile design is unsatisfactory to express their own identity and satisfy consumers' needs. Second, as to the development direction required by brand B, a Korean lifestyle brand, the focus was to first, 'design American and European products using colors and techniques which reflect Korean image trends', Second, to create a 'design with Scandinavia's peculiar simplified line and sensitive color', and finally, to make a 'flower pattern design with good sustainable market feasibility'. Based on the direction and 2015 S/S color and textile trends, three concepts were established: Global Tribe, Bunny in the Wonderland, and Beyond Nature. Global Tribe is a folk paintin g(Minhwa) representing the Korean image well, and was reinterpreted in a modern sense. Bunny in the Wonderland is a modern Scandinavian style design using a rabbit, a symbol of brand B, as the main motif. Beyond Nature used a flower motif in various expression techniques and images. A textile design was developed by extracting from a folk painting, a rabbit, and a flower motif and standardizing a motif in watercolor, pen, and graphic techniques. It was digitalized by a scanner and a pattern was made via the steps of color adjustment and repetition. Three kinds of textile designs were developed according to three concepts and four kinds of colorways were made for each design. This study attempted to develop a textile design as Korean-made high value-added textile products. It is meaningful to suggest textile design with Korean cultural images and brand identity. Further study will focus on the development of fashion cultural products and DIY products to commercialize developed textile design.

Complete mitochondrial genome of the hemp borer, Grapholita delineana (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae): Gene variability and phylogeny among Grapholita

        Song Lu,Shi Yuxia,Zhang Hongfei,Wang Zhengbing,Liu Xiaomeng,Yang Mingsheng 한국응용곤충학회 2021 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.24 No.2

The mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) has been extensively used in phylogenetics and species-level evolu tionary investigations. The lepidopteran family Tortricidae (leaf-roller moths), including the genus Grapholita, contains numerous species of economic importance, but for the majority of Grapholita species, their mitogenomes remain poorly studied. Here, we sequence and annotate the full mitogenome of Grapholita delineana, an important pest of hemp worldwide and compare it with the mitogenomes of two congeneric species available from GenBank. The G. delineana mitogenome is 15,599 bp long, including 37 typical mitochondrial genes and an A + T-rich region. Gene content, order and orientation are identical to other reported tortricid mitogenomes. Analyses of nucleotide diversity, Ka/Ks, genetic distance and number of variable sites together suggest that nad6 is the fastest-evolving gene among the mitochondrial PCGs of Grapholita. Our analyses indicate that Grapholita, as presently defined, is not monophyletic, confirming previous morphological and multiple-gene studies, using mitogenomic evidence. Our study provides information on comparative mitogenomics of Tortricidae especially Grapholita.

Kinematics and dynamics analysis of the 3PUS-PRU parallel mechanism module designed for a novel 6-DOF gantry hybrid machine tool

Song Lu,Yangmin Li,Bingxiao Ding 대한기계학회 2020 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.34 No.1

A hybrid kinematic machine (HKM) tool with the respective advantages of serial and parallel mechanism is a significant direction for the innovation and development of current advanced sophisticated manufacturing equipment. This paper considers the configuration design, kinematics analysis and dynamics analysis of a 1-translational-3-rotational (1T3R) parallel manipulator, which acts as the main movement module of a novel 6-DOF reconfigurable HKM. The key parallel manipulator with 4 DOFs is composed of one middle PRU kinematic chain and three identical PUS kinematic chains. First, complete kinematics characteristics, including position, velocity, acceleration and jerk, are deeply analyzed by a vector analysis approach. Reachable position workspace and orientation workspace were derived through the workspace boundary search method. Furthermore, complete inverse dynamics model of the 3PUS-PRU parallel manipulator was formulated by virtue of the virtual work principle with considering the inertial and gravitational properties of struts. Finally, a driving power and energy consumption model of each actuated motor under the prescribed trajectory were obtained, resulting in the decouple contribution of each motion part correspondingly. This systematic and rigorous methodology aims at laying a solid theoretical and technical foundation for configuration design and performance analysis of this homologous type HKM.

      • Pollen record of the centennial climate changes during 9-7 cal ka BP in the Changjiang (Yangtze) River Delta plain, China

        Song, Bing,Li, Zhen,Lu, Houyuan,Mao, Limi,Saito, Yoshiki,Yi, Sangheon,Lim, Jaesoo,Li, Zhen,Lu, Anqing,Sha, Longbing,Zhou, Rui,Zuo, Xinxin,Pospelova, Vera Cambridge University Press 2017 Quaternary research Vol.87 No.2

        Abstract
We reconstructed the centennial climate changes for the period of 9-7 cal ka BP in the upper region of the Changjiang (Yangtze) River Delta plain. A general warming and wetting trend from 8560 to 7220 cal yr BP was indicated by the decrease in Quercus (deciduous) and increases in Quercus (evergreen), Pinus, and Polypodiaceae spores. However, there were several brief climate fluctuations. A notable palynological change, from regional assemblages dominated by arboreal pollen to local assemblages mainly consisting of nonarboreal pollen, reflects climate fluctuations. The key indices of Quercus (deciduous), Pinus, herbs, fern spores, and palynological concentrations showed similar signs of centennial climate fluctuations. We suggest that the climate changes of the Dongge Cave and Yangtze River Delta regions were mainly affected by the East Asian summer monsoon (EASM) during the period of 9-7 cal ka BP. The general warming trend may be associated with an intensified EASM, and solar activity may be one of the important factors driving the centennial climate changes. The ~8.2 ka event was also recorded in the Yangtze River Delta region, which suggests that there was a close relationship between the EASM and Greenland climate during the early Holocene.

Synthesis of novel hierarchically porous Fe3O4@MgAl–LDH magnetic microspheres and its superb adsorption properties of dye from water

        Lu Lu,Jia Li,Dickon H.L. Ng,Ping Yang,Peng Song,Min Zuo 한국공업화학회 2017 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.46 No.-

Hierarchically porous Fe3O4@MgAl–LDH magnetic microspheres were reported as novel efficientadsorbent for the removal of anionic dye from water. The as-prepared microspheres had vertically/slantly/horizontally oriented platelets-coated morphology, and exhibited superb adsorption capacity of813.0 mg/g for Congo red (CR), which was the highest reported value of magnetic adsorbents. Theadsorption kinetics and isotherm of CR on microspheres followed the pseudo-second-order andLangmuir model, respectively, and the adsorption processes were spontaneous and endothermic innature. The adsorbed samples could be regenerated by methanol, and easily magnetically separated fromaqueous solution. The synthesized materials might act as excellent adsorbents for environmentalprocesses.

      • Interaction of Heliothis armigera Nuclear Polyhedrosis Viral Capsid Protein with its Host Actin

        Lu, Song-Ya,Qi, Yi-Peng,Ge, Guo-Qiong 생화학분자생물학회 2002 Journal of biochemistry and molecular biology Vol.35 No.6

In order to find the cellular interaction factors of the Heliothis armigera nuclear polyhedrosis virus capsid protein VP39, a Heliothis armigera cell cDNA library was constructed. Then VP39 was used as bait. The host actin gene was isolated from the cDNA library with the yeast two-hybrid system. This demonstrated that VP39 could interact with its host actin in yeast. In order to corroborate this interaction in vivo, the vp39 gene was fused with the green fluorescent protein gene in plasmid pEGFP39. The fusion protein was expressed in the Hz-AM1 cells under the control of the Autographa californica multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus immediate early gene promoter. The host actin was labeled specifically by the red fluorescence substance, tetramethy rhodamine isothicyanete-phalloidin. Observation under a fluorescence microscopy showed that VP39, which was indicated by green fluorescence, began to appear in the cells 6 h after being transfected with pEGFP39. Red actin cables were also formed in the cytoplasm at the same time. Actin was aggregated in the nucleus 9 h after the transfection. The green and red fluorescence always appeared in the same location of the cells, which demonstrated that VP39 could combine with the host actin. Such a combination would result in the actin skeleton rearrangement.

Neuropeptide Y Promotes the Treatment of Adipose Stem Cells on Type 2 Diabetic Wounds

        Lu Tinghuan,Cong Lu,Jiang Tong,Dong Xiao,Song Lili 한국조직공학과 재생의학회 2023 조직공학과 재생의학 Vol.20 No.5

BACKGROUND: Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is a common metabolic disorder. Due to insufficient insulin secretion or insulin resistance, increased blood glucose often leads to impaired wound healing in T2D patients. Our previous research showed that adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) from normal mice and T2D mice improved the cutaneous wound healing of diabetic mice. We also found that the expression of neuropeptide Y (NPY) in T2D ASCs was significantly decreased. METHODS: In order to explore the effects of NPY on ASCs and diabetic wound healing, we investigated the effects of NPY on ASCs proliferation and growth factors expression and secretion, the effects of NPY on skin fibroblasts, and the effects of NPY combined with ASCs on T2D wound healing. RESULTS: The results showed that a certain concentration of NPY could promote the proliferation and the growth factors expression and secretion of ASCs, and promote the proliferation and migration of fibroblasts. At the same time, NPY and ASCs have a synergistic effect, which can promote wound healing and decrease inflammation in T2D wounds. NPY may regulate ASCs through the ERK pathway. These results are conducive to promoting ASCs and NPY in the treatment of diabetic wounds. CONCLUSIONS: NPY can promote the effect of ASCs in the treatment of diabetic wounds.

      • The Design and Implementation of HSP Real-time Prediction Technology Suitable for TBM Construction

        ( Song Lu ),( Cangsong Li ),( Xu Wang ),( Jianfang Ding ) 대한지질공학회 2019 대한지질공학회 학술발표회논문집 Vol.2019 No.2

In order to realize the real-time geological prediction that suitable for TBM construction tunnel, this paper take HSP geological prediction technology which can directly use rock-breaking vibrations generated by TBM cutters as foundation, and optimized the hardware and software of HSP system by analyzing the TBM fuselage and tunneling characteristics, so as to make it miniaturized, automated and intellectualized. The system has been installed on TBM for intelligent control and real-time prediction. During the TBM tunneling process: firstly, seismic reflection signals are collected continuously or frequently by geophones located in tunnel contours; secondly, the reflection characteristic parameters of stratum ahead of the tunnel face are acquired in real time through automatic processing; next, the effective pick-up and identification of unfavorable geological reflection interfaces are completed by intelligent recognition technology, which finally realized the prediction of unfavorable geological conditions. Therefore, through the optimization design of HSP method that suitable for TBM tunnel construction, real-time detection of the location, scale and properties of the unfavorable geological body can be achieved. This proposed technology can plays a certain role in promoting the efficient construction of TBM, which is of great significance.

p13 from group II baculoviruses is a killing-associated gene

( Nan Lu ),( En Qi Du ),( Yang Kun Liu ),( Hong Qiao ),( Lun Guang Yao ),( Zi Shu Pan ),( Song Ya Lu ),( Yi Peng Qi ) 생화학분자생물학회(구 한국생화학분자생물학회) 2012 BMB Reports Vol.45 No.12

p13 gene was first described in Leucania separata multinuclear polyhedrosis virus (Ls-p13) several years ago, but the function of P13 protein has not been experimentally investigated to date. In this article, we indicated that the expression of p13 from Heliothis armigera single nucleocapsid nucleopolyhedrovirus (Ha-p13) was regulated by both early and late promoter. Luciferase assay demonstrated that the activity of Ha-p13 promoter with hr4 enhancer was more than 100 times in heterologous Sf9 cells than that in nature host Hz-AM1 cells. Both Ls-P13 and Ha-P13 are transmembrane proteins. Confocal microscopic analysis showed that both mainly located in the cytoplasm membrane at 48 h. Results of RNA interference indicated that Ha-p13 was a killing-associated gene for host insects H. armigera. The AcMNPV acquired the mentioned killing activity and markedly accelerate the killing rate when expressing Ls-p13. In conclusion, p13 is a killing associated gene in both homologous and heterologous nucleopolyhedrovirus. [BMB Reports 2012; 45(12): 730-735]
