The thermal decomposition of the sludge with Poly(acryloniti1e-butadiene-styrene) and Poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile) were using a thermal analysis techniques in the stream of nitrogen gas of 30ml/min at various heating rates from 4 to 20℃/min. The mathematical, Derivative and Integral method were used to obtained values of activation energy of decomposition reaction. 1. The values of activation energy evaluated by Derivative and Intergral method were consistent with each other very well. 2. The maximum value of heat of decomposition evaluated by DSC method were 10, 120 cal/g at weight ratio of sludge/ABS=20/80 and 10, 500cal/g at weight ratio of sludge/SAN = 20/80. 3. The thermogravimetric trace curve agreed with the theoretical equation.

The thermal decomposition of the sludge and LDPS resin were heating rates from 4 to 20℃/min. The Derivative and Integral method were used to obtained values of activation energy of decomposition reaction. 1. The values of activation energy evaluated by Derivative and Intergral method were consistent with each other very well. 2. The maximum value of heat of decomposition evaluated by DSC method was 9,550cal/g at weight ratio of sludge/LDPS=20/80.

The kinetics of thermal degradation on blend of the paper sludge and waste styrene copolymer, such as high density polystyrene(HDPA), low density polystyrene (LDPS), poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile)(SAN), poly(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene)(ABS) were anaryzed using the thermal analysis, pyrolysis gas chromatography with the stream of nitrogen gas(30ml/min) and infra-red spectroscopy at isothermal temperature(200, 250, 300, 350℃). 1. The values of apparent activation energy evaluated by DTA method was consistent with eath other very well. 2. The maximum value of heat of decomposition evaluated by DSC method was 80% ABS and 20% paper sludge(11,120cal/g) 3. The thermal degradation of PS/sludge was considered to be carried out by the main chain scission and ABS/sludge, SAN/sludge were to be carried out by the randim chain scission over 300℃. The thermogravimetric trace curve agreed with the theoretical equation.GC

Thermal decomposition of the copolymers of α-methylstyrene(α-MS) with Acrylonitrile(AN) were investigated. The copolymers were obtained in a continuous stirred tank reactor(CSTR) using toluene and benzoyl peroxide, as solvent and initiator, respectively, at 75℃. The thermal decomposition followed the first order kinetics. Otherwise the copolymerization in a CSTR followed the second order kinetics. The activation energies of copolymerization and thermal decomposition are 17.9㎉/㏖, 17~58㎉/㏖, respectively, in a CSTR.
고립성 폐결절의 조직학적 진단에 있어서 경기관지폐생검의 진단적 가치

Transbronchial lung biopsy(TBLB) is a relatively simple and convenient diagnostic tool in solitary pulmonary nodule(SPN) on chest radiograph, which is cannot be diagnosed through routine tests. To investigate the diagnostic value and diagnostic rate of TBLB according to the variable factor, we analyzed 69 patients with radiologically SPN lesion on chest radiograph which was confirmed histologically. A histologic diagnosis of TBLB was made in 47 of 69 patients(68.1%), in which 26 of 37(70.3%) with malignancy and 21 of 32(65.6%) with benign lesion. There were no significant differences in diagnostic yield according to age, sex and location of the lesion. The diagnostic rate tended to increase with the more than 5 pieces to acquired by TBLB. When the size of SPN was less than 3 ㎝, it cannot be diagnosed. In conclusion, TBLB is a diagnostic procedure with good yield and safety, but percutaneous needle aspiration, transbronchial needle aspiration, and bronchial washing fluid cytology may be a complementary procedure to overcome the limitation of TBLB and get higher diagnostic yield for SPN.
젤라틴에 메틸메타크릴레이트로 유화중합시킨 그라프트 폴리머의 열분해에 관한 연구

Emulsion graft copolymerization with sodium lauryl sulfate(SLS) of methyl methacrylate(MMA) onto gelatin was carried out in aqueous solution by potassium persulfate(KPS) as an initiator and thermal degradation of graft copolymer was stuied using a dynamic and isothermal thermogravimetry in the stream of nitrogen gas with 60㎖/min at various heating rate from 4 to 20℃/min, and various time at 200℃ The optimun concentration on emulsion graft copolymerization of KPS, gelatin, MMA, reaction temperature and time were 12×10^(-4)㏖/ℓ, 6g, 6.3×10^(-1)㏖/ℓ, 65℃ and 4hours, respectively. The activation energy of polymerization was 17.8 ㎉/㏖. The range of activation energies of decomposition obtained using Friedman's method was between49~57 ㎉/㏖ and using Ozawa's method was between 44~52㎉/㏖. The thermal degradation of gelatin-g-PMMA is likely due to decomposition of PMMA branches dominantely.
Recurrent Epidural Fluid Collection after Cranioplasty

Cranioplasty following decompressive craniectomy is regarded as a relatively simple and safe procedure to protect the brain and improve neurological function. However, some serious complications, such as infection, hematoma, bone resorption, seizure, and epidural or subdural fluid collection may develop after cranioplasty. Among these complications, epidural fluid collection after cranioplasty is not well described and with limited reports on the same. Here, we report recurrent epidural fluid collection after cranioplasty, eventually necessitating the removal of the bone flap. This study discusses the possible pathological mechanisms of this undesirable complication with a review of the literature.

Sclerosing panniculitis is a type of chronic subcutaneous inflammation involving lower legs characterized by hyperpigmentation and induration, causing `inverted champagne bottle` or `bowling pin` appearance. A 43-year-old woman presented with localized hyperpigmented nodules on both lower legs for 4 years. Her legs were apparently indurated and contracted at the ankle with edematous calf, consistent with characteristic deformity of sclerosing panniculitis. Her body mass index score was measured by 31kg/m2. Histopathologic analysis revealed lobular pannicultis, fat necrosis and thick, fibrotic septum with no evidence of vasculitis. The lobule had various sized fat cysts lined by a thin layer of protein that has fine, feathery projections into the fat cavity. From these findings, she was diagnosed with sclerosing panniculitis. Herein, we present a case of sclerosing panniculitis in an obese middle-aged woman clinically manifested as typical `inverted champagne bottle` appearance.

While lymphangioma circumscriptum may present anywhere on the body, the vulva is a rare site. However, vulvar involvement can occur in some clinical settings, and Crohn’s disease is one of the underlying etiologies of acquired lymphangioma circumscriptum. A 31-year-old woman presented with an 8-year history of widespread verruciform plaques on her vulva. She complained of a mild itching sensation at the lesion site. She was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease 11 years prior but had not been treated. She had no history of trauma or surgery in the perineal area and no familial history of cancer or hereditary disorders. The histopathologic findings were consistent with lymphangioma. Based on the clinicopathologic findings, the patient was diagnosed with lymphangioma circumscriptum on the vulva. Herein, we report a rare case of acquired lymphangioma circumscriptum of the vulva mimicking condyloma acuminatum in a patient with Crohn’s disease. (Korean J Dermatol 2020;58(2):134∼137)

Syphilis is an infective disease mainly transmitted through sexual contact caused by Treponema pallidum. The natural course of syphilis infection is divided into primary, secondary and tertiary stage. Primary stage usually manifests as syphilitic chancre, which is ulcerative lesion developed at the inoculation site after incubation period. Chancre usually develops in the genital area, but can involve any sites of the human body. Currently, increasing diversity in sexual activity can lead to extragenital manifestation of chancre. A 53-year-old man presented with multiple asymptomatic oral ulcers located in upper and lower lips for 4 months. Skin lesion of other site including genital area was not apparent. Histopathological examination of the lips revealed plasma cell infiltration and vascular proliferation with endothelial swelling in the dermis. Spirochetes were demonstrated by Warthin starry stain. Venereal disease research laboratory (VDRL) test was positive with a titer of 1:32 and Treponema pallidum haemagglutination (TPHA) test, fluorescent treponema antibody IgM and IgG were reactive. From these findings, he was diagnosed with primary syphilis manifested as oral ulcers. Thus, clinicians should take primary syphilis into consideration in diagnosing ulcerative lesions of oral area.
