GENERALIZED WEYL S THEOREM FOR ALGEBRAICALLY k-QUASI-PARANORMAL OPERATORS
D. Senthilkumar,P. Maheswari Naik,N. Sivakumar 충청수학회 2012 충청수학회지 Vol.25 No.4
An operator T 2 B(H) is said to be k-quasi-paranormal operator if kTk+1xk2 · kTk+2xkkTkxk for every x 2 H, k is a natu- ral number. This class of operators contains the class of paranormal operators and the class of quasi - class A operators. In this paper, using the operator matrix representation of k-quasi-paranormal op- erators which is related to the paranormal operators, we show that every algebraically k-quasi-paranormal operator has Bishop s prop- erty (¯), which is an extension of the result proved for paranormal operators in [32]. Also we prove that (i) generalized Weyl s theorem holds for f(T) for every f 2 H(¾(T)); (ii) generalized a - Browder s theorem holds for f(S) for every S Á T and f 2 H(¾(S)); (iii) the spectral mapping theorem holds for the B - Weyl spectrum of T.

This paper deals with the influence of silicon carbide (SiC) nanopowder in R134 a refrigerant used in a vapor compression refrigeration system. The performance study was done by mixing a SiC nanopowder in R134a refrigerant. The energy consumption of the R134a refrigerant with SiC nanoparticles mixture saves 20% energy with 0.25% mass fraction of SiC nanoparticles when compared to the R134a system. The COP of the refrigerant R134a system is 1.24 whereas COP for R134a-SiC nanopowder is 1.81. The SiC nanopowder is cryogenically treated at −196 ∘ −196∘ C for 24 h and the COP is found out. The results show that the COP of R134a-SiC nanopowder and R134a-cryo SiC (cryogenically treated silicon carbide nanopowder) is increased when compared to the R134a conventional refrigeration system.

This paper is to study the performance of vapour compression refrigeration system using, hydrocarbon refrigerant (HCR) mixture (R600a & R290), hydrocarbon nanorefrigerant mixture (R600a & R290/TiC) and cryogenically treated hydrocarbon nanorefrigerant mixture (R600a & R290/ Cryo TiC). The COP of HCR (R600a & R290) system is 1.2960 whereas COP of R600a & R290/TiC nano refrigerant system is 1.5223. The TiC nano powder is cryogenically treated at -196°C for 24 hours. The treated TiC is dispersed in HCR mixture. Hence, the COP of R600a & R290- Cryo TiC system is further increased to 1.5801. The energy consumption of R600a & R290-TiC is reduced by 10.3% when compared with HCR. Further it is reduced by 12.69% with respect to Cryogenically treated refrigerant (R600a & R290/Cryo TiC) system. The COP is enhanced due to deep cryogenic of TiC nano powder .

We have investigated the effect of strong p-type organic semiconductor F4-TCNQ-doped CuPc hole transport layer on the performance of p-i-n hetero-junction photovoltaic device from ITO/PEDOT:PSS/CuPc:F4-TCNQ (5wt%)/CuPc:C60 (blending ratio 1:1)/C60/BCP/LiF/Al, fabricated via vacuum deposition process and have evaluated the J-V characteristics such as short circuit current (Jsc), open circuit voltage (Voc), fill factor (FF) and energy conversion efficiency (ηe) of the device. By doping of F4-TCNQ into CuPc hole transport layer, absorption intensities in absorption spectra were increased, which supports that uniform dispersion of organic molecules in the hole transport layer with lowered value of surface roughness can be obtained. Eventually, current injection was enhanced through the layer, which comparatively improves the performance of the photovoltaic cell with energy conversion efficiency of 0.50% in this study.

The dielectric behavior of stearic acid in 1,4-dioxane medium at various temperature 303 K–288 K and frequency regime (10 MHz–30 GHz) determined from the complex dielectric permittivity spectra obtained by Time Domain Reflectometry(TDR). In this frequency range, the dielectric study gives the electrostatic interaction as well as orientational polarizability of complex mixtures of long chain molecules significantly. Dielectric parameters were calculated from the complex spectra of the binary mixture by non linear least square fit method. The excess permittivity (εE), correlation factors were calculated for the binary system. Thermal parameters(ΔH-enthalpy, ΔS-entropy and ΔG-Gibbs free energy) were calculated and the direction of reaction is determined. The FTIR spectrum of the binary system recorded and the assignments are discussed. The FTIR spectral assignments confirm the molecular interactions.

In the Indian traditional medicine, Lippia nodiflora (Verbenaceae) whole plant is claimed to possess powerful diuretic activity. However, the diuretic potential of this plant is not yet investigated. The aim of this study was to evaluate the diuretic potential of methanol extract of Lippia nodiflora (MELN) in rats. Control (0.9% saline solution, 25 ml/kg, b.w) or urea (1 g/kg b.w) or frusemide (5 mg/kg b.w) and different concentrations of MELN (200 and 400 mg/kg b.w) were intraperitoneally administered (n = 6 per each treatment group) to hydrated rats and their urine output was monitored over a period of 5 h and 24 h after drug administration. The diuretic responses with its electrolyte excretion potency of the extract were highly remarkable in comparison with control animals. The extract at doses of 200 and 400 mg/kg shows a significant increase in volume of urine with increase in $Na^{+}$, $Ca^{2+}$ and $Cl^{-}$ excretion accompanied by the excretion of $K^{+}$ in dose dependent manner. This study suggests that the active component(s) in MELN had similar diuretic effect to that of frusemide. These results validate the traditional use of Lippia nodiflora as a diuretic agent.

<P>We have investigated the second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of CVD-grown MoS2 monolayer (ML) transferred onto transparent substrates such as fused silica and polyethylene terephthalate. The physical properties of the transferred MLs were characterized by optical and NLO methods. We measured the second-order susceptibility chi((2)) in the spectral range of lambda = 1064-1600 nm in which the corresponding second harmonic radiation resonates with the exciton levels. It was found that chi((2)) is strongly enhanced by up to a factor of 5 near the A-and B-exciton levels due to two-photon resonance. The absolute chi((2)) values of our samples determined by both reflection and transmission geometry are on par with that of as-grown MLs. Our results imply that the cavity-confinement scheme can be employed for maximizing the nonlinear optical efficiency of atomically thin transition metal dichalcogenides for transparent/flexible optoelectronics applications, especially when oriented stacking of transferred MLs are controllable.
