PHOTOMETRIC OBSERVATIONS OF BW VUL

We present the data of photoelectric photometric observations of BW Vul carried out for four nights during the period of $1982{\sim}1984$. The light curves with asymmetric shape show a stillstand on the ascending branch at phase of ${\phi}{\approx}0.85$ just before the maximum light, and also the ampitude and shape of light curves are changed from night to night. Using all the published data, a new ephemeris of maximum time is derived, in which the period of light variation is $P=0^d.20102977$ and its increasing rate is 2.2 see/century.

窒素의 施用量과 燐酸 및 加里의 施用有無 및 MgO의 葉面撤布에 따른 米質의 변화를 究明하기 위하여 동진벼를 供試하여 窒素 12, 14 및 16㎏/10a와 燐酸과 加里 6 및 8㎏/10a의 處理를 한 區와 出穗直前 MgO를 1회 및 2회 處理한 區 및 對照區의 生育 및 收量과 米質의 검정을 한 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 1. 株當穗數와 登熟率은 窒素施用量 14㎏/10a 및 燐酸과 加里施用量 6 및 8㎏/10a 處理區에서 가장 높게 나타났고, 窒素 16㎏/10a 處理區에서는 오히려 감소하였다. 2.窒素施用量의 증가에 따른 收量의 증가가 인정되었고, 14㎏/10a 處理區에서 가장 높았으며, 16㎏/10a 處理區에서는 다소 감소하였다. 그리고 燐酸과 加里의 施用에 따른 收量 증가가 컸다. 3.Amylose 含量과 alkali 崩壞度는 窒素施用量의 증가에 따라 증가되었으며, MgO 撤布에 따른 차이가 1회 撤布時보다 2회 撤布에는 含量의 저하가 나타났다. 4.窒素施用量의 증가에 따라 米粒內의 蛋白質과 칼륨含量은 增加하는 반면 마그네슘함량은 減少하였다. A study was carried out to investigate the effect of nitrogen, phosphate, potassium and magnesium application on growth, yield and quality of paddy rice. The experiments were treated with 12, 14 and 16㎏/10a nitrogen, 6㎏/10a phosphate and 8㎏/10a potassium application, and magnesium was sprayed to once and twice in right before heading and 10days after heading. The results obtained were as follows ; 1. There were a higher number of panicles per hill and ripening ratio in 14㎏/10a nitrogen, 6㎏/10a phosphate and 8㎏/10a potassium treated plot then other plot, but those were decreased 16㎏/10a nitrogen treated plot. 2. Yield per 10a was increased according to the increase of nitrogen application and was a higher in 14㎏/10a nitrogen treated plot, but was decreased in 16㎏/10a nitrogen treaded plot, and it was increased to treat phosphate and potassium. 3. Amylose contents and alkali digestibility values were increased according to the increase of nitrogen application, and were decreased more twice than once in magnesium sprayed plot. 4. Protein and potassium contents of rice grain were increased according to the increase of nitrogen application, but magnesium content was decreased.

The well defined prominent high cheek bones is classically a sign of beauty in western culture, since the ideal facial configuration is oval and persons with high cheek bones seem to retain their youghful appearance longer than average. But in our cultural background, the persons with prominent malar regions may be unlucky or unfortunate during her or his life andso want to reduce prominent malar regions. We performed reduction malarplasty with various approach methods in 6 patients who complained prominent malar regions with or without prominent zygomatic arch area, and after the operation the patients were satisfied with the results. This article present materials, preoperative check, operative method, result and discussion for the following malarplasty.

The purpose of this survey was to obtain information about the status. attitudes and values KNUPE' 1996 freshmen. A questionnaire was administered to 345 KNUPE freshmen. Data was analyzed by SPSS, a computer statistical package and the results of comparing the responses to each question with respect to sex and department were presented. The conclusions obtained from the results and discussions of this study are as follows: First, freshmen could be categorized into two groups having different views towards university life and in their plans for the future. Therefore the faculty and staff should take these into consideration when they establish university policies. Second, great concern was shared by many with regards to their career and systematic help is needed to develop mature occupational identity. therefore, the student guidance center is planning to introduce a group counseling program starting in the spring of 1997. This study is limited because the survey had a low response rate. It is imperative that the faculty and staff be more cooperative in this survey to better understand the interest of all students.

Nowadays all-metal induction heating (IH) cooktops have become popular for heating various pots quickly and safely. A load adaptive modulation (LAM) method was proposed to improve the IH power delivery capability and the cost-eff ectiveness of an all-metal IH system. However, this method shows poor power conversion effi ciency under light-load conditions since a high switching loss is induced using the pulse frequency modulation (PFM) method in the series resonant inverters for IH applications. In this paper, a multi-mode control strategy for an IH system employing the LAM method is proposed to improve light-load effi ciency when compared with the conventional LAM method. The proposed multi-mode control algorithm automatically changes its modulation according to the pots’ material-dependent resistance. The modulation method is selected to improve the light-load effi ciency using the proposed control strategy. Experimental results demonstrate the validity and performance of the proposed multi-mode control algorithm with a 2-kW prototype IH series resonant inverter and various-material pots.
