The Impact of Organizational Commitment on Employee Motivation: A Study in Vietnamese Enterprises
NGUYEN, Hoai Nam,LE, Quoc Hoi,TRAN, Quang Bach,TRAN, Thi Hoang Mai,NGUYEN, Thi Hai Yen,NGUYEN, Thi Thuy Quynh Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.6
The study examines direct and indirect impacts of organizational commitment on employee motivation through two mediating factors - opportunistic behavior and knowledge sharing - in Vietnamese enterprises. The samples were selected by the non-probability sampling method followed convenient sampling, relatively stratified by localities in Vietnam. The sample size was 636 employees in Vietnamese enterprises. The number of collected online questionnaires was 379, while the number of valid questionnaires was 329. In the direct survey, the number of distributed questionnaires was 750, while the number of collected questionnaires was 421 and the number of valid questionnaires was 307. The total number of valid questionnaires used for analysis was 636. The study used quantitative methods with structural equation modeling analysis. The results indicate that among the components of organizational commitment, normative commitment has both direct and indirect impacts on employee motivation through two mediating factors: opportunistic behavior and knowledge sharing. Meanwhile, affective commitment has only an indirect impact on employee motivation through these mediating factors. Continuance commitment has both direct and indirect impacts; however, it has only an indirect impact on employee motivation through opportunistic behavior. In addition, the results show opportunistic behavior has a negative impact on the knowledge sharing of employees in enterprises.

Acid leaching and a two-step solvent extraction procedure were developed to produce high purity mixture of La and Ce from iron-rich spent FCC catalyst discharged from Dzung Quat refinery (Vietnam). Acid leaching of the spent catalyst with 2M HNO3 and a solid-to-liquid ratio of 1/3 at 80 oC in 1 h dissolved almost 90% of La while 12% of Al and 25% of Fe were transferred to the leachate. The extraction of RE metals and main impurities such as Al and Fe by a mixture of di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) and tributyl phosphate (TBP) was investigated. Experiments showed that it was necessary to remove Fe before extracting RE and the optimum extraction conditions for a high recovery of RE while 0% of Al extraction were pH1, contact time=10min, and D2EHPA/TBP volume ratio= 4 : 1. At these conditions, the extraction yields of La(III) and Ce(III) were 72% and 89%, respectively. A two-step solvent extraction was developed to achieve a high purity of RE mixture, which included (1) the removal of impurity Fe by 25% (v/v) diisooctyl phosphinic acid (DiOPA) in n-octane for 140 min, (2) the extraction of rare earths by a mixture of di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) and tributyl phosphate (TBP) in n-octane for 10 min without the need for adjusting the pH of the leaching solution.

Phytochemical investigation of Kandelia candel resulted in the isolation of six triterpenes (1 - 5) and two glyceryl glycosides (6 and 7) and their structures were determined by comparing the spectroscopic data with those of reported values. In present study, we described the inhibitory effects of fractions and isolated compounds from K. candel on pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-12 p40, IL-6, and TNF-a) production in lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulated bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (BMDCs). Results indicated that compounds 3, 6, and 7 showed potent inhibition on IL-6 production (IC50 values at less than 0.5 mM, respectively). Meanwhile, compounds 6 and 7 exhibited strong inhibitory effects on the production of TNF-a (IC50 values of 1.7 ? 0.1 and 5.5 ? 0.2 mM). Compounds 1 and 3 were also showed the inhibitory effects on IL-12 p40 production (IC50 values of 8.9 ? 0.4 and 3.3 ? 0.1 mM, respectively).
Ultra-broadband and flexible metamaterial absorber based on MoS2 cuboids with Mie resonances
Ha Duong Thi,Nam Man Hoai,Tung Bui Son,Khuyen Bui Xuan,Lam Vu Dinh,Le-Van Quynh 한국물리학회 2023 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.82 No.11
In this work, we present a type of fexible and broadband metamaterial absorber operating in the GHz range. The proposed structure consists of three layers: a periodic square-shaped array made of molybdenum disulfde (MoS2) on the top, a continuous polyimide layer in the middle and a continuous copper layer at the bottom. For fat model, the proposed absorber exhibits a broadband absorption in the frequency range of 10.1–17.6 GHz with an absorption of more than 90% under normal incidence. Due to the symmetry of structure, the absorption feature is polarization-insensitive. The absorption remains above 80% in the frequency range of 11.1–15.6 GHz when the incident angle is up to 60° for TE-polarized wave, while the absorption is higher than 90% in the frequency range of 13.5–18 GHz for incident angles up to 60° for TM-polarized wave. For bending model, the absorption is signifcantly expanded when the bending radius decreases to under 100 mm. The physical mechanism of the absorption properties is explained in detail by the electric feld distribution, the magnetic feld distribution following the Mie resonance theory and infuence of the loss of MoS2. Obtained results in the work might contribute to the development of potential applications based on metamaterials in the microwave region such as imaging, protecting and light emitting devices.

Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors(PPARs) are ligand-activated transcription factors thatregulate the expression of multiple genes involved inmetabolic, anti-inflammatory, and developmental processes. This study evaluated the PPARs transactivationaleffects of thirteen cembranoid diterpenoids 1–13 from thesoft coral Lobophytum crassum, using PPAR-responsiveelements–luciferase reporter and GAL4–PPAR chimeraassays. All isolated compounds activated the transcriptionof PPARs in a dose-dependent manner, with EC50 valuesranging from 2.07 ± 1.73 to 130.20 ± 1.85 lM. Moreover, compounds 6–9 affected the transactivation of allthree PPAR types, PPARa, c, b(d), in a dose-dependentmanner, with EC50 values in a ranging from 11.92 ± 1.23to 122.50 ± 2.12 lM. These results provide a scientificrationale for further studies on the soft coral L. crassum andits diterpenoid constituents to develop medicinal productsagainst inflammatory and metabolic diseases.

Large-grain-size and void-free CH3NH3PbI3 films with bilayer structure are fabricated by spin-coating a PbI2 layer onto a mesoporous TiO2 layer and sequentially spraying CH3NH3I (methylammonium iodide, MAI) multilayers. The sprayer is controlled by a homemade three-axis computer numerical control machine; thus, the substrates are coated by successive parallel passes achieved by moving the nozzle. Spray deposition at the optimal spray rate and substrate temperature produces a large-grain-size and void-free methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI3) bilayer structure. The mesoporous TiO2 layer plays an important role in electron transport by preventing the return of electrons to the perovskite layer and decreasing the contact resistance at the perovskite/ compact TiO2/fluorine tin oxide interface. When the films are incorporated into a solar cell device with a conductive carbon counter electrode, a maximum power conversion efficiency of 10.58% is realised.
