Recent issues in the automotive industries are, improvement of fuel efficiency according to the worldwide CO2 regulation, passenger safety through enhanced crashworthiness, superior design and cost reduction due to price fluctuation of raw material, To meet these demands, steelmaking companies are developing advanced high strength steel and new process technologies such as hydroforming, TWB (Tailor Welded Blank), hot stamping and so on. In addition, eco-friendly and high corrosion resistant coating technologies are getting more attention to comply with the environmental regulations. In this paper, reviews and prospects of recent coating technologies for automotive use are presented.

Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a heterogeneous entity that encompasses several subtypes with distinct molecular characteristics. The patients with TNBCs show unpredictable response to the chemotherapy, and further there is the lack of effective agents. Thus, many studies have been underway to discover targeted therapy suitable for patients with specific genetic alterations in each molecular subtypes. TNBCs are classified as four major molecular subtypes according to the gene expression patterns. These are luminal androgen receptor (LAR), mesenchymal-like, immunomodulatory (IM), and basal-like types. Conclusion: Here, we discuss the unique molecular features of each subtype as well as promising targets for anti-cancer therapy.
불면증 환자에 대한 침치료 전후 정량화 뇌파 분석: Z Scored Absolute Power and sLORETA

Objectives: To investigate the neurophysiological effect of acupuncture treatment on insomnia patients using quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG) and standardized Low Resolution Brain Electromagnetic Tomography method (sLORETA). Background: Insomnia is one of the commonly encountered symptoms in primary medical care. Recent studies of acupuncture for insomnia reported that the acupuncture groups showed significant improvements compared with the control groups. However, the neurophysiological mechanism of acupuncture in the treatment of insomnia has not been revealed and a few studies have measured the effect of acupuncture treatment using QEEG. Methods: Participants who had some problems in initiating or maintaining sleep, or had non-restorative sleep for more than 3 days a week and ISI scores above 8 and below 21 were treated by acupuncture for 2 weeks (3 times a week, total 6 times). We assessed the effectiveness of acupuncture for insomnia by the PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) at baseline and at 2 weeks after the end of treatment (4th week). Also, we performed EEG and analysed the EEG data at baseline and at the end of treatment (2nd week) on the linked ears montage using the Neuroguide software program and sLORETA. Results: Thirty-two participants were enrolled and 2 participants dropped out because of personal reasons. Among the 30 participants, EEGs of 12 participants were included in the analysis of QEEG and sLORETA. Total score on the ISI and PSQI was significantly decreased after acupuncture treatment. The number of electrodes exceeding the range of 90% (±1.65) or 95% (±1.96) in the z scored absolute power of beta was significantly decreased after acupuncture treatment. There was no significant change in brain activation between pre- and post-acupuncture using sLORETA. Conclusions: The deviation of absolute power compared to the normative database was significantly decreased after acupuncture treatment in the alpha and beta ranges. Therefore, we suggest that acupuncture treatment for insomnia might be effective through the central nervous system especially in the brain. There are many limitations to drawing any conclusion. Further studies are needed in the future to overcome these limitations.

A case of endodermal sinus tumor in the pineal region of a 12-year-old boy is presented. Preponderance of this tumor occurs in the boys, usually in their second decade. The tumor is characterized by perivascular structure (Schiller-Duval body) which simulate endodermal diverticula of yolk sac origin. His serum alpha-fetoprotein levels was abnormally high. (over 400 ng/㎖)He was treated with operation and irradiation of 4500rad to the whole brain and spinal axis. But he died 6 month later after operation. The authors report a case of endodermal sinus tumor arising from pineal gland and briefly review literature.
The Characteristics of Cr-Free Coating Hot Dip Galvanized Sheet Steel

The greatest purpose of chromate treatment is to improve anti-corrosion by stabilizing a metal surface. Because metal surface forms a compound by absorbing oxygen or water in the air by being generally unstable, it is necessary to improve anti-corrosion of the metal by forming the metal surface with a stable film. When considering the economical efficiency and requirements together because the film of the metal surface treated with chromate has good anti-corrosion and the stability also in the air by being compact and strong, Chromate treatment has been used most up to the electronics industry from the auto industry. However, these days, because hexavalent chromium is both a toxic agent to be able to cause cancers and deadly poisonous environmental pollutant, the strong legal controls on its use is being imposed all over the world. Because of this reason, a new anti-corrosion method is being required. Also, by users` various demands, the passivations that have recently been developed require various characteristics such as conductivity, chemical resistance, alkali cleaning resistance as well as anti-corrosion. We could confirm the results such as excellent anti-corrosion compared to chromate, conductivity, chemical resistance and detergent resistance as the result of analysis of various characteristics of the galvannealed sheet steels coated with Cr-Free solution developed in this research.
자동차부품용 SM45C강의 상자소둔 열처리 최적화 연구

Annealing softens steel hardened from cold working by the tandem mill and reversing mill. Many steelmakers using annealing process for machinability of cold steel sheet. In this study, batch type annealing is widely used to produce steel sheets like automobile cold rolled steel sheets and sheets used for the manufacture of automotive parts. We developed a BAF simulator to estimate the effects of BAF conditions on the mechanical properties of SM45C sheet for safety belt buckle . Conditions for the batch annealing process consist of various annealing time and temperature. SM45C sheets require a yield strength (30∼36㎏/㎟), tensile strength (43∼51㎏/㎟) and elongation (32∼37%). The optimum conditions of SM45C sheet for safety belt buckle are 20hr of soaking time and 710℃ of heating temperature at △T 30℃.

Conditions for the batch annealing process consist of same annealing time and different temperature are 10hr of soaking time and 720℃ and 730℃ of heating temperature at △T 30℃. The result of mechanical properties as BAF annealed are obtained increasing YP, TS and HRB, but it are obtained decreasing El. So, we founded that key point of BAF annealed is carbon content.

Tensile tests are widely used for evaluating mechanical properties of materials including flow curves as well as Young`s modulus, yield strength, tensile strength, and yield point elongation. This research aims at analyzing the plastic flow behavior of high strength steels for automotive bodies using the finite element method in conjunction with the viscoplastic model considering the yield point elongation phenomenon. The plastic flow behavior of the high strength steel was successfully predicted, by considering an operating deformation mechanism, in terms of normalization dislocation density, and strain hardening and accumulative damage of high strength steel using the modified constitutive model. In addition, the finite element method is employed to track the properties of the high strength steel pertaining to the deformation histories in a skin pass mill process.
