The impact of store flyer promotion on Chinese consumers' purchase intentions

This study presents two experiments to investigate how store flyer promotion affects Chinese customers' purchase intention. The particular interest is whether store flyers have different influences in different countries. This paper analyzes China, one of the world’s fastest-growing economies as a representative to explore the issue. Specifically, this study proposes a promotion and product characteristics for empirically analyzing the effect of store flyer promotion on Chinese consumers' purchase intention. Tested through two experiments, the results demonstrate that store flyer promotion has a significant positive effect on Chinese consumers’ perceived value and purchase intention. These findings indicate that Chinese consumers are price-oriented rather than quality-oriented, and store flyer promotion are effective marketing tools for Chinese retailers.

This study evaluates the stability of lycopene in the presence of the prepared nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) under different environments and food systems and the in vitro and in vivo antioxidant activity of the lycopene nanostructured lipid carriers (Lyco-NLCs) was studied. As observed in the stability experiment, Lyco-NLCs have good storage stability within 30 days. Food additives have little effect on its stability except for metal ions. Compared with free lycopene, Lyco-NLCs showed an improved antioxidant property. In in-vitro experiments, the DPPH radical scavenging rate, hydroxyl radical scavenging capacity, and ferric reducing capacity of Lyco-NLCs increased by 90.47%, 47.43%, and 45.12%, respectively. The animal experiments showed that the activities of catalase in the kidney, superoxide dismutase in the heart, and glutathione peroxidase in the liver increased by 31.48%, 42.50%, and 21.47%, respectively. The content of malondialdehyde in serum decreased by 14.13%. The results have some significance for the practical application of lycopene.
Model-Based Design Methodology for Blind Image Restoration

Blind image restoration is a kind method of image processing by estimating both the original image and the point spread function from degraded images, when there is unknown or not completely know the prior knowledge of the original image and point spread function of imaging. However, blind image restoration is a complex and intensive computing process, and increasing processing speed has been a hot research topic. In this paper, blind image restoration using Self-Deconvolution Data Reconstruction Algorithm (SeDDaRA) is realized by Model-Based Design Methodology. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is not only simple in structure and easy to implement, and can improve the processing speed with good scalability.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is characterized by diffused hepatocyte bullous fat in the liver, which is not caused by alcohol or drugs like amiodarone and tamoxifen. Presently, no drug is approved for NAFLD treatment. Therefore, it’s important to extract effective components from natural plants to alleviate NAFLD. In this study, we extracted and purified raspberry ketone, a natural phenolic compound from red raspberry ( Rubus ideaus L.) by an ultrasonic-assisted ethanol extraction method. The structure of red raspberry ketone (RRK) was determined using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy and the purity of RRK was found as 80.06 ± 1.19%. After 28 days of intragastric administration of RRK, the bodyweight of NAFLD model rats decreased significantly (p < 0.05). Besides, the levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, total cholesterol, and total triglyceride (TG) decreased and the content of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol in serum increased drastically. Moreover, the level of liver damage indicators (aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, and alkaline phosphatase) and the levels of glucose, insulin, free-fatty acid, tumor necrotic factor-α in the liver decreased distinctly. The levels of TG and malondialdehyde in the liver decreased, whereas the levels of superoxide dismutase, total glutathione, and glutathione peroxidase drastically increased. We also found that RRK reduced the uneven size of liver cells and blurred boundaries of hepatic lobules, and alleviated hepatic steatosis and inflammation caused by NAFLD. We inferred that RRK could relieve NAFLD progression by regulating glucose and lipid metabolism and alleviating oxidative stress in vivo. This study sheds new light on the use of RRK as a functional food for NAFLD prevention.
The Construction and Application of Project-Case Teaching Platform Based on Moodle Environment

At present, online teaching platform is applying and promoting gradually. Course management systems have matured rapidly and now are considered critical software for many universities, the Moodle is an open and perfect source course management system. By analyzing the characteristics of specialized courses and learning situation of students majoring in computer science and technology of Computer Department of Jining Normal University, this paper analyzes its feasibility to construct the project-case teaching platform and then builds the platform based on Moodle .finally we take the " theory and technology of CAI " course as an example to apply and test the teaching platform.
Development and validation of reactor nuclear design code CORCA-3D

The advanced node core code CORCA-3D is one of the independent developed codes of NPIC for the nuclear reactor core design. CORCA-3D code can calculate the few-group cross section, solve the 3D diffusion equations, consider the thermal-hydraulic feedback, reconstruct the pin-by-pin power. It has lots of functions such as changing core status calculation, critical searching, control rod value calculation, coefficient calculation and so on. The main theory and functions of CORCA-3D code are introduced and validated with a lot of reactor measured data and the SCIENCE system. Now, CORCA-3D code has been applied in ACP type reactor nuclear cores design.

The global trend toward electrification has encouraged lithium’s market position to grow prominently. Spodumene is the focus of lithium extraction owing to its abundant lithium resources. In this study, anovel lithium extraction method was proposed for a-spodumene by combining activated roasting andsulfuric acid leaching. First, the thermodynamics of the roasting process demonstrated that aspodumenewas converted into b-spodumene, which reacted with CaO to produce acid-solubleLiAlSiO4 and CaSiO3 concurrently. The addition of CaO reduced the melting temperature, which promotedthe structural transformation of b-spodumene and further acid leaching. Then, the influences of variousfactors on lithium extraction were investigated by a single-factor test. A lithium leaching yield of 96.18%was obtained under optimum conditions: 20% CaO, roasting temperature of 1200 C, holding time of1.5 h, H2SO4 concentration of 120 g/L, liquid–solid ratio of 7:1 mL/g, leaching temperature of 80 Cand leaching time of 1.5 h. Finally, Li entered into leach liquor by the action of sulfuric acid, and the maincomponents of the leach residue were silicate and calcium sulfate. Compared to the conventional acidapproach, this method has a higher lithium recovery and lower energy and acid consumption (decreaseby approximately 0.42 kg/ kg).
Extraction of valuable components from coal gangue through thermal activation and HNO3 leaching

Coal gangue has the dual attributes of hazard and resource. With the increasing awareness of resourcesconservation and ecological sustainability, the high-value utilization of coal gangue has attracted activeattention. In this research, thermal activation followed by HNO3 leaching were performed to extract valuablecomponents from coal gangue. Firstly, the activation behavior and phase transformation mechanismduring thermal activation were revealed through the Gibbs free energy calculation and experimentalresearch. After activation, inert kaolinite was converted to active metakaolinite. Subsequently, thepotential-pH diagrams analyses confirmed that the strategy of extracting Al, Ga, and Li into the leachliquor while precipitating Fe into the leach residue was feasible. Meanwhile, systematic leaching experimentsshowed that 95.2% of Al, 56.4% of Ga, and 80.5% of Li were extracted, while only 2.1% of Fe wasdissolved at the optimal conditions. The leaching behavior of each component agreed well with the thermodynamicanalysis. Finally, the raw ore, activated product, and leach residue were analyzed via a suiteof characterization techniques. In contrast to the raw ore and activated product, the leach residue hadlarge BET surface area and high available Si content, and was a promising Si fertilizer source. This studyprovides a useful reference for the high-value utilization of coal gangue.
3D Bioprinted GelMA/PEGDA Hybrid Scaffold for Establishing an In Vitro Model of Melanoma

Due to the high incidence of malignant melanoma, the establishment of in vitro models that recapitulate the tumor microenvironment is of great biological and clinical importance for tumor treatment and drug research. In this study, 3D printing technology was used to prepare GelMA/PEGDA composite scaffolds that mimic the microenvironment of human malignant melanoma cell (A375) growth and construct in vitro melanoma micro-models. The GelMA/PEGDA hybrid scaffold was tested by the mechanical property, cell live/dead assay, cell proliferation assay, cytoskeleton staining and drug loading assay. The growth of tumor cells in two- and three-dimensional culture systems and the anti-cancer effect of luteolin were evaluated using the live/dead staining method and the Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) method. The results showed a high aggregation of tumor cells on the 3D scaffold, which was suitable for long-term culture. Cytoskeleton staining and immunofluorescent protein staining were used to evaluate the degree of differentiation of tumor cells under 2D and 3D culture systems. The results indicated that 3D bioprinted scaffolds were more suitable for tumor cell expansion and differentiation, and the tumor cells were more aggressive. In addition, luteolin was time- and dose-dependent on tumor cells, and tumor cells in the 3D culture system were more resistant to the drug.

The recovery rates of copper (99 %) and cobalt (93 %) could be significantly increased by adding sodiumsulfate in activated roasting of Cobalt-rich copper sulfide (CRCS). The mechanism and kinetic parametersof CRCS roasting with sodium sulfate addition were not clear. Thus, in this study, the thermal roastingkinetics of carrollite (the predominant cobalt occurrence mineral) in CRCS adding Na2SO4 with an airatmosphere was studied in detail by TG-DTG method. The apparent activation energy (E) and preexponentialfactor (A) were obtained via Flynn-Wall-Ozawa method (FWO) and Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose method (KAS) methods, where E values were 113.89 kJmol1 (KAS) and 120.87 kJmol1(FWO). The thermodynamic parameters of the roasting process were evaluated. The model function forthe carrollite reaction was determined via Malek analysis. The mechanism of sodium sulfate additionin CRCS roasting was studied. Results showed that the addition of sodium sulfate in activated roastingcan promote the transformation of carrollite mineral phase. The activation energy value of the oxidationprocess of carrollite decreases. From the kinetic point of view, the addition of sodium sulfate can promotethe activation roasting.
