Active control of amplitude and phase of high-power RF systems in EAST ICRF heating experiments

        Zhu Guanghui,Liu Lunan,Mao Yuzhou,Zhang Xinjun,Guo Yaoyao,Ai Lin,Jiang Runhao,Qin Chengming,Zhang Wei,Yang Hua,Yuan Shuai,Wang Lei,Ju Songqing,Wang Yongsheng,Sun Xuan,Yang Zhida,Wang Jinxin,Cheng Yan 한국원자력학회 2023 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.55 No.2

The EAST ICRF system operating space has been extended in power and phase control with a low-level RF system for the new double-strap antenna. Then the multi-step power and periodic phase scanning experiment were conducted in L-mode plasma, respectively. In the power scanning experiment, the stored energy, radiation power, plasma impedance and the antenna's temperature all have positive responses during the short ramp-ups of PL;ICRF. The core ion temperature increased from 1 keV to 1.5 keV and the core heating area expanded from jZj 5 cmto jZj 10 cm during the injection of ICRF waves. In the phasing scanning experiment, in addition to the same conclusions as the previous relatively phasing scanning experiment, the superposition effect of the fluctuation of stored energy, radiation power and neutron yield caused by phasing change with dual antenna, resulting in the amplitude and phase shift, was also observed. The active control of RF output facilitates the precise control of plasma profiles and greatly benefits future experimental exploration.

Application of HTB-SiHa Cells Transfected with a Recombinant Plasmid for External Quality Assessment of Chlamydia trachomatis PCR

        Kuo Zhang,Hong Huo,Yu Sun,Lunan Wang,Rui Zhang,Guigao Lin,Jiehong Xie,Qingtao Wang,Jinming Li 대한진단검사의학회 2014 Annals of Laboratory Medicine Vol.34 No.5

Background: The participation of laboratories in external quality assessment (EQA) pro- grams is required for the quality assurance of nucleic acid amplification of Chlamydia tra- chomatis . This study aimed to construct a new quality control (QC) material applicated in EQA of C. trachomatis PCR. Methods: A QC material-HTB-SiHa cells transfected with a recombinant plasmid contain- ing the cryptic plasmid sequence-was constructed for C. trachomatis PCR detection, and four different panels, each consisting of 4 positive samples with serial dilution of the con- structed QC material and 1 negative sample, were distributed by the National Center for Clinical Laboratories among four groups of 275, 268, 317, and 304 participants across China from 2011 through 2012. A total of eight commercial kits were used for C. tracho- matis PCR detection in participants. Results: Nine laboratories reported false-positive results (0.9%). As the series dilution in- creased, the correct reporting of the data sets decreased; the lowest correct rate was 96.3% in the weakest positive samples (10 4 copies/mL). Eight laboratories reported false- positive results, and 42 laboratories reported false-negative results in the EQA detection of C. trachomatis . No significant differences were observed in the detection of the con- structed C. trachomatis positive samples (97.9%, 98.5%, 100%, 98.5%; P =0.36) and negative samples (100%, 99.0%, 100%, 99.0%; P =0.764) using four commercial kits commonly used in China. Conclusions: The results of the EQA study indicated that the constructed material pro- vides a noninfectious, stable control material with sufficient volume for PCR detection of C. trachomatis.

Theoretical Mechanism Studies on the Enantioselectivity of aza-MBH-type Reaction of Nitroalkene to N-tosylimine Catalyzed by Thiourea-tertiary Amine

Lu, Nan,Wang, Huatian,Wang, Yangping Korean Chemical Society 2013 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.34 No.12

The enantioselective aza-Morita Baylis Hillman reaction of nitroalkene and N-tosylimine catalyzed by thiourea-tertiary amine has been investigated using density functional theory. Enantioselectivity is dominated by the cooperative effect of non-covalent and weak covalent interactions imposed by different units of catalyst. As Lewis base, the tertiary amine unit activates nitroalkene via weak covalent bond. The weak covalent interaction orients the reaction in a major path with smaller variations of this bond. The aromatic ring unit activates N-tosylimine via ${\pi}-{\pi}$ stacking. The non-covalent interaction selects the major path with smaller changes of the efficient packing areas. Thiourea unit donates more compact H-bonded network for species of the major path. The calculated ee value in xylene solution phase (97.6%) is much higher than that in N,N-Dimethylformamide (27.2%). Our conclusion is also supported by NBO analysis.
