REPRESENTATION AND DUALITY OF UNIMODULAR C*-DISCRETE QUANTUM GROUPS

Lining, Jiang Korean Mathematical Society 2008 대한수학회지 Vol.45 No.2

Suppose that D is a $C^*$-discrete quantum group and $D_0$ a discrete quantum group associated with D. If there exists a continuous action of D on an operator algebra L(H) so that L(H) becomes a D-module algebra, and if the inner product on the Hilbert space H is D-invariant, there is a unique $C^*$-representation $\theta$ of D associated with the action. The fixed-point subspace under the action of D is a Von Neumann algebra, and furthermore, it is the commutant of $\theta$(D) in L(H).

Vol.91 No.-

This paper is a translation of < Study of the Language Image of Dialects in Movies and TV Series > published in 2021 by Wang Lining and Pan Yingying. Based on linguistic data selected from 400 movies and TV series, this article attempts to examine types, varieties, and time distribution of dialectal movies and TV series over the last decade or so and analyzes the social variables of 620 dialect users in these movies and TV series. The findings reveal that Cantonese, Southwest Mandarin, Zhongyuan Mandarin, and Northeast Mandarin are more frequently used than others in movies and TV series. These dialects have become important language resources being utilized for literary expression of local characteristics. Since 2016, the number of dialectal movies and TV series has increased significantly, and their social images have been improved, and their economic benefits have been attractive; the socio-economic status of dialect users is embodied in social factors such as “middle-aged”, “male”, “manual worker”, “low literacy”, “rural township” and “comedy”; these factors function as contributors in constructing the current language image of dialects in movies and TV series. The article argues that the creation and dissemination of language image must conform with maintaining the major status of the ‘National Commonly Used Language and Characters’; at the same time, from the perspective of protecting and inheriting dialectal cultures, the language image of dialects in movies and TV series should be prevented from being stereotyped.

Regional Science and Technology Resource Allocation Optimization Based on Improved Genetic Algorithm

( Hao Xu ),( Lining Xing ),( Lan Huang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2017 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.11 No.4

With the advent of the knowledge economy, science and technology resources have played an important role in economic competition, and their optimal allocation has been regarded as very important across the world. Thus, allocation optimization research for regional science and technology resources is significant for accelerating the reform of regional science and tech-nology systems. Regional science and technology resource allocation optimization is modeled as a double-layer optimization model: the entire system is characterized by top-layer optimi-zation, whereas the subsystems are characterized by bottom-layer optimization. To effica-ciously solve this optimization problem, we propose a mixed search method based on the orthogonal genetic algorithm and sensitivity analysis. This novel method adopts the integrated modeling concept with a combination of the knowledge model and heuristic search model, on the basis of the heuristic search model, and simultaneously highlights the effect of the knowledge model. To compare the performance of different methods, five methods and two channels were used to address an application example. Both the optimized results and simu-lation time of the proposed method outperformed those of the other methods. The application of the proposed method to solve the problem of entire system optimization is feasible, correct, and effective.

Embryological and genetic evidence of amphimixis and apomixis in Boehmeria tricuspis

        Qing Tang,Gonggu Zang,Lining Zhao,Chaohua Cheng,Zhixue Dong,Chunsheng Gao 한국식물학회 2016 Journal of Plant Biology Vol.59 No.2

Apomixis is a widespread alternative mode of sexual reproduction resulting in offspring that are genetically identical to the maternal plant. Boehmeria tricuspis (Hance) Makino is a perennial, wind-pollinated, herbaceous plant in the nettle family Urticaceae. The diploid B. tricuspis is monoecious but the triploid B. tricuspis is gynoecious, bearing female inflorescences only. Apomixis in B. tricuspis was first reported 50 years ago, but the mode of apomixis in the species has not been described yet. Here, we provide embryological observations of the embryo sac formation proving that triploid B. tricuspis reproduced apomictically following the Antennaria type of diplospory, and that the diploid individuals were the sexual genotype with the classical Polygonum-type maturation pattern of embryo sac development. A subsequent flow cytometry seed screen (FCSS) showed that the triploids were obligate apomicts with autonomous endosperm development, and the diploids reproduced sexually. In addition, a progeny test by molecular marker assays further demonstrated the above results.

A Small Bipedal Trans-Scale Precision Positioning Stage Based on Inertial Stick-Slip Driving

        Xi Zhang,Bowen Zhong,Bin Liu,Ziqi Jin,Zhenhua Wang,Lining Sun 한국정밀공학회 2021 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.22 No.3

The small size and high flexibility of the mobile platform is widely used in many fields such as electron scanning microscope (SEM), but the mobile platform still adopts the structure of guide rail at present and has the problem of large volume and poor flexibility, which cannot meet the requirements of SEM for small cavity. Therefore, this paper proposes a small bipedal trans-scale precision positioning stage based on the inertial stick-slip driving to achieve small size and high flexibility. The mobile platform consists of two piezoelectric actuators, a frame structure, two bottom plates, two pre-tightening screws, and magnets, and the volume is 15 mm × 10 mm × 9.5 mm. To investigate the locomotion characteristics of the mobile platform, a prototype is manufactured, and a series of experiments are carried out. The experimental results show that its linear motion velocity can reach 3.553 mm/s and its angular velocity can reach 462.72mrad/s, which means that the mobile platform has good motion performance.

      • Electron transport properties of Y-type zigzag branched carbon nanotubes

        MaoSheng Ye,HangKong, OuYang,YiNi Lin,Quan Ynag,QingYang Xu,Tao Chen,LiNing Sun,Li Ma Techno-Press 2023 Advances in nano research Vol.15 No.3

The electron transport properties of Y-type zigzag branched carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are of great significance for micro and nano carbon-based electronic devices and their interconnection. Based on the semi-empirical method combining tight-binding density functional theory and non-equilibrium Green's function, the electron transport properties between the branches of Y-type zigzag branched CNT are studied. The results show that the drain-source current of semiconducting Y-type zigzag branched CNT (8, 0)-(4, 0)-(4, 0) is cut-off and not affected by the gate voltage in a bias voltage range [-0.5 V, 0.5 V]. The current presents a nonlinear change in a bias voltage range [-1.5 V, -0.5 V] and [0.5 V, 1.5 V]. The tangent slope of the current-voltage curve can be changed by the gate voltage to realize the regulation of the current. The regulation effect under negative bias voltage is more significant. For the larger diameter semiconducting Y-type zigzag branched CNT (10, 0)-(5, 0)-(5, 0), only the value of drain-source current increases due to the larger diameter. For metallic Y-type zigzag branched CNT (12, 0)-(6, 0)-(6, 0), the drain-source current presents a linear change in a bias voltage range [-1.5 V, 1.5 V] and is symmetrical about (0, 0). The slope of current-voltage line can be changed by the gate voltage to realize the regulation of the current. For three kinds of Y-type zigzag branched CNT with different diameters and different conductivity, the current-voltage curve trend changes from decline to rise when the branch of drain-source is exchanged. The current regulation effect of semiconducting Y-type zigzag branched CNT under negative bias voltage is also more significant.

Effect of Scale and Sequence of Surface Textures on the Anti-adhesive Wear Performance of PVD Coated Tool in Dry Machining SLM-Produced Stainless Steel

        Kedong Zhang,Xuhong Guo,Chengdong Wang,Xiangfeng Meng,Lining Sun,Youqiang Xing 한국정밀공학회 2021 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.8 No.5

During the dry post-machining processing of selective laser melting (SLM)-produced stainless steel with TiAlN coated tool, the elements of stainless steel chips can diff use and adhere into the coated tool surface, causing serious adhesive wear. In this study, to inhibit the adhesion problem at the tool-chip interface, surface textures with different scales (micro-, nano- and micro/nano-textures) are produced on tool rake face by laser processing before and after physical vapor deposition (PVD) TiAlN coatings deposition. To investigate the cutting performance of these developed coated tools, dry machining tests of the SLM-produced stainless steel are carried out. And, the mechanical properties of textured TiAlN coatings such as the hardness, elastic modulus and critical load are also studied to explain the results from the machining tests. It can be found that the anti-adhesive wear performance of TiAlN coated tool is improved by laser surface texturing. The texture dimension significantly affects the mechanical properties and dry cutting performance of the TiAlN coated tool, and the micro/nanotextures are found to be optimum. Meanwhile, the sequence of surface textures also has an effect on the wear performance of the developed TiAlN coated tools. In the experiment, laser surface texturing before coatings is effective in acting as a barrier against flaking of the TiAlN fi lm, providing a higher active surface for the subsequent TiAlN coatings and presenting a higher compressive residual stress. Thus, the developed cutting tool which is textured before TiAlN coatings deposition presents a milder wear compared to the developed one which is textured after TiAlN coatings deposition.

      • A Novel Direct Power Control Strategy of Three-level NPC Rectifier without Abnormal Instantaneous Reactive Power Fluctuation

        LI Ning,HUANG Jingjing,ZHANG Hui,WANG Yue,WANG Zhao’an 전력전자학회 2015 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2015 No.6

A novel switching table of direct power control (DPC) strategy for three-level NPC rectifier is proposed in this paper. With the theory of instantaneous power, it gets the inner relationship between instantaneous power (active power and reactive power) and space voltage vectors. The dc-link voltages are maintained at the required level using hysteresis controller for the NP current exploiting the redundancy states of the rectifier. With the switching table proposed in this paper, the excellent dynamic and transient performances are achieved under unity power factor operation without abnormal instantaneous reactive power fluctuation. Simulation results verify the validity and feasibility of the proposed strategies.

      • Effects of Down-regulation of HDAC6 Expression on Proliferation, Cell Cycling and Migration of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Cells and Related Molecular Mechanisms

        Li, Ning,Tie, Xiao-Jing,Liu, Pei-Jie,Zhang, Yan,Ren, Hong-Zheng,Gao, Xin,Xu, Zhi-Qiao Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.2

Objective: To study the effects of down-regulation of HDAC6 expression on proliferation, cell cycling and migration of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) cells and related molecular mechanisms. Methods: ESCC cell line EC9706 cells were randomly divided into untreated (with no transfection), control siRNA (transfected with control siRNA) and HDAC6 siRNA (transfected with HDAC6 small interfering RNA) groups. Effects of HDAC6 siRNA interference on expression of HDAC6 mRNA and protein in EC9706 cells were investigated by semi-quantitative RT-PCR, Western blotting and immunocytochemistry methods. Effects of down-regulation of HDAC6 expression on cell proliferation, cell cycle, and cell migration were studied using a CCK-8 kit, flow cytometry and Boyden chambers, respectively. Changes of mRNA and protein expression levels of cell cycle related factor (p21) and cell migration related factor (E-cadherin) were investigated by semi-quantitative RT-PCR and Western blotting methods. Results: After transfection of HDAC6 siRNA, the expression of HDAC6 mRNA and protein in EC9706 cells was significantly downregulated. In the HDAC6 siRNA group, cell proliferation was markedly inhibited, the percentage of cells in G0/G1 phase evidently increased and the percentage of cells in S phase decreased, and the number of migrating cells significantly and obviously decreased. The mRNA and protein expression levels of p21 and E-cadherin in the HDAC6 siRNA group were significantly higher than those in the untreated group and the control siRNA group, respectively. Conclusions: HDAC6 siRNA can effectively downregulate the expression of HDAC6 mRNA and protein in EC9706 cells. Down-regulation of HDAC6 expression can obviously inhibit cell proliferation, arrest cell cycling in the G0/G1 phase and reduce cell migration. The latter two functions may be closely related with the elevation of mRNA and protein expression of p21 and E-cadherin.
