경남지역의 채소류와 화훼류 해충에 관한 조사

본 연구는 1996년 경남지역 주요 채소류와 화훼류 작물에 발생하는 해충과 기타 주요 해로운 동물의 종류를 알아보기 위하여 수행하였다. 오이에서는 오이총채벌레와 꽃노랑총채벌레를 포함하여 7과 8속 10종이 확인되었으며, 양파에서는 알톡토기를 포함한 4과 4속 4종이 조사되었고, 배추에서는 배추좀나방과 담배거세미나방을 포함한 10과 13속 14종이 확인되었다. 거베라에서는 아메리카잎굴파리와 점박이응애, 담배거세미나방을 포함한 8과 8속 10종이, 글라디올러스에서는 명주달팽이와 민달팽이, 들민달팽이를 포함하여 6과 7속 8종이, 국화에서는 민달팽이와 꽃노랑총채벌레를 포함한 10과 13속 14종의 해충이 확인되었다. Insect pests were surveyed on the major vegetable and floricultural crops in Gyeongnam province in 1996. In addition, some other important animal pests were included in this survey. Ten species of 8 genera in 7 families including Thrips palmi and Frankliniella occidentalis were found from cucumber; 4 species of 4 genera in 4 families including Bourletiella hortensis from onion; 15 species of 14 genera in 11 families including Plutella xylostella and Spodoptera litura from Chinese cabbage; 10 species of 8 genera in 8 families including Liriomyza trifolii, Tetranychus urticae and S. litura from gerbera; 6 species of 7 genera in 8 families including Acusta despecta, Incilaria contusa and Deroceras varians from gladiolus; and 14 species of 13 genera in 10 families including I. contusa and F. occidentalis from chrysanthemum.

응급의학과로 내원한 환자중 내원시 예상치 못했던 사망에 대한 고찰

Patients die in the emergency department frequently ; however, there has been little about the incidence and cause of Emergency Department death in the emergency medicine literature. This study was conducted retrospectively to gain insight into the patients who die suddenly and unexpectedly in the Emergency Department(ED). A total of 360 patients were pronounced dead in the ED from 1991 through 1994 in Chung Ang Gil Hospital. Of the 360 patients, 309 (86%) were brought to the ED with cardiopulmonary resuscitation in progress or as do not resuscitation(DNR) patients, leaving 51(14%) patients who met the unexpected death criteria. Of the unexpected deaths, 32(62.7%) patients presented to the ED with either abnormal vital sign (24 of 32) or some alteration in consciousness (18 of 32), or both of them (10 of 56). Medical and surgical causes of death represented 47.1% (24 patients) and 15.6% (8 patients) of the unexpected deaths respectively. Trauma represented 19 (37.3%) of the unexpected deaths, with 14 of these being the result of motor vehicle collision. The yearly incidence of unexpected ED death is presented in numbers of deaths per 10,000 ED visits. In 1991, the incidence was 3.4, and in 1992, 1993 and 1994 those were 2.7, 2.2 and 2.1 respectively.

경남지역 주요 약용작물의 해충 종류 조사

경남지역 주요 약용 작물 5종에 발생하는 해충과 기타 해로운 동물의 종류를 1999년과 2000년 2개년 동안 조사하였다. 홍화에서는 우엉수염진딧물과 꽃노랑총채벌레, 대만총채벌레, 오이총채벌레, 알락수염노린재를 포함한 13과 16속 20종이 확인되었으며, 산약에서는 꽃노랑총채벌레, 대만총채벌레, 애긴노린재를 포함한 6과 7속 10종이, 두충에서는 차주머니나방을 포함하여 6과 8속 8종이, 당귀에서는 대만총채벌레, 꽃노랑총채벌레, 차응애, 점박이응애, 복숭아혹진딧물을 포함한 11과 15속 16종이, 길경에서는 담배거세미나방, 파밤나방을 포함하여 10과 11속 14종의 해충이 확인되었다. Insect pests and some important arthropod pests infesting five medicinal crops were surveyed in Gyeongnam province in 1999 and 2000. Nineteen species of 16 genera in 12 families including Vroleucon gobonis, Frankliniella occidentalis, F. intonsa, Tetranychus cinnabarinus, Thrips parmi, and Dolycoris baccarum were identified from safflower. Ten species of 7 genera in 6 families including F. occidentalis, F. intonsa, and Nysius plebejus from yam, 8 species of 8 genera in 6 families including Eumeta minuscula from hardy rubber-tree, 16 species of 14 genera in 11 families including F. occidentalis, F. intonsa, T. kanzawai, T. urticae and Myzus persicae from Angelica gigas, 15 species of 14 genera in 11 families including Spodoptera exigua, and S. litura from balloon flower.

배관내에서 자유수면 와동에 관한 연구

During mid­loop operation of nuclear power to prevent the residual heat removal system from failure due to air entrainment of free surface vortex in the piping system a set of simulating experiments was performed. Through these experiments, a relation between the non­dimensionalized numbers, such as submergence H/d. Froude number, Reynolds number, was found. However, the effect of the Reynolds number is not so dominant as that of the Froude number. It was also found that the boundary conditions of the free surface, that is, the perturbation of the free surface due to opening of closing pump and valves have significant effects on the free surface vortex. Futhermore a modified inlet device which reducer type with vortex breaker has strongly been recommended for the prevention of air entrainment.

시나리오 역할 게임을 통한 신속 시스템 설계/검증 방법 : 패키지 응용 시스템을 대상으로 for Package Based System Implementation

Recently, many enterprises wish to preoccupy competitive positions in the market by motivating themselves towards CALS(Commerce At Light Speed), and try hard to achieve system implementation with the use of new concept-based backbone systems such as ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) or ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning). However, unfortunately there is an inevitable discrepancy during implementation period between package vendors and customers due to lack of clear methodology and misunderstanding about system. In some cases, consensus on partially verified system design invokes customers’ continuous change demands and often it tends to result in unnecessary project delays. PDM application system implementation project of the company L has been studied here to solve these sorts of problems. The major yields of this work are achievement of a willing approval from customers and rapid system design under a time-limited and conceptually defined project scope, and finally, through fully verified system design, we were able to reach successful system implementation.

한지형 잔디의 조성시기, 초종 혼합 비율이 잔디 피복에 미치는 영향

This study was conducted to find out the effect of sodding and seeding time and rate of seed mixtures on the establishment of cool-season turfgrasses by evaluating the turf coverage rates for two years.<br/> In fall planting, the required establishment period of full coverage(100%) was 1.5 months with a rolled turf sodding(Kentucky bluegrass 100%, Kentucky bluegrass 80%+Perennial ryegrass 20%). The 100% turf establishment was achieved in 7 months with Perennial ryegrass 100%, and 7.5 months by seeding with Kentucky bluegrass 100%(KB100), Kentucky bluegrass 80%+Perennial ryegrass 20%(KB80+PR20), Kentucky bluegrass 70%+Perennial ryegrass 30%(KB70+PR30).<br/> In spring planting, the establishment periods for sod with KB100 or KB80+PR20 were taken one month. However, in the case of seeding, the establishment periods were 3 months, 3.5 months, 3.5 months and 4 months with PR100, KB80+PR20, KB70+PR30, and KB100, respectively. Comparing the turf establishment vigor between fall and spring planting, the vigor was higher in spring planting than in fall planting in both sodding and seeding.<br/> In the case of spring planting, the most proper time for turf establishment was tested on April, May, and June trials. The effect was significant in establishment vigor. The result showed highest on April planting. On May and June trials, establishment vigors were decreased gradually. As the mixture rate of PR increased, ryegrass, establishment vigor was decreased with the rates. These results indicated that perennial ryegrass has relatively less tolerant to summer heat than Kentucky bluegrass.<br/> Number of shoots in 95 days after seeding was higher in KB100 by 16,600 per ㎡ than in PR100 by 12,400 per ㎡, while the lowest number showed in KB50+PR50 by 3,300 per ㎡. Those in KB80:PR20, KB70:PR30 were 6,700 and 4,900 per ㎡, respectively. The ratios of tillers according to mixture rates between Kentucky bluegrass and perennial ryegrass were KB80:PR20=87:13, KB70:PR30=78:22, and KB50:PR50=48:52.<br/> According to results in this study, ideal seeding time might be spring (April) than in fall (September), and proper mixture rate was 80% of Kentucky bluegrass with 20% of perennial ryegrass.

Reaction of ethyl 4-carbethoxy-5,6-dihydro-1,1-dioxo-2H-1,2,6-thiadiazin-5-ylethanoate with alkylamines produced N-alkyl-5-carbethoxy-2-pyridones. Oxidation of 4-aryl-3-imino-1,2,5-thiadiazolidine 1,1-dioxides afforded 4-aryl-3-amino-1,2,6-thiadiazole 1,1-dioxides. Reductive cleavage of N-substituted-N-benzylsulfamides with sodium metal in ethylenediamine also afforded N-substituted sulfamides and toluene.

Genomics-assisted breeding platform for designed cultivars

In contrast with wild species, cultivated crop genomes consist of reshuffled recombination blocks, which occurred by crossing and selection processes. Accordingly, recombination block-based genomics analysis can be an effective approach for screening target loci with agricultural traits and for developing designed cultivars. We propose the molecular breeding platform based on the variation block (VB) method, which is a three-step process for recombination block detection and comparison. The first step is to detect variations by comparing the short-read DNA sequences of the cultivar to the reference genome of the target crop. Next, sequence blocks with variation patterns are examined and defined. The boundaries between the variation-containing sequence blocks are regarded as recombination sites. All the assumed recombination sites in the cultivar set are used to split the genomes, and the resulting sequence regions are termed variation blocks. Finally, the genomes are compared using the variation blocks. The variation block method identified recurring recombination blocks accurately and successfully represented block-level diversities in the publicly available genomes of 31 soybeans and 23 rice accessions. The practicality of this approach was demonstrated by the identification of a putative locus determining soybean hilum color. In addition, we identified recombination hot spots of soybean genome in 614 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) using VB-specific indel markers. We expect that this platform facilitate the development of designed cultivars by introducing precise target loci into plant genomes.

A case of generalized morphea

Morphea, or localized scleroderma, is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by sclerotic plaques of the skin and subcutaneous tissue. It comprises a number of subtypes due to its clinical diversity. Generalized morphea is a rare subtype of localized scleroderma which occurs in a widespread manner but lacks systemic manifestations. We report a-46-year-old Korean male who presented with multiple hypopigmented and hyperpigmented sclerotic plaques on whole body 3 months ago. The lesions were located on back, abdomen, both lower arms, both axillae, both legs. The lesion was surgically incised under local anesthesia. Histopathological examination with a biopsy specimen from a patch of Right arm showed the characteristic features of morphea, including “square” appearance, interstitial and perivascular inflammatory cell infiltration and collagen bundle swelling and thickening. The patient responded to treatment with topical tacrolimus 0.1%. Topical tacrolimus acts specifically on inflammatory cells, and has anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects that inhibit the synthesis of collagen fibers, thus exerting an effect on morphea. We report a rare case of idiopathic generalized scleroderma treated with topical tacrolimus.
