Interpretations for China’s Weak Role in Managing the DPRK Nuclear Crisis

East Asian regional stability requires a peaceful solution to the DPRK nuclear crisis. Even though the ultimate rescue of this issue belongs to the US-DPRK rapprochement, Chin’s role in the DPRK denuclearization process turns out non-significant. This paper aims to interpret the reasons for China’s powerlessness in two dimensions: the Chinese-culture-born ‘all-under-heaven philosophy’ that influences Chinese diplomacy has not been provided China a Western-acceptable international relations theory to deal with the DPRK nuclear crisis; China’s changing strategy toward DPRK reduced the trust from relevant countries, which led to China’s voicelessness. Meanwhile, China’s efforts and contributions to improving the DPRK nuclear issue shouldn’t be ignored. As long as the pivot of the tribute system as a traditional peace management mechanism is ‘a rich China’ rather than ‘a forceful China’, the so-called ‘Chinese School’ should focus the efforts on economic issues that would benefit the relevant countries. In the same context, the stability of Korean peninsula should start from the exchange activities in the ‘low politics’ areas which would consolidate the public support for bilateral ties.

The identification of key regulatory factors that control osteoclastogenesis is important. Accumulating evidence indicates that circular RNAs (circRNAs) are discrete functional entities. However, the complexities of circRNA expression as well as the extent of their regulatory functions during osteoclastogenesis have yet to be revealed. Here, based on circular RNA sequencing data, we identified a circular RNA, circFam190a, as a critical regulator of osteoclast differentiation and function. During osteoclastogenesis, circFam190a is significantly upregulated. In vitro, circFam190a enhanced osteoclast formation and function. In vivo, overexpression of circFam190a induced significant bone loss, while knockdown of circFam190a prevented pathological bone loss in an ovariectomized (OVX) mouse osteoporosis model. Mechanistically, our data suggest that circFam90a enhances the binding of AKT1 and HSP90β, promoting AKT1 stability. Altogether, our findings highlight the critical role of circFam190a as a positive regulator of osteoclastogenesis, and targeting circFam190a might be a promising therapeutic strategy for treating pathological bone loss.

ValueRank: Keyword Search of Object Summaries Considering Values

The Relational ranking method applies authority-based ranking in relational dataset that can be modeled as graphs considering also their tuples’ values. Authority directions from tuples that contain the given keywords and transfer to their corresponding neighboring nodes in accordance with their values and semantic connections. From our previous work, ObjectRank extends to ValueRank that also takes into account the value of tuples in authority transfer flows. In a maked difference from ObjectRank, which only considers authority flows through relationships, it is only valid in the bibliographic databases e.g. DBLP dataset, ValueRank facilitates the estimation of importance for any databases, e.g. trading databases, etc. A relational keyword search paradigm Object Summary (denote as OS) is proposed recently, given a set of keywords, a group of Object Summaries as its query result. An OS is a multilevel-tree data structure, in which node (namely the tuple with keywords) is OS’s root node, and the surrounding nodes are the summary of all data on the graph. But, some of these trees have a very large in total number of tuples, size-l OSs are the OS snippets, have also been investigated using ValueRank.We evaluated the real bibliographical dataset and Microsoft business databases to verify of our proposed approach.

<P>High-grade gliomas are closely related to the mesenchymal phenotype which might be explained by unorthodox differentiation of glioma cancer stem cells (gCSCs). We reasoned that other non-neural stem cells, especially mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), might play a role in expressing mesenchymal phenotype of high-grade gliomas. It has long been recognized that the liver plays an important role in carbohydrate homeostasis. Petrides reported that Diabetes mellitus in insulin resistant cirrhotic patients developed as the result of progressive impairment in insulin secretion with the development of hepatic insulin resistance leading to fasting hyperglycemia and a diabetic glucose tolerance profile. Diabetic patients with debilitating illness, including hepatic cirrhosis and acute alcoholic heptitis, appear to be more prone to infections, and the accumulating evidence for an immunological defect superimposed upon the metabolic abnormalities of diabetes is becoming increasingly convincing. We described a patient with diabetes mellitus and liver cirrhosis who has purpura on body due to falling down, resulting in perineal and scrotal necrosis (Fournier`s gangrene) as well as foot gangrene. Despite aggressive antibiotic therpy and debridement, Foumier`s gangrens is associated with a high motality. We performed necrotic skin resection and reconstrucitve procedure with massive antibiotics therapy
