This paper presents a preparatory experiment to make research in a time dependent periodic heat transfer analysis of a non-air-conditioned building having south facing thermal storage mixed water-brick wall. The outer surfaces of walls/roof are exposed to periodic solar radiation and atmospheric air temperature while the inner surfaces are in contact with variable inside air temperature.

After the loss of natural teeth, alveolar ridge is rapidly recontoured during the first to 3rd years. As the result, ridge augmentation before implant placement and esthetic restoration has become a necessary procedure for the edentulous ridge. For the ridge augmentation, a membrane barrier technique with graft material underneath has been suggested. Membrane barriers have been used to mechanically protect and isolate the graft material. But it has been associated with infection upon exposure. incomplete healing, and the presence of a connective tissue layer between the membrane and the newly formed bone. However the block graft provided the mechanical support for the particulate bone graft which was Placed around the block bone without the need of any membrane barrier at horizontal ridge augmentation procedure. This study will review current articles of the ridge augmentation and will discuss the usefulness & prognosis of autogenous block graft for horizontal & vertical alveolar ridge augmentation with two case reports.

Autogenous tooth transplantation, or autotransplantation, is the surgical movement of a tooth from one location in the mouth to another in the same individual. Tooth transplantation offers one of the fastest and most economically feasible means of replacing a missing tooth. Despite the increasing use of osseointegrated implants in patients with missing teeth, their use is contraindicated in growing patients. Transplantation of available teeth remains a suitable choice for replacing missing units in young patients. Once thought to be experimental, autotransplantation has achieved high success rates and is an excellent option for tooth replacement. Successful transplantation depends on specific requirements of the Patients. the donor tooth. the recipient site, assessment of patients, and surgical procedure. The aim of this paper is to underline the evidence based principles for successful autotranbplantation and report clinical and radiographic results related with various conditions in three cases.
Alleviation of imiquimod-induced psoriasis-like symptoms in Rorα-deficient mouse skin

Retinoic acid receptor-related orphan receptor α (RORα) plays a vital role in various physiological processes, including metabolism, cancer, circadian rhythm, cerebellar development, and inflammation. Although RORα is expressed in the skin, its role in skin physiology remains poorly elucidated. Herein, Rorα was expressed in the basal and suprabasal layers of the epidermis; however, keratinocyte-specific Rorα deletion did not impact normal epidermal formation. Under pathophysiological conditions, Rorα-deficient mice exhibited alleviated psoriasis-like symptoms, including relatively intact epidermal stratification, reduced keratinocyte hyperproliferation, and low-level expression of inflammatory cytokines in keratinocytes. Unexpectedly, the splenic population of Th17 cells was significantly lower in keratinocytespecific RORα deficient mice than in the control. Additionally, Rorα-deficiency reduced imiquimod-induced activation of nuclear factor-κB and STAT3 in keratinocytes. Therefore, we expect that RORα inhibitors act on immune cells and keratinocytes to suppress the onset and progression of psoriasis. [BMB Reports 2023; 56(5): 296-301]
Extended Kalman Filter with Multi-frequency Reference Data for Quadrotor Navigation
Koog-Hwan Oh,Hyo-Sung Ahn 제어로봇시스템학회 2015 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2015 No.10
In this paper, a quadrotor navigation integrating inertial measurement unit (IMU), global positioning system (GPS), and compass sensors is proposed. The proposed extended Kalman filter(EKF)-based navigation estimates not only the position, velocity, and attitude of a quadrotor but also the moving bias of the IMU sensor when IMU and GPS have different measurement frequencies. The quadrotor navigation is verified and its performances are compared with corresponding GPS sampling frequencies through the quadrotor simulation.
Interventions for hemiplegic shoulder pain: Systematic review of randomised controlled trials.
Koog, Yun Hyung,Jin, Sang Sik,Yoon, Kwon,Min, Byung-Il Taylor Francis 2010 Disability and Rehabilitation Vol.32 No.4

Purpose. The primary aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of possible interventions for hemiplegic shoulder pain. The secondary aim was to investigate whether reduction of subluxation or spasticity can decrease shoulder pain and whether a change in shoulder pain is related to change in passive shoulder external rotation. Method. MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials databases were searched to obtain the randomised, controlled trials. Two authors independently extracted data and assessed the methodological quality of studies. Results. Eight randomised trials were found in electronic databases. Aromatherapy plus acupressure, slow-stroke back massage and intramuscular neuromuscular electric stimulation were more effective than the controls at the end of treatment sessions. Intramuscular botulinum neurotoxin A injection and intraarticular triamcinolone acetonide injection were not helpful at one or three months after the end of treatment. Only intramuscular electric stimulation was effective at three months. These analyses found that shoulder pain improved independently of spasticity and subluxation. It was confirmed that the change in shoulder pain was associated with change in passive shoulder external rotation. Conclusions. Although five interventions were used for managing hemiplegic shoulder pain, their effects were limited in the context of trials.

This paper aims to identify the features and meanings of second-person narrative. The results can be summarized as follows. First, pronoun `you` in second-person texts indicate narrator as subject of discourse, character as subject of action, and narratee, real reader, one as recipient of speech act. Second, narrator`s address in second-person narratives towards `you` as general recipient and special recipient. As a result, tests manifest absence of story, performance of narrator, and first-person epistemology. Third, second-person texts based on life experience of you-character universalize or individualize the experience. The former criticizes readers, while the latter manifest a sense of guilt or phallicism.
