• 아스팔트 콘크리트의 고온변형저항 특성 측정방법 개발

김광우,이문섭,김중렬,이순제 강원대학교 부설 석재복합신소재 제품연구센터 2002 석재연 논문집 Vol.7 No.-

This study dealt with developing a new approach for finding properties which might represent rut resistance characteristics of asphalt mixture under static loading. Two aggregates, a normal asphalt (pen 60-70) and 5 PMAs were used in preparation of 12 dense-grade mixtures. Marshall mix design was used in determination of the optimum asphalt content (OAC) and each mixture at the OAC was prepared for a newly-developed Kim test on Marshall specimen (S=10 cm) and gyratory specimen (S=15cm), and for wheel tracking test. Kim test used Marshall loading frame and the specimen was conditioned for 30min at 60℃ before loading through Kim tester, and apparatus consisting of a loading column and a specimen and column holder. Diameter (D) of column was 3cm and 4cm with each column having different radius (r) of round cut at the bottom. The static load was applied at 50mm/min in axial direction of the specimen, not in diameteral direction, and the maximum load (P_max) and vertical deformation (y) at the maximum load point were measured. A curve, similar to the one from a Marshall test or static indirect tensile strength test was obtained from each test. A strength value was calculated based on the P_max, H(=D-2r). r and y by using the equation K_D=4P_max/π(H+2√(2ry-y^2))^2 and is defined as deformation strength (kgf/㎠). The values of P_max/y and K_I=K-D/y were also calculated to see if these have any correlation with rutting. In general, D and r were significant factors affecting K_D, while specimen size was not. The statistical analyses results showed the K_D had the best correlation with rut depth and dynamic stability. The next best correlation was found from P_max which was followed by P_max/y and K_I in order. Therefore, K_D can be used for selecting the highly resistable asphalt mixture against permanent deformation.

康宇哲,徐洸善,田贊和,金在恩,蘇興烈 이화여자대학교 한국문화연구원 1979 韓國文化硏究院 論叢 Vol.33 No.-

This is a research report of the research that led to the opening of a population education course at Ewha Womans University. The research itself may be divided into the following four parts: planning for the research ; preparatory work for a population education course; opening of a population course; and evaluation of the population course. In the first stage of the research, the work, as usual, consisted of organizing the research team, setting up the research objectives, planning the research schedule, etc. The project began in the Fall of 1974, and concluded in the Fall of 1978. In the second stage of the research, the work was carried out for the preparation of a course in population education. Several sessions of faculty conference, in which more than 40 professors from various fields of specialization participated, were held in order to determine the specific objectives of the proposed course, to draw up a syllabus, and to prepare for a textbook for the course. When a rough sketch of the syllabus, and the contents of the course was made a student group was organized to examine and evaluate it. In the third stage of the research, a population education course titled "Population and Future" was opened as an elective course in the general education curriculum. This was in the Fall of 1875, and the course remained open every semester until now. An anthology with the same title as the course itself was used for reading, and the teaching was carried out as a team teaching by a team of 6-9 professors. In the fourth stage of the research, an evaluative study was taken up in order to evaluate the course with regard to its structure, textbook, teaching method, and its contents, as well as to assess the effectiveness of the course on terms of the students' change in their cognitive and emotive or attitudinal response to population problem.

      • Hydrogen for the Future Green Energy

( Ha Suck Kim ),( Sung Yul Bong ),( Seung Hee Woo ) 경남대학교 신소재연구소 2012 신소재연구 Vol.24 No.-

Many agree that the future energy will be hydrogen after the recent energy crisis which brought us to reconsider seriously about possible alternatives after fossil fuel for mankind. There are abundant sources for hydrogen-water, and it burns to form water. However, in order for us to adopt the new energy system, many hurdles have to be overcome. They are how to produce hydrogen economically, ways to store and transport safely, and ways to generate electricity efficiently, to name a few. Electrochemical generation of hydrogen needs a high overvoltage, thus, it is a very expensive way at the moment. Also, storage and transport require many fundamental researches. Efficient use of hydrogen is fuel cell. Fuel cells have been received a considerable interest as power sources because they exhibit high energy efficiency and are environmentally friendly. Despite these advantages, fuel cells in general need to overcome economic barriers for wide applications. Main barriers are the cost of materials such as platinum used in catalysts and proton conducting polymer. Catalysts are the core material for fuel cell and many attempts have been made to find out the most active, efficient and durable formulae in the MEA preparation step.[1-2] In this respect, works performed in our group for fuel cell catalysts will be summarized, they are preparation of by galvanostatic pulse electrodeposition on Nafion-bonded carbon layer [3-5], and effect of carbon supports for catalysts. Improved catalytic performance by choosing appropriate flow channels in the support was also observed. Also in this presentation, energy statistics and efficient way of use energy, possible future energy scheme will be discussed. [1] Hubert A. Gasteiger, Shyam S. Kocha, Bhaskar Sompalli, Frederick T. • Insect diversity in Korea

        Hong-Yul Seo,Tae-Woo Kim,Ki-Gyung Kim,Tae-Wha Kang,Seon-Yi Kim,Jinhan Kim 한국응용곤충학회 2016 한국응용곤충학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2016 No.04

The Ministry of Environment in Korea published 'The Compilation of National List of Indigenous Insect Species of the Korean Peninsula' in 1996 including 11,853 species. The National Institute of Biological Resources (NIBR) originally compiled the national species list of insects to establish a national inventory of endemic biological assets with the joined efforts from all distinguished Korean taxonomists since 2008. For the convenience of scores of professional taxonomic groups participating in the project concurrently, the NIBR has developed the NIBR inventory description method and inventory system from 2008 to 2016. For nine years in this study, the NIBR has established the national insect inventory of 16,558 species including Collembola. The insect fauna of the Korean Peninsula comprises 565 families from 30 orders. The largest orders are Coleoptera (110 families, 4,318 species), Lepidoptera (67 families, 3,733 species), Hymenoptera (61 families, 3,151 species), Hemiptera (88 families, 2,013 species) and Diptera (79 families, 1,944 species). The fractions of the main insect orders in the fauna of the Korean peninsula correspond to those in the Holarctic temperate zone. And totally 13 volumes of national list of insect species in Korea were published.

      • A Novel Approach To Develop Biopesticides Based On Entomopathogenic Fungi

        Jae Su Kim,Eun Ok Woo,Jong Sung Park,Yun Sung Kim,Tae-Joon Kim,Kyoung-Sung Kim,Jong Yul Roh,Jae Young Choi,Yeon Ho Je 한국응용곤충학회 2008 한국응용곤충학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2008 No.05

Among the cultured products of Beauveria bassiana SFB-205 (KCCM 10892P), the supernatant showed the highest insecticidal activity against 2nd instars of Aphis gossypii (Aphididae) nymphs under glasshouse condition. The enzymes in the supernatant were confirmed as active materials, and the chitinase was finally selected as a QC factor for commercial production. However, the chitinase activity in the supernatant decreased by 11-folds due to the thermal stress at 50℃ for 2 h. To obtain thermal stability, the chitinase in the supernatant was adsorbed to a precipitable material and the pellet was freeze-dried (PCT/KR2007/005886). The adsorbent-A showed about 92.7% of harvesting efficiency which was higher than the other candidates. The chitinase activity of the freeze-dried powder was kept up about 82.0% of initial activity for the same thermal stress. Subsequently, an optimal formulation recipe was established to maximize long-term storage stability and efficacy. SFB-205 oil-based formulation was stable up to 18 months at room temperature. It showed 96.1% efficacy against 2nd instars of A. gossypii nymphs at 1 day after the treatment in the glasshouse. This novel approach can be a promising method to develop competitive biopesticies in the entomopathogenic fungi, even though it needs to be intensively studied.

A Hand Gesture Recognition Sensor Using Reflected Impulses

        Kim, Seo Yul,Han, Hong Gul,Kim, Jin Woo,Lee, Sanghoon,Kim, Tae Wook IEEE 2017 IEEE SENSORS JOURNAL Vol.17 No.10

This paper introduces a hand gesture recognition sensor using ultra-wideband impulse signals, which are reflected from a hand. The reflected waveforms in time domain are determined by the reflection surface of a target. Thus every gesture has its own reflected waveform. Thus we propose to use machine learning, such as convolutional neural network (CNN) for the gesture classification. The CNN extracts its own feature and constructs classification model then classifies the reflected waveforms. Six hand gestures from american sign language (ASL) are used for an experiment and the result shows more than 90% recognition accuracy. For fine movements, a rotating plaster model is measured with 10 degrees step. An average recognition accuracy is also above 90%.
